I’m usually a bit of a clean freak, so I’m pretty picky when it comes to hotel cleanliness. But I was honestly blown away by how spotless everything was at Live Aqua Cancun. The attention to detail was on point, and I felt totally comfortable the whole time. If you get a chance to book the honeymoon suite, you won’t regret it! Our butlers, Ruddy and Ernesto, were amazing—they really took care of us and made sure we had everything we needed from day 1. We were definitely in good hands! All across the resort, the staff was super friendly, and it was clear they really cared about making our stay perfect. I had a chance to take a yoga class and the instructor was so good! The one person that made the activities more fun and exciting, was Ricky! He was such a fun person to have around and just spread positive attitude everywhere he went! Our favorite restaurant is MB! It was delicious! Can’t recommend this place enough!

All around great resort. This is our fifth year fifth resort and this one wins the best food. From breakfast to snack bars to dinner it was an easy winner, best voted food from our group. Staff was great, from day one you felt like you were already building relationships. Only two downfalls, two of our mornings our showers were very cold and the swim up bar is very quiet. Our preference is a lot more out going and party music. The music played seemed like music they play throughout the whole resort during the day. Our all time favorite appetizer before dinner was Sushi! Carlos Gonzales was the best.

From check in to check out the whole trip was an absolute pleasure. The restaurants are fabulous with little to no wait. The Auqua Live staff is the best I’ve experienced. They do an excellent job at making every attempt to make your trip as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. Not only are they excellent, but most importantly they are genuine in their kindness. The resort and rooms are clean and beautiful. I love the several pool options. One of my favorite amenities that I have not seen at other resorts was having bed options on both the pool deck and ocean shore. There are several cabanas to rent but also several beds available for those who don’t want to rent a cabana.

This is a great adults only getaway. The food is great and the beach is very nice. Four pools and clean rooms, what more can you ask for. A little lacking in the extra entertainment but if you can be creative there is always something to do. We will definitely be coming back.

My girlfriend and I just returned from a week at Live Aqua Cancun. Our stay was nothing short of AMAZING! Everything about this place was top notch. The service, the food, the location, the rooms...Just an incredible experience overall. The entire staff goes above and beyond to make your stay the best it can be. I will never stay anywhere else in Cancun! Paying a little more for staying at this first class, ultra all-inclusive adults only resort was worth it 100%! Thank you for the best week ever! 🩷

Google
Our recent stay at Live Aqua was fantastic- with special thanks to our butlers, Maggie & Eladio! They were super helpful with multiple daily check-ins and accommodating any requests/ questions that we had. The weather was perfect and we spent most of the week at a mezzanine cabana or in the infinity pool. Maria was such a friendly cabana server our first day, and David was top-notch as our primary cabana server the rest of our stay- we were so happy to see him again after meeting him last year.||Room: We tried to book the same Viento suite as last year, and were slightly disappointed upon check-in since last year’s Viento suite was much larger with two showers, and had far more balcony space- plus a terrace. We didn’t spend that much time in the room of course, so not a big deal!||Pools: All of the pools were clean, never felt crowded, and the pool activities were entertaining. The wait time for cabana check-in was pretty long each morning; we had the same cabana reserved every day since it was included in the suite package; it would have been helpful if this wait time could be avoided since reservations were already made in advance.||Food and drink: The restaurant and bar services were all outstanding, the food and beverages were delicious. We especially loved Azur, Sea Corner, and AKA Bar!

We had a wonderful weekend stay at this beautiful resort. The service and hospitality is always top-notch. We stayed at many other places in the last 20 years and nothing compares to Live Aqua. From the moment we checked in, until the moment we checked out, it was simply paradise! We spent most of our time during the day at the pool.. I can't say enough good things about the servers who work tirelessly in the hot sun to make sure our stay is simply the best. ||We really enjoyed having the Butler's who attend to any issues you might have. They are quick to offer assistance with anything we needed. I want to personally thank Arturo and Stephanie for all your hard work.||David at breakfast! You are the best, we appreciate your kindness!||Héctor (AKA bar) our favorite bartender was moved to another area of the resort. We really missed him! We were pretty bummed that we didn't get to enjoy his company during the time we were there. The AKA bar is simply not the same without him. We really hope to see him when we return in April, as he has been the highlight of our previous trips.||I want to also thank the following people, Jonathan C, Ashley G, Graciel M, Guillermo, Alfredo S, and the rest of you for everything you do for us during our stay!||Once again thank you to all the hard-working people who make the wheels of this resort go round and round. Bless you all and see you soon!

This was our first time at Live Aqua and we cannot say enough about this resort. My husband and I stayed in the premium king oceanfront room with the butler service. Ernesto, our main butler, was outstanding! Kind, extremely responsive and helpful! He made our trip a once in a lifetime experience! He ensured we had coffee each morning and that all reservations were set each day! Food was outstanding, especially breakfast at Azur and dinner at MB. Do yourself and visit the spa, the deep tissue massage was the best I’ve ever had. We booked a cabana by the swim up pool. The head massage and foot massage was fantastic! We had food delivered to the cabana and it was the picture of indulgence. The service in the resort was outstanding. This was our first time here and it will certainly not be our last! Do yourself a favor and head to Live Aqua Cancun without your kids and reconnect with your partner, you won’t regret it!

