Abby and Ava killed it! We were apart of the wedding crew that came on Friday night. Thankfully myself and my family showed up early. There was a mix up in communication on when the gathering was taking place. We had a party of about 40 give or take with kids. They worked great as a team. There was one other gal helping but I didn’t catch her name! They handled the busy night amazingly. They worked hard, still communicated and were attentive! Not just to our big group but to the other guests as well on the patio. We were upstairs. Very clean and organized. Food was good. At our table we had an order of friend pickles and potstickers. Mac & cheese and corn dogs. A few cheeseburgers. An order of nachos. Beers of course. All the food was great. The only thing I wish was different was they served easy Mac mac&cheese instead of shell or homemade. The fried picks were really good and different from what we’ve had before. I personally had the nachos. Was really good. But again the crew on staff that night are rockstars. Thank you guys!! I had a few beers and spaced getting more photos of the food!! Sorry!

This review could’ve been a 5 star but the service was literally the worst I’d ever had. We stopped into Little Missouri for dinner on a Wednesday evening at 8pm. They were starting to gear down for the evening so I asked if it was okay to still eat. The waitress affirmed but said we needed to be seated outside, which was okay but not ideal. It was a cool fall evening so again, not great. We ordered chicken wings and two buffalo burgers. Our food arrived promptly and was quite good; a solid 4/5 on the food. Our Bison burgers were perfectly cooked and flavorful, 5/5 The appetizer was pretty good but a tad overcooked, no biggie. The interesting thing is this: I was pretty adamant in saying/asking it was no big deal to go elsewhere if they were trying to close, she said no problem. Our waitress took our order and then never again returned to our table; she never asked about our food, we had to refill our own beverages - it was honestly the most negligent service I’ve ever had. I’ve never been intentionally ignored for the entirety of the dinner. 1/5 for service. In this day and age, it really takes bad service to get less than 20% from me; I’m usually a 20% to 35% tipper. I couldn’t believe how terrible she was. The food here was great but I’d make sure to never sit in her section again. Overall I’d give it a 2/5 considering that first impression.

After a long day of driving, we stopped here for a well-deserved meal. We shared the crispy Country Fried Steak, perfectly paired with a rich gravy, and the juicy Swiss Burger. Both dishes hit the spot. The friendly and attentive staff made our dining experience even more enjoyable. The cozy atmosphere provided a much-needed respite after a long day on the road.

Looking for a good burger and outdoor seating with good views? This is your place! It was a warm evening but we sat outside on their upper patio and we were in the shade with a nice breeze. Ava was our server and she was working hard…and doing a great job. We both had cheeseburgers (cooked perfectly and the bun was delicious). Hubby got fries and I got onion rings and they were cooked just like we like them. They also have a full bar - I tried the Huckleberry Mule - perfect for a hot day!

Google
The food was really good. We started with the Steak and Cheese bites. The steak was well seasoned and the cheese curds had a light breading. This came with a ranch and a Chipotle sauce. I then had the prime rib with a baked potato and it had just the right char and was cooked perfectly. My mom had the cheeseburger but asked for only lettuce and onion and was also given tomato. The toppings are extra so that was a concern. She also requested onion rings and got fries instead, which he took off the bill. They were about to start some live music when we left and have a nice liquor selection and a blackjack table in the corner. I would go back if I was staying in town longer.

A cute place to grab a drink and food. We ordered the pulled pork flatbread, walleye sandwich and mushroom swiss burger - all of which were good! There are a lot of flies since the place has open doors and windows so we had to constantly shoo the flies off of the food, which was a bit annoying. The service set up in the saloon was a bit odd as we walked in and stood around the tables for a while trying to figure out if we can just sit ourselves or do we order at the bar. It looked like there were some people eating at the tables but we didn’t see anyone serving them. The female employee at the bar did not make eye contact or give/sign directions, but we saw people sitting at the bar and getting service, so we just went and sat there. We were asked what we wanted for a drink and when I asked for a menu I was told there is only a food menu and a full bar. So I just ordered food since it didn’t seem like the bartender lady would talk and come up with a drink that I may like. My husband knew what he wanted and his drink was good. Later on, a second bar tender came back to the bar (after finishing filling the ice at the bar) and he seemed more talkative and engaged with the customers which was good to see. He was also greeting the people who were coming in to see if they wanted to get food or just drinks and where they wanted to sit.

Google
Very busy place with fabulous food and great service. You will wait a little longer than you may be accustomed but it's worth it! Recommend the pesto fry bread appetizer and Chicken Fried Steak.

