"The exterior of littleSpoon has that posh Myers Park look, but step inside and it's like you've been transported to Brooklyn. The restaurant has cornered the market on hip with its exposed brick walls, Edison bulb bell jar chandeliers, and industrial touches. The brunch menu contains clever twists on Southern dishes with some modern selections thrown in (quinoa porridge). This is the kind of place where you can be virtuous with avocado toast or go all out with the Breakfast of Champions, a bonanza of cornbread, fried chicken, gravy, and eggs." - Nancy DePalma

The cutest brunch spot. Perfect atmosphere for brunch with the girls. Lovely mix of natural and cozy warm light. I LOVE their k-town tot bowl, their tots in general are amazing too. They’ve got a nice menu where I’m sure nearly everything I order will be good. Service leaves a little to be desired, have had to wait a while to get our check. I’ve gone once during their usual business hours and they were closed. No note on the door and we checked their social media but they hadn’t posted anything, nor was it mentioned on google or apple maps that they’d be closed that day. Great food, vibes, and coffee but the service could do with some work.

This place is a must go, for sure. If you want to go solo or as a group, then what are you waiting for. The menu might not be big, but it really packs a punch. The ingredients are fresh, and you can tell once you receive your order. The bright and fresh ingredients pair well with any drink on the menu. The portions are awesome, and if you don't finish, then you have a choice to take it home in an environmentally friendly to go box. The location is very classic, and you will have a choice to eat indoors or outdoors.

Google
Good experience overall, my fiesta bowl was very tasty, the chicken biscuits were very tender although the pickle flavor was overwhelming, the SEC was good, a bit small. The coffees are very large and tasty. The chairs are a bit uncomfortable, small sitting area. Service was quite good. Parking is in the back or garage below, a bit complicated.

The atmosphere is pretty dope. Quaint but welcoming. The service was swift and efficient. I got the K-Town Tot Bowl which I would prefer rice over the tater tots but that house queso for the dish is delicious (and I’m not much of a queso guy). And I had this drink called Aperol Spritz (a sparkling wine) which was aight. Would suggest it if you like sparkling wine that isn’t too sweet.

This was a bummer. We are new to the neighborhood and wanted to try this as something walkable. Menu looked interesting and ambience seemed quaint at first glance. First red flag was there were only 3 other patrons at 11am on a Saturday. Floors were sticky/dirty, tables and windowsills were likewise (had to ask the server to wipe down the table after we seated ourselves). Unfortunately it looks like the owner hasn’t been there in some time (or the area health inspector), as I doubt this would be acceptable to either. Looks like a place that has potential but lacks someone who cares about it. Food was ok but seemed a bit overpriced for what it was ($50 for two breakfast sandwiches, a bowl of coffee -yes, served in a bowl- and a Diet Coke). Really bummed, could be a great go-to neighborhood spot for us, but we won’t be returning.

We enjoyed the variety of unique menu items and excellent service. We celebrated our friend’s birthday with Sunday brunch. Everyone loved what they had, and the food did not take long to arrive. We were pleasantly surprised and will return!

Google
I had high expectations for this place but sadly I would never come back again. The The water cups were really dirty and nasty that my friend and I didn’t drink any water the whole time. The service was horrible. The food came out really slow and it was really really oily(they tasted good but seems very unhealthy, the rice was soaked in oil). The portion of the food was really small too. Disappointed.

Honestly, I almost didn't want to bring my bestie here based on the last few reviews. BUT I'm glad we did! The food and drinks are delicious. We ate with our forks (no spoons here) and our eyes. Bestie got the fried rice bowl, and I got the hash. Our food was fresh, hot, and full of flavor. My sunny side up egg was cooked well and just the right amount of runny. Our drinks were served hot and cold. I got spiked coffee, and she got a cocktail with freshly muddled fruit. The coffee bowl was unique but just right for sipping. The fresh outdoor atmosphere and classic hip-hop music set the tone for a great Sunday chill spot. The servers were friendly and helpful. It's clear they aren't fully staffed, but the teamwork was making the dream work. My 2 negatives are the lack of signs for parking and the location of the restroom. It appears you'll have to hike it to park, but you don't. The restrooms at the front with the waiting area are just awkward. Walking over people to go potty ain't it. Since I spent most of my time dancing and eating, I didn't really care. If want a good brunch served to a good beat, this place will hit the spot.