Yelp
Wonderful experience make sure to check out Marco with the smoothie station. Pool games were fun and the customer service was second to none . I will be going back with my family

Yelp
This is a review of our 5 Day, 4 Night stay at Live Aqua Cancún.b Service: The overall service was exceptional, a 5 Star experience, the staff is extremely attentive to the customer needs, always willing to go the extra step to ensure a great stay. Everyone was very helpful, making recommendations, ensuring everything was perfect or as close as it could be. Nearly all the staff spoke English or could quickly get someone to translate. Upon arrival we were met at the front door, staff Welcomed us, secured our luggage and escorted us to the front desk. We quickly got checked in and were escorted to our room, after an unfortunate delay. The only negative was the staff member with Fiesta Americana, she was initially very helpful, explaining the resort layout, pools, restaurants, activities, etc. I had commented several times it was a long day, we both were hungry and really wanted to get settled in. Instead we got the sales pitch regarding their membership club. Honestly, if that chat had not happened and it could have happened organically it would've gone much differently. Accommodations: The rooms are well maintained, very clean, with a modern feel. They provide each guest with a bathrobe, slippers, there is a pool bag and a rubber duck, you can keep the duck and slippers. There is a mini fridge that is stocked daily, and if you ask for something specifically, the staff will gladly ensure you have it. The only negative was our room was located on the mezzanine level, above the night club, so we heard that each evening. This might not bother someone visiting for the night life, that just isn't us. Restaurants/Dinning: When we arrived, we were both hungry and unfortunately because of the forementioned delay we ended up at the Sea Corner restaurant, as they were preparing to close. It apparently was the only thing still open, so it was our only option at that time. I ordered the fish and octopus tacos, it was very disappointing and we did not give it a second look on this trip. For breakfast, we primarily ate at the Siete buffet, which has an assortment of options. We especially enjoyed the freshly made omelette or scramble, along with toast and yogurt. One of the truly enjoyable experiences both from an entertainment aspect as well as flavor was the smoothie station. There are so many options, so we simply said I would like something like and just let the staff do their magic. We did also have breakfast one morning at Azur, I had the chicken waffles and she had the big cakes breakfast. It was good, but honestly, the buffet was better due to the options available. For lunch we tried and found to be the best food we ate on our visit was at the barbecue available mid day just off the Main pool area. They offered barbecue ribs, chicken and chorizo, along with steamed vegetables, white rice, and a salad bar, absolutely awesome. We tried the Sushi Station one evening, it was OK, she wouldn't eat it. It was comparable to supermarket sushi. So we also tried the room service, the pizza was not good, undercooked. The Chicken Club sandwich was again OK. MB was our last night dinner experience, it was also extremely good, the food was all amazing, you must try the habanero soup, has a hint of heat, but mostly great flavor. The filet mignon and salmon steak were perfectly prepared with exceptional flavor. As this is an included restaurant with the stay, I could easily see it being a nightly experience. Unfortunately, we didn't get to try Varenna the Italian restaurant or Azur for dinner. Hopefully on our next visit, Carnivore is not included in the resort package, we thought about going one night but chose MB instead, best decision for the cost (included so no extra) Pools and Ocean: They have a total of seven pools, each having a slightly different temperature. The Infiniti pool looks out over the beachfront and ocean, it was slightly cooler than the Main pool, still very comfortable. The Main pool stretches the length in front of the resort, it felt warm almost like bath water. There is a pool bar off one side, with music at times, it was normally crowded. They have several activities throughout the day in the main pool, such as pool fitness or bingo, led by resort staff. One evening they had a Circus show with a Buffet Dinner, greatly enjoyed the show, missed the dinner but it looked good. During our stay, it was what they call red flag days, not really sure what that means because we saw several people going into the ocean, and the lifeguard simply watched to ensure nothing bad happened. The beach itself is a beautiful white sand, extremely well maintained and free of seaweed or any debris. Sorry unable to add pictures, I have tried for 3 days.

Yelp
"Paradise Found! We just returned from an unforgettable stay at this stunning beachfront resort in Cancun, and we're already planning our next visit! Our suite's breathtaking views of the turquoise ocean were the perfect start to our day. The exceptional service began from the moment we arrived, thanks to our incredible butlers, Sakny and Viri. They catered to our every need, making our stay truly unforgettable. The mini-bar and 24-hour room service were the icing on the cake! We indulged in delicious meals at Azul, MB and the Hidden Garden. One of our favorite spots to eat ended up being a BBQ set up by the pool. Jose was manning the grill and we couldn't get enough of his mouth-watering BBQ ribs! Marcos and Maria ensured our glasses were always full by the pool and beach. What truly impressed us was the consistently exceptional service throughout the resort. Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to make our stay special. This resort has earned a loyal spot in our hearts, and we can't wait to return. If you're looking for a luxurious beach getaway in Cancun, look no further!"

Yelp
We had an unforgettable stay at Live Aqua, earning every bit of its five-star rating! From the moment we arrived, the exceptional service truly stood out. Our butler was fantastic--always available to assist with reservations and provide valuable information about the hotel and local attractions. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, making us feel right at home. A special shoutout to Marco at the smoothie counter! His delightful personality and delicious creations were a highlight of our mornings. The resort's white sand beaches were immaculate, with minimal seaweed, thanks to the diligent cleaning staff. The mesmerizing turquoise water added to the overall beauty of the surroundings, creating a perfect tropical paradise. We loved our oceanfront room, which featured a beautiful balcony where we could relax and soak in the stunning views. As an extra special touch, the hotel surprised us with a lovely graffiti artwork in our room to celebrate our babymoon. It was such a thoughtful gesture that made our stay even more memorable. Overall, Live Aqua exceeded our expectations in every way. We can't wait to return!

Yelp
My wife and I returned after 8 years and we had a wonderful relaxing time. There are some changes from our last visit so I will be succinct. Service: From the concierge to servers/bartenders and rest of the staff, everyone here is amazing. Very friendly and more English spoken then I remember. I used WhatsApp to message Monserrat (concierge) who helped me arrange many things and she was fantastic. Spa: Excellent massages and hydrotherapy. My wife said "just as good as Canyon Ranch"... If you know, you know. Room: Our room was spacious, clean, and we were very happy there. Comfy bed and a beautiful view. We took advantage of their one free bottle of champagne per stay as well. My only minor gripe is that the water pressure from the rainfall shower was pretty weak. Noise: Our last stay here was quite peaceful and quiet for the most part. Now there are a lot more activities (pool bingo) and parties that can last till 1am. You can hear the pool music on the beach, which isn't bad, but not exactly what we wanted. If you are into planned activities and partying (most are) this is a good place for you. Our room was on the 3rd floor and my wife is very sensitive to noise so she had trouble sleeping. She also goes to bed around 830pm so it's also her fault. Drinks: Anything we asked for that they had we got in a timely fashion. There are a lot of options. However, since they are making a ton of drinks constantly they aren't shaking/mixing cocktails like you would get at a cocktail bar. I suggest the G&T or spicy marg. Food: Our previous time here we raved about the food and it was one of the many reasons to return. This visit were we a bit underwhelmed. The steak at MB was excellent and this was our best meal (breakfast was always awesome) of our trip. Their dress code of slacks for men (when women can wear shorts) is a bit odd but we rolled with it. We wished for more clarity of when restaurants would be open/closed, since you would go to one and you never knew if it would be open. I was really hoping for more/better Mexican food. There was a taco stand but it was only open for 30 minutes. The rest was burgers, Italian, and continental which were all fine but nothing amazing. I suspect this is what tourists want, food they can get anywhere... Overall we really enjoyed our time at Live Aqua and would definitely come back!

