Thanksgiving dinner was beyond expectations! Turkey was moist, flavorful and cooked to perfection. Sides included mashed potatoes, garlic green beans, yams, cornbread stuffing, garden salad and fresh baked rolls. Quality and quantity of the food was impressive. Chef and staff made our Thanksgiving meal one to remember. . . We are grateful.

On a 25-day vacation here and nothing topped Little Mark’s Big BBQ. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth good, ribs had the perfect bark, and every side dish hit the spot. You can tell it’s run by people who love what they do — from the smoke to the service. This isn’t just BBQ, it’s passion on a plate. A must-visit if you’re anywhere nearby! FYI prolly the best wings I’ve ever had.

Now this is REAL BBQ. Easily one of the best places to get BBQ in the North East. Food was delicious and sides were flavorful. You can tell that the Chef & kitchen staff really care about their food. Highly recommend the Carolina Pulled Pork Platter & the Tumbleweed appetizer. FOH Staff is great! Our waitress was constantly checking in on us and making sure our drinks were filled. You will fill up but lucky for you their milkshake bar had a to go option!

I was excited to try their new spot as I was a fan of their (smaller) old location. I also had several large backyard events catered by them pre-covid and it was always a hit. We came in on Sunday afternoon of Labor Day weekend. Nice crowd for the time of day and we had excellent service with the bartender helping out. Had tumbleweed and Korean bbq rib appys abd loved them both! The ribs were amazing just wish we got more than 4. Onion strings were generous and yummy. We shared a full rack of baby back ribs abd the portion was generous, with a Smokey flavor. They could have been served hotter and been a tad more tender but still an excellent rack of ribs. The corn bread was fresh and slaw and fries on par as well. Glad we stopped in and we will definitely be back to try brisket, burnt ends and more!

Came here on a whim after shopping. Both the exterior and interior are nice. There is a country vibe. The staff at reception and in dining were very friendly. TVs surround the large bar and table seating area. We ordered a few cocktails. The lemonade and the garden mule. They were herbal essences and refreshing. Had a few appetizers, the chimichurri tiger shrimp, and the burnt ends. Both were very good. The shrimp was huge! The burnt ends were tender and flavorful. Broccoli salad was very good and very filling. It had a nice citrus type of dressing on it. It was a large salad and I took about half home. I am glad to have tried Little Mark’s and will be sure to stop in again.

Service was great. The server was very attentive. The restaurant was clean and appeared very up to date. The nachos were TO DIE FOR!! I would drive there again just for that! The ribs were unfortunately not “fall off the bone” but had good flavor. The brisket was also lacking in tenderness.

Wow, oh wow! These guys are back and even better than before! If you were a former patron, you definitely need to go back. If you've never been, I can easily say that this is the best BBQ in the region. I went with my son on day two of the reopening after a many year hiatus (we missed you dearly). It was a great experience! The front of the house staff are super well organized, with a very pleasant demeanor and perfect timing. If I hadn't of known this was the day after their grand opening, I would swear these folks had been working together for years. One of the best opening week performances I've seen in a very long time. I honestly went being a bit skeptical having experienced the hype of Rocking Horse when they opened up, but being very disappointed as there was pretty much zero presence of the proteins ever spending time in the smoker. Not so here at Little Mark's! The items we ordered had that trip down memory lane smokiness that told you you are home. Damn, it is so good to taste and smell again! Lea promptly and pleasantly greeted us and took our order of the sweet and spicy Cajun chicken wings, a bowl of the chili, an order of the fried pickles and a half rack of the baby back ribs that had a huge side salad with a tasty balsamic vinaigrette dressing. While we waited, we looked at the decor, which is pretty similar to the last restaurant that was there. It's nice enough that it didn't need changing. The seats and tables were replaced (yay for no wobbly tables)! The place was quickly filling up (we got there around 4:20), but the staff were keeping pace. Our food came out in a very reasonable time and there was plenty of it! I'm so happy that a lot of the items from the old place were the same if not better. The food was hot and the ingredients are definitely fresh, especially the salad. The flavor is off the chart great and you definitely feel like you're at a proper smokehouse down south with the presentation. The only thing that wasn't super great, and it's definitely a nit pick, is the corn bread was a bit dry and there was no butter or sauce to counter the dryness. It's honestly a minor thing in the grand scheme of things. We left feeling super pleased and thankful that we finally have a great place to get fantastic BBQ without having to drive up to MA. Thank you guys for coming back and giving us an amazing dining experience!! ❤️ P S. Apologies for pictures with the trays not full. We couldn't wait and dug in before I remembered to take pictures. 😁

