Loved the vibe of this place. After studying the menu we decided to get the flaming pu-pu platter. My wife ordered a hurricane. She isn’t much on strong alcohol so it wasn’t for her but the server did try to add some more pineapple juice in it for her! Thought that was so nice. While we waited I washed my hands & the bathroom was very flamboyant. Enjoyed all the foods of the flaming pu-pu. The meat on the beef skewers was so tender! Also loved that coconut shrimp. Wish there were 4 pieces of everything though so you didn’t have to split that 3rd piece. Got the banana split as well and it was so nice! Probably the only way I will willing eat a banana. Loved all the ice cream. Was a nice way to end our meal.

Google
Overall great, food was unique and delicious, and the patio was a great atmosphere. I gave 4 stars because: 1) we had to wait for our server more than we'd like; perhaps she was busy, but there were lengthy gaps, 2) my wife's cocktail was great, but mine was very disappointing. I chose the Moraccan Mama because it sounded bold and flavorful, with spiced rum, apple brandy, chili sauce, and lemon. However, the lemon was wildly overpowering and we could barely taste any of the other flavors. I don't know if something was left out, or it was prepared wrong, but it was not good and put a damper on the meal, as I was excited for a bold drink with a kick.

This was my son's pick for lunch this afternoon and he chose well! Never been here before. I loved the unique look of the restaurant! Our service was great. And the food delicious! We had to try the flaming pu pu and it did not disappoint! The hawaiian nachos were also wonderful and GIANT. Lol.

The food was good , i got the general tso wings and lamb Philly cheese steak, my wife got coconut shrimp and salmon. The wings were a good size and you get a good amount, the sandwich was good also.i wasn’t a fan of the coconut shrimp or the atmosphere.

Google
Absolutely adorable little gem with great food and attentive staff. The vibe is modern and retro all at the same time. The crowd is eclectic and anyone should feel comfortable dining or having a drink. For me, it's truly the atmosphere that makes this place so special! The decor and the whole vibe just automatically puts you in a good mood! Everything is rich and vibrant yet casual. I personally sat at the bar by myself and had a wonderful experience. I got the poke bowl for dinner and it is MASSIVE. I took left overs back to my hotel and this dish must weight 2 pounds 😂 it is delicious! The pineapple gives it a nice touch. I also got the coconut cream pie, only because the bar tender said he was his favorite and holy crap 🤤 absolutely wonderful. Wish I would've ordered 2 slices to go instead of just 1. Even the crust has coconut in it, very good job guys! Would definitely come back, in fact I might just do that while I'm here for work this week. Didn't second guess it, just go, you'll have a wonderful time. 🥂 Edit: Came back 2 nights later and brou7a couple of girls from my team and we ordered the flaming pupu and everything on it was SO GOOD.

Great cocktails and variety of food. The nachos, calamari, pupu platter and shoe string fries are my favorite bites...always forget to take a picture before I stuff my face. The Tiki bar/MCM decor is too cute!

This lively spot has a fun, relaxed vibe, perfect for a date night. The staff were incredibly friendly and enthusiastic – I even spotted one employee dancing down the aisle in a Duke's Mayo t-shirt like a big letter "S" beneath his Hawaiian shirt! While the dim lighting might be a challenge for some diners (I definitely needed my phone's flashlight to read the menu), it didn't seem to bother everyone. I enjoyed the Poke bowl ($22) with a Falcon Smash IPA on tap. The tuna was fresh and the mayo was flavorful, though this wasn't a delicate dish. It was a substantial portion with avocado and a mountain of edamame and rice – easily enough for two people to share. My wife savored the Little Nickel Burger Service was a bit slow, but we enjoyed the lively atmosphere and the opportunity to catch up with friends. Despite the wait, we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

This was a nice cozy spot. We went for a work lunch. I was very pleased. The food portion size is GREAT! The atmosphere is relaxed, yet intriguing. I love the plants, pictures & decor.

