Live! by Loews - St. Louis (St Louis, Missouri) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Ballpark Village is the name of St. Louis’s redeveloped, stadium-centered entertainment district, and Live! By Loews is literally a few dozen steps from Busch Stadium, home of the St. Louis Cardinals. Many rooms look across the pedestrian-only street at the face of the stadium itself; all are bright and colorful, in a contemporary boutique-hotel style, and equipped with comforts like Stearns & Foster mattresses and Keurig coffee makers. Two restaurants, a bourbon bar, and a grab-and-go market keep guests fed and watered, and Ballpark Village offers no end of alternatives, just outside the hotel’s door." - Tablet Hotels

The location of this hotel is perfect for enjoying the bars and restaurants in ballpark village as well as seeing a Cardinals game at Busch stadium. We also walked to the Gateway Arch and Old Courthouse and found the area pleasant and safe to walk through. The rest of downtown looked pretty quiet and empty so we did not walk around much further. The hotel is very modern and the front desk staff were always friendly and helpful. We did not eat at the hotel but did enjoy a drink at the hotel bar. Service by the bartender was efficient and friendly. Our room was clean and the bathroom spacious and bright. The hotel was quiet at night and we slept well. We would definitely recommend staying here and can’t think of any areas for improvement. Well done !!

I celebrated my friend’s birthday at this rooftop bar yesterday, and the experience was a mix of highs and lows. The Good: The location itself was really nice with a great vibe and good energy overall. Once we finally got settled, the bottle girl, Angela, completely turned the night around. She was absolutely amazing—friendly, upbeat, apologetic about the earlier mishap, and honestly the best hype girl I could’ve asked for. She went above and beyond to make sure my friend had a memorable birthday, and her energy made the experience feel special. The Not-So-Good: Unfortunately, the night started off rocky. I had already been in communication with the venue beforehand to make sure everything went smoothly, but when I arrived, I found another group already sitting in my booth, drinking my bottle. It was frustrating to stand around waiting while they moved the other group elsewhere. My original server actually went with them, leaving me stuck at a dirty booth with no service for quite a while. No manager ever came over to acknowledge the situation or apologize, which made it feel unprofessional. Overall: If not for Angela, the night could have been a complete disaster. She truly saved the experience with her energy, effort, and customer service. Management really needs to work on organization and accountability because guests shouldn’t be put in that kind of position.

We had our wedding reception here and it was amazing! The venue is such a modern, iconic spot downtown, and everything ran so smoothly - even on a summer weekend when the Cardinals were in town. Sydney was wonderful to work with - so helpful, responsive, and made the whole process easy. Highly recommend!

Overall we had a decent stay. The hotel is beautiful and the employees at the restaurant, bar and valet were awesome! Unfortunately, we had requested a pet free room and were assured prior to arrival that this request could be made, or else we would've booked elsewhere. Upon arrival, we were told that at least the last 3 guests had not had pets, but beyond this there was no guarantee pets had not been in that room. However, prior to arrival we were assured by Eliana in customer service that she had contacted the hotel directly and this request could be met. Unfortunately, my allergies and other symptoms were exacerbated by staying in this room. My recommendation is to have pet free rooms (that are always pet free)to accommodate guests with pet allergies. Especially, when you can not thoroughly cleanse a room from pet dander unless you remove everything. I understand and appreciate that a hotel accommodates pets, but their should also be accommodations made for other paying customers that would like to experience the Loews brand of hotels. We've traveled many places and this is the first time we've encountered this issue with a hotel that allows pets. Due to this issue, we probably won't return.

