LIV - Restaurant NL

Definitely recommend. The food was excellent, the service was amazing and the vibes were incredible. The chef definitely knows what he’s doing with these Asian inspired fusion dishes. My teenager said she’d move here for the pancake. There is nothing on the menu that I wouldn’t try. Since we were a large party you can refer to the images, each one of the dishes are shareable and incredible. This is a place I can’t wait to visit again, to take my time and really enjoy such a colourful assortment of foods and flavours. The cocktails are also incredibly unique and pair beautifully with their all star menu. We can’t wait to be in St. John’s again soon! If we can only make time for one restaurant it will be LIV every time! Thanks everyone!

Had an awesome dinner here and service was top notch. Props to staff and management who remained opened and honoured Valentines day reservations during the storm while many other businesses downtown closed. Meal was great but what really made our evening was the level of service provided (his name was Pablo, I think?) He went above and beyond to take care of us, recommended dishes + wine, and clearly cares about providing a great atmosphere for customers. Also managed to make time for conversation with ourselves and other patrons in the bar despite being the only front of house staff. Will be back for sure

Sunday night Dim Sum! The moment we walked in we felt the warmth of the decor and welcoming staff. The drinks were balanced and tasty. Cheyenne our server was amazing, very knowledgeable and personable. Now on to the food, WOW! Second time having the dim sum menu and it definitely does not disappoint. We almost tried everything on the menu but had to go back to our favourites. Our compliments to the chef ! Every dish was so flavourful and unique. 10 out of 10 would recommend !

Loved every second of our visit. The food was Korean inspired and done so well. The Bartender Megan knows how to whip together a great cocktail. We were greeted by the most friendly lady named Teresa; from start to finish a grade A experience. A must do in st John's for exceptional cocktails and great food!

Shared an entirely gluten free meal with friends. Korean chicken and charred broccoli were my favourite! Loved the basil gimlet!

I was very excited to try LIV, as the menu looked quite interesting. The space is lovely, really beautiful decor, and our waiter was very friendly and attentive. However, the food was disappointing. We went in a group, each ordering at least two things, and between us we had ordered about 3/4 of the menu options, so we really got to try most things. The food was presented well, but it was just underwhelming in flavor, one dish tasting overwhelmingly of burnt broccoli. The dishes were also quite small portions. We all left still hungry, which is saying something when you're dropping $40-$50 each on your meal. What ultimately made the experience unpleasant was that a large party arrived for what appeared to be someone's birthday, and they completely crowded about half of the restaurant, including where we were seated. They were standing inches from us, and having strangers' backsides in your face while you're trying to eat is not my idea of a good time. We couldn't wait to leave. I imagine you'd have a nice time here having drinks and a small bite on a night out, but I wouldn't recommend going if you're hungry and want a satisfying sit-down dinner.

My meal was absolutely amazing! Dan the chef, puts out some really tasty dishes. And don't get me started on the bartender, Teresa. I will be back and everyone should go there too! 10/10 thank you so much, Liv!
