Live Free Hostel Rishikesh

I had a wonderful stay at Live Free Hostel! The atmosphere is super chill and perfect for both solo travelers and groups. A big thanks to Anol and Divyangshu they were incredibly helpful and made sure everything went smoothly during my stay. The common area is peaceful and a great place to relax, work, or meet fellow travelers. The overall vibe of the hostel is very smooth and well-managed, making it easy to settle in and feel at home. Located in Tapovan on Laxman Jhula Road, the hostel has a great location with easy access to major attractions, cafes, and adventure points. The café at the hostel is fantastic—great food, nice ambiance, and perfect for chilling out. The staff are all well-behaved, warm, and always willing to help. Another big plus is that they offer trekking gear on rent at very minimal charges, which is super convenient for anyone heading to nearby trails. Just note that a refundable deposit is required for rentals. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for a comfortable, budget-friendly, and traveler-friendly hostel in Rishikesh

This was my first-ever solo trip, and I was a bit skeptical at first. I chose Rishikesh and, like always, booked my stay at Live Free Hostel. My first hostel experience was also with Live Free, and it really set the bar high.||During this trip, I tried staying at another hostel for a day, but I didn’t feel as safe or comfortable. So I came back to Live Free—it’s much cleaner and has a better vibe compared to the others I checked out in Rishikesh.||I made a few good friends during the trip. Even though it was a solo journey and I was being cautious, I ended up meeting some amazing people. Anol, from the hostel team, was super helpful and even invited me to join while they were shooting content for the hostel.||I visited beautiful waterfalls, scenic spots, and cozy cafés. One of the highlights was being featured in Live Free Hostel’s social media content—something I’ve never done before! I also got to be part of their community dinner, which happens every Tuesday. The food was delicious, and the experience was heartwarming

I stayed in the 6-bed dorm and had a great experience. The dorm was quite spacious with a large, clean washroom. The entire place is very clean and hygienic. The host is super friendly and welcoming. It’s also a great spot for remote work, with a nice café that’s perfect for working. The food at the hostel is delicious and definitely worth trying!

Not 5 star aesthetic views but the dorm beds are clean with white sheets that smell fresh and washed. Bathroom is clean, equipped with body wash and shampoo. No towels in dorm room. Every tuesday there is free dinner in the hostel cafe, we had rajma rice raita and roti, extremely yummy and home like food. |I also had besan chilla/ dal/ roti from cafe, yummy and healthy, would definitely recommend for budget travel, try the cafe too, extremely good waiter and good food

I stayed here for 5 days in June 2025. Check-in was a breeze. My room was clean and air conditioned. The desk staff helped me make and book travel plans. On Tuesdays, they host a communal meal - that was nice too. I also liked the common spaces on each floor, and my ability to do laundry in my room and line dry it outside my door. ||The location of Live Free Hostel is ideal. It is close to great eating, great shopping, and the road leading out of Rishikesh. There are coffee shops, spas, and adventure companies nearby too. For convenience and accessibility, it’s hard to beat. ||I would stay here again.

As its primarily a backpacking hostel, hence it needs to be viewed accordingly. We stayed for altogether 3 nights in their premium and deluxe rooms. We found the room and bathroom suitable for the stay period. The room and bathroom were clean, air-conditioner was good, no issues with water availability in the bathroom, and staff service was good. Even the cafe in the premises was good. The hostel is a good option for a backpacking stay.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Fantastic Stay at Live Free Hostel, Rishikesh! I stayed at Live Free Hostel in Rishikesh for 2 nights in March 2025 during my solo trip, and it was an excellent experience! The hostel has a great vibe, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, making it easy to meet fellow travelers. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was delicious. The location is perfect—close to cafes, the Ganges, and all the main attractions. The staff was super helpful and made my stay even better. Highly recommend this place for solo travelers and backpackers. Will definitely stay here again!

I came here solo but took a private room instead of the dorm. People hosting this place are welcoming, hygiene is good, AC works great and the cafe serves hot, tasty and good food - both North Indian and continental. Anol at front office is very approachable. I will surely recommend this place for solo travellers and those who come with friends!!