From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a warm welcome that set the tone for an outstanding stay. The valet service was prompt and professional, and the innovative text service allowed me to request my car in advance, ensuring it was ready when I needed it. Very safe for any solo travelers out there. The hotel's ambiance was inviting, and the staff consistently attentive. My room was immaculate and spacious, featuring a well-stocked mini bar (note: items are not complimentary). The cleanliness and comfort exceeded my expectations. The hotel's amenities were top-notch, and the outdoor spaces provided a pleasant retreat. I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

You cannot beat the location for this hotel. We parked at Ballpark Village and stayed about 100 feet from Busch Stadium. It’s got a nice bar downstairs and happy hour allows you to have a couple beverages and dodge the ballpark price. The room was good size, clean, modern, and nice. The down side is the price … almost $450. It’s good to do once if you aren’t worried about the money.

Google
This hotel was everything we needed-close to Busch Stadium and in the heart of Ballpark Village. The hotel was clean and reasonably priced with excellent service and welcoming staff. The room was spacious and comfortable. It is a 10 minute walk to the Gateway Arch. We would definitely stay here again.

Google
Best location for attending the Cardinals game. Literally across the street from hotel. I read reviews that self parking is difficult so we just opted to do valet ($50/day). It was very easy. ||Great fitness room for those that need it. Restaurant has great food but it’s pricey. Whiskey bar has an amazing selection if you are into that. My husband is a whiskey drinker. Bar can get crowded after ballgames. Helpful staff and friendly. Just text them your needs. ||Easy walk to the Arch for a visit. Overall highly recommend this hotel!

Yelp
After dinner at Clark & Bourbon, we couldn't help but notice how nice the hotel lobby was so we sat to people watch. They have a chocolate fountain??? I've only seen these at weddings lol I love that the decor was lined with a nice classy book shelf and on the other side is the sports bar and down the way is Clark & Bourbon. I noticed receptionist was so nice to the guests. Nothing better than great customer service. Since we've been wedding planning it made me think of our honeymoon options. It was that nice! What really stood out was Aaron (I didn't get his title but works at Loews) was actually the person who helped us book a reservation at Clark and bourbon. Again, talk about great customer service!! This place along with its neighbor establishments seem to be a well oiled machine working together for a smooth night for all their guests and customers. Oh! And another thing that stood out to me was when I had got up to use the bathroom, I had no idea where I was going but as soon as I probably had a lost look on my face, someone came right by me to ask if I was looking for the bathroom and pointed me in the right direction. Anticipating needs? Gotta love it. Again, VIP treatment!

Yelp
I am honestly surprised by the low stars here on Yelp for this hotel because I had a great experience. We used valet so parking was not an issue and the valet was super fast to get our car when we were ready to leave. Check in was easy and all the employees we encountered were nice and helpful. The hotel has multiple places to eat and drink. Our room was awesome! Great view of ballpark village and the arch in the background. We found the room comfortable as well. The hotel is pretty but the best part is the location. The hotel is at ballpark village and right next door to the stadium. Tons of bars and restaurants are within a block or two. Walking to the arch is easy as well. Next time I go to STL I will stay here again for sure.

Yelp
Live! By Loews is a beautiful, well maintained hotel with the most convenient access to Busch Stadium and Ballpark Village. We stay here several times a year and will continue to stay as frequent ballpark visitors. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Yelp
I had to stay downtown for two days while on a business trip. I found this hotel through military American travel website and I am so glad I picked this location. The hotel itself was beautiful restaurant, bars, and a rooftop area. It was right across from the Cardinals stadium. so depending on what room you were located in you could literally watch the baseball game from your hotel room. I had a king bed also had a couch and two separate TVs. The staff was so nice to me and helped me with everything that I needed. They allowed me to check in early as my flight was earlier in the day. Parking is attached to the building self parking that is. They also have valet parking which is literally in the front of the building. Very easy to access. If I have to go back to St. Louis, I will definitely stay here again.

Yelp
What a great new hotel! Perfect location and wonderful amenities! Clean rooms and super comfortable! Will be back!

Yelp
The Loews brand typically has service and rooms but not this location. We were on the 8th floor with a nice view BUT we stayed in a room that had a broke chair, dirty shower, and had a toliet handle you had to shake every 2nd or 3rd flush for it to work. Could of overlooked other two if room was clean. The solutions weren't solutions, and the manager Lauren lacked the necessary skills to help, comp drinks are not a solution and were declined.

