Yelp
This studio is a hidden gem!
It's small, but its not crammed, it's cozy. It immaculate and beautiful. They offer community classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which is a great way to get acquainted or get some yoga in when money's tight (although it is tactful to give a donation at least some of the time).
I've taken Sonia and Elyse's class. Sonia also teaches independently under LA Yoga Vita, so go to that Yelp page to read how awesome Sonia is. Elyse turned to yoga to recover from a car accident, which she did with success, so she is a dedicated believer, which shows in her class. I would call it a moderate asana practice, which I like, because it's simple to turn it up or down a notch depending on where I'm at that day. She is very supportive and personable and it really does feel like a *community* class.
After my first class I got a call of welcome from the owner, which was a first for me and a very nice touch. There is definitely a sense of community here that I haven't experienced in any other studio. I'm looking forward to membership in the coming year and trying more of their offerings, which are plentiful!