Google
I give them a 10/10! Waitresses were super friendly and helpful, wait time was not too long, and the food was tasty! I got pulled pork and hubby got brisket... Both were full of flavor.😋 Also love how they serve their french fries in mini deep-fryer baskets.👌

Yelp
This place checks off all the boxes between the food atmosphere and the service. I came in on a Friday and sat at the bar. Order the brisket, my side was the ric, I had some laughs with the locals at the bar and then when it arrived ......... let me just say I ate. . . Seriously, i ate the whole thing . BTW it was a very large portion. . It was amazingly tender and delicious. apparently, the owner has been on the food network for a bunch of things as a contestant and for good reason. His food is good! I also made a few single serve actuation Ance m

Yelp
Little Mark's missed the mark for us. We love BBQ but this didn't hit the way we hoped. Apps only. - jalapeño bacon tater balls. Delicious - but you get 3 total for $13. They were slightly larger than a golf ball. Served over a massive unnecessary bed of arugula. 6 of them would've met the mark. - Burnt ends - those were NOT burnt ends. They described them as "'meat candy" on their menu. Any burnt end I've had or made is melt in your mouth, fatty and delicious. These were large cubes over overcooked, lukewarm, dry pork. You could not cut through them with a fork which says it all. And you got 7 total small cubes - for $15. - wings were pretty good. We got the LMs sauce. Good flavor, decent meatiness. You pay $2/wing though ... $12 for 6 wings - kids meal tenders and fries - fries were great. Tenders okay. Service was decent and atmosphere nice but tables wayyyyyy too crowded. Booths looked comfortable but there should be 1-2 less tables so you're not bumping chairs and sitting on top of the stranger next to you. Unfortunately wouldn't return - which stinks.

Yelp
Great entrees, bad appetizers Little marks is our stop for a quick casual bite around Vernon. Enjoy the smoked meats, sides are okay, but the quality is usually really good. My review this time is highlighting my biggest gripe. We got a half-rack of ribs, Santa Fe egg rolls, and a meatloaf sandwich. For 16 bucks, we get two egg rolls put on a giant plate with arugula put on the bottom to try and disguise the shame. This isn't the first time we've had issues with the portion size of an appetizer at this location either. I know appetizers are not entrees, I know that some things take more time to craft and prepare. If the portion is going to be small and expensive, use smaller plates, make sure the flavor is strong, and make them thick. Even if they gave us 3 and put them in a fry basket would've been a better showing than an awkward attempt of an egg roll salad In contrast, for 18 bucks I get this beautifully smoked meatloaf sandwich with a slew of caramelized onions and a perfectly placed breaded mozzarella to give that epic cheese pull. Along with sweet potato fries and Cole slaw and a pickle. We complained about the egg rolls and got them removed from the bill, so my review score doesn't reflect them. The entrees are stellar, the sides are afterthoughts, and the price is appropriate for the quality. They need better attention to detail on their sides to make them that truly epic bbq spot, and if they do that they can be one of the greats. But I'm using this review to hopefully pass on some knowledge to those planning to swing by. Stick to the entrees and you'll have a great experience. Stray from the mains, and your experience can vary.

Yelp
Went there with my wife and family yeah I'm really had a great time thanks to our server, Hillary, and the food is really good, as well as the cold beer!! Only downside for me personally was the acoustics made the place extremely loud. Can't wait to come back again !

Yelp
I'm guilty of being slow to try the new Little Mark's BBQ on Kelly Rd. In Vernon. I was a fan of the old one and George catered some large backyard parties I had - always did a wonderful job. The new spot is awesome! Bright, clean, modern, lots of TV's and 2 bars; big & little. Our service was excellent on Sunday at around 2:00 and they had a decent crowd. I especially liked their tumbleweeds and special Korean BBQ ribs appy. We had the Baby Back ribs and with a heavy smoked flavor and generous portion we were more than happy! Really nice place and seems well run and good food. I see a bright future!

