Loved this family run eatery. Indoor and outdoor dining. Staff are incredibly friendly. I love their scones (tea biscuits - I buy extra and put them in the freezer) Home made soups look delicious and the smells coming from their little kitchen full of busy cooks smell amazing.

Better than many similar joints in Vancouver. Homey, old school atmosphere with the food offerings to match. Recommended for when you want to dine on Canadian basics.

What an absolutely fantastic establishment! I have purchased little hobo soups from the local stores for a few years and have always thought they were really good. I never realised they had a store and I dropped in today to get a sandwich for my lunch. I got such a warm, personal welcome when I walked in the door. I ordered a turkey sandwich on brown and it was absolutely delicious. This is by far my favourite place to grab lunch and eat in or grab something for dinner. 6 Star review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Rainy day in Kelowna. Craved some soup and sandwich. Happened upon this place and so glad we did. This place has heart and you can tell from the moment you walk in. I was very happy to see all the veggie options. Ordered myself the most delicious borscht. The Avacado lettuce tomato sandwich was simple and refreshing. There truly is not enough banger soup and sandwich cafes like this in the world. So glad this place exists and so glad I stopped here. Will have to make it a regular thing now when I’m in town!

This is a classic lunch stop in Kelowna. Crystal and her team are fantastic. She remembers my name and I go months without seeing her. They have alternating soups of the day. They also offer soup flights. She usually serves 4 types of soup and a sandwich feature and a lunch special. I love the veggie sandwich. She also has a lot of options for dietary restrictions and many gluten free options. It’s a nice warm place to feel important and have the most delicious lunch. Be sure to try her classic hobo soup. You can also purchase large format soups to go that are frozen to be enjoyed at home. Great value and comfort food!

We stopped in on our way through Kelowna - Little Hobo is an absolute joy! Everything is homemade and delicious, we did a burger with fries and sandwich with soup combo - servings are generous!! Super lovely people, Crystal the owner was very welcoming :) We also purchased some of their frozen soups, 3 for $33 and are very excited to take home. Many good choices for hot and cold sandwiches, it was hard to choose and everything was wonderful. We will be back again!

Amazing great food. We were looking for something a little different and found this place on Yelp. The owner is so awesome- took our order and recommended the Tuesday perogy. This certainly isn't the Seinfeld soup nazi Crystal took her time to answer our questions and remembered our names. She and her husband own the place and it shows. Watch the hours- they open for lunch.

As a cook/foodie and a former restaurant owner myself, I have high standards and I rarely leave glowing online reviews. But Crystal and Steve (and their crew) have been feeding me (and my crew) since I move here in 2012. I have recommended Little Hobo to hundreds of people -- including you! I have never had anything less than a 9.8/10 come from this kitchen. They know home cooking and soul food!! Lively ambience, Loving hearts, and fun personalities combine with fresh ingredients, skilled techniques, and layers of flavor to make each experience a true joy. "Long Live Little Hobo!"

Came here with the family to have lunch with a colleague. We came at noon on a Tuesday and by 1230p it starts to get busy. They close at 2pm so only open for a few hours on the morning and lunch time. Food was really good. My daughter has the bacon cheese burgerwith Caesar salad and she said it was excellent. My son had the grilled cheese. They have a promotion where kids get a free small soup. We chose the vegetable soup for him. My wife had the medium chili. That was tasty and great portion. I had the BLT with Caesar salad - yummy. Staff were all so friendly. Came around multiple times to fill our waters and see how we were doing. At the end of the meal they even gave my son a bag of cookies. They really go out of their way to show their appreciation that we were there. Will definitely go back.

I would say this is the best restaurant for some really delicious comfort food. They also have very nice specials on certain days like perogies. I highly recommend this place, with tastiest food in town. Crystal and her husband are a delight to be served by! :-)

Homey mom & pop store that serves hearty wholesome food. I highly recommend Little Hobo! Go out and support this local gem & get a filling meal! I ordered their MENONITE PLATTER (full size $14.30 bc I was a hungry girl) and a SIDE MULLIGATAWNY SOUP. The generous helping of cabbage casserole, 1 deep fried pierogi & farmer's market sausage. The soup tasted like a curry with lots of juicy chicken chunks ! My friend the HOUSE MADE VEGGIE BUGER. It's her favourite thing to order since the yam-based patty is unique, flavourful and isn't dry at all! Although their food left us stuffed & happy. It was first their service that made me smile! The cashier, who was the chef's wife, was so sweet and got the chef to say hi since it was my first time there. Their kitchen was open and right behind the counter! Also, they have a refrigerator section with pre-packed soups & other goodies if you want a stash of this yummy food!

A real gem of Kelowna. The food here is unreal and the staff are incredibly friendly. The owners are so nice, and this is definitely the place to be for a great sandwich and soup! I will be returning soon.

As Crystal, her husband and staff meticulously fulfill orders in their newly renovated kitchen. Their feel good soups are also available to purchase at many locations throughout Kelowna in the freezer section. I always buy this to drop off to a friend in need.

Another 5-star rating for this restaurant. My husband and I sought out this restaurant based on its favorable reviews and we weren't disappointed! It was the perfect day for soup as it was unseasonably cold and rainy in Kelowna! My husband ordered one of the daily specials -- a pulled pork sandwich with apple coleslaw and homemade BBQ sauce on a roll -- accompanied by a cup of freshly made creamy asparagus soup. I went with a big bowl of the delicious hobo soup, a hearty mixture of ground beef, cabbage, carrots, and celery, accompanied by a biscuit. (I've had a version of this soup elsewhere, where it was referred to as "unstuffed cabbage roll soup"). The food was fresh and delicious, and portions were hearty for hungry diners. Staff were all friendly and attentive, even with a full restaurant.