Yelp
I got the OG bacon, egg, and cheese on a bun. Not the best I've had but not the worst. I would lean more to better than average, but it's your typical breakfast sandwich. The bacon is pretty thick, and they give you a lot which is nice. The Korean Brussels was the star of the meal. They were rich but so worth it.

Yelp
This place is a vibe. I went on Valentine's Day and enjoyed the music, food and service. We found free parking behind the restaurant. The server was pleasant and provided great service. I had a breakfast salad (can't remember the name) and French toast which is a must have when you visit. I also had a caramel latte which was tasty and came in a bowl (be prepared to drink with two hands) I will definitely be back.

Yelp
I cannot say enough about LittleSpoon. The decor and atmosphere was bright and inviting. The staff and customers were friendly and happy. It was a vibe. Now the start of the show, the food! Everything and I do mean everything was delicious. I will definitely be back!

Yelp
- The "freshly squeezed" orange juice was $5 but didn't taste like it was in fact, freshly squeezed. We then saw the lady at the bar pouring tropicana into a mimosa . I'm happy to pay $5 for a glass of quality orange juice but that much for Tropicana seems ridiculous. - they didn't have jelly/jam which felt weird for a brunch place - when the food was ready, it sat at the counter (where we could see it) for multiple minutes while our waiter sat talking to the manager OVER our food. I'm trying not to think about how gross that is. - the food was also overpriced for the quality. Overall, won't be coming back.

Yelp
I was very disappointed with this spot. It was on my list for a bit and happen to be in the area so I thought why not? Ordered an Irish coffee and a macchiato. The Irish coffee had no cream on top even though the description said that and is probably one of the worst Irish coffee I've ever tried. The macchiato was okay but nothing to write home about. To start off, I got the cinnamon toast which was one of the more exciting items I wanted to get. Unfortunately, I was not very impressed. Everything on the menu was very overpriced and for the quality of the first three items that came out I felt like I didn't want to take a chance with anything else.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped in a whim since we were in the area. Things to note there is ample seating, and it has a nice aesthetic. Now we enter the buts... I would never complain if a menu item is priced accordingly, especially if its flavor is amazing. But in this case, the ham and cheese sandwich is truly basic for the exception of the ham used and bread being fresh. The cheddar cheese overpowers everything, and It had me wishing there was more ham on the sandwich to balance out the bitterness of the cheddar used. My husband's spicy chicken sandwich was subpar, and the only thing he appreciated was that the chicken itself was juicy. The coffee I had was ok, I guess, but it was not my favorite in flavor. Service was beyond slow. It took over 15 min after being seated to even get a glass of water or a drink order. My review does not reflect the waitress as she was truly trying hard with so many tables having to attend. I appreciated that the manager was helping his staff the best he could with serving prepared food. My overall experience is I wouldn't return because I know there are better places that aren't over pricing items and make sure the food has a definite great flavor profile.

Yelp
Apparently, getting into restaurants is very difficult in Charlotte because many places don't take reservations and it's first come, first serve. This poses a challenge for a multitude of reasons, but I guess, this is the nature of the city, so after Church on Sunday, we were having a hard time finding somewhere to eat when one of us recommended Little Spoon. We called and their wait was pretty reasonable. About 40 minutes. We headed over there, and it was a cute little brunch spot. On the outside looking in, it seemed more of a cafe spot and very casual, but they do have a large menu with lots of options. We had a large party of nine people, so we got a table outside. Thankfully, it was warm outside so it worked in our favor. Our waiter was very nice and attentive, especially with our party size. For brunch I had the tater tot bowl with braised short ribs and kimchi. I also ordered a side of Brussel sprouts. For a drink, I had a hot chocolate with caramel and oat milk. This was served in a small bowl which was different. I really enjoyed that, but thought the bowl I ordered was just ok. The kimchi didn't seem very fresh, and the beef was unseasoned. I kept adding salt and pepper to it to give it some flavor. The Brussel sprouts were also OK. It had gochuchang sauce mixed in which felt like it was tossed on top as opposed to being marinated in. However, they had a good playlist of songs. Most were throwback R&B/hip hop songs which seemed ironic for Sunday morning brunch, but it did create a nice and nostalgic vibe.

