Little Shophouse is a hidden gem among the busy boutiques of Arab street district. The shop is easy to pass by, but it is a must place to visit if you are looking for authentic gifts and unique keepsakes. Robert, the owner is a beautiful and kind soul, he filled the shop with everything from beautiful Peranakan porcelain pieces to vintage collectibles to hand painted illustrations of old Singapore to exquisite handmade jewelry. The list can go on and on. You must look around, there are vintage gems and some antiques everywhere. This shop is also great of you are looking for a simple souvenir with a soul. There are no $2 plastic keys chains here, luckily. The overall price point is very friendly on the wallet.
Lastly, I must mention the hand beaded shoes that Robert creates (and also teaches the class) - the shoes are to die for: open back loafers created in the most beautiful color combinations, using great quality materials. The shoes are a bit pricey, but cost much lower than the designer ones. The quality and design surpasses branded versions. If quality and authenticity are important to you, definitely stop by the Little Shophouse!