Yelp
Loooved my time here! The resort was the perfect size. Some are just too massive and it's hard to get around. I was very pleasantly surprised by the food. It was good for being an all inclusive. The drinks were good and not watered down. We also paid extra for access to the special lounge where you can get premium alcohol. I think this was worth it because I wanted my Don Julio that I couldn't get anywhere else. Unfortunately, I cannot recall the name of the gentleman that did the pool activities, but he was great. He led the water aerobics classes and bingo at the pool. He was so sweet and funny. The servers at the pool were great. Very responsive and quick with drinks. The overall vibe at the pool was great. The hotel was small enough that everyone knew each other by the end of the week and had a great time partying at the pool. I just wish they would play music at the pool. I don't know why these hotels don't do that anymore. The reason I gave it 4 stars: The butler service. I'm not sure why they call it a butler service when it's basically just a concierge who booked our restaurant reservations and that was it. I asked him for one other thing, and that was to please put towels down at the pool in the morning so we didn't have to get up so early to grab chairs. He refused and said it was only for timeshare residents. Apparently that's not true, because we met people at the pool that said there were employees that put towels down for them, and they didn't have a butler. I'm not sure what we paid for if the butler couldn't do the one thing we asked the entire week. A couple of times we texted general questions and were left on read so we gave up on using him. The upgraded rooms: our package included an upgraded room. We were on the sixth floor and we could hear everything that was going on outside our door. People were walking by at all hours and we could hear every conversation in our room. It sounded like a loud echo and it was really disruptive. We were woken up several times in the middle of the night. I would definitely return. If some of the above items were addressed, it would be perfect. Thank you.

Yelp
I liked my experience here! Everything is clean and wonderful. Staff are friendly and really nice. The location is awesome you can walk to the mall and quick taxi to downtown The spa experience was up there! Beach time was magical and the food is good. This is not my first resort in Cancun and I love so many things about this specific one.

Eric G.

Yelp
Are you kidding? This place is like no other other really engulf what hospitality is especially the food the beverages and overall service. One for the bucks the views are beautiful. The ocean was clean and although my mentality was party party party really it was drink pool go to bed and I'm not mad at that.. however I will say it was kind surprising the music they played in every are was very American and not at all party vibes close to moderate spa tunes which had me a little taken back. Other than it was amazing and I'd. Recommend to anyone who is looking for a romantic get away this is a must

Jalai G.

Yelp
Friendly and helpful staff. Multiple food options for various times of the day including 24 hour room service. The resort was clean and we would definitely stay again. We stayed in the terrace room and had a beautiful patio area and view of the beach. The dining restaurants for dinner are first come first serve unlike most resorts which have reservations. The biggest issue we had was the pools/beaches towel service stops at 6pm so you must have a towel before then. There are daily activities and they were enjoyable. It's also right across from the mall so you can easily do shopping.

Yelp
Really loved our experience at Live Aqua! It was our first time in Cancun. The staff here are amazing, super kind and attentive! Everyone is friendly and there are activities throughout the day and night to keep everyone entertained. We loved the infinity pool overlooking the private beach! They even sell excursion packages where you can jet ski or parasol. They have room service available 24/7 and a variety of food options. The restaurants are nice if you want to sit down, but they also have a large variety of hot buffet style items throughout the day/night (tacos, hot dogs, burgers, ribs, etc). Everything is included, but there are options to upgrade if you want to pay a little more. For example, fine dining or spa treatments. The facility itself is very nice, they were doing some construction updates. If you are going to Cancun, I would definitely recommend staying at Live Aqua!

Naz J.

Yelp
Overall the place is beautiful, friendly staff, and great location. We were greeted upon arrival and checked in quick to enjoy our first night. Only con of checking in was the pushy time share/ application promoters. They were very pushy with selling their service during breakfast and even used bargaining tactics to give us a free cabana the next day if we attended, as they are all sold out? Long story short it was a slow day and the staff allowed anyone to use them for free. Every time I came down to the lobby they would be on us for their sales meeting for the fiesta rewards. Pools were all clean and spacious. People do try to reserve chairs and not show up to the pools for hours. The rules are not enforced here even though they have a sign saying they can't do that...they also have a pool with a bar towards the edge of the resort. The gym here is a spacious and empty. Starbucks is not a full Starbucks. Just branding of the name with a 5-7 items on the menu from the traditional one in the states. Food was great at most restaurants. Nothing stood out. I would also explore the beautiful higher end restaurants outside of the resort. Alcohol was not the best quality. This was as expected for an all inclusive. MB did have a roach problem indoors. There were roaches coming out of the wooden floor where our table was at (towards the left of the entrance). They were nice enough to offer to move us, but we just ended up leaving as we were already done with our dinner. Room service was not the best. We placed orders and items never arrived until we called back about an hour later for them to say "we called to confirm your order and you didn't answer"... not true at all. The cleaners don't change the sheets and just re did them.

Yelp
Called this hotel to see if breakfast was open to the public and it was. We walked over from the Westin next door through the beach. Loved the buffet, fantastic waiter Santos. And then it went to shit . We walked out of the buffet and were "escorted" to the front desk. Argued with the front desk and showed them our full receipt that we indeed pay. We were just trying to walk back to our hotel the way we came. We yelled so they let us walk out through the pool area to the beach and back to our hotel. I understand they might have people trying to use the facility for free but we were dressed up and no bags or anything so it's not like we looked like we were there for day. Too bad this went this way. We went to the buffet to potentially plan a future stay there but the way we were treated was horrible.