Yelp
We were interested in trying something unique and Little Nickel was the perfect choice. Following the driving directions on phone, I wasn't sure what I would find when I arrived. What I found was a delight! Little Nickel has an eclectic atmosphere with an equally creative menu. We were warmly greeted and guided to our table promptly. We were intrigued by the restored antique soda bar. Many live plants gave the venue a tropical feel. Service was friendly, helpful, and on point. Little Nickel has a huge variety of food choices including one of the largest vegetarian and vegan menus I have seen, but as omnivores my wife and I went for the Lamb Shank Tacos and the Ahi Tuna Poke'. Both were delicious! We thoroughly enjoyed sharing our choices at the restaurant and carried enough home for another meal. I highly recommend Little Nickel and can't wait to try more of their unique gastronomic delight

Yelp
Delicious! I ordered the nachos as an entree instead of an appetizer. It is definitely meant for 3+ people. I ate it for three meals total. As I was driving home and the nachos caused my passenger seat alarm to go off because my car thought there was a person in the seat. It was heavy! Good reheated too! Easy parking lot access. Cute decorations and nice staff!

Yelp
Little Nickel is such a fun vibe and is ALWAYS crowded, so you know it's good. The taco bowl is one of their specials so it's not on the main menu, but I'm pretty sure they always offer it because of how good it is. They also have great specialty cocktails that you have to try. And for a cherry on top, there's a huge parking lot behind the restaurant!

Yelp
Wanted a vibe and dinner so this is where we landed !!!! Nickle Burger, Crab spaghetti, Long Island Iced Tea and a Bone Zone!!! We sat at the bar and the bartenders were so awesome!!

Yelp
A fun + unique menu! I went for the nachos and wish I'd had 2 other people at my table to share with; it was a huge portion. The fried halloumi cheese had a thick breading holding the gooey cheese. I didn't care for the yogurt dipping sauce but I didn't hate it either. I loved sitting on the patio during lunch hour. I got some work done before enjoying the breeze.

Yelp
Little Nickel offers a unique vibe that's more Key West Hemingway meets Little Havana than just "tropical"--and I love it! Parking is hassle-free with two ample lots, though I prefer street parking on 47th for convenience. The drinks are phenomenal, featuring a rotating menu that keeps things exciting. I particularly recommend The Smoking Gun and Rini as top-notch choices. The portions here are generous and ideal for sharing. The Hawaiian nachos are a feast unto themselves, and the lamb cheesesteak is a must-try. Don't forget to ask for a side of the miso honey mustard for your fries--it's a game-changer! Service is always friendly and upbeat, with a staff that truly enjoys their work. The covered patio being dog-friendly is a lovely touch for pet owners.

Yelp
Had a great time. That atmosphere was cool & the food & drinks were great. ( ESPECIALLY THE WINGS ) Our server was friendly & polite as well. The booths are a little tight & parking can be a challenge, but I'll definitely be back!!!

Yelp
Returned today and had the shrimp lunch dish that had jalapeño slaw which came with shoestring fries. The bread is so incredibly delicious but I got full so I had to stop. Hubby got the same as last time. Slow to serve but worth the wait. Fast check out so much better.

Yelp
Cute place in a great neighborhood with tasty food. What more do you need? I have a good friend who moved to the area recently so I visited for the day so we could catch up, walk the neighborhood and have lunch. There are lots of good choices for lunch in this area within walking distance. If we were drinking we might have visited the Veil, but we both are trying to lose a bit of weight so have been forgoing alcohol to see if cutting those calories would help drop a few pounds before we break out bathing suits for beach vacations. Little Nickel is such a cute place with a tiki bar vibe. The menu had some very interesting choices. My friend is pescatarian so she ended up ordering a sweet potato and kale sandwich that looked really good. I got a salad that had avocado, oranges, cabbage, Thai basil and cilantro and I added grilled chicken. It was a ginormous salad and was really good. I felt like I ate and ate and didn't make a dent in it. The chicken was a great addition too This is a really fun neighborhood restaurant and I'm sure we will visit again.