Yelp
We stayed at this hotel for two nights, and really had a pleasant experience. All of the staff was friendly at every interaction, the room was very clean, the bathroom and the room design were both modern and up-to-date. They have a service where you can send a text message to them for anything you need like more shampoo or to have your car pulled around from valet, so that was pretty convenient. The room has plenty of outlets, USB charging points, and even the alarm clock in the room has a wireless charging pad for cell phones. The only negative we encountered was that on the second day we did not receive any cleaning service until 5 PM, when we were already back in the room for the day, so they really only gave us new towels and cleaned up the bathroom a little bit. What was unfortunate with this is that I did not get any new coffee pods, so I had to use the text messaging service to try to get two new coffee pods delivered for the following morning and there kept being a miscommunication via text where they would tell me. "Your requested item has been delivered" and there was nothing at my door. I think we went through this two or three times of "service is on the way" and then an hour goes by without a knock on the door before my fiancé went downstairs just to ask for coffee pods in person. So that was not the end of the world and the hotel was wonderful on many other fronts. I also want to note that it was actually quiet within our room except for when the fireworks went off at the baseball game and when they were cleaning rooms (ours was right next door to the service room). This was great - we hav e trouble getting solid sleep in hotels due to hallway noise or noise above / below us. Great work with this! We would stay here again.

Yelp
Very nice place to stay. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Treated like a true guest unlike many hotels like that anywhere.
google avatar

Yelp
You hear noise and loud music all day and night, I'm on the right floor, Im 54 so I wasn't expecting a hip hop concert The noise level was beyond ridiculously That's why the rooms are so cheap Ideal for college kids It feels like spring break
google avatar

Yelp
This hotel is sweet! What a way to come into STL, with a view of Busch Stadium, the Arch, and a Nelly concert setting up outside our window. I'm just surprised they didn't have T-Ravs and Budweisers waiting for us.. Obviously with "Live!" in the name, it's going to be a bit livelier than some locations. For instance, I once stayed at the Union Station hotel around the holidays and it was eerily quiet around it, with very few restaurants around and Mariah Carey Christmas music echoing through the empty space. Live by Loew's is in Ballpark Village, similar to KC's Power & Light District, and it's a manufactured district for restaurants, nightlife and occasional concerts. We had no idea Nelly was doing a Tuesday night birthday bash, and I was thinking two thoughts. One, this is sweet! And two, would keep me up all night?... Fortunately by the time we got back to the hotel room at 11 it was completely over and cleared out. Who knows the noise level on the weekends however. The rooms are great, beds are incredibly comfortable, and there are little baseball touches throughout and homage to the Cardinals. It was very clean, staff was friendly, and you can even check-out via text. I was impressed with the shower, great soaps & shampoos, water pressure, etc. Parking was a little steep at $30 a night, but it is what it is.

Yelp
I love this hotel. What a great addition to the downtown St. Louis vibe. This is the ideal place to stay if you are a Cardinals fan. You are literally in the backyard of Busch Stadium. And there is a ton of cardinal references throughout the hotel. It's pretty easy to get to, they have valet and self parking on property. The rooms are modern and very clean. And the beds are super comfy I slept through the night very easily. The showers have plenty of hot water that comes out High pressure which is great. And it's easy to check out and get right back on the interstate.

Yelp
Stayed here for a conference over the weekend and it was pretty nice. The three of us were really comfortable and our room was always clean and well made up. Staff was friendly and efficient and the downstairs bar was great. Upstairs bar was a little slow but the drinks were good. Food for the conference good and the guys who work that area and our outside event were hard working and nice.

Jay B.

