It was a paradise, turquoise water, white sand, blue sky, white clouds. The weather was perfect. BBQ served on the beach. A chance to see stingrays. No birds to view at this time. Chicken was running about.

Also known as Half Moon Cay, this is a tiny private island in the Bahamas, and probably one of the most beautiful islands in the region as well. The water at the beach is a clear crystal blue and the sand is soft and fun to walk on. There are a lot of activities here as well such as stingray watching, boating, and snorkelling. This may not be the best place to shop though for souvenirs because they’re a bit pricey. Island is also known for birds although I mostly saw chickens and roosters.

This beach literally has the finest sand of anywhere I have ever been in the world. The water is incredible both in color and temperature. This is truly paradise incarnate!

The name is Little Salvador Island, but it’s also known as Half Moon Cay. This is the second time my wife and I have been, and it’s an awesome Island. The water is the most beautiful see through blue. It’s a private island, but probably one of our favorites. There is also sting ray watching, snorkeling and boating, but we like to spend all of our time on the beach soaking it in!

Half Moon Cay is located in the Bahamas on Little San Salvador Island. With its white sandy beaches and cerulean blue waters, Half Moon Cay is owned and operated by Carnival Cruises. Less than 4 square miles, patrons are transported ashore on small tenders. Enjoy plenty of activities, such as but not limited to watersports, Sea-Doos, swimming, sunbathing, horse back riding, renting personal cabanas, swimming with the stingrays. Fun stuff!

Family cruise to the Bahamas over summer. Half Moon Cay ..... It was the absolute best part of our entire trip. It was not crowded at all. The weather was perfect. The water was so clean and clear, and felt wonderful. I literally stayed in the water for over an hour. I remember I had one of those moments where time stood still, taking in my surroundings in a snapshot. I remember floating in the water, watching the clouds pass by, while out of the corner of my eye seeing the cruise ship off in the distance. Kind of surreal, and I thought this feels like a dream! Wonderful place!

Half Moon Cay is hands down the best beach I’ve ever visited on a cruise. The crystal-clear, vibrant blue water is absolutely stunning, and the soft, walkable sand adds to the experience. There’s plenty of seating available, but limited shade, so I highly recommend reserving an umbrella or clamshell before your cruise—they go fast!

My most favourite spot to relax by ocean side. Sand is soft and smooth, water is clear blue, the island has beach volleyball, basketball nets, and of course, anything water sports I'm a beach bum