Yelp
Another nice restaurant with nice people and nice staff. I had breakfast today with my boss here per my suggestion, and he really liked it. Thank you, LittleSpoon! The menu has a good and delicious variety and the coffee is great. Common areas and restrooms are clean. Parking outside is reserved for costumers of the shops around, but there is plenty of free parking INSIDE the parking garage, so watch out for that. Overall, you can count on me as a regular, LittleSpoon!

Dillon J.

Yelp
This place has gone way down hill and needs a complete overhaul or be closed asap. It's dirty, the staff couldn't care less and the food was extremely basic. Not too mentioned we ordered two breakfast items and three drinks for $62!!!! Don't go

Nancy T.

Yelp
This food reminded me of Swanson TV dinners from the 70s. They were packaged fine, the temperature was fine, and they were just unappealing and flavorless. I wish I had something positive to say, but they were just not good. There was this super gross breakfast meat that even my cat rejected. On top of that, they were able to use an invalid card to charge me a second time.

Madeline W.

Yelp
Let me start by saying that while the food was good (a little overpriced though), I would never come back here because the service was SO BAD. From the minute we walked into the restaurant we got the vibe that no one who worked there wanted to be there. The business hours for the restaurant were until 3 pm but they put the closed sign up at 1:30 and turned away the people that came in behind us. We put in our food orders and our food sat in the window for awhile before it was brought out (the restaurant was not busy) and our waitress never came back to check on us. Our water glasses were never refilled and we never saw our waitress again until it was time to pay. Pretty sure everyone who worked there was smoking weed in the back based on the smell when we left. They were not letting anyone sit at the bar and they were closing down the restaurant when we left at 2pm. Big yikes.

Patricia U.

Yelp
The food was good, it was definitely a satisfying breakfast/brunch. The service was good as well, just a bit understaffed for a holiday. One person was handling it all: host, waiter, bringing checks, moving tables. The ambience was nice, organic/ industrial.

Cara P.

Yelp
The only reason they are getting three stars and not two is because the service was great. Super sweet staff! Best thing I had was the mimosa and that's not saying much because it was not sweet enough. When you first look at the menu, your mouth can't help but water but man oh man...food was pretty bad. Go Nuts were not sweet and the grilled cheese had an odd flavor. Tots were spot on and my friend liked the fried rice. I won't be back unless the menu changes

Michelle F.

Yelp
Lovely little spot with delicious coffee that provides milk alternatives and delicious breakfast options for a lot of different dietary needs. I had the fiesta bowl and it was alright but for me I could have used more spice and the sausage was dry. My date's avocado toast was very fresh and good and we had a nice little corner to chat with great service from the server. The server recommended some other things to try next time but I think I may more lean towards their delicious coffee since the food seems a bit overpriced for me for the portion size/lack of flavor.

Mariele B.

Yelp
This place should be called littleDISAPPOINTMENT because that's what it is. If you like expensive, bland, mediocre food and terrible service then this is the place for you. Servers barely acknowledge you. I couldn't even get my glass of water refilled once - even while sitting at the bar area, which the entire staff spent most of their time gathered around chatting and ignoring customers. Not appropriate or appreciated when you've got customers who haven't been given menus or are waiting over 30 min for food.... The food and drinks we had were horrible. Sweet tea might as well have just been syrup on ice, it was undrinkable. The cappuccino we got, which, not even sure to call it that honestly, came out in a huge latte mug? So just a huge cup of steamed milk basically. We waited 20 min just to get water and utensils. During a pretty slow morning with only a few customers, you think they'd be a bit quicker to service the customers they did have. Food was bland - the breakfast burrito and chicken biscuit had no flavor, seasoning, or sauces. Neither is worth a fraction of what they're charging you. French toast sticks weren't bad, but truly tasted like cornbread with syrup on them? Weird and gritty consistency. The best part of this dining experience was when the bill came....$76. LOL. For what's being advertised vs the actual experience, this is the most overpriced let down of a restaurant in Charlotte. There's way better options around for half the price. Save your money and don't waste your time on this place.

