Living Stones Church

Wonderful, welcoming church. Our group 8 from Pittsburgh, PA, was warmly greeted for the 7:30 AM service. The message was on James 1:19-27, titled “Listen & Do,” was precisely what we needed, given that on vacation, tempers can easily rise. After the service we had a good time meeting Andrew on of the church elders. Bought a book and a shirt plus some yummy healthy snacks as well ❤️😊

Such an amazing place to fellowship and worship Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! The staff is friendly and the whole experience was just amazing. We attended while vacationing on The Big Island, for Christmas, and we are so glad we did—PTL

I wish I could upload a few videos but coming to this church this morning was such a blessing!! :) I am visiting Hawaii for the first time & I loved the view while watching church outside! So awesome and the message was great. The pastor spoke about faith and Gods healing.

This church was absolutely packed for the 9am service. I was visiting and not sure where to park, so I parked in front of a small market near the church, which I then found out is run by the church. The worship was pretty good, and the message was wonderful: insightful, thought provoking, and very Biblical. The entire service was on large screens--not sure where the worship team or pastor were located. Maybe at another site? People sitting near me were welcoming and the church seems to have a lot of activities and events.

Attended around U.S Thanksgiving from Canada. Really enjoyed the set up and lively activities before the sermon and afterwards. Appreciated the Operation Christmas Child going on. Bill delivered a strong message on being more thankful and grateful. Will absolutely be back

Living Stones has changed my life. We were older Christians who decided to be baptized here , with our 8 yr old , after visiting over consecutive winters. This church, Pastor Bill Barley, the sound of the waves behind you , the power I've felt directly from The Holy Spirit during worship night, the healing i received from Freedom Sessions, the deep lasting friendships from Alpha Classes and subsequent small groups, are all things I am grateful for. When my husband died after a 30 yr marriage, I turned to God and Living Stones when I was broken. I've learned so much since then. Love my church , here in Kona.

The chuch by the Sea is a satellite church, so you are watching it on video screens. The music and the sermon were good. I would definitely go again while visiting Kona.

I've attended as a member now for several years and I still marvel at the depth of Biblical teaching, the vibrant presence of God in worship and the friendly aloha spirit that I find in Living Stones Church. There are 6 services on Sundays including 9am and 10:30am at the newer, Pine Trees location by Kohanaiki where I usually go. I am a musician, so I appreciate the higher level of production and musical excellence the worship teams and technical staff provide - especially for the Christmas Eve event which is always a HUGE event for the Kona community. As a father, I'm so grateful for the over-the-top great job the child-care / Sunday school and youth group workers do. I've never been a part of a Church where I feel that I can unreservedly recommend it to all my friends (Church goers or not)... Living Stones Church has been that place for my family.

Worship was great. The message was wonderful. The pastor gave practical applications to the Scriptures he taught from. They served snacks, water and coffee for everyone to enjoy. The scenery was amazing! We're from CA and we're definitely coming here again next time we visit.

Beautiful location right on the ocean with monthly oceanside water baptism, full submerge! Many activities and opportunities to serve. Super nice folks! The music venue is contemporary, guitar, vocals, drums, keyboards, very rarely hymns.

Visitors are welcome. I walked there, but parking was available across the street. Sit outside as it is on a beautiful spot near the ocean with waves crashing. Or you can sit inside and see the service live, instead of on the screens outside under the tarps. Lively music and message. Excellent hospitality; I was given a lei when I arrived. Refreshments are served. I'm so glad I took the time to make this a part of my vacation to the Big Island while staying at Kona Coast Resort. Casual dress is fine.

Great church in a beautiful atmosphere on the ocean. You can enjoy the service indoors or outdoors. Bible based message not pandering to modern culture but preaching truth.

Very beautiful scenery with Great Worship and solid word. I have been 4 times over the years when I have been in the big island.

Wow -- biggest d-bags. Starting around 7:30am, these selfish, oblivious morons blast music loud enough to be heard for a mile around.

I'm sure this a nice church and all, but I found it disrespectful of others. They began by practicing music at 6:30am with outdoor loud speakers turned on even though no one was outside. Seems a but self-centered not to consider neighbors so early in the morning. Please just turn off the outdoor speakers until services begin and we can all enjoy god's earth.

I go early to the first service to listen to the worship teams and help set up. The first service is more like a family. The worship teams are professional and the Word is relevant

Loved attending while in Kona. I downloaded their app to hear more preaching. Extremely welcoming to all. The preaching was solid and invited all to follow Jesus. It was a deep message like we are used to from our home church. They didn't pander to this world. The setting was exceptional and made God's word even more relevant. The music was inviting and well done. Contemporary but not too repetitive. Overflow seating outside made the church extra comfortable and inviting. No one had to stand. Elders were available to answer questions. Lots of families with young children too

Excellent preaching (solid Biblical basis), friendly people, wonderful worship and you can sit right by the ocean. Highly recommended for all ages, whether visiting or living on the island!

Run, don't walk, to this church if you are in Kona! There are mature leaders & an ever growing in faith community of people focused on the firm foundation of the Bible. There is power in the name of Jesus for whoever you are and support for whatever you face.

We were married here 4 years ago. Didn't have the chance to attend an actual service while there but were married by an amazing pastor and worship leader there. Everyone there was so friendly and welcoming. The church itself and the grounds and the view are just beautiful. It is an old stone church right on the ocean. Super affordable intimate Oceanside church Hawaiian wedding ceremony venue. Recommended Royal Kona Resort for the reception.

it was great the pastor was great me and husband were vistiing parents and we vist this church it was great i sat inside while my husband and dad sat outside it was a service and people are very nice and i love the worship songs

In September while visiting Hawaii I visited and warmly welcomed. The setting is on a beautiful coastal spot which enhances the overall experience. Pastor Bill Barley delivered a biblically based message challenging those present to live according to the gospel of Jesus Christ. The music was inspirational and the worship was rich with individual expression but very appropriate even for this conservative worshiper from the middle of the US. If I return to Kona I will surely return.

Wonderful location on the ocean . Casual and comfortable like you would expect in Hawaii. The teaching from the pastor is Exellent , Biblical and full gospel. You will will feel welcomed blessed by the service . You can sit inside or out by the ocean. They seem to have a great children's Ministery during the services. We always plan our trip to the Big Island so we can be there two Sudays. You can check it out on line if you google Livingstones, Kona.