Yelp
5 day stay in early September 2024. Service and staff were amazing. I was here to celebrate my birthday. Adult only resort and I found everyone very kind and friendly. Room service was nice and our favorite restaurants were MB and Sea Corner. Siete was great for breakfast. Be prepared, at check-in, for an offer to join their Fiesta rewards program with a representative who wants to meet and discuss more. I get that it's part of their business but I politely refused and that was that. No high pressure stuff. I think this is standard for resorts because this is the 2nd time I've had these "offers" (the other time was at a different hotel in Cancun) Shoutout to the pool bar guys Heiner and Tonatiuh, overall fabulous lady Dorcas and the whole Siete breakfast team. Lovely stay.

Yelp
Facility was immaculately clean and beautiful. Food and service were impeccable compared to other all inclusive resorts in Cancun. Best ever!!!

Justin A.

Yelp
Live Aqua is an adults-only resort in Cancun, Mexico. We first went in February 2012, and it was the best all-inclusive hotel experience in Cancun we ever had (and we've been to plenty of other hotels on Cancun's main strip). We experienced the best food and top-shelf drinks you could ask for. Granted, it was more expensive than other all-inclusive experiences nearby, but it was completely worth it. After that experience, it was always a plan to come back one day. Fast-forward 11-years to November 2023. This place has definitely gone downhill. Most of the restaurants, drinks, and room service items are trash. The only good restaurant included with the all-inclusive package is MB. There is another restaurant, called Carnivore, which also has better food, but you will need to pay extra. This resort used to be incredible, but it has declined over the decade. Do your research and stay elsewhere!

Isabella M.

Yelp
This resort is definitely something! The food was quite delicious; I was slightly disappointed they did not have any fresh pressed juices at their restaurants for a nonalcoholic selection. However, I throughly enjoyed the adults-only vibe and it was quiet and clean-kept. The pool was super nice and refreshing! We only got to spend a little less than a day over there because we were visiting Isles de Mujeres this time. The beach setting was perfect!! I especially loved the rubber ducks everyone (as one coding enthusiast such as myself ). Loved the rubber duckies!

Brad R.

Yelp
Head to take a quick getaway vacation This place lives up to the hype for an adult all inclusive . They have several restaurants for different appetites. All with different theme attractions. In each .

Morgan R.

Yelp
Had an AMAZING experience here at Live Aqua Beach Resort. My hubby and I went on a couples vacation (with one other couple) and completely loved our time spent in Cancun and on the resort. When we first arrived, we were greeted and welcomed with ice cold beverages and had a fairly easy and quick check in. Our room was CLEAN and easy to locate. I loved the newer amenities and appliances, we had a garden view room but it was technically a particular ocean view. Loved the small touches like the fully stocked mini fridge and how the drapes opened and closed with a push of a button/and auto censored so when we walked into the room they would open. We ate at the "Siete" restraunt quite a few times, buffet style and the option to order off the menu. I especially loved the breakfast buffet here. There was always food available on the resort. Rood service is 24/7 and there are many options to eat from, but be mindful that some of the restaurants have dress code policies. If you didn't feel like eating at one of the many restaurants there was often times food being served near the pool area, such as tacos and other food. Two out of four nights we stayed there was some sort of night show/event which had a bunch of food. The drinks kept coming and the service was pretty quick and the servers were very attentive. The BEST part...the POOLS!!! You could find me at the pools majority of our trip. I LOVED the infinity pool that looked over the ocean, it was not only a perfect view but it was cooler (in temperature) then the other pools. There was also a pool that had a swim up bar, it looked amazing but I didn't experience it because it was a bit too crowded for my liking, if you are looking for a fun, vibin' time, the swim up pool bar is where to be. The lunge chairs by the pool...the square cabanas were by reservation only but the Circle cabanas are first come first serve from my understanding. As well as the lounge chairs are first come first serve. I didn't have too much trouble getting a lounge chair even when I went in the middle of the afternoon. If you're trying to reserve more than one lounge chair, I suggest going earlier and putting your stuff on the chairs, hanging out and trying to reserve your spot. In other words, it is not impossible to get lounge chairs and find a place for you to put your stuff down and relax by the pool. We did use some of the amenities at the resort such as the spa, which was also a great experience for a decent price. A couple things that I would improve about the spa would be that the hot tub temperature be hotter, and that you were able to stay in the sauna and the steam room longer than just 15 minutes if desired (but still a good experience). I wish I had more time to explore more of the resort and participate in more of their activities (such a jewelry making, etc--there just wasn't enough time). The night life--the night life was good for my liking, wasn't too much (I'm not a super night life/clubbin type of girl) but there was music and dancing pretty much every night at the AK Bar (I think that's what it was called), there was a silent disco one night *it was pretty fun and poppin* and people just drinking, dancing and enjoying their time. There was also live music and a bar right outside of the Siete restaurant where you could find most people. Shoutout to Richardo, seemed like he was the hype man of the resort and did an AMAZING job at making the crowd lively. I loved his vibe and his energy and had such a great encounters with him. Lastly, I loved that it was an ADULTS ONLY resort. In all, we had an amazing time here at Live Aqua and would encourage anyone looking for a CLEAN, FUN, LIVELY, BEAUTIFUL experience and resort to stay here!

Renelle W.

Yelp
Loved loved loved this resort. I believe I went during non-peak time (early April 2023) and the resort was not packed at all. It's not a large resort but very manageable. The resort activities are mediocre compared to others but honestly it didn't bother me. I did enjoy the silent disco party. The rooms were very clean, inviting and modern. Some of the cute room amenities were the bedroom slippers and comfy robes, the beach slippers and the beach bag (pictured) to use during your stay. There are many restaurant options to choose from; with only one Carnivorous, being an additional charge. All other restaurants were inclusive. The food is well plated and beautiful! They definitely take their time with presentation. The food is also delicious. My fave was the SeaCorner restaurant! The cocktails however, were way too sweet, that was the general consensus with our group. With 4 pool options, a jacuzzi and the immaculate beach, you have many areas to enjoy the sun. The spa experience was also wonderful. Of course it's an added cost but the hydrotherapy is included in all spa packages. You definitely can miss the candle massage. I'm not sure how it differentiates from the other massages; it felt like a regular massage. The hotel is on the strip if you decide to venture out and it is steps away from a Luxury mall. I would definitely return!