Yelp
I am rating this a 4 stars with the caveat that this will be a 4 star once the training wheels are off. Our experience tonight was a 3 - however very easy fixes and understood complications with a restaurant only being open 3 days and its first Friday night service. First off the food. Delicious. We order the tumbleweeds and wings for an app. Wings - Best in the area - by far!!! Smokey and juicy!! The tumbleweeds were slightly less than, they were overpacked in the fryer leaving an undercooked and soggy texture to about half - easy fix. We ordered the sampler bbq platter - Ribs, sausage, and pulled pork. I really appreciated the Smokey flavor - you actually taste that these meats were on the grill being smoked and charred. We felt none of the meats needed the additional sauce and honestly the sauces aren't the best - did not do the meats any 'flavor'. lol. The staff was super friendly however our section was sat inefficiently for the waiter and she had a hard time keeping up. We were sat in the extra seating space by the bathrooms - farthest from the kitchen and bar. The extra space was noticeable in the amount of time between waitress sightings in our area. With that said - super friendly and hospitable waitress - she did 5 stars for what she was given. I am excited to see what this place can do in the next couple of months. Definitely worth the visit - but reminder they just opened. So be kind and respect the process. I would rather wait and the food be delicious.

Yelp
Great Food! Great Staff, awesome chef never a worry when you come down too Little Marks BBQ & Grill. Our experiences have been incredible every time. Thanks, Chef George, for the great food you brought to the area. The whole area appreciated your comeback!!!!

Yelp
We stopped in on our way from Portland, ME back to MD. The food was pretty good. The steak was cooked well but needed some more seasoning. The dirty rice lacked flavor. The catfish was excellent, seasoned and cooked very well. Service was a bit slow and we had to ask for a refill on drinks even though the place wasn't very busy. Also had to ask for a box and our check. They have lots of tables/seating and a bar.

Yelp
Loved this place! They fixed it up and turned it into a great little barbecue spot! We split a southwest wrap that was full of avocado, grilled chicken, and a great dressing g. We asked them to leave dirty rice out. It was delicious and plenty for two. We had a side of Cajun fries . My stepmom got the brisket grilled cheese. It was on a brioche roll and came with onion straws. She is taking 1/2 home. We will be back!

Yelp
I got here around 5 pm and got a table quickly. My order came out super speedy. I got the blackened catfish - what tremendous flavor. The spices were a bit heavier than usual. I cooled myself off with my iced tea. Next time I may request lighter on the blackened seasonings. As usual, the crowd seemed happy. The crew is very attentive.

Yelp
Stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. We were seated right away in a booth near the bar. Plenty of space for 4 people to sit comfortably. We ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer, pickles were alright, I would not order again just because they weren't very crispy and were very soggy/chewy. For a meal, I got the chicken and a side of mac and cheese, chicken was cheesy and creamy, and not dry at all, cornbread was a little dry but overall good. My fiancé tried the brisket and he was very pleased. Hopefully this place sticks around for BBQ!

Yelp
We used to always go to Little Mark's BBQ and get catering from them back at their old location. We thought the old place was run down and falling apart, so we were not surprised that it closed down. Fast forward I don't know how many years when we saw them open a new restaurant, we were so excited to try it! The restaurant looks great- modern, nicely decorated and open. The menu has a lot of options- sandwiches, entrees, various apps, and lots of cocktails. Service was great. We started with tumbleweeds, all ordered the half rack of ribs with different sides to try (garlic green beans, baked beans and dirty rice). For my ribs, both my husband and I ordered the hot bbq sauce while my mother-in-law had the sweet bbq sauce. I love the spice level but it was a bit too spicy for my husband so just be careful if you are sensitive to spicy foods. There is always hot bbq sauce on the table if you want to control the heat level. Definitely tasted like what we remembered years ago. We will definitely be back the next time we crave BBQ.

Yelp
Original recipes, Original owner, and the same great food! Started with the Burnt Ends, of course, with their sweet BBQ sauce....Memory lane material!!! Had the catfish entree, blackened, two filet portion and very yummy; the jalepeneo tartar sauce added an extra kick! Wife had the Cesar salad with chicken. Very good sized salad and the cornbread croutons were a nice touch! Overall, great service and food and ambiance!! Welcome back Lil Mark!!!

