Cute little spot. The food was surprisingly good. It was an interesting experience eating some of the dishes that came out. We ordered the vegetarian platter and the BBQ prawns. There were 6 of us and at first we thought that was alot of food the plates just kept coming but we actually did well finishing everything

Google
Loved it ! Went a few weeks ago and have been meaning to review ! We had 5 drinks 2 mains and an entree for $170. Very reasonable considering the quality of the meals ! Loved the octopus legs special and the drinks were great. Thanks !

Google
Good food, great service. We enjoyed the Little Greek Platter between the four of us and it was more than enough food and tasty too. Dips and bread were probably the highlight.

Honestly, this place – if you love Greek food and great people, then do yourself a favour and book in already!!! The amazing wait staff – they make our visit so memorable in truth, they are pure sunshine – happy, accommodating and we enjoy coming in to see them, it’s half the fun when you go out to eat talking to the people who make a place what it is. Now let’s talk about food – Greek at its absolute best! It is so good; we are trying it all AND will be back again soon!

Had a very enjoyable dinner here with my friends. The pita bread was served warm and we enjoyed it with the tzatziki dip and cavier dip. We were also recommended the grilled prawn pasta which was an absolute delight, the noodles tasted like the sea! The grilled octopus (special menu) was also well seasoned and very delicious.

Google
What a lovely lunch we had here and the service was wonderful too. The food was delicious we had the garlic prawns, calamari and octopus and it was absolutely delicious, you must try this little gem, you won’t be disappointed

Google
Food was quite tasty but I felt like the portions were not very generous. The spinach leaves were a bit sad and unnecessary, the dishes not presented very well. I liked the prawn saganaki, the prawns were tender and well cooked. It was also narrow on the side walk so I felt like people were constantly walking and cycling very close to our table.

Google
got the florinian platter. The dip & pita was pretty small, the kefalogravriera was great, the salad was a decent portion but not that tasty, and the souvlaki's were tasty but not enough. Leaving a 3* as I may return. Its pricey for the ratio of food, but the quality was good overall.

Yelp
After my first experience about a year ago at the Little Greek Taverna, I stayed away from this place for quite a while because of the overly-gamey Lamb Souvla, a house special that was left an impression - and not in a good way. Upon hearing how good their pitas were, me and a few friends decided on going just for their pitas. I got the chicken souvlaki and haloumi pita wrap (11), which was definitely better than that lamb. The chicken was tender and not over-grilled, and was very flavourful - but just a bit too salty that I had a difficult time trying to eat it all! To be fair, there was quite a bit of meat, too. The wrap was a toasty, fluffy, thick pita that was satisfying, especially with the haloumi! So yum! I must say, a much better experience than my first time. Next time, I could definitely go without the meat.

Yelp
Not My type. Half row Salmon is not My type although We asked for well done already. This is a place suit for friends hv nightlife fun with quite loud music. Not for people want a Talk or date.

Yelp
Everytime I walk by this place they are always busy and I rarely see an empty table! If you can, I'd recommend making a reservation, that way you won't have to spend time waiting for a table to open up. We got the pita bread to share, and I went with the Lamb Yiros + Haloumi Pita as my main. The pita bread was delicious! The pita itself was soft yet lightly toasted to the right amount. The spread that came with it was fluffy and had a hint of spice that gave it a good kick. For my main, the yiro was super filling!!! I didn't even need to eat any of the pita bread to fill me up. Inside was stuffed full of thin sliced lamb pieces that tore easily into your mouth. The haloumi on the inside was so nicely grilled that it was still so soft and for a second I thought I was eating fish (texture wise at least). the yogurt filling and vege on the inside was a perfect compliment to an already great dish. I'll be back!

Yelp
Being Greek I have eaten far too much Greek food over the years and become a bit of a snob about it now. While in Brisbane a friend told me we had to check this place out and I figured why not seeing as it was located in the 'Little Greece' part of town. We wandered through on a Saturday afternoon and they managed to squeeze us in at a table as walk-ins. My friend had the lamb yiros with halloumi and was impressed with it. I went for the keftedes which are Greek meatballs. The keftedes come with 8 meatballs and a side Greek salad. I was in love with the flavouring of the meatballs as it was 100% like being back having dinner with my Greek family. What I was unimpressed with was the presentation and amount of food for the price. The food tastes authentic to me but check in with the waitstaff about what you will be getting in the dish as 8 meatballs and a small side salad does not do anything for my appetite as a Greek or not, some bread or something else would have made the meal much more filling. Service was prompt and friendly even with the restaurant looking quite full.

