Little Water Cay (Iguana Island)

Didn’t see any iguanas but such a magical island to visit. The water was crystal clear. We stopped here for an hour during our Lady Grace catamaran tour and it felt like a private island oasis.

Little Water Cay, Turks and Caicos — AKA IGUANA ISLAND!!! The name says it all an island full of iguanas! But don’t let that scare you off it’s still absolutely beautiful and such an unforgettable experience. My girls were loving it… until the iguanas started walking toward them…hilarious! Had to capture their reactions on video! It’s not for the faint of heart, but if you’re up for a little adventure (and maybe making a few scaly new friends), this place is a must-visit. We conquered the island and came back with wild memories. Definitely recommend!

Stopped here on a snorkeling tour . Very beautiful there and yes the iguanas came out and I was able to get some pictures.

Iguana island is spectacular. An uninhabited island with nothing around but nature and lizards. They are super friendly and will run towards you to greet you. Don’t be scared, they are just inquisitive and perhaps expect a treat. Beautiful beach there as well

We kayaked out to the Iguana Island because we wanted the experience of kayaking and to see the little iguana friends. It was definitely worth the trip. It took us about 45 minutes (in choppy weather) to reach the island. Once there, we were greeted by a man asking for our passes (provided by Big Blue Unlimited) for the island ($10). Evidently though, to head to the north part of the island, they charge an additional $5, so it is worth it to have a little bit of cash on hand. We didn't actually see anybody taking money and walked all the way to Half Moon Bay Beach.

Great place to visit! It's neat being so close to the iguanas and there is a nice wooden walkway throughout the island. We had a tour through Caribbean Cruisin and they did a wonderful job!

Awesome island! We kayaked to Iguana Island and loved the wildlife we saw on the way (lemon sharks, turtles, starfish, etc.)! Once in the island it was not long before we came upon dozens of iguana. They are used to tourist feeding them so if you want to see them up close for a few seconds, throw them any kind of food. We saw a tour guide through grapes, strawberries, and watermelon.

So much fun exploring and learning about the endemic iguanas of Turks & Caicos! Great for kids and adults.