Ian M.

Yelp
Great brisket, great wings and their sauces are awesome. Best BBQ in the area. Can't wait to go back. Ian

Yelp
I got the brisket platter, wife got the pulled pork sandwich. Both were okay. Prices were average. BBQ sauce was unremarkable. Lots of good beer on tap. Wait staff was nice. Would I go back? Mmm... maybe.

Yelp
I liked the old Little Marks. Towards the end it got a little shaky, but I didnt want the place to shut down. So I thought it was great when they opened a new place in the location of the worst Italian place in town. The ribs were better than they were before! The new place looks great! Excellent crew was on hand to hook us up, but I bet the place gets noisy on the weekend! We hit it early in the midweek, not too busy, and things went great. Welcome back Little Marks, I look forward to going back.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our take out experience! We ordered online, and it was quick, the pulled pork was very good and so were the sides. My husband liked the brisket but it was probably our least favorite thing that we ordered. The Mac n cheese and corn bread were great! They even do drinks to go which is pretty cool. Looking forward to coming in to eat as well!

Jim C.

Yelp
Excellent service, Heather was awesome! Very nice, thorough. Everything you want for greatness! The food was very good. We (3) had wings, fried pickles and burnt ends. Wings were spicy for my son so I had to finish. Delicious. The burnt ends were very good. My wife liked the fried pickles. Dinner my son had a burger and loved it. My wife had a really good chicken sandwich. I had the catfish and chips. Huge pieces of catfish and I love me some catfish. Fries with all 3 were perfect. On the way out I hit the candy bowl and grabbed a green apple Jolly Rancher! That's a win in itself.

Lauren B.

Yelp
I've only done takeout so I can't speak to the ambiance or service inside. Food is awesome! Takeout service was speedy. I got ribs, cornbread, Mac n cheese
google avatar

Shannon J.

Yelp
The WORST-barbecue we have ever had. I don't even think I would call it barbecue by any means. My husband got the brisket. It was fatty and mushy. My son got a hamburger which he said was ok. I got the Wrangler which was a steak sandwich. I could not even chew it. We got an order of Burnt Ends. They were so chewy, they were disgusting. STAY AWAY from this place. it's NOT barbecue.
google avatar

William B.

Yelp
Overall a very solid experience. The service was good and the food all tasted well above average. We ordered two kids meals, a burger, Korean sticky ribs, wings, mussels special and a Cesar salad. The prices were very fair and we all left full and happy. Ambiance was great too, very warm and inviting.

seba m.

Yelp
The fries saved the day, but man, The brisket was not good at all. Try anything else but the brisket. I'm sure other items in the menu are good.

Ron K.

Yelp
Service was good...fried onion string app was very good..I had the pulled pork plate..Pork was dry and the barbecue sauce did not do it for me..My wife had the ribs...tasty but dry again..Had 2 draft beers..a Stella and a a Mic Ultra...Both were flat..We won't be back..

Yelp
Had take out. Bbq nachos with pulled pork. So good! Also the south west egg rolls. Very good but wish there was 1 more in the serving. We will be trying again !

Yelp
Like many locals, we were excited about the return of LMB to the space recently renovated by 346 Bistro/Frankie B's both of which flamed out quickly. Judging from wait last Saturday LMB will likely be around for awhile but still needs to up its game. The interior with lots of stone and hard wood is incredibly loud. The lobby and large lobby bar is wasted space...45 minute wait in front of a bar that isn't stocked to serve drinks? Why not? Pro tip: the space to the right of the entrance is Siberia. You might as well be eating at the adjacent hotel The drink menu had some winners but the food and service (while friendly) was rocky. Fatty burnt ends for 15 bucks and tumbleweed basket for 12 was too much for not enough. But most disappointing were the proteins. BBQ chicken and Carolina pork were dry and didn't have much bbq or vinegar taste. Brisket looked like a cheap restaurant pot roast but was quite good. Cole slaw and corn bread were good but mashed potatoes salty and Mac n cheese wet... Come on LMB you can do better. I can say much more when the best things we ate were side dishes

Kathleen R.