Yelp
Had to try Little Nickel because I had heard legends of how good this place is. To put it short, it didn't disappoint. Quirky atmosphere? Check Laid Back Vibe? Check Full bar? Check It gave me the Richmond feels for real. Reminds me of a fan restaurant/bar. How was the food you ask? Very delicious and unique interesting flavors. I had the lamb cheesesteak and it was fantastic. The fries are very thin and crispy, I would say top 5 best fries in RVA no cap. We will be back to try something else.

Yelp
This restaurant is a hidden gem. The ambience from the road looks very inviting and once going into the restaurant itself it has an indoor outdoor and it's super quaint. I will save if you're sitting outside be prepared that there could be flies or anything like that which we encountered, but that's to be expected sitting outside. They do have the fly detours that they can place on your table which is a great to help enjoy your meal outside. We will be coming back for date night as there is more on the menu we would like to try. We did try this for lunch. Staff is very friendly and inviting. Flaming Pu-Pu appetizer.. everything was delicious in this appetizer. The lumpia was slightly cold but did taste good. The wings were our favorite, the sauce was hands down the star of the dish. The beef skewers were yummy and the flavor of them had a slight citrus flavoring with other seasoning. My in-laws enjoyed their fried cod sandwich.

Yelp
There are very few restaurants that I crave on a very regular basis and little nickel is one of them! The atmosphere is so cute, with the tiki theme. You feel transported somewhere tropical while you are there. The drinks are great! I got the Sonya and it was the perfect seasonal gin cocktail. And when I tell you these are the best nachos in richmond! The serving is absolutely huge; one plate of nachos usually makes three meals for me or split amount friends. The fried halloumi is also a favorite of mine! The staff is always super friendly and very attentive. It's worth the wait for a table!

Yelp
This place was hopping during Happy Hour on a Friday. There were options for every palate from loaded nachos to peri-peri chicken to sandwiches, salads and fun cocktails. Every single server was smiley and helpful even though it was extremely busy. The decor is a little kitschy, but somehow it works. It is very loud inside, but the energy is great. Halloumi app was creative with a spicy harissa yogurt dip. My salad with grilled chicken had great flavor but could use more dressing and a little less arugula relative to the rest of the ingredients. My partner ordered the loaded pork nachos and the pulled pork was excellent. He wanted more cheese sauce. But this is nitpicking. I am so happy I discovered this gem, which is clearly a favorite in the neighborhood for a reason. I would go back if I find myself in the area again.

Yelp
Came here will little expectations and was blown away by the quality, portions, service and atmosphere. My only small gripe is that the parking is a little sketchy and they could use with more lighting. Love the kitschy atmosphere and decor, the lights and tropical theme were really cute. We were seated in the outside but enclosed tent porch area which was very cute and aesthetic. My only small complaint is that the tables are a little small. The service was excellent, even though we had to wait a while to be seated since they were so busy, the wait was worth it. Our server was prompt, attentive and helpful. Even the hosts were nice. The portion sizes are MASSIVE and the quality of the food is excellent. I normally am not much into nachos, but the pork in ours was so flavorful and succulent! The platter was HUGE, honestly I could have just eaten that as my meal. They added pineapple into the pork and it was so tender; frequently the shredded pork on nachos at restaurants is dry but this one was so moist and tender. Between 4 people, if you order this appetizer you should definitely only order 1 entree per 2 people afterwards. I made the mistake of ordering my own entree (coconut shrimp roll) and I basically had to take the whole thing home. The crab spaghetti was delicious and probably like 2 lbs of spaghetti so fantastic value. It was chock full of chunks of crab meat. Coconut shrimp roll was good, but my favorite part of the dish was their thin fries which were addictive. I didn't eat the Nickel burger but they said it was good and ate the whole thing. Will definitely return and look forward to trying the rest of the menu!

