If you are expecting authentic Indonesian food, or even something that resembles Southeast Asian cuisine. YOU ARE IN THE WRONG PLACE. But hey, we are in Canada, so can’t have that high of expectations right? Fine, so what if we are judging this as a Canadian-Indonesian fusion? YOU ARE STILL IN THE WRONG PLACE. Lol
Now, onto the food. The Nasi Goreng? No wok hei, no aroma, and barely any seasoning. Want a quick summary? White rice with some color. That’s it.
Then the satays—presentation looked okay, but that’s where the positives end. Bland, lacking any depth or aromatic appeal (especially the shrimps… $10 for two “tiger” shrimps, more like “tiny” shrimps), and certainly not the kind of appetizer that builds excitement for the mains. (Thankfully, I didn’t order one)
And you might be wondering: why am I wasting five minutes of my life writing this? Because I was expecting, at the very least, for the server to ask, “How was the food?” so I could give honest feedback. But I guess customer opinions don’t matter here.
Welp.