Yelp
When we first arrived, the smell outside the restaurant made us excited for the upcoming meal. Little did we know the disappoint that was about to ensue. First, The venue is loud. And I mean you can't even hear yourself or others at the table loud. We were a Table of 6 and were only given 4 rolls of silverware. While getting sat in the booth she immediately asked what we wanted to drink and we had to ask her to wait till our other member was back from the restroom. The waitress never greeted us or introduced herself and her name. The menu has no soft drinks listed. We were only given the alcohol menu and had to ask what they had available and was given a brisk answer. The waitress seemed like she couldn't be bothered. We then realized we were never given a children's menu and a member of our party had to go to the front and ask. We put in our order of two appetizers. The Tumbleweeds were good with a nice spicy dip. The corn bread was served cold and with no butter. In my opinion, this is something that should be served warm with butter on the side. Next we were able to put main meals in. The waitress clearly either didn't know the menu or just couldn't hear us because it was so loud but we had to repeat ourselves constantly. She kept saying "huh?" When our meal was delivered, we were missing two of the tables sides along with an entire meal. After consulting the kitchen, the meal was never put into the system by our waitress. Tell me why it was the runner who brings out the food that profusely apologized for the issue?! Shout out to the runner, he made sure the order was put in and offered some extra corn bread. The waitress never said ANYTHING! And for the rest of the meal she could barely look anyone at the table in the eyes. By this point, the missing meal was brought out about 10 minutes later. The entire table was extremely over-stimulated from the environment and we pretty much got all our meals boxed up and left. Overall, it was so extremely disappointing. A member of our party had been a week prior and mentioned to us even at lunch the venue is just as loud. Proceed with caution.

Yelp
We can't rave enough about what an amazing experience we had. I swear we tried a little of everything on the menu-- and left stuffed to the brim to prove it our waitress Halei was so sweet, checked on us plenty and made sure everything was perfect, and was so on top of whatever we needed. The food runner was amazing as well and made sure everything was accurate and cleared as quickly as possible. The new building was gorgeous and spacious, seating was super comfortable, and tables were thoughtfully placed to leave plenty of room for each family to have their own space. The food was all phenomenal! Even our pickiest eater had plenty to chow down on, and if somehow you happen to have space for dessert at the end, the bread pudding was absolutely perfectly executed. We will DEFINITELY be coming back, and recommending Little Mark's to all of our friends and family. We hope they never close again!!

Locust Hill V.

Yelp
Service was top notch and food was delicious. Next time we travel this way we will be back.

Yelp
Food was amazing, the hot bbq was definitely kickin. Everything was of great quality and enjoyed it. Best bbq in a long time.

Yelp
Absolutely grear food and service. The only problem we had was a coulole complaining they could not be sat right away. They expected to be sat in a booth that fits 6 for just the 2 of them. If people would just learn how restaurants work all would be good

Maggie W.

Yelp
Right next to our hotel. So good, we ate there two nights in a row. Garlic green beans were so good that I sent a photo to my dad, who is a caterer, suggesting he start making them. My husband was super pleased with the bourbon choices and prices (we are from California, where, yes, almost everything is higher priced). Good side choices for a vegetarian like me (probably harder for a vegan). Excellent service. Eric and Heather were awesome. One of our favorite restaurants on our 2-week jaunt through New England.

Beth T.

Yelp
Great food , awesome atmosphere and great service! bbq is best around !! Side and drinks were great, to much food , and no room for dessert !!

Karenlee F.

Yelp
So glad they're back! Food is great, bigger and better menu. Hostess, Ryan, hustled to get us seated as promised, and waitress, Hillary, was awesome! Great atmosphere, and all the staff were friendly. Highly recommend!

Joyce H.

Yelp
We remember the "old Marks butt kicking restaurant " we stopped in at the new location. We were not disappointed in the quality and portions of our food. Our group of four chose from a variety of dishes from ribs and sausage to a pulled pork sandwich. Everyone loved what they had ordered. Friendly staff and a great waitress (Jillian) made our dining experience five star.

B K.

Yelp
Went there tonight to try it. Even though there were empty booths we could not be seated because there were only 2 of us. The booths stayed empty in case a party of 5 came in. Spoke to the "manager" about it said that was the policy. So we get penalized because we didn't have a big enough party. I never heard of such a thing. Greed for a bigger check? Forget the 2 people? What is going on?