Yelp
I love this place! I love it so much I came back a week later after my first visit. First off the vibes are awesome. The inside reminds me of a famous speakeasy in chicago called three dots and a dash. Love the tropical art deco vibes with all the art, furniture and wallpaper. Next off the drinks are super delicious. Saying I have an obsession for tiki drinks is an understatement. And they have some awesome presentation skills with each drink coming in a special glass- my favorite was the skeleton drink. I'm not quite sure how often they rotate their cocktail menu, but the bartender did mention they were switching out their frozen drink soon. Next up I'm hoping to try their punch bowl drink! Finally, the food was super delicious. The portion sized are HUGE, so we shared about everything among the table. The menu seems to have a mix of Polynesian, Hawaiian and Filipino influences.

Yelp
I was introduced to Little Nickel by friends and never would have realized this cute, fun, and tasty restaurant was tucked away here. I had a grilled chicken burger on a gluten free bun, which was moist and full of flavor along with a side of sweet potato fingerlings with chimichurri. The servers were very attentive and friendly. It was quite busy on the evening we went, and they won't seat your party until all members have arrived, so expect that there may be a wait during peak hours on a nice weather day.

Yelp
Came here on a whim with my dad, we were quickly sat, as it was about 30 minutes before closing, and we didn't want to be 'those people', but we were hungry. Food: -Hawaiian Nachos - damn, these are different and good. also, the portion size is fantastic, you really get your moneys worth. -Lumpia - pretty good, not amazing, but way above average -Lamb Burger - okay, not good, not bad. Lamb is obviously a more lean meat, and more difficult to cook, I will first say, the cook was perfect, it just needed 'something', could just have been more feta or of the aioli, it just seemed like it needed one more thing, mostly salt, but not sure the best way to solve it. Service: -everyone was very nice, hostess, waiter, barback, and the place was chill. I'd easily suggest this place, i'd just maybe skip the lamb burger next time, and absolutely order the nachos.

Yelp
HOLY PORTIONS. This place serves enormous portion sizes - I ordered the poke bowl and ate about half before I was full (and I can eat a lot of food). A friend ordered the crab spaghetti and the group of 8 of us questioned if she had even touched the dish. At the end, she got a box and wasn't able to fit all of her leftovers in the box because they served a giant heaping pile. If you are looking for good food in enormous quantities, this is the place for you. The prices are good for a single meal - but excellent when you consider that it serves as both lunch and dinner. Portion size aside, the food was very good. My poke bowl was refreshing: the fish tasted fresh, the rice was well cooked (and I am very picky about rice quality) and the vegetables/sauce paired very well with everything. We had a nacho platter as an appetizer and that was also excellent - the salsa verde and queso on the nachos tasted great. It was well made, very flavorful and we cleaned up the platter. The crab spaghetti was a bit overly salty/seasoned for my liking so I wouldn't recommend that one. But all of the poke we had was excellent. The vibes of the location is excellent: the art deco theme and art was spread throughout the restaurant. The fake(?) tropical plants were also a nice touch and overall, it was an excellent restaurant ambiance. The tiki drinks also added a cute touch. We arrived when it was very busy - but even though the waitress was very busy, she was still attentive to additional drinks that we wanted to order and the drinks came out relatively quickly (for how busy it was). They were also very nice and answered questions that some of us had regarding allergens. I would strongly recommend this place - for its excellent service, wonderful decore, and amazing value on supersized portions.

Yelp
We are visiting in town this week, staying in the Richmond Hills area. Want to give a shout out to the Little Nickel restaurant and staff. Everyone has been so friendly, the food is amazing as well as the drinks. Would 10/10 recommend trying it out if you haven't been (we've already come back 3x this week ), you won't be disappointed!!