Google
This place has no pretensions. It knows it's a tourist trap and does not apologize for that. The food was good and came out quick. The drinks were cold and we're also served in excellent time. The view of the street from where we sat was the biggest draw. We were given the tabled in the corner that overlooks both streets and it was a lot of fun watching everything that went on.

Yelp
Had an awesome time visiting and drinking at the Saloon! We were immediately greeted by the lovely bartender Whitney when we arrived. She served us some awesome beers from their great selection of taps. The bars crowd was very friendly with a nice mix if locals and visitors to the area. We had such a nice time on our first visit we decided to come back to see Whitney again and have dinner on out second day in town. We both had Bison burgers which were really delicious. I would definitely recommend visiting this fun saloon, and if you happen to visit on one of Whitney's shifts you are in for a treat!

Yelp
Great Dining and Libations in Medora. A fun place with decent food and staff is very cordial and accommodating

Yelp
The bartender/server was truly a sight to behold. Happy, friendly, fast, he was practically dancing. Even though it was very busy we got our food and drinks promptly!! Turkey sammich was so good!! Loved the cranberry bread!! Hubby got the fish sammich and he enjoyed it as well.

Yelp
Mary and I stopped in this afternoon for a cold beverage. It took twenty minutes for someone to come to our table; surely attitude was not needed. Will never go back.

Yelp
Love the town of Medora! The Little Missouri Saloon has plenty of dining options: downstairs inside, upstairs inside and the outdoor porch overlooking the town. We were lucky enough to get one of the outdoor tables. Service was good! Food was good as well! We ordered 3 appetizers and had plenty of leftovers! Prices were reasonable as well.

Yelp
This was our favorite meal in Medora. Started with the chips, guac and salsa - chips were homemade, but some were chewy versus crunchy - could've used more time in the fryer. Guac was great though! I had the turkey avocado sandwich on cranberry wild rice bread, and potato salad - this sandwich was absolutely divine. Basic sandwich, but the bread set it apart. Omg, it was soooo good! Very large sandwich though. Could only eat half but took my leftovers back to the RV. The potato salad was excellent, and super creamy. I was so happy with my choice! Hubs had the deep fried walleye - he said this was delicious! Perfectly crispy outside - flaky and moist inside. Great service; very very friendly. Cool old timey saloon decor inside. I would recommend this place all day long!

Yelp
Just rolled into town and had to get some local eats! Little Missouri was recommended to us by a gal in Dickenson so that's where we headed! First of all, Medora is a super cute western town with a lot of eateries, we definitely picked wisely!! Our server and bartender was the friendliest gal, super sweet greeting and very attentive throughout our stay even though she had the place to herself! She greeted, took orders, served and cleared, all while having a beautiful genuine smile on her face! Service was fast, food came out piping hot and the atmosphere is pure old west! Lot's of eye candy everywhere you look! We had the wontons for an appetizer, super simple and fried perfectly! For lunch I had the BLT Wrap and hubby had the Reuben. Plenty of avocado on the wrap along with nice crispy chopped bacon, just the way I like it on my sandwiches! The Reuben was loaded with thin shaved corned beef, plenty of sauerkraut and just the right amount of dressing! The McDonald's style fries were a huge hit!! Ice cold beer, great service and delicious food, we'll be back and highly recommend!

Yelp
Little Missouri Saloon is one of just a few options in Medora. And it was "OK". Went mid-week in the lull between lunch and dinner. Lunner? Even though it wasn't busy the service was slooow. The food, I honestly don't really remember what we had. I think we had a buffalo burger. It was "OK" and forgettable - obviously. Best part of the visit may have been the wild west feel the saloon had. Decent on tap beer menu.

Yelp
We almost didn't eat here but walked by and liked the terrace seating they had so decided to eat here. Had a burger and potstickers - which turned out to be really good, wrapping looked hard but turned out to be crispy and not at all greasy as they usually tend to be. It's an app but there are ten pieces so quite enough for a light meal. Only thing is they will charge you a 2% fee if you use a credit card - only place on this trip and fist time in the US encountering this. The bar area downstairs seems to be the more atmospheric place to be as it's a lot busier than the upstairs dining room.

Yelp
Any time I'm in tourist town and the food options are limited, I'm worried that I'm going to get stuck eating a place out of necessity. This place isn't one of those places. Locals and tourists alike have been coming to this spot for decades and when you go there you can see why. Amazing atmosphere! Very western and an awesome way to experience North Dakota. The food is fantastic! I recommend the bison burger and potato salad. Both are top tier! Service is great and welcoming.

