A must for live music enthusiasts! If you love Jazz, Indie, Rock and Roll and blues this is a place you cannot miss when visiting Kyoto. The intimate setting combined with people smoking (if you can tolerate this) make for a atmospheric venue which is missing in a lot of today's modern music venues.
Doors open usually around 6pm, sometimes earlier. We didn't have tickets which I think is a must for some of the more popular acts but we're allowed in at slightly inflated charge to the normal ticket price. The ticket comes with a free drink though so it softens the blow slightly. Drinks are reasonably priced and they serve food from an English menu, the food isn't up to much but we didn't come for the food.
Great place to spend a night with some entertainment and they serve some fine whiskey which we enjoyed after the band finished as they stay open for a few hours after. Take a look if you're stuck picking live music to see, you won't regret it.