Yelp
Getting some ethnic food in while on exchange, I am a very happy person! Greek food hits the spot! I've always known that West End was the THE place to go for some ethnic food, but I wasn't sure exactly what I was craving until one time I went to the farmer's market and sampled some hummus and pita break - that's when it hit me when my search for a good Greek restaurant in Brisbane began. I came across this restaurant via Yelp and it had a pretty good reputation. I have come here twice, one with a party of 4 and another a party of 15. The best thing about this place is that they were able to accommodate both sizes and in neither night was worse than the other. I will note that you should call in advance to make a booking because this place does get crowded especially Friday-Sunday nights. I was even lucky when I made an rsvp for 4, that I called in 3 hours before and just put my name in. For larger parties like 15, it is best to call a day before. The food was great as well as the selection of Greek food. I enjoyed the tatziki, babaganoush, and other dips that I can't pronounce/spell. One thing I found odd was that pita bread is not included with any of the dishes but as a separate order. How do you eat these items without it? So of course we had to order them. If you're going with a larger party, the family banquets are definitely the way to go as that was advised by the restaurant since it would be easier and faster to prepare. It is a good amount of food and you definitely will be full by the end of the evening! If you have even more space in your stomach, I recommend the desserts as well!

Yelp
We came here for lunch after our elopement in the botanical gardens and absolutely loved it! Beautiful atmosphere, great waitstaff. The lamb gyro was awesome. We had to force ourselves to eat somewhere else the rest of our time in Brisbane, because we loved it so much. It was our "backup" restaurant the rest of our trip.

Yelp
Oh Dolmades Thou art lovelier than a summer's day. Your tart vine skins burst at the touch of my fork, you lay on the soft mounds of lemon potatoes as you ooze supple curves of spiced rice and mince. You truly are the belle of this ball (and are the cause behind the many lecherous glances from our neighbours.) ...Forgive my quite unashamed lustfulness but apparently I'm in excellent company, Brisbane LOVES Greek food. In fact we guzzle our way through 500 kg of Haloumi and 100,000 honey puffs at Paniyiri festival every year. And that's not including the amount of Mediterranean fair being enjoyed daily at the scores of Greek restaurants Brisbane offers. I first chanced upon this little Taverna on Browning St after the second week of its grand opening and after the first bite of their famous sensuously soft, melt-in-your-mouth lemon potatoes I was hooked. Looking back, I remember the many gleeful Little Greek reviews I bestowed upon my friends and now as a frequent customer I have learned to keep this gem a local secret. Be prepared to book a week ahead because someone (ain't me!) has spread the word, and if you attempt to get a table on a Friday night you will be met by several pitying glances from the staff. And understandably so, it's a great place to meet up, (or to people watch the more unusual inhabitants of Westend strolling past.) The space is inviting and modern and the prices are so reasonable it's caused more than one double take at the bill. This local legend is here to stay, so Bon Appétit! ..Or as the Greeks put it Kalí óreksi!

Yelp
There are so many yummy things on the menu at Little Greek, the best way to eat there is to grab a couple of friends and dine tapas style. Their serving sizes aren't huge so don't be afraid to order quite a few dishes. I went with my brother and boyfriend and between us we had chicken yiros, chargrilled octopus, haloumi and salad, stuffed mushrooms, a seftelyes (traditional pork sausage) and two serves of pita bread. Whilst this was sufficient, we weren't stuffed, and for about $20 each, it was a decent meal. The only thing about little Greek is that it doesn't have great ambiance, particularly during the day, when the traffic really intrudes on the dining experience. By night I imagine it's more pleasant. Decor is minimal with plain plastic tables and chairs, making it a casual affair. Despite it's lack of ambiance, for tasty Greek food and value for money, Little Greek is definitely one of the better options in West End.

Yelp
How am I supposed to communicate this love for Little Greek Taverna? I can't even tell you how much I'm in love with And the spanakopita? Not only have I had spanakopita from the Greek festival, but also from a bonafide Greek grandma with the highest standards in recipe authenticity. But if I can commend anywhere else on its authentic Greek food, it's here. The chicken yiros actually makes me want to drool right now, and whenever I get it, I always order it in a wrap with extra haloumi, which is TO DIE FOR. Plus it's a place where you can get a full meal that fills you up for about the next 48 hours plus a drink for under $15. When you find a place that gives you amazing food at insanely great prices, you know it's going to be a big hit. And it is. Little Greek Taverna is busy all the time. But even during peak busy period - even though that's technically all the time for Little Greek Taverna - they still have time to run through the ridiculously long and equally enticing list of specials on offer that night. I love love that they put forward their personal favourites as recommendations to customers. I'm a girl who likes to know what she's getting in to, and they're more than willing to oblige me. I can't rave about Little Greek enough. Authentic Greek success!