Yelp
Stopped in for a couple beers. No tables until nice couple offered a small table by window. No service. Husband tried to order at bar but was ignored. Moved to more central table hoping for service- nope. Finally I sat at bar and husband stood and was able to place a beverage order...though the red ale ran out just before Returned to window table and never was approached by service offering menu. Definitely a no!

Yelp
Sorry I have to give a star to leave a review. This place doesn't deserve any stars. Arrived at about 7:05 pm on Thursday evening. Pretty quiet so walked upstairs and was told we would be seated shortly. We looked around and saw plenty of open tables. We waited same girl walked by us at least 4 times and still didn't offer to seat us so...we went downstairs which also had plenty of open tables. My husband sat down at one while I used the restroom. There was no soap to wash your hands. I wonder what the waitstaff does after using the bathroom??? Came back to find my husband who still hadn't been acknowledged. By this time we decided to leave. As we were walking towards the door the bartender asked us if needed something. NO THANK YOU! We are done with this establishment. Don't know how the food is, couldn't get seated or waited on. We went across the street to Boots Bar and Grill. We were greated as soon as we walked in. Beer is cold and the pizza was delicious.

Yelp
Was passing thorough and spent the night in Medora Ang had dinner at the Saloon. Enjoyed the ambiance and the service was great by Kierston. I had the Little Missouri Steak with baked potato and tomato soup. All was cooked to perfection and tasted great.

Yelp
The whole experience at this restaurant was fabulous. Our server was so nice and the conversation was natural. We had the Fried Pickles appetizer. They are delicious. Instead of slices as with other restaurants it was a spear with cheese then deep fried! Delicious! We split a Bacon Cheeseburger and fries and so glad we did. The beef is fresh, not frozen and a 1/2 pound patty. It was seasoned to perfection and the bacon cooked perfectly, crunchy not soggy. The decor is an old time saloon and has an upstairs also. I definitely will recommend to people visiting Theodore Roosevelt National Park to go to this restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
Ordered fried pickles, local said they were good, but... pickle and pepper jack rolled in a wonton wrapper. Was cream cheese and wonton not fully cooked, so doughy. Ordered the turkey avocado on cranberry wild rice bread... avocado was hard as a rock, about five pieces of processed turkey and wilted lettuce. Whitney, the waitress / bartender, was nice, but abrupt. One and done.

Yelp
Beautiful views and great food! The walleye sandwich was fantastic. My only complaint is they were very stingy with the aioli; don't be afraid to smother it on! But the walleye was so good I didn't even mind a dry bun.
google avatar

Olivia K.

Yelp
Love the Little Mo! The restaurant upstairs is family-friendly, and the balcony is beautiful. My favorite thing to order is the margherita pizza with gluten free crust. Definitely recommend

Yelp
Outdoor seating is a plus. Had the mushroom Swiss burger. Really tasty. Busy night and the wait staff was super good.

Yelp
again.from first taxi.its easy to leave a good review on little missouri saloon i had a great time over the past weekend .again great service great music keep up the great work

Benjamin G.

Yelp
First off the wait was long. Second off the BLT was mediocre. Third off there's gambling, bugs and also there's no door for the toilet stall and I felt more comfortable in my middle school bathroom and I got my backpack stolen there so basically like my last review but they couldn't redeem themselves for the bugs and gambling and btw my brother was not laughing a single time inside here.

Jamey W.

Yelp
I live in the Twin Cities and recently ate at Pittsburg Blue. I had a great meal there but this was better and a fraction of the price. I loved every bite. I ordered a medium rare and it was perfect. If you are trying to figure out where to eat in Medora, look no further. This was unexpectedly upscale food for the laid back environment.
google avatar

Yelp
Loved our bartender, he was very attentive and just on the go. Such a busy bee, running like a chicken WITH a head because he sure did know how to multi-task! I loved the shrimp plate, shrimp were very crispy and batter was well seasoned and airy. The shrimp oof they were huge, meaty and kept me full for the rest of the night. Fries were good and who doesn't like local tap beer? Glad I stopped by this place.

John K.

Yelp
When we arrived, the place was packed but, we were able to get a seat right away. Our waiter was also a bartender and I've never seen hustle like that. I'm not sure if that's the norm for a Friday night but, they managed to get our food out in a timely manner. The Bison Ribeye was good. The Walleye was a little plain. All in all, it was a decent place to eat. Just as we were leaving, the live music act was setting up. There were several families, with kids ranging in age, so it's family friendly. Check them out!