Yelp
This was my first all inclusive beach resort experience, and it was nothing short of amazing. Live Aqua is for adults only. Our room type was the Premium Aqua Club Front, which gives you extra access to the VIP lounge and personal butler. Let's talk about these amenities! *VIP lounge: To be honest , we only used the VIP lounge twice to grab some quick hors d'oeuvre and dessert. They do have a nice bar, and will offer you champagne upon arrival. It's a nice area to chat and relax away from the crowd. *Personal butler: Our butler mainly communicated to us via WhatsApp. It was convenient to text them any questions/requests. Kudos to the butler for making us dinner reservations. I really love the daily text that details all the available restaurants, hours, and activities for the day. Now on to the inclusive info regardless of room type. *Gym: They have a very nice gym that includes cardio machines (elliptical, treadmill, stationary bikes), smith machine, dumbbells, and other weight machines. I'm in love with their unique cable machines on the back wall - make sure to check this out. *Pools: There are multiple pools throughout the resort. My favorite is the infinity pool, which gives you the perfect view of the beach. Each pool is not deep; the water goes up to the chest level at most. There are lots of lounge chairs. For certain pool cabanas, you will need to pay an extra fee to reserve. If you're interested in water aerobics, it's a fun activity that includes loud music and dancing. *Bars: It's easy to get a drink all over the resort. They have bars throughout the place. For example, there's a bar by Azur restaurant and Siete restaurant. Workers will also stop by to offer you a drink when you're hanging out at the pool. At night, you can also to Egos bar for some karaoke. *Starbucks: Yes, they do have Starbucks here! It's located inside the gift shop. The awesome part is it's included in the package. Menu may be limited, but it's a fast way to get your dose of caffeine and pastry. *Food: As a foodie, I'm tempted to write an entire essay on this, but will refrain and do individual restaurant reviews later. They have a variety of cuisines. You can get Italian at Varenna, Mediterranean at Azur, seafood at Sea Corner, Mexican at Siete, etc. For those desiring to stay in the rooms or missed the operating hours of the restaurant, don't fret. They have room service, and will deliver the food right to you. The delivered food was amazing along with the presentation. One of my favorites was the margherita pizza - so crunchy and cheesy. The hubby loved his fresh ceviche. Overall, the food is about a 3.5 to 4 stars, but the service across the board puts it at a 5 star. *Beach: Take advantage of the beautiful beach at the resort. Plenty of people walking or running along the beach. They also have swings and hammocks for a quick break. You can't beat the warm, clear water and beautiful sunset here. The resort is located along the hotel zone. There are a lot of tourists walking along the street. It's easy to walk to the mall, which is conveniently located across the street. We were also able to hop on the bus to go the the flea market and Playa Tortugas to take the ferry to Isla Mujeres. You can't get lost finding that red bus taking you down one road for $1 per person. We went at the end of January, and the temperature was around the mid 70-80s. It will occasionally rain for 20-30 mins, then stop. I highly recommend this resort - excellent/friendly customer service and amazing food!

Yelp
I just love this resort. I went for the first time back in Oct 2015 when it first opened. Service, food and Amenities were top notch and top tier. I literally had a ribeye every evening in my room provided by room service it was as if I was sitting in the steakhouse downstairs. Chairs by the pool are typically taken early so you might want to get to the pool early. The buffet had an assortment of food that was all very fabulous. They turn down your bed every evening and offer you an option of what aromatherapy scent you like during your evening turn down. While there was no real adult entertainment. The total zen feeling and quality of service made up for it. I most recently stayed at the resort August 2023 and I'm not sure if the quality of everything went down or the impacts of COVID is lingering. There is an up charge for the steakhouse... no more ribeyes for me. All other specialty restaurants were great. They really do celebrate you even if there is no special occasion. The buffet definitely has gone down in the afternoon and evening so we always opted for a specialty restaurant. Drinks all over the resort are great. Bartender are so friendly. Sushi is made to order. and so good. There's always a line but they will take your order and have it ready in no time. The good at the pool and outdoor buffet were good and tasty. Just beware if you are eating at the pool the iguanas will attack you and ruin your meal. The one thing I appreciate post covid is that they do have more adult entertainment during the evening.

Yelp
Amazing experience. Every restaurant was phenomenal. The staff is so polite. Best all inclusive I've been to hands down

Yelp
This is best all inclusive resort that I've been to. Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana (in Punta Cana) was my previous favorite all-inclusive. And I definitely still enjoy Hyatt Cap Cana, but I've now lucked up and found this Cancun gem. The service and THE FOOD are all wonderful. It's a fun resort that's laid back, but not boring. I'm liking forward to booking again.

Yelp
This was my second time at those resort and I'm so glad we came back. Service was amazing, food was delicious, cabana service by Roosevelt was top notch!

Yelp
We really had an awesome stay here at Live Aqua! This is our first time in Cancun and the bar has definitely been set for "All inclusive, Adults Only" resort when we decide to go back. The resort was well maintained and the restaurants were top notch! The pool with the swim-up bar can get busy...but you shouldn't have any issues getting your drink while on the bigger pools. The staff were friendly and responsive. Would definitely recommend this place if you're planning a trip to Cancun. Note that there is a fashion boutique mall right across the street and a luxury shopping center a couple of blocks down the road. We also recommend treating yourself and schedule some spa time while you're here. It's worth it.