Yelp
This was my first visit to Little Nickel. I had been hearing great things about this place, but as a Northside resident it is not in an area that I frequent. I really enjoyed my experience in the cute little spot. As a self-proclaimed plant lady, I enjoyed the tropical decor. The service was great and kitchen staff were very amicable. My friend and I ordered lumpia to start, but changed our mind and decided to go with the whole puppy platter after the lumpia came out super fast. The server worked it out with the kitchen and they made us a pupu platter without the lumpia and didn't add an extra charge. The pupu platter was amazing and definitely a lot of food for just the two of us. So imagine my surprise when my giant branzino showed up! Lol The branzino was cooked to perfection, but I could only eat a few bites. Thankfully, it reheated well the next day! I will definitely be going back to Little Nickel. Maybe for date night next time.

Yelp
One of the most bizarre, confusing dining experiences I've ever had. Food & service were just all over the place. I've wanted to try Little Nickel for a while. Chance of returning 0%. Cons: Way too many to list, but the food, service, quality, and vibes were all off. Pros: The bartender made a nice drink. The decor is kitschy and fun.

Yelp
Poor customer service. Especially the individual at the host stand. Sad about the experience I had today

Yelp
This place was cute. Went here on a friend's recommendation. There is usually a wait, street parking, and they have inside and outside seating. I ordered the picadillo stuffed pepper. It was okay, service was okay. Be prepared to wait a bit ;-)

Yelp
Amazing place to take friends for good food and drinks! We loved the tiki bar ambiance. Cute tropical details all throughout the dining areas. We liked the outdoor seating option and that it's actually bigger inside then it looks! Our waitress and hostess were both very friendly and fun. Nachos were amazing and a huge portion. We filled up before we got our food but the few bites we had were good! Drinks were great as well. Highly recommend stopping by!

Yelp
The customer service was fine. The outside patio was copper cute. The food...eh. And not to say it was bad, just not for my pallet.

Yelp
Dinner reservations for 7 last night to celebrate a special occasion. They gave our seats to another group of 7 thinking it was us. Okay, things happen. We were sat outside where there were heaters, but....the heater for our table didn't work. Tried to make the best of it with kids and grandparents who were freezing so we ordered a bunch of apps / drinks....the Shirley temples and tea came out soon but waited 35m for the apps to arrive and no refill on the hot water offered for the tea. This would have been nice given how cold it was. Once the food arrived I thought, here we go...this should be good. Sadly, the steak was very tough, dry, and without seasoning and the seafood pasta was basically broken up fish on spaghetti noodles. I really wanted to like this place, but alas I'm reminded that if you want a special night where hundreds are spent just go to Stella's or Edo. Probably a good place for nachos and a beer, but I would avoid for dinner.
google avatar

Laurie L.

Yelp
First time trying this place! I loved the ambiance, it gives a tropical hole in the wall type of spot. Our server was great (I can't remember her name lol). But we started with the octopus ceviche, it was a little sweet for my taste. I wish it had been more salty but it was still good overall. We also got the pork nachos for what this place was known for. They were really good! I also go the pupu platter that comes out with the flaming fire. That was also really good! Overall, I definitely want to come back to try more drinks and other food items.

Brandon H.

Yelp
The food was amazing, but the service was underwhelming. We waited beyond the average amount of time for our drinks, after opening, and the our waitress was dismissive. I would love to have this food on Ubereats.

Yelp
Such a cute and quirky, tiki-type restaurant. We came here for a quick lunch before an activity, so we didn't get to stay long, but off bay I am obsessed with the decor and cannot wait to go back and soak it all in. Even the bathroom is cool. I got the lumpia and the general tso's wings. The lumpia were not it for me and tasted nothing like the many many lumpia I've had over the years . They were nice and crisp and hot, but the filling was...not traditional. The sauce was weird and ketchupy. The wings were edible, but really just fried hard, plain and tossed in sauce. The chicken itself was bland, not juicy at all. My companion got the lamb cheesesteak and absolutely LOVED it. Neither of us expected much out of shoestring fries, but they were honestly delicious. They have this great crispiness to them. One thing I noticed here is that the portions are HUGE and great for sharing. We were considering nachos, but I'm glad we didn't get them because we never would've finished. Would definitely come back and try more of the menu!