Jessella C.

Yelp
The food was incredible, and sitting outside on the deck on such a beautiful night was the perfect way to unwind. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
A great little place to grab some food when staying in Medora or visiting Theodore Roosevelt National Park. We had excellent service and sat outdoors. The evening was already cool for early Sept., but they had heaters outside which made it nice and cozy. I had the fish and chips and substituted fried green beans instead of getting french fries. OMG. Might have been the best thing I ate the entire trip. Those fried green beans came with a spicy ranch sauce and already had some heat to them and were just perfect. Very generous portions and a pretty good variety of pub food fare on the menu.

Yelp
Stopped here before Medora Musical. Was at Boots last year and was a let down. The place was severely understaffed. We waited on the steps about 15 minutes. I ordered turkey sandwich on cranberry wild rice bread with tomatoes and avocado. I subbed out fries for a salad. The avocado seemed under ripe and cut in chunks. A spread would have made more sense or riper avocados thinly sliced. We witnessed other patrons passing this other guy waiting on the steps. I would have been more assertive and obnoxious and say the wait is back here. Props to waitress and food runners who worked their tails off.

Virginia K.

Yelp
Bartender was great, however she made a lousy old fashioned, bartender 101. I make a point of trying fried pickles whenever I can get them. Not bad, but not great either. As for my burger it was okay. The place was cute and the people friendly. I was told it was the better of the two restaurants in town so I went with that.

Sue E.

Yelp
great Service! wow. Somebody got there early and one person reserved a table for 10 friends.... we were stuck around a pole. we were finishing up eating as they were all being seated. NOT the bars fault!. The service rocked. great food.. onion rings are yummy too. Nice drinks. Rum drinkers, so not a great selection. Fun atmosphere.
google avatar

Tee F.

Yelp
I've been dreaming of their fried pickles since I've had them!!! Those are a MUST TRY! As for the entrees... I wish I could say the same. I ordered a patty melt that I was hoping would come dripping with cheese. Instead, it was a very thin patty and VERY dry... so dry, I asked our waitress for mayonnaise to make it a little enjoyable. My friend ordered a buffalo burger that was also overcooked and dry. I wish I would've ate the fried pickles as my meal because that was about the only thing that I really enjoyed.

Rachel V.

Yelp
Nice place to eat in Medora. Don't pass up the steak and cheese bites - so good! Prices were good too.
google avatar

Tyler B.

Yelp
Fried pickles are on point! Not much else to chose from in town during the shoulder season but this place was great and the bartender was awesome and friendly.
google avatar

Just A.

Yelp
We ordered drinks from the bartender and shortly had them, we also ordered steak and curds appetizer. The Steak was hot and juicy; the curds were warm, tasty but honestly a little chewy. They came with a Chipotle Ranch dip that was great on the steak and later, on the fries. We ordered Bison Burger with Onion Rings and Elk Burger with Fries. They were delicious, and overfilling. We took home about half of everything. The servings a very large, the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was pure old west. Vintage pictures, Double barrel shotguns and revolvers for door handles, Dollar bills hanging from the ceiling everywhere. From start to finish this was a great meal and a great experience.
google avatar

Yelp
After a full day in Teddy Roosevelt NP in mid-September we stopped here for a very early dinner. Glad we did because it was jammed by the time we left and I am not sure their staff could handle that volume. Given Covid we were looking for outdoor dining and they had a nice balcony. Since there appeared to be no precautions by the staff relative to the virus it was good to be outside. The waitress was OK but not exactly friendly. The burgers were good especially the mushroom swiss burger, though a bit more medium than medium rare. The onion rings were very good. The potato salad was also solid. The menu did have lots of appealing appetizers but we resisted. Bottom line the food was good but being able to dine outside better. Also arrive early... maybe now that the season is winding down this may not be as big of an issue.

Yelp
Had an excellent steak dinner here in Medora. For a reasonable 20-ish dollars I had a 9 oz. certified Angus steak with garlic toast, a salad, and a choice of potato or vegetable. The best part -- it comes out sizzling on an oven-hot platter so that every bit is hot. I love that! You usually have to pay a lot more for a steak to get that kind of sizzling goodness. The next time I am in Medora, this is first on my list for dinner.
google avatar

Yelp
When I was a kid, I and my cousin threw rocks at a hornet's nest, knocking it off the tree. It really wasn't a good idea, and we regretted it immediately. The experience that followed was longer than I expected, thoroughly unpleasant, and its only redeeming feature was that nobody died. Eating here was a lot like that, but less fun. Two stars for having good beer.
google avatar

Krystal T.