Incredible, Crystal makes you feel like family she asks your name and she remembers it , Tuesdays special was progy and sausage topped off with a bowl of borche soup was wonderful too also we had beef and cheddar with onion, grilled very delicious with real roast beef not ( processed) all in all 5 star enjoy

You place your order at the counter and it is brought to you. The service here was above and beyond our expectations. We shared a bacon cheeseburger with a drink for lunch. When we ordered at the counter my husband ordered a barbecue bacon cheeseburger. I told him that he had ordered incorrectly because I do not like barbecue sauce on my hamburger. My husband was asked if he would like to have barbecue sauce on the side for his half. How kind. We found a table outside on the patio and our order was brought out along with a jug of water. Someone came outside and started opening up the umbrellas at the table so customers could sit in the shade. The order was split in the kitchen for us and we were given 2 plates. The hamburger was delicious and the fries were some of the best that I've had. They were nicely seasoned, served hot and were crispy on the outside but nice and soft inside.

THE worst food I've ever had. Hobo soup had NO taste/watered down and fulllll of celery. Turkey sandwich was so bad.. again, no taste, even extra cranberry didn't help ! plus I pulled out a big glob of fat from one side of my sandwich and a 1.5" piece of CARTLIDGE from the other‼ DO NOT RECOMMEND AND DEFINITELY WILL NOT BE BACK‼Worse 20 bucks I ever spent!

Great place! Service was great! Everyone checked in with us to see how we were doing. Food tasted great as well. One of the best meatball sandwiches I've had. Butter chicken soup was also very tasty. Love the mom and pop atmosphere.

Great little lunch spot with a good size menu and plenty of specials. The staff was happy to change our orders to personalize our sandwiches without batting an eye. Love to come back to places like this small business with such friendly staff! Say hi to Crystal for us!

Food/Bev: 49/50 Wow. I'm a bit disappointed in myself for not finding this place sooner. Food was an exact replica of a 10/10 home cooked meal. Fresh fresh fresh! I can't wait to come back for another visit! This will be my new breakfast spot in Kelowna!!! Service: 30/30 From the lady at the counter to Ruth, our server, we were treated like family. They made a point of remembering our names, constant coffee refills, friendly, genuine smiles. Wows all around! They really care about what they're doing: good, wholesome, quality food served with love. Awesome! Environment/Cleanliness: 13/20 It's called the little hobo for a reason I guess. Don't get me wrong, this place isn't dirty. But I would say it could use some TLC from the ripped up tables and booths to the duct tape mats on the ground. I would love to see this place match the environment with the quality of everything else. 92/100

Great value breakfast and lunch with the best service. The hobo breakfast is not for the faint of heart as it is a lot of food - and tasty. The pancake combo is also fantastic. I wish the service you get here is what you get everywhere else, these guys are the best.

This restaurant is great!!! My husband and I had lunch there two days ago and we can't wait to go back.. He had the ridiculous burger... the best he has ever had!! I had the veggie burger... so good.. The staff was so friendly and the manager came out to the patio to meet us and see how everything was... thank you !!! We will be back this week!

Homemade scratch cooking at its finest! Re-located from Toronto and this was the first place we hit up (remembered it from a year ago). Definitely worth trying if you like good food and INCREDIBLE service. Diner style with soup, sandwiches and brunch/ brunch options. There will be a line at lunch but it's worth the wait.

Best place to go to for some warm homey food! Almost everything is made in house and the food is absolutely delicious! Staff there are amazing and really try to make the experience a personal one for you whenever they have time and arent too busy! Would recommend you try the perogies which are the Tuesday special!

Crystal & Henry are absolutely wonderful and the food is always always amazing! I LOVE Crystal's soups! Also, Nadia, or Nadine (can't quite remember sorry) she is so incredibly sweet. I look forward to going to the little Hobo because all the staff are so lovely and they remember my name!

Wow! Unbelievably delicious fried egg sandwich and no shortage of ingredients on it either. This restaurant is our new favourite place and we're looking forward to trying out some of the choices other reviewers have suggested.

Great friendly service every time! Amazing home cooked goodness in every dish :) They are sooo good with kids and the daily changing specials are sure to be delicious! Love them for lunch and brunch.

We came just before the lunch rush. The service was really friendly and helpful. The food is pretty standard stuff but it's really good. Tastes fresh and cooked well.

My wife and I just returned from having a delicious Eggs Benny each, we walked in the door where we were greet by the owner, Crystal who asked us our names and we exchanged pleasantries. The server was Dee who was a sweetheart. We were made to feel we were the only ones there, this is one place a return visit is in order! Amazing service, amazing food! My favorite spot in kelowna so far!! Had the clubhouse sub and cheesy brocoli soup. Everything was fresh and delicious. Highly reccomend!

There was a line out the door(that moved very fast) and the cashier still took the time to ask where we were from and get to know us for a bit. The love and pride that is poured into this place is evident and contagious. The outdoor seating is perfect. I got the Reuben and my companion got the meatloaf and both were delicious! Can't recommend it enough.

i had breakfast and lunch a few times while in the area. this place felt like home. great service, comfort food, the hobo soup and biscuit were fantastic. the owners were really friendly, which made the experience much more special.

Food is amazing. I went in and asked (shamefully) one day for the healthiest thing they have on their menu. She was sweet and point blank told me they don't go for healthy... they go for homemade good taste. I totally respect these folks for doing an amazing job! And the first time I'd ever liked borscht. Mmmm.