Yelp
I agree with the other reviews about the noise. We can't stay here. Very loud noise the whole weekend from Cardinals' games preventing us from sleeping the whole time. Otherwise a perfectly fine hotel. I also want to point out that we feel nickel and dimed for everything. They charged us for a night even thought we gave them ample notice that we were simply unable to arrive on our first night. They chose to charge us anyway. Be careful.

Yelp
I took my kids to St Louis for a little trip. I booked the room using Hotwire. The location of the hotel is amazing. It's right across the street from stadium and cardinal nation. You are within walking distance from a number of good restaurants and the Arch. The hotel is very nice and modern. Valet parking is available. Garage parking is includes with your stay. You use your key card to get in and out. The rooms and bathroom are spacious. My view was wonderful. The room was very clean. The beds are comfortable and the room was quiet at night. There is a bar and restaurants on-site. The menu looked good. Some of the prices seemed a bit high. The bar prices were a bit high too. But the staff was very nice. I would absolutely stay here again!!
google avatar

Kris L.

Yelp
Decent hotel but extremely cold inside during the winter. I'd say if you're ordering at the bar expect to wait a long time. Like as in a hour for a salad long. The rooms are nice and a decent price for the location. Parking way too expensive for it to be in a city with such a high crime rate, declining population, and over dilapidated nature. Overall if you have to be in St Louis, this is an okay choice. The Loews in other areas are a bit better.
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
What a hassle! I left something in my room, and now we're on day three of trying to recover them! No return calls like I was promised, no calls, they just told me to call back again! Ok, fifth call was the charm apparently! I'm waiting for the email to pay for shipping, $280 a night for a room I slept in once, oh well.

Yelp
Clean and comfortable room in a very nice hotel. Good drinks at the lobby bar. Great location!

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel for a week long business trip and recommend it for anyone wanting to stay in a LIVELY area of St Louis. Kyle and Cortez were very welcoming and made sure that everything I needed was completed with ease. The hotel is near the stadium so if you expect quiet this is not the place during games but otherwise it was very serene. Alecia at the front desk was warm, inviting and welcoming upon my arrival and made sure she continued to check in to ensure my stay was going well. Would definitely stay again with the great team mentioned above!

Yelp
Great hotel! Super nice and Clean. I had a Ballpark Village Courtyard view, room 805, and that was amazing. Nice oversized shower and what was great about the shower was that the knob to turn on is in the back of the shower so you don't get wet turning it on. Design and decor are Cardinals themed which is a nice touch. The 2nd floor open air patio is great for lounging and the Clark and Bourbon is really good for food and drinks. They have a huge selection of Bourbon, so enjoy and the Wings were phenomenal. Parking is $30/night so be prepared for that. I wanted to give a 5, but a few things bothered me. 1) signs say no smoking within 25ft of the door, but when we lit cigars more than enough distance away, we were told to put them out and that the signs should say no smoking. 2) there isn't a place for guest to lounge and socialize after hours. The 2nd floor open patio closes at 11:30p and we were eating pizza late after drinks and had no where to sit, eat and socialize. For the price of this hotel, guest should have somewhere to do this. 3) There was also one night when the hotel staff said it was OK to sit by the fireplace section in the lobby and finish cocktails, but then the police officer made us leave. Everyone needs to be on the same page. 4) hotel requires 2 night stay on Cardinals home game days, so plan your Staycation accordingly. Overall, would stay again, just have these things in mind.

Yelp
The bartender Allen is amazing first and foremost. We came here to grab a few drinks after dinner I order the old fashion and my wife grabbed and vodka cranberry. I have to say this old fashion is the best one I have ever had so far! The atmosphere is really nice. Music isn't to loud to talk to others and great to watch the game on tv.

Yelp
Great Stay..Cheaper then our Kansas City Loews stay with same cool amenities and great beds. We definitely will be staying at Loews Hotel when available from now on.