Yelp
Great service, pretty good for bar food but nothing really special. We were here during the slow season so there were not a lot of options in town while visiting Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
google avatar

Ron L.

Yelp
My wife had the maple pecan salmon and I had the walleye. Both were great. Service was good. First beer was not extremely cold, but second one was ice cold

Anita C.

Yelp
I had the bison burger with potato salad as a side, both were excellent. Selection of draft and bottled beers was great. Our waitress, Alex was very knowledgeable about their beers and had great recommendations. Alex got our order right and did a great job especially considering how busy she was. Having outdoor seating is a plus.

Beth L.

Yelp
Been in there twice this weekend! You have some of the hardest working staff I have seen in a long time. Food drinks service all was excellent. Can't wait to be back.

Matt H.

Yelp
Decent tap beer selection. Exceptional service by Alex for the two evenings we were in Medora. She was the reason we went back.
google avatar

Yelp
One of the few restaurants open for a late lunch on a Sunday in Medora. I tried the Buffalo burger because when in Rome, right? I was not a fan of the flavor (a strong aftertaste) but I'm glad I tried something new. Nice ambiance upstairs in the cool ac on a 95 degree summer day. Might come back to try the steaks later.
google avatar

Desiree B.

Yelp
We stopped in for dinner after visiting the national park. It was adequate. We were seated right away, and we sat outdoors on the second-floor deck. The restaurant is divided for the bar or family dining. I got the chicken bacon swiss sandwich. It was average - about what you'd expect for a little bar in the area. I didn't eat many fries. They weren't served hot. It's not exceptional, but it's a fine stop when the options are limited.

Rikki Jo W.

Yelp
Awesome food and great staff! Love the decor. It's so fun to see where all the dollars and hats come from and the age of them!

Yelp
IF I HAD TO DO IT OVER AGAIN. We were ready for a great meal in Medora on our little weekend trip. The server was right there and we saw how well she kept the beer flowing at the tables around us, but the food was stone cold. My husband had an Elk burger and onion rings, I had the chicken fried steak. I told her my meal was cold and she asked what she could do. Really? Like maybe get us some hot food. She pretty much assumed my spouses meal was hot and mine was cold so she discounted mine by 20%, and nothing on his. Of course, I gave her a tip and now I regret doing that. I get everyone is short staffed, but it seemed like the drinking tables got a lot of attention and we were left in the dust.

Alisha M.

Yelp
Tourist trap rip off! Very bland. My boyfriend and I went for dinner after a long day of traveling and exploring the park. We were scheduled for the musical but it was canceled due to weather. This was the only place open for a late dinner. We ordered a large beer and potstickers as an appetizer and then a hamburger steak and the chicken manicotti both with mashed taters. We received our beer then the meal. I asked about the appetizers and she said, "oh you still want then". When I said yes she said she forgot to put in the order. They came out halfway through the meal. Mash potatoes were by far the best. The hamburger steak was good however super greasy and unseasoned. The manicotti was okay but super greasy and unseasoned. The marinara was simply canned tomatoes again unseasoned. The potstickers and the taters were the only winners. Meal cost us $70 and was Definitely not worth that.
google avatar

Rendi G.

Yelp
We stopped for supper before going to the musical. We would have liked to sit outside but there wasn't a table available. It was full and our server, Reagan, was busy but she did a great job on checking in with us and was very friendly. All 3 of us had the salmon which was tasty. Nice atmosphere & service! We'd definitely go back and recommend to others.

Yelp
It was a western cowboish bar... food was ok a little overpriced for what it was but anyhow I felt bad for the only girl working on 2/1/20 she was the waitress, bartender, cashier, busboy, DJ, housekeeper all these jobs for one person is not right. It's called abuse , Man all the jobs she had to do .....I mean you name it SHE DID IT!! plus she was super nice despite all the jobs she was doing. I'm traveling the 50 states and The ambiance is I don't know maybe kind of getto. So don't except to see anything fancy is not. But I do recommend it for once in a lifetime experience. And please hire another girl or give this girl. a EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR!

Yelp
One of two places for dinner open at the end of the season. We chose Little Mo's, Because it was recommended. Andre was on top of everything, not sure if he was the owner or not, but if not he is a keeper! His service was outstanding and he had the whole bar area under control. Pizza and salad were just OK, but it's fun little place.
