Is Little Tree a bookstore with a café, or a café that happens to sell books? Hard to tell, and that’s part of its charm. The boundaries blur here: the street drifts in, and the café spills out, echoing Athens’ love of thresholds that merge public and private space.
Recommended by our host, Little Tree was the perfect place to pause near the Acropolis for our family holiday: local, shaded, unhurried. We were seated at the built-in window seat, half inside, half out, ideal for sipping a cappuccino and watching the city go by.
Excellent coffee, fresh orange juice, yummy sandwiches, and shelves of books to browse. What’s not to love? 🌿☕📚
