We went there for my birthday weekend and our stay was exceptional. The rooms were immaculate and very comfortable. Patty and Gary were very personable and super hosts. Patty's suggestions were just wonderful and spit on. We loved sitting out back and enjoying the river view. The patio was lovely, and we were served such a creative and sweet breakfast with a birthday candle as an extra nice touch! We will be going back for sure.

A delightful four days at Little River B & B! Like other reviewers have said, the B&B is comfortable, immaculately clean, quiet and peaceful. We had breakfast out on the patio when weather permitted, and enjoyed the creek and beautiful garden. Patty and Gary were warm and welcoming and Patty's suggestions of what to do in the area were spot on. And the breakfasts were fabulous -- we really felt spoiled. Thanks for such a wonderful stay!

The B&B is lovely inside & out. It sits right on a beautiful stream. The inside is very comfortable, updated & very “clean”. Our room on the first floor was very comfortable & spacious as was our bathroom. The owners were extremely nice & very attentive. We had a delicious gourmet style homemade breakfast each morning always served with fruit & of course freshly served coffee. I don’t think anyone would be disappointed staying here. The town of Peterborough is beautiful & has a lot to offer. It’s gorgeous in the fall with the foliage!

My husband and I were in town in June for a family wedding, and this B&B was the BEST we have ever experienced! Clean, well decorated, amazing location, friendly and breakfast was fantastic. We will stay again when we are back to visit family in the area! Thank you

Immaculately clean, quiet and peaceful. A warm welcome from the owners, Patty and Gary. Fantastic home cooked breakfasts -- we even got to eat out on the patio by the garden and river. Lots of great suggestions from Patty on what to do in the area -- we were not disappointed!!

Little River Bed & Breakfast is nestled into such a quaint area. Gary and Patty are so hospitable and the food is delicious!! The room is perfect: clean and cozy. I spent most of my time there in my room and could hear the river out my window as I read my book. Gary and Patty have some resources for what to do in the area. The town is so cute with nice shops. I highly recommend staying here!

My husband and I stayed at Little River for three days over Columbus Day weekend. The B&B is in a beautiful location, with a babbling river just behind the house. There are Adirondack chairs set on the riverbank so you can sit and enjoy the view. We stayed in the Treetop room on the third floor, and we could see the river and hear the gentle sound of the river from our room! Our room was surprisingly big, and very clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was delivered to us every day at 9 AM, and it was delicious! I was expecting something simple like a selection of muffins, but we were served hot items like baked French toast or a spinach frittata. The one drawback was the covid precautions that the hosts took. We were unable to eat breakfast in the dining room and needed to eat in our room, which took away from the sociability of meeting other guests. However, there was a table in our room, so it was comfortable to eat there. All in all, it was a great place to stay, and we will stay there again if we have reason to visit Peterborough again!

Little River B&B is a perfect place for a getaway. The B&B itself has the charm of a homey cottage but is run with the utmost professionalism by Patty and Gary. Quiet, clean, lots of local recommendations, and absolutely delicious breakfast! I loved the Adirondack chairs in the backyard, spending an early morning listening to the soothing rapids of Little River. ||||Little River B&B's location gives you access to tons for a long weekend. Peterborough is an adorable little town to explore -- artsy, a couple local but good restaurants, a brewery, a chocolate shop. Mt. Monadnock is only 15 minutes away if you want to hike, and there's a nice lake with $5 kayaks nearby, as well. ||||If you want to get out of the city and enjoy the outdoors, or even just explore a cute town, Little River B&B will give you the home-away-from-home feel.

Yelp
As close to perfection as is humanly possible. An old, old house but everything that matters is modern and high quality, mattress, shower, toilet, sink - everything. Quiet, with beautiful grounds, convenient to downtown Peterborough. The food was simply wonderful - completely beyond any expectations. More than we'd normally eat for breakfast, so we skipped lunch both days. Rob and Paula are thoughtful and accommodating - they have thought of everything to make your stay wonderful.

Yelp
I called the last minute to make the reservation. Patti was very kind and accomodating. This is a fantastic B&B! It is very cozy, peaceful right next to a little river with a beautiful garden. I stayed in the Goose Brook Room. It's a cute room with a nice clean bathroom. Breakfast was delish! I highly recommend Little River Bed & Breakfast!