Yelp
Dined here with 3 others. All the food was fine, plenty of flavour. however service was very slow. Menu's and glasses for our BYO came out in good time but we had to flag the staff to take our order (30 min later). The mains came out but no entrée's. Entree's arrived 5 minutes after the mains, because it was Greek and we were all sharing I guess it worked out OK but bread and dip during main course didn't really go with the flow. Again it put a negative mark on the service. All in all: Good food, good value, poor service and lots of road noise.

Yelp
We booked a table ahead after calling and were seated quickly however menus were thrown on the table prior to being seated. We then had to wait some time (5-10) minutes before we were asked about ordering and water for the table. We ordered some pita breads and dips (tzatziki and Mamas Salsa). Both were tasty. My two kids ordered the Chicken souvlaki from the kids menu. It was basically one chicken skewer and a handful of chips thrown on a plate. No choice of salad as a side and to be fair I should have asked. I ordered the chicken yiros with Greek salad. The portion size wasn't great and whilst the salad was nice, it was dripping in olive oil. I was still hungry once finished. A quick 'how's your meal' after meals were served was the only service received.....nobody came to offer more water, take more drinks orders or offer desserts so service needs attention. There are better Greek places within a short distance and was a little disappointed after reading some other reviews...won't be coming back.

Yelp
MASSIVELY Overpriced!!!!! Ordered LGT take-out. Spent an ABSOLUTE PACKET. We ordered five dishes, expecting to get a feast for three people. There was barely enough food. It was so disappointing. The bread was even soggy. Granted, the food was tasty. But, there is NO WAY I would recommend this place as 'value for money.' The containers were woefully empty, I actually thought it was a joke. I have such a bad taste in my mouth (figuratively speaking) after having Little Greek Taverna.

Yelp
Little Greek Taverna is MOST DEFINITELY the best Greek food available in Brisbane. There is no such thing as a quiet night here, getting a table is difficult even at those times when you think it would be quiet, eg 5pm or 8.30pm on a weekday, which is when I have visited the last two times. Booking, therefore, is highly recommended! Booking for a large group is recommended WELL in advance. The place is tiny, and cannot fit in a lot of patrons, therefore you will most likely find yourselves in close quarters to the table next to you, or eating out on the sidewalk amongst bus fumes. Its so worth the hassle of getting in here though, the food is just amazing. I can definitely recommend the grilled marinated octopus with greek salad, the haloumi and the eggplant dip. There are generally specials on each day, and if you are lucky, one of those might be their lamb shanks. This is seriously one of the best pieces of meat that is likely to pass your lips; falling apart, moist, to die-for. With a side of lemon potatoes, this surely has to be the ultimate meal. Its BYO, there is awesome greek coffee, iced coffees and desserts available as well.

Yelp
Pretty average. Actually been here a few times and it really isn't that impressive. There are definitely other Greek places at west end that are better. This menu is not good value for money and their specials never change. The serving sizes are small and the flavour just isn't there, it doesn't taste fresh and exciting like real Greek should. I ordered the octopus and it was bland, i asked for extra lemon to help it taste better and the waitress brought me out slices of lemon (bit hard to squeeze and use for a meal, maybe a drink - but not a meal) - which brings me onto my next point. The service was below average. Two of my male companions ordered apple juice and it came in the bottle with a straw, now normally it wouldn't be too bad, but elderly males don't often drink from straws, aside from that with the heat a nice glass with ice would have been very appropriate. Further more., as it was an exceptionally hot day and we had to request for glasses with ice. When the waitress returned she brought us an ice bucket and placed it on the ground - not sure where that practice came from. There was just no attention to detail or care for the customer. Which I don't really understand when I noticed there were only 4 tables in use and at least 6 waitstaff in the front of end area. I also don't believe it is appropriate for staff to be wearing singlets (especially male ones) - I understand it's hot but it's hospitality, you work with food and you should be leaving a positive impression for your self and your business. Will not be hurrying back to this little Greek place again.

Yelp
The Little Greek Taverna is my favorite restaurant so far in Brisbane. Perfect Greek food, nice service! My boyfriend and I always go for the platter, cheap and perfect We go at LTG almost every week and we always have a good time.

