We started the trail quite late, around 3 PM, and according to the AllTrails app, it was supposed to take 4–6 hours. Well, we kept a moderate pace and finished in just 3 hours and 15 minutes—before it even got dark! I’d say we’re pretty experienced hikers, mostly from the European Alps, so it felt manageable. There are a few tricky spots with big rocks where you need to do a bit of climbing, but nothing too challenging. The whole place is absolutely stunning and definitely worth a visit! When we arrived, there were a few cars in the parking lot, but surprisingly, we didn’t meet a single person in the canyon. That made it feel a bit eerie at times—it’s definitely not a crowded trail, and in some sections, you can go quite a while without seeing anyone. All in all, an amazing experience!

First slot canyon and of the best hikes we had! The kids loved it, it was their highlight. The trail is 8 mile loop all together, 0.5 mile access walk than it starts to get narrow and fun, we walked around 2 mile in and back, so we enjoyed the canyon adventure twice. It was nice and mostly shaded. Highly recommended, well worth it!

Maybe the highlight of my trip to Moab and national parks. Knew I wanted to do it and wasn't sure if it would be scary or difficult having never been to a slot canyon. We went pretty far until we had to climb over rocks and squeeze in between others. A narrow section we had to go under a guy between 2 walls. Crazy. Then we turned around. This could be a day we spent a few hours. Don't go if it rains.

I have hiked the Little Wild Horse & Bell Canyon loop many times. This is a beautiful hike that gives you a great introduction into slot canyons. The only problem that I have with this hike is the high quantity of people that come here. The last time I went I got stuck behind some big families with both very young kids and very old grandparents in the group. It started to feel more like I was stuck in a line at Walmart than hiking in a beautiful slot canyon.

This review is for Little Wild Horse Canyon & Bell Canyon Loop which was a ~8.1 miles round trip that took ~4 hours to complete. Started the loop by going clockwise. Quite a bit of rock scrambling and a couple sketchy descents closer to Little Wild Horse Canyon. In addition, there were a few spots in Little Wild Horse Canyon that were extremely narrow and tight to maneuver. Trail was mostly flat and sandy. Overall, Stunning views of the slot canyons! Short video of the hike for those interested! https://youtu.be/0aHmkQKQ2vI

Great hike! We took two dogs and they could do the entire hike with the exception of one part where we had to lift them up. Very narrow at some spots on the Little Wild Horse Canyon side but pretty open on the Bell Canyon side.

Definately a place not to miss out on. Don't go in July, it may not be as enjoyable. If you go and hike the Wild Horse and Bell Canyon loop, don't miss the cabin. It's full of old mining relics.

This wonderful hidden gem is truly hidden. Location is right before you reach Goblin Valley State Park (NOT the gravel road that Google Maps will take you- unless you have a VERY robust vehicle), you will see a sign that says “Little Wild Horse Canyon” that will lead you to the trailhead. It’s about 0.5 or 0.75 miles until you reach the first bit of narrow canyon. We only hiked the first section as the rest were flooded from previous rainfall, so about 2 miles round trip, and it was totally worth it! I still felt like we got the whole slot canyon experience. It was beautiful. We went on a Sunday afternoon around 4pm in July and we were (surprisingly!) the only ones there. One of my favorite Utah hikes (including the Zion ones!). Highly worth a stop if you’re coming from Zion, Bryce Canyon, or Capitol Reef on your way to Moab. Probably only about an hour or half an hour out of your way.