Hunter H.

Yelp
Stay away. Had this place today, and I normally write only nice reviews: but this is a public service announcement. The coffee is served in soup bowls. No: it's not quaint. Science suggests larger surface areas exposed to lower temperatures than the coffee will result in a more rapid cooling. I can conclude: the coffee does, in fact, go cold fast. And the bowls look like a method I would use to feed my dog. I contemplated lapping it up with my tongue because holding a bowl to my face with two hands seemed more comical. The food was bland, and WAY over priced. $13 for the most basic egg, bacon, and cheese sandwich you will ever eat. And there is no side. No hash-browns, tots, hard fruit cup, or even a sad wilted arugula salad. Nothing but a very basic sandwich with a dry bun that they over hyped on the menu as a "Dukes" bun. I don't know what a "Dukes" bun is, but I'll be avoiding it in the future, thank you. The service was sad. I was the only person there and they nearly forgot about me completely. The bar tender looked at me like I didn't exist and I couldn't order a thing till a waitress came to the bar to take my order. What does this bar tender do exactly? Clean glasses for all eternity like a Disney Land animatronic? I couldn't wait to get out. Tried to get someone to give me the check. I glanced at the bar tender. Nope, he was still just cleaning that glass.... So, I finally decided to pay up front. When I got to the front a couple arrived and asked what time they opened on Sunday (the next day). "10... I guess" said the hostess before turning to a man I presume was a manager, and she asked him the same question. "I don't know. Nine... I think". What!?! You don't even know what time you open on a Sunday?! If your brain exploded would it even mess up your hair? The only people who wanted to get out of there faster than me was the staff - as it was clear no one cared. From the front of house to the sad sap who made the pathetic excuse of the $13 sandwich to the bar tender who had less animation than I've seen in a corpse, no one, save the waitress who took my order, gave a d@mn. Advise to management. Reduce your prices, fix your menu, promote the waitress to manager (she's the only person who cared at all), and give a rats @$$ about your customers. This has been a public service broadcast.

Jessica G.

Yelp
I'm sadly updating my previously 5 star review to reflect new pricing and menu items. This is the second time in about a year they have raised their prices, and the new menu is missing some of my personal favorite staples that were on the cheaper side. Now all that's left are $18 veggie burgers and $16 cocktails. The food is still pretty good (hence 3 stars instead of 2) and the staff has generally remained pretty friendly, except for one time a while back there was a barista who had really a bad attitude when I asked her to remake my latte that was more than half foam. It's a shame seeing a business I once loved fall to greed and throw out the things that made them good. This used to be one of our go-to places but now I'm not sure we'll be back very often, if at all.

Nikki G.

Yelp
Hello, Today I went to your establishment, and was excited to order your hash that I saw on your website the night before. When we got there, hash and oatmeal was not on the menu. My mother even asked the gentleman server, and was told the manager took it off the menu. The server apologize that the menu changed and it was different than what's online. He was accommodating and understanding when we told him we are just going to have our coffee and leave. He was a delight, and super nice. I wish the new options on the menu were more breakfast friendly. Thank you very much!

Evelyn H.

Yelp
Heading out for Savannah GA, but could not leave town without first stopping in for some fresh deliciousness. My Keithy had the Grits Bowl. I had the Fiesta Bowl, but I could not keep my fingers out of his bowl. The grits were nice and fluffy and really held up to its toppings. The cheddar-jalepeno biscuits were even better the second time around and I cannot get enough of that chicken chorizo sausage! Also snuck in a refreshing, boozy Cran-Mosa. Hey... it's the Holiday weekend and I'm on vacation. Next time you're searching for a great breakfast / brunch spot or if you're just passing by, stop in LittleSpoon for some Big Flavor!

Hania A.

Yelp
Well...5 years after our initial first visit here, this place has gone down hill for me. It used be excellent (food/service/vibe); however, it does not feel the same. It took me some time at the front to order since the menu on their website had different items. The gentleman at the front suggested a different similar dish, so I went with it. When it came out, it was missing some ingredients. I asked one of the workers about it - he just shrugged and said they might have been out of it (which is fine, but they could have at least notified the customer). The food temperature was a little cold on the dishes. I asked for an extra shot on the cappuccino but I'm not so sure it was added. Anyhow, I guess sadly we need to take a long break from this spot for a little while before we visit again.