Yelp
A surprise little find when I was up that way for a vacation. Another excellent place to eat in Brisbane's West End. Traditional Greek Food, very well done, is what they serve, and great flavours and quality abound. You NEED to book to get in here, yes it is that good. Selections like Saganaki, Pita + Dips, meatballs, vegetarian options as well as the nicely seasoned grilled meats and fish, and the specials (I had a fork tender Lamb Shank that was so good) Well worth it
google avatar

Spencer J.

Yelp
This place is better and more reasonably priced than other Greek places on Boundary, but it's just ok. The lamb was decent, the salmon was over-cooked. Nothing terrible, just not exciting. I can say the atmosphere is nice with ample outdoor seating.

Yelp
'Little Greek' may offer the best greek food I have ever experienced but it also has some of the worst service I have ever experienced. Mind you, I came here on a busy night with a group of close to ten people and large groups are harder to attend to. But still, my friends and I found the service blatantly rude. It was a Thursday night and this little restaurant was packed! The smell was amazing and had all of us salivating. We ordered 2 separate banquets and a couple of people ordered a-la-carte. What was very frustrating is how NOTHING arrived at the same time. I don't know about you but when I order a banquet, I like the food to come out all together . With this place, the haloumi would arrive, then 20 minutes later we would get the salad and half an hour later only one meat dish would arrive. I think it took 2 hours for us to get everything onto the table (No, I am not exaggerating). The whole thing became really exhausting for all of us. Whenever we politely asked the waiters questions, they were fairly rude and would give us a "I don't have time for your dramas attitude". This is such a shame because the food was delicious. The chicken Souvlaki was the best I have ever had. What I gathered from this experience is that 'Little Greek' is not a good place for groups. Nor is it good for service. Next time I come here it will be with 1 or 2 people, and on a quieter night.

Yelp
This is one of those places that I have over-done (by normal people's standards), I went the first time mid-week and it was packed, I came the next night and it was packed...I came 2 or 3 days later and it was packed...Why? Cause this place serves up some of if not THE best Greek food in Brisbane. You'd expect the food that you get here to cost you twice as much as it does because its just soooo good. Recommendations? I will give you my sample menu (usually when I go here it has to consist of most of this, menu permitting). 1) Tzatziki and Pita Bread 2) Stuffed Mushrooms 3) Lamb Souvla (Lemon preferably, but the tomato sauce is almost as good) - I usually get the lemon potatoes or Greek Salad with this. 4) Dolmades 5) Grilled Octopus Do it - Go now.....But make sure you book early (seriously) or you will be waiting in line forever!
google avatar

Linh D.

Yelp
Overpriced for what it was, especially when you take into consideration taste and portion size too. The lamb and chicken on our shared platter was a bit dry, and it didn't come with any dips which is a super weird way to serve a platter.
google avatar

Yasmeen A.

Yelp
Always great service at Little Greek and have never experienced a bad meal! I recommend ordering from their specials menu, the serving sizes are very generous (lamb shank is very big) and affordable. Little Greek is always busy, so try getting in early (as some of their specials do run out) or making a booking!
google avatar

Simon H.

Yelp
From the outside this place looks really cool, an old house in South Brisbane converted into a restaurant...and a couple of old Greek guys sitting on the front verandah for good measure. But that is where the coolness ends. We had the banquet and it was the least authentic Greek food I have eaten. The dips tasted like they came from a jar, the vege platter was still chilled from being in the fridge and the kebabs were dry and lacking flavour. The highlight was the pork...it was delicious. The service was good, the wine menu good for such a small place and the ambiance pleasant for a Wednesday night...and it was relatively cheap. Being from Melbourne, the second home of Greeks, maybe I have been spoiled for choice for too long.

Yelp
Food was great with honest service. Love this place, I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a quiet catch up.
google avatar

Ben M.

Yelp
Managed to get a single seat on a walk-in, which was great. The food was nice, really enjoyed the greek salad and lamb shanks. Lemon potatoes were probably good to share, but basically 3 potatoes for one person is a lot. Def. worth trying.
google avatar

Simone R.

Yelp
I first found Little Greek when I moved to Brisbane in 2012, being a poor university student I was more than happy to be paying $15 for a huge special. Three years on and although my diet has moved on from two minute noodles and tinned Tuna I still have the ultimate appreciation for Little Greek. Though the prices have slightly increased the food is just as good. I challenge anyone to go past the Lemon Potato's, if anything else these bad boys are worth the trip! Always a wonderful atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff!
google avatar

Alexander S.

