Even though it’s just a café, it serves authentic Penang-style cuisine that truly captures the local flavours. Whatever Penang dish you can think of, you’ll probably find it here — it’s a convenient one-stop spot for Penang favourites. There may not always be a long queue, but the restaurant is consistently full house, and the food is served fast too. Overall, I really enjoyed my meal!

I stopped by here as a bit of a break from exploring KLCC in the afternoon for a bit of a teatime and no regrets. Although I have been here a few times but it has always been having kueh and a drink. So, my rating is for the kueh. Each one fragrant and with the right texture. All of them tasted fresh and were really pleasant to eat. For anyone wanting to order from the menu (food and drink) will need to write down on a chit to pass it to a staff to place the order. Your order will be delivered to your table. Staff were ok too. Ambience perspective, love the decor as it feels rustic and tasteful. It has a different feel to the rest of KLCC and a nice break.

A good restaurant inside the mall. We were lucky and did not have to wait. When we left, there was a queue. The food was served quickly and it was hot. I ordered the nasi lemak with chicken (drumstick). I did not really enjoy the chicken. And, I expected more sauce. I had a good meal, but I did not think it was all that special. Perhaps I picked the wrong dish(?) Worth a try if you are nearby.

Very decent and authentic food and prices are considered reasonable. Personally favourite are the pie tee and the satay. Not much of a queue as we only went at 3pm for a late lunch. Staff service was good

Little Penang at KLCC serves the best laksa I’ve had so far, flavourful, well-seasoned, and consistently delicious. Every time I dine in, the quality is always the same. Despite the place being packed most of the time, the service is fast. Definitely one of my favourite spots for a satisfying meal

21 Jun 2025, Saturday, 11am I ordered a hot teh tarik without sugar, a cup of hot water and one durian ice kachang (ice shaving) and had gula melaka syrup instead of the usual colour syrup. It comes with grass jelly cubes, sweet corn and salted peanuts that tasted like they were from peanut butter. I love it! Too full for other food as I had breakfast 2 hours ago. I will come back for the Penang Assam Laksa later for lunch.

I went there just before they close to order. They welcomed us and guided to seat. We ordered some basic dishes to prepare easily. And I finally found that this restaurant is real 맛집. The fried rice was amaizing with fire flavered and perfect seasoning. Cendol was exactly what I wanted, not too much sweet and beans. I can say that it’s better than the other famous restaurant near there. The price is the best thing.

At Little Penang Kafe – KLCC, the food did not disappoint. The Pie Tee was a real highlight – thin, crispy shells filled with fresh, tasty ingredients that gave a perfect crunch in every bite. The Duck Egg Char Kueh Teow was delicious as well, packed with wok hei and loaded with prawns and cockles. The duck egg added extra richness, making the dish even more enjoyable. A good place to satisfy Penang food cravings right in the heart of KLCC.

Yelp
My mom and I were walking around Suria KLCC and came across Little Penang Cafe while browsing the 4th level. It was our first day in KL, so we were looking for some traditional Malaysian food. Little Penang Cafe appeared to provide just that. The place was packed around noon during a Monday. Not sure if that was a normal thing or if the national holiday brought in more guests than usual. Regardless, we were able to get seated right away. Little Penang Cafe was not the type of restaurant you'd want to hang around for hours. You sit in for a meal and then head on your merry way when finished. The customer service, as a result, was more transactional than anything else because of the quick customer turnaround. Also our food came out really fast. We waited up to 5 min for our food to be served. My mom ordered the Assam Laksa. This appeared to be a very traditional Malaysian noodle soup dish, and posters around the restaurant claimed that it was voted the best at Little Penang Cafe. Personally I didn't care much for it at all. It was way too sour and fishy for my liking. I had the Penang Hokkien Prawn Mee. I liked the broth of my soup way better than the Assam Laksa. It was slightly fishy, but it had a tomato base and more peppery taste. The fried garlic in the soup was a nice touch. I did think that the soup skimped on the prawns. I got 2 tiny shrimp in the entire dish.

Yelp
Whoa! My prawn mee (noodle) soup was delicious! I was craving for this noodle soup for months! Penang is an island up north located in East Malaysia. The cafe is trying to bring the Penang taste to customers in this KL region or to the tourists. I loved my prawn noodle soup and I finished the entire plate, no leftover! My sister ordered an appetizer salad roll. The cut up rolls tasted like pasembur (Malaysian salad). We also had cendol, a Malaysian ice sweet dessert consists of coconut milk, rice flour jelly and palm sugar. This is hard to explain but the taste was really good! We were served by some great staff too, polite and friendly. After all that we continued walking around the complex. Next we decided to head down to KLCC Park and for me to continue taking more pictures.

Yelp
Food here is fairly good. It's a little pricier than many of the other places, but it's in a nice air conditioned mall. The laksa was really interesting and different to other laksas that I've had. It hard a fairly strong fish taste. Char kuey teow was really good. The noodles were tasty as was the seafood. Note we did pay a surcharge for extra seafood but there wasn't a lot at all. Nasi lemak was ok. The coconut was extremely good. At 8rng, it was more expensive than other places. But it was really sweet. Accept credit card over 30.

Yelp
Excellent food. Been here several times over the years but tonight they had Siamese Lemak Laksa on the menu. Had to give it a try. Wow!! I've had similar laksa up north near Alor Setar. But this is the best I've had.

Yelp
This is a nice, open restaurant on Suria KLCC's upper floor, off the central area. The menu is a decent size, and the prices are good, with most entrees around the RM15 mark. The food was pretty good -- definitely rich with flavor. The tables are a little close together, so be prepared to have every conversation clearly heard by the neighbors. The service was the one area that left a lot to be desired. It was very slow, despite the large number of staff and relatively few diners when I was there. Even waving down waiters took numerous attempts.

Yelp
I've always enjoyed the food at Little Penang but have one big issue that upsets me. It's the black vein of the prawns that they never remove. When you bite into the prawn you get that horrible flavor and it's also sandy. It's the prawn shit. Please please do devein the prawns. Thank you.