Yelp
My stay at Live Aqua was five stars from start to finish! Immediately upon arrival, it was clear that the staff was ready and willing to serve us with whatever we needed. From prompt check-ins for our group of thirteen and taking bags straight to our rooms, we were greeted with smiles and amazing attitudes. The same level of customer service was provided throughout the four day stay, from greeters, to bartenders, to room service, everyone we came into contact with spared no expense providing us with the best possible experience. Now, onto the food! I have read some mixed reviews on the resort here, but I am pleased to say the food was impressive! Our first dive in began at the Hidden Garden where we ordered quite literally one of everything! The wait staff was happy to oblige and even brought out a round of specially crafted cocktails that were not on the menu for the whole table while we waited on the first course. Every appetizer was a hit, but most notably with the group were the shrimp dumplings, duck bao buns, and spring rolls. The accompanying sauces for each dish were also great! Of main dishes, the Mango Thai seemed to be the overall favorite. We were celebrating both a bachelorette party and a birthday this night and each of the honorees was given a customized dessert plate with congratulatory messages which was a nice touch! I will not spend long on Siete, as it was an average meal and I only tried breakfast (was a nice touch that they put out champagne and vodka for a build your own mimosa/bloody mary bar) I learned from everyone else that room service breakfast far exceeded expectations but I preferred to get out of the room for a change of scenery! My favorite a la carte item had to be the burger and hot dog station we stumbled upon by accident. Boy, that thing hit the spot! MB is definitely a place for a more refined palate/look. The dishes were fine in flavor, but the draw here is definitely the beautifully constructed plates. The habanero soup was also the single best thing I ate on the entire trip! Sea Corner was a perfect pit stop just steps from the pool and the ceviche was so clearly fresh! I ordered two full bowls and I don't regret it! We booked two photoshoots with the resort during our stay- one felt a bit misplaced as the photos were taken inside the lobby and in awkward places, however, the pool/beach shoot was fantastic! Definitely a fun way to capture memories. The entire resort was beautiful and felt safe and welcoming, though we went for a celebration getaway, this is a place I would love to return to for a relaxation vibe as it focuses largely on wellness. This includes touches like a zen garden/meditation chime in each room as well as a choice of what calming scent you would like in your room every morning. Lastly, a notable addition, during a mishap one of the mirrored doors in our room shattered on the first night. Upon immediately altering the staff, they did not bat an eye and swiftly moved us into a different room assuring us not to worry about the damage. It turned a scary situation into a calm one and we were able to move along and enjoy the rest of our stay without any malice from the staff.

Yelp
We posted a lengthy review on TripAdvisor but wow! My husband and I had a great experience at this all inclusive resort. Food was good, not necessarily amazing, but the service made up for it. Though we did tip often and well, all resort employees were exceedingly nice and helpful with any request. There were quite a few that stood out around the pool bar, Egos Bar, and the restaurants. One thing to be mindful of is that you if you get stopped in the bar area by MB by resort employees that are trying to chat with you or give you a map, it might be an effort to get you into a time share/"vacation package" presentation. Once you agree to this, it is very difficult and frankly, uncomfortable to get out of so beware and decline quickly. Overall, we loved the grounds, the pools, and the proximity to the beach. We would definitely stay again!

Yelp
Javier, bartender, it's only his 4th day here at the resort, and will be the reason I come back here again and again. The drink he makes me is so delightful and refreshing. We call it "Nina's Cocktail." Kenya and Luis, the butler service, is a highly recommended service I advise anyone to get if they want to feel fancy and catered to. They scheduled everything for us and waited on us, hand and foot. They are just a text away, from morning coffees to dinner reservations. Instead of running around the resort and doing things for yourself, they are there to assist you! Deysi, the massage therapist, was a god send. I want her to come home with me! She was AMAZING. You can really tell she loves her work, she's very skilled at her craft. Angel at Hidden Garden was such a delight. You can tell he's a hardworking man. All the men from Carnivore treated us like queens. You can tell they want you to have the best experience dining with them. They put on a good show and a magic show! Antonio, the server at the pool, catered to my every request! All the servers went above and beyond. All the employees I mentioned need to be rewarded by hotel management because it is there excellent customer service that makes the vacation rememberable to guests. The site is beautiful. Nice, clean, and comfy lounge chairs and cabanas. The drinks are AMAZING. Anywhere you order them from. Only recommendation is the food could be a little bit better. It was hard to find good quality protein. But other than that, I highly recommend this resort!

Jennifer B.

Yelp
The hotel is very nice, food was decent. The air freshening system they have stinks bad. But the service staff is great very nice people. I wish they would have better music to make ambiance a little more fun. It would also be nicer if you can eat food in the cabanas on the beach. But over all it was a very nice vacation spot to go to.

Yelp
I was a part of a work group that stayed at Live Aqua Resort and am already looking forward to my next visit. It was absolutely amazing. This was our first visit to an all-inclusive resort, as was revealed to our group when I asked for our check at an onsite restaurant. Ha! Food is included, you only pay for tips. Everything about this resort oozes luxury-the staff are friendly and accommodating, the facilities are beautifully maintained, the grounds and pools are gorgeous-what more could you want? A few things to note, for anyone considering coming here: * This is an adults-only resort, but doesn't really cater to the party crowd. Sure, there's limitless booze at the pool and some fun music played by the DJ, but the overall vibe is much more chill. And the late night scene is non-existent. * Most of the restaurants don't require reservations or have a dress code, with the exception of MB. Slacks are required. * Spend the extra money to rent a cabana. The pool is lovely, but after several hours in the sun, it loses it's appeal. A shady, comfy bed on the beach is a perfect solution. * Visit all of the restaurants. We found a favorite and stuck with it, and now I regret not venturing out to try more. * Take advantage of the activities. I took a mixology class and sort of participated in Bingo and aqua aerobics. All were fun and only a few people participated. * Bring cash for tips. Although you don't pay for food or drinks (they are included in the room rate), it's still appropriate to tip the staff that serves you. I saw too many people leave empty tables or not tip the bartender and that's just not cool. I'm afraid I may be ruined for other AI resorts-this one can't possibly be topped.