Kristen N.

Yelp
Love the food, coffee, and vibes here. I usually get in quick and have enjoyed everything on the menu so far especially the breakfast burritos and oat milk lattes.

Wayne B.

Yelp
Something has changed about this place.... I haven't eaten here since before Covid and the energy is gone. The staff seemed like they weren't feeling it anymore and that's a shame.... The food was not hot and whoever is prepping and cooking up the food is definitely different. Please bring back the old LittleSpoon!

Taylor C.

Yelp
I have been coming here for years. I'm not sure what all the people who aren't from the neighborhood are complaining about? It's a good restaurant with prices that reflect the current economic environment. Every time I have been here it's been very good. I rather enjoy the "soup bowl" coffee cups lol

Sarah Beth M.

Yelp
Slow service despite only 1 other table. No wifi, which I asked for to look at photos of the menu items. Full bar and decent brunch menu. Nice servers just slow. Wifi access is easy to add and a big disappointment especially since there's no Verizon internet access at the restaurant.

Krystal M.

Yelp
Not one of my favorites. My French Toast was charred to burnt and my bacon/pork belly situations was gray and not the freshest. My husband was happy with his burger and will return for that!

Drew D.

Yelp
Atmosphere, service, and food was great! Our server gave us some good recommendations for checking out Charlotte as we are from Raleigh.

Amanda L.

Yelp
The menu is a lot smaller than the menu on the website, and the service was so slow that we left without ever ordering food. Would not recommend.

Brian C.

Yelp
Ok. I gave them 3 stars because the prices are way too high. The food is good, don't get me wrong, just not worth the price. We did get a carafe of Mimosas. Close to $100 with tip. Pictured you see the mimosas, French toast, and potatoes. The potatoes were the star of the show! It is served with 2 sauces. A garlic aioli and homemade ketchup. Homemade ketchup is a big no for me, but the aioli was delicious! The French toast brûlée was just ok. Tasted a little too burnt for my taste buds. Wasn't a huge fan of the slab of bacon. Basically, it's pork belly. A lot of fat. Better on a sandwich. It so great for a side. I probably won't go back. Charlotte has a lot of solid brunch choices.

Emily K.

Yelp
Yummy! We waited 30 minutes on a Saturday, which wasn't so bad. The wait staff is super nice and chill. I ordered the chicken sausage, cheddar and egg sandwich on sourdough. The menu says potato roll, but I wanted sourdough and they accommodated me. We got the potatoes to share which were very crispy and had a yummy homemade ketchup and onion aioli. We didn't feel rushed and could have stayed longer. Also the service was quick!

Zac R.

Yelp
Well, this restaurant is titled Little Spoon. However they should change the name to "no spoon" because that's how much of their food I wanted to eat. Have you ever drank tomato juice with a splash of vodka? Well if not, come on down to "no spoon" and try out their "refreshing" bloody Mary's. On a nice summer day, it's great to be refreshed with an ice cold glass of water. However, "no spoon" has resorted to warm tap water to give you that "refreshed" feeling. AND to add on to my no spoon experience, they falsely advertise their bacon. Slab of fatty pork belly doesn't go too well with a BLT. Overall interesting experience, but "no spoon" will not be seeing me in their doors again. Good day.

Kristen F.

Yelp
Dry. Absolutely everything was dry. The menu is so enticing and the photos are lovely, but the actual experience left MUCH to be desired. The deviled eggs are a great idea, but they crumble in your mouth like sand. The biscuits sounded phenomenal, but instead they're tiny, hard, over-baked things served with an enormous amount of super cold butter. The hash needed more than just a sunny side up egg to give the food enough dimension to really enjoy, even hot sauce could've made a save here. I can't speak for the food the other person in my party had but she wasn't impressed either. We were seated outside and I'm pretty sure our waiter forgot about us a few times. Example: One drink took multiple asks, and eventually multiple waiters, before we finally got it over 30min later. It was then left off the bill, but don't think it's because it was an apology. No. The waiter forgot, then told us multiple times he wished he could take that drink off the bill but it'd involve him going back inside and he just couldn't do it (???). An expensive dining out mistake for sure. Save your money and try elsewhere. No desire to return, but hoping others have a much better experience.