Yelp
Great hotel, but a few issues before we even made it inside. So hopefully this will help you. First, we couldn't figure out where their parking was (we literally drove around the block 3-4 times), and when we found it, my husband's suburban was too high to hit the sensor. It wouldn't spit out a parking receipt. Then, we couldn't get through the garage door to get into the hotel. The sensor lock needed some sort of key card. So we found an elevator and pressed the floor 1 button. This took us outside where, thankfully, 2 guys were standing around and told us to walk around the building to find the main entrance. Apparently, you are supposed to use the elevators with signs that say "Live! By Loews," not the other elevators. Now that we were finally parked, and inside the lobby, we were pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Fresh, clean, and great decor, with St. Louis Cardinals colors and decorum throughout. A comfy, long couch wraps around in a cozy nook corner of the bar area. A great place for a snuggle and a beverage. ;) The rooms - LOTS of USB ports - 5 thumbs up just for that! These days there are so many electronics that charge by USB, and so many hotels don't have them, or have enough. I also love that there's a fridge and a safe. One detail I'm not thrilled about, is there's no fan in the bathroom/shower area. It gets hot in there when putting on my makeup - even with the door open. What's with hotels these days not having bathroom fans? It seems to be a trend. Speaking of doors, I love the sliding barn door to the bathroom. Nice rustic touch. Being that this hotel is brand new, it is super clean and has that new smell to it. Everything seems untouched and clean. Perfect for this COVID pandemic. They even leave a little bottle of hand sanitizer next to the bed, and dispensers all throughout the hotel. Positives: - Busch stadium is literally across the street - New, clean, modern - Lots of USB ports/outlets - Great location - restaurants within walking distance - Nice lounge/restaurant - Fridge & safe - Very friendly, upbeat staff - Transportation was easy. Either walk, use Uber, or the snappy little rentable scooters you can find through the Uber app all over the city. A few nits: - Busch stadium is literally across the street (noisy party outside last night - we needed a noise machine to try to block it out to sleep) - Make parking easier to find (large signs) and fix the sensor so it can pick up tall vehicles - Make it easier (post signs) to get from inside the parking garage to the hotel - Walls aren't very soundproof - I could hear kids giggling from either above or next to us - Service could have been quicker at the Clark & Bourbon bar - No bathroom fan Otherwise, great new hotel!!! You can't beat seeing Busch stadium across the street when you walk outside the main doors. Highly recommend.

Yelp
We were only here to rest our heads but even in the short amount of time that we were here we were thoroughly impressed and it left a good taste in our mouth about St. Louis as a whole. The location is amazing especially if you are a baseball fanatic and also felt safe which is important since we are traveling with a little one. Not only was check in quick (thank god too seeing we arrived after midnight after a full day of travel) but the pet price was reasonable and fair. The topping on the cake though aside from the slight view of the arch from our room, was the little gift of Hello Bello toiletries for our daughter after we requested a crib in the room. It's one thing for a location to say that families and children are welcome, but to think of even the young ones like that showed us that our daughter was in a place that was welcoming to even her which is important to us. Not only will we be recommending visiting St Louis to our friends and family but will be recommending this location as well if they do visit.

Emily D.

Yelp
This was by far my favorite hotel stay ever! The service was wonderful from the second we walked through the front door. Everything we needed was within short walking distance too.

Yelp
This new addition to the downtown Saint Louis area is an absolute GEM!!! It's located in the heart of the city and you'll be sure to have plenty of action. It's steps away from the Cardinals baseball stadium and less than 2 miles from the Blues Stadium. If you're looking to catch a game and have some drinks, Ballpark Village is right outside the hotel. You're guaranteed to have some good food and even better drinks. If you'd like to enjoy some food in the hotel, Clark & Bourbon is your definite go to! Be sure to ask for Matt!! The rooms were very spacious and clean. I will definitely be returning!!

Yelp
I do not recommend this place because they do not have a pool but good service and a gummy bear at your mini is 8$ do not recommend.

Yelp
Nice and clean hotel. Staff is friendly and very attentive. Yummy food and perfect location in downtown St Louis right next to the Cardinals Ballpark!