Yelp
The best hotel I ever stayed. Great location, best pools, good restaurants and great services from everyone working at the hotel. We are highly recommend to everyone. What a great hotel, we had the best vacation. Thank you Live Aqua Hotel in Cancun. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Everything that I am about to say is all genuinely true. My boyfriend and I had such a great experience with Live Aqua that I didn't want to go home. Seriously. I cried twice the morning of check-out day lol. We stayed for 5 days total, 4 nights. We booked an all-inclusive stay, which I must say is very worth the price!!!! Since it was an all-inclusive stay, this meant we had unlimited drinks, food was free with no extra charge (unless you choose an item on the menu that has a price to it or you go to a restaurant that isn't included in the package), and even room service was freeeeee!!! This hotel is only all adults, no kids. We arrived to the hotel on Saturday at around 11am. We were greeted so nicely and welcoming! It felt like a dream that I didn't want to leave haha. Since we got there early our room wasn't ready yet, but we were able to use the amenities and eat at the restaurants/bars in the hotel. We were so hungry that we literally ate at 3 different restaurants for funsies before we got our room. I loved every bit of it! The hotel is pretty big so it didn't seem crowded at all, other than the pool of course since it's a lounging area. I believe the cabanas and other seats by the pool must be paid separately. I think it's worth it if you plan on relaxing for the entirety of your trip. If you plan on doing some excursions, someone by the pool can assist you. The staff member who assisted us was Elio and he was great! He confirmed all of our activities on specific days, booked our transportation, and made sure we were treated like royalty. Seriously though the staff made me feel like a Princess everyday. They even called me Princesa hehe. For my first time in Cancun, I'm really glad we chose Live Aqua as our first stay. Everyone was very accommodating, friendly, sweet, happy, and our room was just the cherry on top. I can't wait to take my parents and brother here in the future!

Yelp
Good hotel however they can improve in the welcome arrival, better AC at the lobby, better alcohol selection and changing rooms at the hotel on arrival or before departure.

Jenny P.

Yelp
Great service and entertainment! We will definitely be back next year! We loved our suite with Ruddy and Kenya as our personal butlers. And Ricardo made the resort so much fun!

janelle c.

Yelp
Resort itself was beautiful. My issues were the food was not good. Only time food was good was at the steakhouse. No seasoning for anywhere else. The liquor we had 1st day was so watered down my friend "the lightweight " drank all day and not even a buzz. Disappointed. Wound not recommend based off food and drinks. Now staff was great.

Dorothy H.

Yelp
I came with a group of girls to Live Aqua for a triple bachelorette party. You heard me: triple bachelorette. What a fun destination for us to be! All-inclusive resort that's on the beach, tons of pools, fun excursions available to us, and all just down the street from some fun nightclubs! This was a really awesome resort with great food and great drinks. I would have loved more access to the cabanas - they seemed to get booked out several days in advance, so that made it tough for us to be able to get some shade. The cabanas down at the beach were a lot easier to book, but no food was allowed in that area. Can't complain though! Good food, good drinks, great price, and great fun!

Yelp
I'm going to keep this brief because there's no need to regurgitate what everyone else has said about this place. There are a few negatives. The elevators are slow and they misspelled the word bagel in the buffet. That's about it. Everything else is pretty much spectacular. The restaurants are beautiful, visually striking and serve amazing food. On-site restaurants don't take reservations but there's rarely a wait of more than 10 or 15 minutes. Staff is exceptional. They literally could not do more to have made our vacation perfect. One telling thing is that literally 90% of the people who we spoke to had been to the resort at least a few times before. That really says it all. I've been to many, many resorts, very few of which I would ever consider returning to. Not so here. Can't wait to go back. Kudos. 5 well deserved stars.

Yelp
We came to Live Aqua for our honeymoon and spent a week at this beautiful resort. Everything here was top notch! The service was impeccable and the staff go above and beyond for their guest. The grounds are constantly being maintained and spotless.

Elizabeth G.

Yelp
this is by far the best all-inclusive resort i've ever stayed at. the amenities and service were top notch! they have numerous restaurants serving a grand variety of foods including italian, asian fusion, mexican, and american fare. i absolutely loved how nice the resort smelled. the grounds are clean and nicely maintained. the pools were amazing. the views were to die for. my favorite part about this resort is that all of the rooms are ocean view. 10000/10 would recommend!

Rocio C.

Yelp
Zen vibes all the way except at the bars, LOL. Yes, I did had a great time at the bars. This resort it's all inclusive, there's a Starbucks and YES it's part of the all inclusive!! I was in coffee heaven. The room was good, clean and cold, high tech controls for the windows and lights. The beach access is great, right next to the pools and we were able to swim in the beach in this part of town. In some areas in Cancun you can't swim because water is a little rough. There's about 5-6 pools with a swim up bar. Awesome view from the pools, they have aerobics classes every day and other little activities. The food was great at every restaurant, they had a couple food stands around the pool area and they even a mojito cart, that was pretty awesome. We had grill chicken at one of the stands, it was delicious! Of course like any Fiesta Americana franchise, costumer service was outstanding. I will definitely going back

Andrea P.

Yelp
4/5 stars. Definitely a good adults only all inclusive resort but I will say the drinks are pretty mid. They all taste pre made lol. Beer was perfect but the drinks? Very poor in my opinion. Service is great everyone is friendly! The food is good as well.

Yelp
The staff were generally kind, but the service was lacking and the food/drinks weren't great. We asked for things multiple times (coffee pods for the room, fresh towels, cocktails, etc) and never received the item. It seems that communication between staff and management is seriously lacking. When we first arrived one of the hotel reps offered us a 50% discount at the spa. She framed it as if they were simply running a special. The next morning we were invited downstairs to be "shown to our breakfast table" but a hotel manager instead tried to manipulate us into attending a timeshare presentation. When we firmly declined, she aggressively informed us that we wouldn't be receiving the spa discount. What a shitty way to start your vacation. Also, I'm celiac so I need to eat gluten free. Before we arrived I emailed the concierge to inform them of my diet. No response. While we were at the property some servers seemed moderately informed about gluten free while others were clueless. Several menus showed a gluten free symbol next to items that I was told actually weren't gluten free. The only truly positive dining experience I had was on our second to last morning when the chef from the buffet made me a special gluten free plate of food. The manager came to our table and informed my group that he would contact the Italian restaurant (where we were planning to have dinner) about my diet and that they would have a special meal cooked for me. When we arrived at the restaurant the next evening, the server had no idea what I was talking about...so apparently that communication wasn't properly carried out. Overall Pros: gorgeous beach, nice pool, mostly kind staff, nice spa, excellent massage (for which we paid full price), clean rooms Overall Cons: not celiac friendly, first room smelled musty (we requested to be moved and were), no half n half for our coffee available via room service (I walked down to Starbucks to request a cup of cream), and cheap alcohol We will most likely choose a different all-inclusive next time.