Riley K.

Yelp
Little Spoon is what happens when someone looks up the most trending food list and decides to make a menu with no thought to flavor or seasoning. Everything on the menu is a trendy combination of eye-catching ingredients like queso, kimchi, quinoa, and pork belly bacon. But in reality, everything we tried, from the deviled eggs to the veggie burger, was bland and disappointing. The veggie burger, which was 15 dollars, was just a bun with an unseasoned grain pattie, lettuce, and onion. For a location that seems to be attempting to recreate a Cali brunch experience, I would pity any vegan that had to eat that overpriced mess.

Raquel S.

Yelp
This is a cute spot for breakfast/brunch/lunch with a full bar and ample parking. The food looks great but does not necessarily deliver in execution or flavor. The chicken biscuits fell short-- biscuits were hard and dry. Let's be honest...your biscuit game needs to be strong if you want to compete in Charlotte.

Maria P.

Yelp
Decor is chic and hip making for a little more of an upscale vibe. It seems like a spot for either breakfast with your significant other or to go out with a group of your girlfriends. Menu has a lot of unique options outside of your traditional omelette. The goat cheese and chive biscuits were good. My friend and I were surprised when they came out though. They are more like mini bite sized dinner rolls. The goat cheese and chive is not a spread, I think it's used in how they make them. Drinks were good! The Bloody Mary was made with a homemade mix. I ordered the mimosa with berries , limoncello and mint. Be prepared for there to be a layer of berry seeds floating on the top. If you're on a date, be careful - you probably don't want berry seeds stuck in your teeth. Porchetta - filling and a nice option for those wanting to try something different. Cornbread was delicious!

Trent R.

Yelp
Have to stand and order before you're allowed to sit down, which is ridiculous for any restaurant, especially one on a Sunday morning when over 50% of the tables are empty. Food is mediocre, not good, not bad. The hash basically doesn't have any 'Hash' and is mostly sausage scramble, a little mis leading... Service was good, friendly workers, the only upside as far as I'm considered. We won't be returning and would not recommend.

Tran N.

Yelp
The interior was very cute and looks a little more fancy; however, there are two entrances to this location so it was confusing. I came from the backdoor and because of that I didn't really get a greeting. I had to walk to the front and then get seated. They had a long menu with no pictures so of course it was a little hard for me to choose a dish, but I ended up choosing Chipotle chili, korean brussels, and cinnamon toast brûlée. The korean brussels had a lot of flavor going on so it wasn't the best to me. Their chili was pretty good but it is a small portion. The toast was alright. Overall, the place was okay. Nothing really stood out to me and the food just didn't WOW me.

Meena P.

Yelp
On my to try brunch list for a LONG time! Such a cute indoor /outdoor place, super busy on sundays. They do not take reservations either. I called ahead and by chance when we walked in there was a table available! Sweet ! There were 7 of us so they swiftly put two tables together. Great Sunday brunch cocktails...I got the spritz. Fabulous glass ...love it. I absolutely love this drink, just a great easy sipping drink .another great one my friends got was the limossa , with lots of berries and limoncello. Delicious. Then I got a drink called Moet's kiss, which was Moët champagne on ice with mint and lemon . So yummy. In another great Moët glass! So I recommend this place already just for drinks. So food, I got the breakfast tacos, egg whites, quinoa, kale, and tomatillo salsa, yes trying to be healthy! In a corn tortilla. Actually very good, very filling and the salsa was really tasty. Other stuff the group got. The smoked salmon, on sourdough with whipped cream cheese, capers and red onion. With a boiled egg. Very good. Egg white raft, again on sourdough with whipped cream cheese, greens and salsa and salsa. Avocado toast, on sourdough with grape tomatoes, radish, herbs and tograshi. Then we also had the beat box bowl, yummy Asian flavors . Great service and such a neat place in providence area of Charlotte, lots of cool stores around. Nice outdoor seating too. Would love to come back in the summer. I need to call about where they get all their glasses from, loved them all.

