We are just leaving Little Good Harbour and felt compelled to leave an excellent review.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by Ian, who is perfectly suited to lead the guest experience. He truly does whatever it takes — from carrying our heavy suitcases to warmly welcoming us each day at the Fish Pot restaurant. His care and attention set the tone for the entire stay.
The Fish Pot deserves special mention. My wife and I enjoyed the most wonderful breakfasts, lunches, and dinners there. Every member of the restaurant team had a genuine can-do attitude. One example says it all: when we asked if the cod in the fish and chips could be replaced with the catch of the day — snapper — the answer was an easy “yes.” It turned out to be the best fish and chips I’ve ever had.
Culture clearly starts at the top. Owner Andrew ensures that every guest feels welcome and cared for. On the day of our departure — his day off — he came in to help out, including carrying our luggage down the stairs. That kind of leadership makes a real difference.
Our accommodation was a very comfortable two-storey suite, beautifully equipped with a full kitchen and living area on the ground floor, a dining table on our porch, and an upstairs bedroom with a balcony and lovely sea view. Everything we needed was there.
The beach and snorkeling were another highlight. There’s a floating dock that makes it easy to snorkel right off the beach, with an impressive variety of fish and reef only about 100 feet away. We especially appreciated that there were very few boats nearby, unlike many other beaches on the island — it felt peaceful and safe.
We truly loved our stay and are already looking forward to returning.