Yelp
Logistics: We stayed four nights during the last days of August and the weather was perfect. I suggest booking their driver for airport shuttles. We booked through Expedia about 6 months prior. Check in took longer than expected. Under 1 Expedia account, we booked 2 rooms but they placed us on opposite sides of the hotel which was inconvenient when meeting up with our friends and caused a lot of waiting time. We asked if they could at least put us closer together but were told they could not. Rooms: Very clean and modern. The showers are huge walk ins with a rain showers head. There are 2 sinks which is nice. Every room comes with a mini fridge with sodas and beers included. We stayed in garden view and still got some views of the beach. Food: The breakfast bar was a favorite, they have made to order smoothies, omelettes and typical Buffett style foods. All the restaurants were delicious, there are steakhouses, Italian, Asian and quicker to go food stations. The drinks at the bars were way better than expected (fair alcohol content). Shopping: There is a gift shop with overpriced clothing and souvenirs, but the secret is that there's a Starbucks located inside gift shop and it's included for all inclusive guests! Also this resort is located right across the street from a shopping plaza which has designer stores (LV, YSL, Prada) and more affordable shops as well.

Yelp
Let me start by saying- the resort its self is beautiful and the grounds are well maintained. With that being said- the good stops there. Upon arrival we were directed to the concierge lounge for check in where we were directed to sit and wait. Fine. We were told we would be getting a different room than we had booked- they changed the room. Fine. I had told them it was my partners birthday- they said they would send a cake and bottle of champagne. That never came. The room looked great initially - had all the amenities everything was perfect until we came around 1am and turned on the lights. A HUGE cockroach went running from the side of the bed to the chair. We killed it and called the front desk. The gentleman at the front desk told us he will send someone to "clean" the room. Upon asking what that would do since if there is one there is more when it comes to cockroaches, he proceeded to ask me what I suggest be done. I politely hung up. They called back and spoke to my partner and asked him if he was lying about the infestation and told us we would be changing rooms. When the person came to get our bags- he informed us that the general manager would be coming to speak to us tomorrow to sign a "NON DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT" to ensure we would not talk about the infestation lol. Ok. We change rooms. The room they brought us to had a mold smell that was so pungent we both were stuffy by morning. Our room was changed again and the rest of the time there was ok. The GM never showed his face, even when we asked where he was. The Al la carte food was terrible. Buffets for both breakfast and lunch were good. Beds are comfortable. For the amount of money you are paying to stay here- you would expect that any infestations would be handled prior to guest arrival - or- do not put guests in that building if you know there is an ongoing issue and certainly you cannot ask people to sign anything. Ludicrous. This is a 2 star at best. We would not return here again because of the food and the way the issues were handled.

Yelp
Had a really nice stay with my wife about a week ago. Hotel is only 20 minutes from the airport. Check in was smooth, and we were able to upgrade our room to an ocean view. Room upgrade came with preferred club access, which I recommend. It was nice to have a place to get out of the heat, have a snack/drink, and enjoy a great sunset view. Hotel is very clean and room service did a good job. For not being huge rooms, there was more than enough space for my wife and I. The grounds were gorgeous and very well maintained. One of the best beaches we've ever stay at. Sand was amazing. No rocks. Felt like you could walk out forever in the water. Pools were beautiful as well. Food. Sea Corner is great for lunch. Azure for breakfast is amazing, and solid for lunch with a great dining view. Breakfast buffet was one of the best I've had. Mexican restaurant, Siete, is a gem. Ate their twice and everything we had was amazing. Paella man in the afternoon, and taco bar at night are fantastic. Taco bar has some of the best chorizo I've ever had. Hidden garden was just ok. A lot of fried food with very little finesse. Verena, Italian restaurant, is a skip. Lunch and dinner were both meh at best. Service is good, but tipping, which I do daily and frequently, makes little difference. Transports. Don't use BD Experience through Costco. Travel to hotel was fine. Want to pick you up 4.5 hours before flight home. Totally not necessary, and BD won't respond to attempts to change the time. Spent $20 and took a cab back. Overall, a solid spot for a couples vacation.

Yelp
Carlos makes the best sushi!!!! I can't wait to go again. He will make something special for you. Go see him!!! Ask him about the banana roll

Yelp
The resort is nice and clean but the food is just horrible. The best restaurant according to the employees was MB and that had one hour wait time and one hour to bring the food and wasn't even great!!! Other than the food I realised the house keepers don't change the sheets and they just make the beds and neat them when they do the house keeping! They're supposed to change the bed sheets and pillowcovers but they don't!!!

Yelp
Live Aqua is an amazing resort. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and accommodating from the moment you walk into the lobby. Thy all work so hard and enjoy inner acting with the guest. The staff remembers you and calls you by name when they see you around the resort. David at Azur was our favorite waiter, we had breakfast there daily. Be sure to look for Roosevelt and Edouard at the pool, they will take care of you with their friendly smiles and kindness. This was our first time to Cancún, we definitely chose the best resort. We are looking forward to returning next year and seeing our favorite staff at Live Aqua

Yelp
This is the second time my wife and I have stayed at this hotel and it will be out last. There are other nicer hotels in Cancun to chose from. Once again, we had mixed feelings by our experience at this hotel. We stayed a week and booked a club front ocean room. The Good: *Excellent service by most hotel staff *Paying extra for club room is worth it *The food was pretty good for an all inclusive hotel (especially MB) *Food room service is good *Mini bar and Starbucks are part of all inclusive *Excellent spa experience *Great location - across the main mall of the city *Cool adult vibe The Bad: *The rooms are spacious, modern but pretty basic *Cabana rental is $85 per day with no guarantee of a good pool location *Digital Personal Butler is nothing to rave about. At times, I would not hear from my assigned butler for a day. *Club receptionist did not assist me with checkout. Had to go to main lobby. * The misplaced palm trees block the gorgeous ocean view The Ugly: *Several times I had to call management to get room cleaned *The pools are not cleaned properly. Had black algae all over. *The faucets make a gurgling sound (like it is going to clog up) each and every time one uses it *Water leaked from the shower *The AC can not be adjusted. It was maintained at 68 degrees at all times. Great during the day. Very cold at night. The above summarizes our mixed hotel experience. It did not take away from our first trip since COVID. However, it did not add much either. In sum, this is an OK hotel but not a 5 star one.