Yelp
I wasn't sure about this place when we first pulled up, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a fun and cozy atmosphere. Great staff. Food was delicious and the portions are generous. It felt like a great value! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
I've been wanting to go here for a long time, and it was definitely worth it!!! A little crowded, bit it was a Saturday night, so that's understandable, and the wait staff was still prompt and courteous. The restaurant is small but very clean and 1 love the decor. Flaming Pu Pu was fantastic, General Tso's wings are quite spicy, but the flavor is on point The spagetti was amazing mussels were clean and not sandy. The Pork bowl had so many different flavors mingling together, but in perfect harmony. Portions are huge, so plenty to take home in the meals. Will absolutely be returning. Actually, I'm coming back with friends on St. Patrick's Day!!!

Yelp
My husband found this place to have dinner on our first of two nights in Richmond. He thought my daughter and I would like the tropical-influenced menu and he was right! There was a little wait when we arrived so we purchased a couple of drinks at the bar while we waited. The Coquito Bandito frozen cocktail with rum, toasted coconut, and rice milk was strong but delicious. I made sure to sip it slowly! A table opened up quickly and we ordered Fried Halloumi as an appetizer. My daughter and I love halloumi and were excited to see it on their menu! We never had it so thickly cut but it was tasty when dipped in the accompanying harissa-yogurt mint sauce. For mains, my daughter had the Salmon Cake sandwich with shoestring fries (we all thought they were some of the best fries we had ever tasted), I had the Coconut Shrimp Roll with slaw, and my husband had Crab Spaghetti. We could not believe the portion size of the Crab Spaghetti when it was set in front of my husband! I swear it was like a whole pound of spaghetti in one serving! Too much. If we had known how large the portion sizes were, we would have made other choices in our meal selections. We should have done our Yelp homework before going! Our server was fabulous! Super friendly, attentive, and helpful to us out-of-towners. He even brought us a yummy slice of coconut cream pie to share for dessert. We were stuffed but managed to enjoy that, too!
google avatar

Yelp
A girl friend and I came here for lunch. I had the lamb burger done exactly the way I like. The fries are amazing and you probably can't eat them all. We have never made it to desert! Great neighborhood location with easy parking.

Yelp
A couple of us went here for cocktails and they did not disappoint! The bartenders were incredibly nice and made amazing drinks for us. Look forward to going back!

Yelp
Stopped here on my way through Richmond. Can I get the designer to come design my house ?! What fun wallpaper and decor! Unique menu, cool vibes, and friendly staff. They also have a large outdoor patio area, but unfortunately it was raining as we drove through. We had the calamari, wings and chicken bowl. Yummmmmm. I'm a big app lover and these two did not disappoint! Would definitely come back the next time I'm in town.

Yelp
Looking for tiki bar meets diner vibes? Little Nickel is the aesthetically pleasing spot you're looking for. I would say they have the most iconic bathroom in Richmond (it's the wallpaper, I normally wouldn't say this, but go to this restaurant for the bathroom alone). This charming spot is located in Forest Hill and has a tiny parking lot out back. There is also tons of free street parking nearby. They have cozy seats and tasty food. I will add that some of their things can be hit or miss (coconut shrimp sandwich isn't one for me [sauce is too sweet]), but when you hit, it's a homerun. Things I would recommend ordering are the: Hawaiian Nachos: This is a staple. I would say they're probably the tastiest nachos in RVA. They're loaded with all the good stuff like pickled red onions and jalapenos. You can choose to add on meat to them too. Flaming Pu-pu Platter: Don't let the name deceive you, you'll get a delicious sampler of some of their best appetizers. This is a really good dish for two to three people to share. You get three of everything in this sampler. Cocktails: Yes, all of them. Their cocktails are sneakily strong. If you get one of their bottled ones, be sure to share it or you'll blackout.. I know this isn't a cocktail, but it's amazing to have a spot where you can get a $2 beer (Narragansett). Their Moroccan Mama cocktail is absolutely amazing. Nickel Burger: This is a tasty burger and if you're craving one it's a good burger to try. Little Nickel is a really fun restaurant to check out in Richmond. I'd highly recommend coming here for a girls night out or a date night.