Yelp
The bf and I stayed here for a friend's wedding at the beginning of the month. The owners are lovely people with great stories to tell and absolutely amazing food. Our first breakfast was home-made granola and yogurt, coffee and tea, juice, and a thick piece of toast with beef broth-sauteed onions and baked with an egg on top. Our second breakfast was baked french toast bread pudding and was phenomenal. We stayed in the Monadnock room on the first floor, which was cozy and clean, with a gas stove in the corner. The attached bedroom was beautiful. It was tastefully simple and elegant. I liked the eco-friendly soaps and shampoos, and the fact that they store their tioletries in locally-woven baskets. When we returned in the afternoons, there was cool water and clean glasses waiting for us on the desk in our rooms. When we needed directions, the owners gave us a map of a particularly beautiful scenic route. All in all a great experience. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
I just returned from a three night stay at the Little River B&B in Peterborough and it was fabulous. Their attention to detail and hospitality are among the best I've ever encountered. Upon our arrival (boyfriend in tow), we were cheerfully greeted, given a tour of the common areas and taken up to our room. The common areas included a living room with flat screen TV and fireplace, sun porch which got tons of sun in the morning and a deck. Our room was tastefully decorated and appointed with a gas remote controlled fireplace (AMAZING!), flat screen TV, deliciously high thread-count sheets, plush towels and attached bath with a pocket door! I have a thing for pocket doors :) We also had a beautiful view of the river in the backyard. Everything seemed brand new, yet the place still had the character of an old New England home. Paula and Rob had delicious breakfasts each morning and were flexible about what time it was served. They also were extremely helpful, even making our new year's dinner reservation for us. Our last night, we were very tired from snowboarding/skiing all day and we wanted to have pizza for dinner. Since none of the places in town delivered, Paula and Rob offered to pick it up for us. Way beyond the call of duty! So if you're visiting the Monadnock region, I HIGHLY recommend staying with Rob & Paula at Little River Bed and Breakfast. They are the best and I will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
We chose Little River Bed & Breakfast for our stay as it was near to a wedding we were attending. The experience exceeded my expectations in every way! The owners, Rob and Paula were kind and anticipated our needs. The inn was exceptionally clean, peaceful and comfortable. I was expecting more rustic with dated amenities. I was thrilled to see how modern the accommodations were. It was the absolute perfect blend of charming New England B&B in an up-to-date facility. The breakfasts were delicious and tailored to our likes. It was difficult to leave and I highly recommend Little River Bed & Breakfast and look forward to returning.

Yelp
A list of 10 things to *LOVE* about LRBB: 1) Paula and Rob are fantastic hosts. 2) Paula is a great chef. And I mean chef, rather than cook. 3) The A/C works like a charm and is heavenly for those warm summer nights. 4) The attention to detail never misses a trick. 5) The interiors are all pretty much brand-new, including a spectacular number of electrical outlets. You may laugh, but I've stayed at dozens of B&Bs, and almost every one had too few outlets. LRBB has more outlets than you can possibly use, unless you're a professional DJ or planning to set up a control booth for a live TV broadcast in your room. 6) Homemade granola. 7) The Adirondack chairs by the burbling river. 8) Rob is gregarious, funny and charming. It's too bad he's a Browns fan, but nobody's perfect. :) 9) Modern bathrooms. None of that, "Hey, look, it's a tub from 1862, with rust stains from 1872 inside!" kind of thing. 10) Paula and Rob will go above and beyond the call of duty to make your stay easier.

Yelp
Wonderful hosts, sparkling clean accommodations, most comfortable room and a delicious breakfast was enjoyed with my husband this past weekend for a quick getaway. I would highly recommend this charming spot to anyone. We enjoyed visiting Peterborough and then on to Keene.

Yelp
This place was amazing. It was exactly what my husband and I were looking for in our mini vacation getaway. The house was spotless. There wasn't even a spec of dust on the baseboards. The house was built in the late 1800s and is completely renovated / up-to-date, but still had the charm of a house from its time. The owners were so inviting. They ask you if there is anything they can get you, they are always available, and make sure your stay is amazing. They ask you the night before what time you would like breakfast because they like to make and serve it as fresh as possible. They also had a table by the kitchen with homemade ccokies, tea, hot chocolate, and other snacks as well to nibble on in case you got hungry. They chat with you and actually want to get to know who you are. They make the atmosphere so home like. The grounds were amazing. There is literally a "little river" running behind the house where you can sit in adirondack chairs and enjoy the scenery. They provide you with so many details on different things that you can do either in town or out of town. I definitely recommend this place and I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
We stayed at the Little River Bed & Breakfast last weekend, and it exceeded our expectations. Rob and Paula were excellent hosts and the breakfast and snacks were great. I would recommend you stop reading reviews, and just book it! You won't be disappointed :-)

Yelp
This is one of the best B&B's ever! If you're in the Peterborough area you definitely want to stay here. Paula and Rob are most gracious hosts. They truly make you feel at home from the moment you arrive. It's quaint and charming yet everything has been modernized for luxurious comfort. They put a lot of attention to all the details. Paula is an awesome chef and incredible baker. They both are so easy to talk to and gave us great recommendations for hikes, food, etc. Lovely views of the river to sit and enjoy a glass of wine and relax. Highly recommend!