Yelp
Spends 450 dollars on 2 hotel rooms. We get covid, can't make it and miss the cancellation deadline by 9 minute. SORRY, THERES NOTHING WE CAN DO. BS, refund the money you cheapskates,

Yelp
Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms containing refrigerators but no microwaves. Good water pressure in the shower. $7 for a bottle of water and $6 for gummy bears in the mini bar. Front desk took 20 minutes to answer the phone when I called down with a question. Excellent fitness center with ear buds to listen to your tunes. No scales. Delicious ribeye, asparagus, and cocktails in the beautiful restaurant but no Moscato. The bartender was extremely busy so service was slow at 7pm on a Monday. This hotel charges $30 for parking in a lot with a sign that clearly says $25 parking.

D D.

Yelp
Hair left on the toilet. Picked taken upon the arrival to our room. Did not feel confident in the cleanliness of our room.

Angela G.

Yelp
The hotel itself was great. Comfortable and convenient. The service however was absolutely terrible from check in until well after check out. Check in was scheduled for 4:00. We arrived right at 4:00, but our room was not ready. Their immediate solution was to downgrade my room. I refused the downgrade due to the fact that the ballpark view was the entire reason I booked the hotel. I was told our room should be ready shortly and I would recieve a text when it was ready. After an hour of not receiving a text, I went back to the front desk to discover our room was ready. This process made us late for our scheduled plans that evening. After check out, I realized I had left my rings in the room. I immediately called the front desk and asked them to go upstairs to get the rings and leave them at the desk for me. They stated they would, but an hour later we were told that no one went to the room to get my rings and we'd have to wait for housekeeping to turn the rings in. Several hours past only for us to be told housekeeping never turned anything in. After 48 hours and 8 phone calls, I was finally connected to a director. The director called me back after investigating only to tell me, my rings were no where to be found. At this time I have been offered zero resolution for this issue.

Yelp
We recently dined here for Valentine's Day. The atmosphere is dreamy and staff was beyond kind and attentive. The food left a little to be desired, especially for the price.

Yelp
Best hotel ever! There is nothing bad that I can say about this Hotel! The service is impeccable!! And I travel a lot .. I never had that kind of VIP service! Front desk, restaurant everybody is so nice and sooo professional! I had an amazing time here. I strongly recommend this place!! Thank you so much for everything!!

Yelp
They seemed out of many items in the restaurant (Clark and Bourbon) for brunch. Our server was very nice but it was way overpriced for food that wasn't good at all. We ended up leaving early-

Quriss P.

Yelp
The location is great and the staff is friendly. I've stayed here on two separate occasions and both times the rooms weren't clean. The first stay I had to switch rooms four times and finally settled on a room after the front desk personnel cleaned the room. I was told that housekeeping was not available after 3 pm in February 2021. The front desk did give me a credit at the restaurant for the inconvenience. The second stay, in June 2021, the hotel was packed because of a baseball game and the room was not cleaned. I asked for housekeeping to clean and they did a little spot cleaning but there were still obvious areas that needed attention. I purchased cleaning supplies and cleaned. The rooms are a bit pricey so there should not be a cleaning issue on two separate occasions. If they improve their housekeeping/cleaning this would be the best hotel in the area.

Arielle P.

Yelp
Staff was nice and I enjoyed the atmosphere. The location is great. Going to give this place another shot on a different day.

Yelp
This place sucks!!!! We sat down and waited 15 minutes to get a drink and nobody ever waited on us so we just left! We will never be back! What a dump!

Yelp
If you like phenomenal food, wonderful people and an awesome environment, it would do your great good to head over as soon as possible, you'll thank me later!

Yelp
Was so excited to stay here. The whole baseball and Cardinals theme is great. Room layout also great. Our room was not clean. The floors were so dirty. Thank goodness I had Clorox wipes and was able to wipe them. Loews in Chicago are much nicer.