Yelp
I ordered takeout from here and have a few mixed feelings. First of all - even for takeout, the portions here are massive. That being said, this is a bit of a pricier place to eat, but the portions definitely are worth that. Now, if you come here for Hawaiian food, you will be let down. I was excited to try the Hawaiian Pork Bowl, but was disappointed to find it was more of a Mexican Pork Bowl. I guess the description should've given away it had beans, crema fresca, and tomatoes in it. This dish was also a bit too acidic/not salted for my taste. The portions were huge, but I could really only have a few bites before needing to take a break. The Crab Spaghetti is unique and something you're not going to find most other places. It is nicely seasoned with tart artichokes and fennel, which does give it a unique flavor palette. Overall, my experience was good but not great. They got me what I wanted and the only real let down was the Hawaiian Pork Bowl because it wasn't what I was expecting. Might come back here to dine in because it definitely looked like a fun experience with all of the decorations!

Yelp
Went back to Little Nickel with friends recently. As usual the Hawaiian Pork Bowl did not disappoint. I was a little bummed out because there was not much room for the four of us at the table we were at. But the ambiance made it tolerable. Such great ambiance in this place! They lose a star because the hostess, not our server, came by and cleared our appetizer before we were even done eating it! Major party foul! Before I could object she was gone with it into the kitchen. Little Nickel...I am a huge fan, but please train staff, including hostesses, to please ask the patrons if they are done with their food before you take it from them. Great place but customer service suffered this visit.

Yelp
My first time visiting this restaurant was Friday night. My boyfriend and I wanted dinner so we showed up around 9 PM. The establishment closes at 10:30 PM. We were seated almost right away. The drinks on the menu are awesome. They are great to share if you come up with another person or group. My boyfriend and I shared the bottled Hericane cocktail. The two appetizers that we ordered were the lumpia eggrolls and the chicken wings. The wings were my favorite out of the two. They were very crispy hot and flavorful. The portion sizes here are huge. You will not leave hungry and will always leave with a few to go boxes, they play pretty good music and the inside is a tropical vibe.

Yelp
Undoubtedly my favorite hidden gem, and I prefer to keep it to myself because of its excellence. Keeping it brief - the lamb steak and cheese with the fire-grilled sweet potato wedges were as impressive as the outstanding customer service and the delightful patrons. Words don't do it justice; you have to experience it firsthand. And no, I don't have photos. I prefer eating my food over photoing it. Nah, I tend to get engrossed in my surrounding and forget.

Yelp
I've been to Little Nickel before and I try to get something new each time. This time around I got the Lamb Cheesesteak with fries on the side and o m g. The cheesesteak was COVERED in cheese sauce. Enough that I could dip my fries into it!! It'll the sandwich comes with peppers and onions but I asked for no onions so they gave me peppers on the side and there was cherry pepper already on the sandwich. It was so good!! And don't even get me started on the fries. This pregnancy my main craving has been fries and Little Nicole absolutely delivered! I love the shoe string fries! So crisp and light you get lost eating them. As far as the service goes, our waitress was on point. As soon as we sat down we had two water delivered to us. They were very attentive to us and it made our lunch even more special. The inside is decorated so cute. It's like a little beach bar with decor all over the walls and eccentric Knick knacks placed all around. When you park in the back and walk in, the section right when you walk in doesn't have A/C. Just a large fan that blows warm air. I've never really seen anyone eat in that area and for good reason. Not sure what's going on with that but there other seating in better conditions where you can enjoy your meal.