Yelp
We went to this place for brunch this morning. As we walked in the manager informed us that they had no bread so the menu would be severely restricted. We decided to stay as there were available menu items that would work for us. It took close to AN HOUR to get our breakfast items- chicken biscuits, tater tots, a breakfast burrito. No one came by the table to apologize for the long wait and in fact when I went into the store to inquire about our order one of the hostesses was openly hostile and said I quote " it's taking a while" - well no kidding, I had figured that out. This same hostess when I warned another table newly seated next to us with children about the wait openly mocked me and rolled her eyes. Our server as we paid and left said they were " smoothing some rough edges". Not nice people, terrible kitchen. It ruined what I had expected to be a happy morning at brunch. I will NEVER go again and hope this review helps people understand what to expect.

Yelp
My last day in Charlotte and of course I had to do brunch with the family and my bestie. My mother wanted to try something new- Lil Spoon appeared to have options outside of your traditional grits and eggs. The location is in the same center as Mellow Mushroom. There is parking at the back of the building. The area is a little congested, and I can see it being problematic if there are a lot of patrons at the center. I went in ahead of my group to see how long the wait was. We arrived around 12:30 or so, and my party of 5 was immediately able to be seated. The staff was extremely accommodating. I advised that my 98 year old granny was in my party and they allowed us to come in through the back door. As we were entering a staff member was headed out and even held the door for us. Once in, our table was already set up for us, and we did not have to go far with granny. Big kudos for this!! Our wait staff was Anne. She was sweet and even mentioned that my granny made her think of her grandmother whom she had not seen in a number of years. We were provided with a container of water for the table, I always love this idea. No need to keep coming back to the table to refill cups of water! I also ordered the caramel latte with coconut milk. As a starter the table shared the deviled eggs. You get 5 deviled eggs, which was perfect for our group. We also ordered the French toast, the hashed and the SEC. the French toast was the winner of all of the items we tried. My mother and bestie both had the hashed, both agreed they would not re- order. They felt in needed additional flavor. The SEC was basically a chicken sausage egg and cheese sandwich. I enjoyed it, but would likely try something else on my return. I almost forgot to mention, they also accommodated my mother splitting her hashed with my granny. It came out in two dishes, already separated--- NICE!! I would love to come back to try other menu options. I like the fact that they have selections to cover a variety of dietary plans. They also have a decent selection of coffee drinks and even offer alcoholic shots as add ins!! If you are looking for a quaint spot for brunch- look no further! Not only will you be impressed with the food, but the service will exceed your expectations. ... oh yeah, the music played in the background was a score, think old school hip hip!

Yelp
Service was as bland as the food. Irish coffee was served in a soup bowl. Most mediocre experience I've had in a long time.

Yelp
This place pre-COVID was 5 stars. But now it's 3 stars. The ordering is annoying and unexpected. Upon arrival, You must scan the QR code, order what you want, and pay, all before being allowed to sit down. And your whole party has to order or else you can't sit. They don't want the food to come out staggered. The confusing part is you still have a server and can order more drinks through them. It's gives off a whole "Panera bread" vibe. Their food is good so I'll give them that. Pre-COVID there was always 90s hip hop music playing which added to the fun vibe. Not anymore.

Yelp
Had Sunday brunch here for the first time during covid, the entry was a little confusing with the entrance in the back. We ordered and paid in the back at the hostess stand using the virtual menu (scan through phone), then seat yourself. We ordered the GoNuts! DoNuts!, BFast quesadilla, Burrito Bowl (sub chicken with Avocado), everything was amazing. It came quick, the food was warm, and q Yeah amazing. The burrito bowl which i substituted the meat for avocado was really good, it is nice when you can do a sub and the dish is still really good. Overall good food, good service, good ambiance.

Yelp
I'd say 3.5 stars. The service was pretty good, the morning drinks were delicious, but our food was meh. I think we maybe ordered wrong, but that still lays claim to meh food for us. I ordered the blt... which wasn't really a blt. It was more like a pork sandwich with lettuce and tomato. If I'd known, I would have ordered something else because I'm not really into large chunks of pork. Just a preference thing. The chicken and biscuits were pretty good. But the dryness of the biscuits took over the amazingness of the chicken. The chicken was spectacular though! The deviled eggs were pretty good and I liked the 8 minute cookies (some of my party didn't). My hot chocolate was insanely delicious and kept me super warm on a cold day - love that you can spike all your drinks. Overall, not sure it was worth the price we paid, but I'm still glad we tried it.

