Little Governors' Camp

Superb staff added to excellent safari experience. Luxury tent was fine considering you are out on safari most of the time. Food was good. It is the perfect spot to go on trips and see the animals. Would certainly recommend

Going back after 24 years was worth it. Even with a few changes, it was still the same. We had a very special time with family and friends who joined us from Nairobi for the special day. We also had the best guide/driver, Mika Ole Kirokor. He has so much knowledge about the different animals and explains them in detail.

The service is great. The food really is surprisingly good for being in the middle of the Mara. The safaris really were unforgettable. You feel completely integrated into nature. The hot water bottles placed in your bed at night are such a nice touch. Morning wake up call with tea or coffee. :-) Highly recommend. Can’t wait to go back!

I stayed as a solo traveler during the low season and had a great experience. The camp was very quiet due to the season, meaning it was peaceful and the service was good. The food was excellent, the property being on a marsh meant it was alive with sound and movement constantly, and the game drives were nice even with the rains. The room/tent itself was basic for the price you pay. For being alone and during the low season I believe I paid a fair price for what I received, but during high season I would not pay the higher price to stay in that tent—other camps have much more comfortable accommodations and better service. Thus if you want a more low key camp with classic decor, a marsh atmosphere (versus river or mara), good food, and simple accommodations this would be a solid spot.

The place to be....for all people who wants to enjoy nature in silence with all its beauty and without mass tourism. And add on giving yourself a luxury treat. Because in little Govenors the guests are still treated as if they and theire wellbeing is all that really matters. The Drivers give theire everything including the massiv experience to give you the best gamedrives possible, but even they can not influence wildlife. Still it is nature and that is the best of it. No influence recognizable. I hope this will stay this way as long as possible. Please be respectful with the people and nature so future generations may have the chance to experience this wonder too. Thank you to the whole staff !!!! Yes, it is expensive...but it is an experience of a lifetime !!! We will definitely be back !!!!

A safari to remember. The service was great, the guides amazing and the animals, they were not shy. Well cleaned and just right amount of room. The tea and biscuit in the morning a perfect wake up. The view amazing. Would come back! Highly recommend!

Along with good friends, my husband & I visited Little Governor's Camp in Masai Mara, Kenya, for a week (June, 2023). I can't rave enough about our experience. The warmth & hospitality of the staff was genuine. Our guide, Ngei, was informative & made every effort to educate us about the wildlife & culture of the Masai Mara. We saw many more animals & birds than we ever imagined possible. Every safari was truly an adventure. Back at camp, we were served delicious, beautifully presented meals with very personalized service. Our tent was quite comfortable & well-equipped. Please visit this exceptional place...you won't be disappointed!

My wife and I had the most wonderful time here! The staff are amazing and very friendly. Our guide (Jackson) really made our stay something special. We will definitely be returning.