Yelp
What a fun hip place. Had to wait 45 min for table but a great place. Unique twists on food. Energetic servers. Again great vibe. Food was favorable and plentiful. Go here.

Yelp
Our waitress was sweet, friendly, & patient so points for that. The food was alright but honestly nothing amazing. We split the nickel burger & the lamb cheesesteak. Both fine but lacked a wow factor. I also got the coconut cream pie which was good, probably my favorite thing I ate there. I enjoyed the outdoor seating, & tropical vibes! Cool place, I was disappointed though that I asked for bbq & they offered wing sauce instead but I didn't realize it'd be an extra charge. Overall, it was nice to check it off the list but probably won't be returning.

Yelp
Perfect solo lunch date adventures. Little Nickel was on my list as they offer gluten free options for an app, entrée and dessert. I want to indulge in it all and don't want any limitations. Their designated parking area was hard to find, so I just parked on the street. I decided to sit outside and enjoy the jungle/plant vibes. It was very laid back and relaxing. My server was friendly and speedy. I started with the fried halloumi with mint yogurt sauce, 9/10! Next, I had the Peri Peri Chicken and was a little disappointed the Brussel sprouts were cold while the rest of the meal was hot, 7/10. Lastly, not pictured I ordered the gf pineapple upside down cake to go. 10/10 it was sooooo yummy! My total was around $60, which wasn't terrible considering I ordered a drink that was delicious, by the way. I'd definitely return to try other items.

Yelp
Food wasn't bad the tuna was very good inside the poke bowl but i felt i could have added lemon or something. The Cauliflower dish was amazing and good for vegetarian the sauce really imitates steak and it was wonderful! Service was not bad either. Portions are big though!

Yelp
Went here with family on a Friday for lunch and were seated right away because it wasn't too crowded. Parking was a bit confusing; you have to use a side road to get behind the restaurant where the main parking lot is. There is additional parking in a lot off that main lot too though. The wait staff is really nice, and answered our questions. The food was excellent- I got the lamb cheesesteak which came with fries but I didn't finish the fries because the sandwich was HUGE. Easily splittable, as goes the other dishes my family got. Would go there again!

Yelp
My favorite go to place w/ the kids & significant other The service is excellent & the food is ALWAYS good. I usually get the Hawaiian nachos but this time I stepped outside the box & got the salt and pepper calamari. Best thing I could've did.

Yelp
First time here. This place is a little quirky with its decor, Polynesian flair and it carries over to the food. I had the Flaming Pu Pu: General Tso's wings (good), Crab Rangoon (good), Beef Skewers (not great, 2 were room temperature and the third was half raw), Coconut Shrimp (great) and Lumpia (awesome!). It was served with two side dips that were delicious. At the end of my meal I had a glass of their Barberra wine and it was delicious! The server was not very attentive. She was more focused on chatting up with her co-workers. I noticed the other servers were not like that. Just luck of the draw I guess.

Yelp
This is a cute Mexican/Hawaiian restaurant. I didn't make reservation so it was about 30mins wait time that we wanted to sit inside. They have two outdoor space but it's not great for a hot summer. They took down the name and phone number so you can go walk around or get a drink at the bar. When I arrived I saw everyone taking boxes of food when they left thought they were just here for take outs. But actually it's because all the portions are huge at this place. I had the crab Spaghetti I swear it could feed 4 adults. I ate some and pack a whole box and still have a lot left in the bowl. It's a bit of waste to be honest, no one can ever finish the bowl. The nacho is very nice and good flavor, but it's still also very huge portion for appetizer. Service is great, the hostess is very friendly and our waiter is also very attentive.
