Stayed on a weekday in the firefly cabin. The property itself is so beautiful and secluded- truly makes for the perfect escape from the city. The owners are very responsive and attentive! Highly recommended any of the accommodations here.

This is a great place to go and have fun and relax. When we went, we went fishing down at the river and caught three big catfish and then at night we sat around the fire and cooked sausages. Everything was very clean and everything worked. Very pleased with our stay.

We did a last minute booking here, due to our car over heating and it was the highlight of our trip! Place was amazing and offered so much! We actually are planning to come back with family and stay there for the weekend 👌🏽🤩

Living waters was an absolute fever dream. The space surrounding our tent has lights hanging from the trees. The tent was super comfortable and clean. We came in October and the lake was quiet and made for a wonderful morning sitting on the deck. A great place to stay, we wish we were staying longer!!

We loved our anniversary stay in the romantic red cabin. The grounds are both rustic and elegant, overall a luxuriously mindful aesthetic. The river swim felt amazing. So did the sit by the waterfall on the way up the natural stone staircase on the way back to our cabin. This was a perfect spot to reconnect with one another.

We had the whole property for a group of friends (and our kids) to get away! We were in Romantic Red, our kids stayed in The Bunk House, and the other families we traveled with occupied the majority of the remaining rooms/tents. || ||The property is gorgeous! So peaceful. There was room for the kids to play soccer while the adults sat around the picnic table and chatted. ||||We went down to the dock and did some fishing. There is a beautiful view of Lake Travis both from the property where the rooms are as well as once you head down to the dock. ||||We had a family style dinner in the main house and built a campfire to roasted marshmallows for smores. ||||While our family camps quite frequently, it was nice to be able to have a similar experience (quiet, connected with nature, ability to disconnect and just have good conversations and laughs) while being with some friends who much prefer the glamping experience! ||||The property was well maintained. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable! ||||We were there in December so it was a little chilly for water activities, but would certainly return when we could use the paddle boards!||||I would highly recommend for a group glamping trip!

My partner and I stayed in the Loft for a birthday get away. The place was just as described if not better. Since we were trying to practice social distancing we planned to cook all of our food while staying here. The kitchenette and the outdoor grill was stocked with all the basics we needed and was perfect for cooking the simple meals we planned. Getting up and down the ladder in the Loft seemed intimidating at first since it was taller than I expected, but it turned out to be pretty easy. The only issue was trying to not wake up my partner in the middle of the night if I needed to use the restroom. The bathroom in the Loft is pretty small, which for us was no big deal, but others might find it difficult to navigate comfortably. The floating cabin and lake were great. We rented a canoe and while paddling around at sunset we saw one of the neighbors feeding 14 deer. It was a wonderful piece of nature that we do not get to see in Houston. Because of social distancing, we did not take advantage of the other amenities like the yoga or near by vineyard but we will definitely be returning in the future so we hope to try them out then. All in all, I would recommend this place highly.

Stayed here for two nights last week with my husband and our 2 year old. It was our daughter's first camping trip. This place is AMAZING. Right by the water where you can swim, rent all kinds of boats and jet-ski's. Quiet, peaceful, beautiful zen-stone garden, places to grill and build campfires. Our travel crib fit in the love-shack tent which was equipped with AC and cosy lights. It really did feel like being in a hotel room and being out in nature at the same time. It also had a private outdoor shower and sink. Would highly recommend this place, especially now during covid times. It felt so refreshing to be somewhere else and spend so much time outdoors, just watching our toddler play with all the outdoor games (for adults - but toddler friendly) that were available and enjoy nature.

Yelp
Wedding venue of my dreams. If you are looking for a venue where you have to do minimal touches because the venue itself in its natural state is already so beautiful, then you've found it. Every detail of this place is absolutely gorgeous. My husband and I were married here in April 2024 and we seriously talk about this venue and all of its magic at least once a week since then. We wanted to have a small intimate gathering that had a very organic look. In the spring, this place really comes to life, the birds, the butterflies, the way the light shines through the windows in La Casa De Joy, everything felt like a fairytale. The venue is tucked away in a sweet lakeside neighborhood as well so the drive there in the spring is country roads lined with wildflowers and bluebonnets which was an added plus. We rented the entire venue and had some guests stay in the other houses on the property while we stayed in La Casa De Joy and everyone absolutely loved it. We heard nothing but positive things from every guest. Such a unique venue. Not to mention, Travis, the property manager was an absolute delight to work with. Really so so kind and understanding of our wants and needs and was truly there to answer any questions we had. We will definitely be coming back to relive our wedding day each year with a stay at La Casa De Joy. Truly such a gem of an experience. My highest recommendations to anyone looking to relax, reconnect, breathe and just be present. Go to this place!!

Yelp
Just stopped in for a wedding, this place is so cute. It was perfect! I'm trying to find a reason to come back.