Yelp
All dishes were great and authentic, what was missing is a bit of love... It takes a little bit to change a good meal into a great one and unfortunately it was a miss in our diner. I'll definitely return again to try something new, hope to see some Greek love that will bring the food onto a new level.

Poider G.

Yelp
You marvellously wonderful Haloumi. Very greek food. The family was impressed . 5/5 stars from me would cum again.
google avatar

Seyran C.

Yelp
After our last questionable Greek food experience in west end, I was hesitant to try the Greek taverna. Apart from the service, which many others have also mentioned in these posts, the experience was pleasant. The dishes all appear to be generous (for Australia), fresh, and delicious. I ordered the kolokithakia as an appetizer, (shaved and fried zucchini, served with tzatziki) followed by the chicken and halloumi yiros (which was delicious and yogurt-ey). Considering the prices and proximity to work, I would gladly return here for lunch and look forward to trying some of their larger, dinner options. For the time being, I give it 3 stars because it is a-ok, worth coming back to, but not food I think off as I fall asleep at night.
google avatar

Kristen W.

Yelp
Delicious food! Very authentic; my friend and I ordered the vegetarian share plate and were worried about being hungry, but it was plenty of food, and reasonably priced! I will definitely be back for another dinner!

Yelp
I'm not actually sure where to begin with this one. There was good, there was bad and then there was puzzling. Food is very reasonably priced and comes in pretty decent portion sizes. They have their regular menu and then they have their 'specials' though these always seem to be the same or similar every time I go. One thing that really annoys me is they always seem to run out of items on the menu. If you're a Greek restaurant how do you run out of lemon potatoes or moussaka? That's like a pizza joint running out of cheese. It's just not supposed to happen. And I'm eating at 6. It's not towards their closing time, it's early in the evening. I just don't really think there is any excuse for that. We had to change our order twice because they ran out. The waiters tend to do the old dump and run on the table. As in announce the dish and just throw it on the table for us to sort out. There's not much care taken there. That being said, the food does come out fairly quickly. Corkage is a bargain at $2 a head so BYO. The service here is nothing spectacular. There's a don't care sort of attitude to the staff here that I can't quite put my finger on. I found the stuff to be a little mocking and patronising. Very hard to describe why I didn't like it but I just didn't feel comfortable. We were seated outside on a chilly evening but they do have heaters above the table which helped and I appreciated that. You are seated on a busy street and depending what side of the restaurant your seated on, some tables are pretty much a bus stop. Don't expect ambience. Expect noise. Another thing that irked me as that we were rushed on. As in we were being told to vacate the table because they 'needed it back' before they had even asked if we wanted the bill. If I was a hardened criminal I would have liked to have just walked off without the bill to prove a point but as I'm not, we paid and left before our meals had even settled. At least the bill wasn't insane. $150 for five people. If I had my way again, I'd probably choose somewhere different.

Carolyn D.

Yelp
It would seem that the majority of the reviews for LGT regarding staff are negative. This was not my experience. I dropped in relatively late in the afternoon and there were a few diners eating at the outside tables, but I decided to go inside. Kyriakos was my waiter and the service was excellent. Very polite, very helpful and very cute :). Kyri also helped me with some additional Greek vocabulary . My Greek is very rusty and he helped me polish it up a little for a presentation of Ordering and Drinking in Greece, or West End :). I didn't order much - my mind was more on Greek words than food. But what I did order was excellent. Chicken with lots of lemon. Yum. . . I will be back for more of everything.

Yelp
Really nice food, and the staff are friendly and attentive without making it a big deal. Super busy and still great service and food! Would happily come back!

Patrice B.

Yelp
I had the garlic prawns and salad. Delicious and light, with a byo wine! The food the other diners had looked pretty good too, and prices are reasonable

Liam F.

Yelp
Very nice food, reasonably priced, large servings. Gets very busy - strongly recommend booking for early in the night as I've occasionally seen large tables waiting in the street because a previous booking is still eating.

Caroline B.

Yelp
Very disappointing. Soft drink served in the can. Feta and capsicum very tasty but served on white bread. Nothing Greek about the bread. Cutlets well cooked but no added flavour. No potatoes or rice served with meal and not available as a side dish. The noise (music?!) from the bar opposite was very loud as was the traffic noise. The taverna is located at the junction of 4 busy roads.