Yelp
We have been to Little Spoon for years, since it opened. Disappointingly we had the worst experience today and do not intend to return. The front of the house did not take our order right, we requested oat milk but got almond milk. We sat on a dirty table and was given looks by the staff as we apologized for choosing that table. We did not get water during the entire service and did not get our coffee refreshed at all, despite a request and staff said ok. Food quality was mediocre. If you are looking for nice ambience, friendly service and good food on a weekend, do not recommend anyone coming here.

Yelp
So I had high hopes for Little Spoon but they were just that honestly... high hopes. I don't understand how this place was so busy with mediocre food?! I didn't get any alcohol so maybe that is the draw; because I know I personally make better brunch food myself than Little Spoon. That is a bold statement to make but I feel that strongly about the lack of flavor and creativity in their brunch. The service was good though but the wait was long!! I even over heard a waiter apologizing for the mix up and wait with other customers. We sat down and had a bacon egg and cheese biscuit and sausage egg and cheese. Something simple but should be good. With the photos of this place I was so excited when in saw the bacon. When I ate the bacon I realized it had no flavor and majority fat in it!! The cheese was bland and tasted slight old and the biscuits at bojanles are better than this place. Maybe I order the wrong thing and they have a staple dish that will blow my mind away? I can't see myself rushing back to find out what that dish is or spend more than five minute wait to taste mediocre food. There is a reason why this place has so many mixed reviews. Get back to the basics and serve better food... I will not be rushing here any time soon with a lot of really good places in Charlotte.

Yelp
We got a little bit of everything! Tator tot bowl, breakfast quesadilla, Bacon, egg, and cheese, crème brûlée French toast, French toast sticks, spiked lattes, and so much more. Everything was to die for! IF I HAD TO CHOOSE TO EAT AT ONE RESTAURANT FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE IT WOULD BE THIS ONE!

Yelp
First time to LittleSpoon and was disappointed. First impression, we walk in and rap music is playing. Not suitable for this place. The waitress was pleasant but the only one on the floor. I saw, what seemed to be the manager, in the back hiding while she was texting her phone when were leaving. There didn't seem to be any leadership while we were here and it showed with no effort to help out the waitress. I don't blame her but management for the poor service. The food had interesting concepts but the flavors fell short.

Yelp
If I could give this place, zero stars, I would. Service, terrible. Food, no flavor. Carelessness of employees, astronomical. It took two hours to get our food, 30 minutes just to get some water and one person's food was served 30 minutes before the rest of our tables. What kind of restaurant service is that? Also the waitress was rude and didn't even come to check on us did not refill water which is the easiest thing anyone could do. When questioning staff about how long we were waiting, their excuse was that they were busy and everyone else was waiting too. But when going inside the place was empty, such a joke. Also, why does it take two hours to serve tater tots to someone? Truly would be surprised if they are still in business by 2023. Don't waste your time coming here. It's definitely not worth it unless you like to wait five years to get your food, don't do it!

Yelp
We met some out of town friends here for brunch on a Sunday and there was about a 45 minute wait. The place was bumping and had a good vibe. Between the four of us, everyone liked the food they had. The staff were really nice and didn't rush us to leave as we spent some time just catching up and chatting. I ordered the #BEC (Bacon, Egg and Cheese sandwich) and the #BTF (Baked, Torn and Fried Potatoes), without the hashtags. The potatoes were crispy and delicious and the onion aioli was delightful. The sandwich was decent, the egg was cooked perfectly. They warned me about the slab bacon being more like pork belly, which I normally like, but, to me, it took away from the sandwich. Using regular salty, greasy bacon would have made it better. The coffee mugs are huge. I would definitely go back and try other things on their menu because there are so many things that look good.

Yelp
Great food...love being able to get scrambled eggs at lunch! I had the fiesta bowl (eggs, goat cheese, chicken, avocado, etc). Husband had the gold school burger. Plus tots. Enjoyed it all!