Yelp
The day of my reservation I still hadn't been sent check in details. I messaged and called the property manager at 6 and 7 pm, and was told he was driving but would send the instructions via text. By 9pm I still hadn't received the text, so I called again with no answer. I received the text instructions at 10:19pm, at which point I had already pulled over and booked another room. I responded that this was totally unprofessional and unacceptable and was told I'd receive a full refund. Days later when I inquired about my refund, I was told the owners felt there was nothing stopping me from going to the room and refused to refund me. The property manager said he'd shared all of the information I needed, but he couldn't even tell me on the phone which room I had. I cannot believe that after the experience I had, having to hound the property manager to provide information that should have been provided days prior, and having to find alternate accommodations on the side of the road, they have the gall to do anything but apologize profusely and issue a full refund. Instead I'm having to waste more of my time on the phone trying to resolve this.

Yelp
We had been meaning to stay here for some time. After two months of stay at home due to COVID-19 we decided to go for my wife and daughters birthday celebrations. Only a 30 minute drive from our home in South Austin so no stress there. We stayed in the new glamping tent and really enjoyed it. Was peaceful and we slept well. So nice to spend 3 days just doing nothing and being outdoors. Don't forget to bring some firewood for a fire in the evening and to make s'mores. Highly recommended. Five stars.

Yelp
Wow. This place is nothing short of a heavenly retreat. My boyfriend and I booked a weekend stay here for Valentine's Day at the Romantic Red cabin and we were completely floored when we arrived. The cabin has a bed and modern amenities- a microwave, mini-fridge, wifi, elctric outlets, and a bathroom with a shower in a separate building (only 5 feet away, so not far). Despite the freezing and dreary weather, our room within the cabin had heaters turned on and salt put on the stairs so we wouldn't slip. There was also snacks and complimentary water bottles for us. It was too cold for us to go boating or fishing, but we were able to roast some s'mores and get some much needed relaxation. I cannot imagine a more peaceful and tranquil place. The place is located in an isolated area, so we could hear the birds sing and wind chimes tinkle all day. We could even see the stars at night. Some important things to note is that there are other buildings within the area that can accommodate other guests, but we were the only guests there. It is pitch black at night, so bring flashlights and lamps. A lamp was provided in the cabin, but we realized another one would help. Also, the walkway towards the lake is a bit steep and not for those with mobility issues. That is why I included my boyfriend in the photo for reference. We are in love with this place and cannot wait to come back!

Yelp
My experience at Living Waters on Lake Travis- La Casa De Joy was PURE MISERY. This was the worst vacation rental that I've ever stayed at. I was terrorized by bugs and constantly bitten by bugs for the 5 nights/6 days I was there (which would've been 7 nights, had we not gotten terribly bit at night and checked out 2 nights early). My poor 68 year old mother got assaulted by spiders when sleeping here and got 7 massive painful bites. She even had to visit her doctor to get two prescriptions for the bites. Living Waters is touting amenities that they do not have, and not letting people know that they don't have the amenities UNTIL AFTER THEY BOOK. I find this very unethical. I personally thoroughly read descriptions, etc. when choosing places to stay and by the time I chose this property (based on the amenities I thought they had, etc.), I didn't want to spend more time to find a different property. I feel conned and taken advantage of by this. In my opinion, Living Waters not being transparent about amenities in their online descriptions (prior to making a reservation), is quite deceptive and manipulative. Details on this below. When I initially booked this vacation rental in March, I was under the impression that the house had a private jacuzzi per the descriptions that I read online. Once I booked the rental, I received an email stating that the jacuzzi is actually not working. I called the manager to chat more about the property and he said the jacuzzi hadn't been working since Fall 2020 and that it's possible that the jacuzzi will be replaced by the time of our trip in early May 2021 (which it wasn't). The manager also asked me where I read about the jacuzzi so that he can remove mention of it online. I told him that I read of the jacuzzi on the Living Waters website, and as of 5/15/21, the jacuzzi is STILL listed as an amenity on the Living Waters website- La Casa De Joy property description. If the jacuzzi had not been working since Fall 2020, I don't understand why they ARE STILL promoting this as an amenity, and even when I told the manager where I saw the mention of the jacuzzi, it still wasn't removed. An important item of note is that other amenities that Living Waters touts in their descriptions (yoga classes, massages, energetic healing), haven't been available since at least 4/7/21, however Living Waters is STILL touting these in their online descriptions, including Airbnb, VRBO, and their website, as of 5/15/21. The La Casa De Joy house is promoted as luxurious and peaceful. I didn't experience this. It was not relaxing for me or luxurious in the slightest. The living room furniture is very old and worn (sags when you sit on it). It seemed very unclean. The bedroom mattress is clearly old and sags. The outdoor furniture is dirty, old, and rusted. I had to wipe down furniture outside that I used because it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years- cobwebs and all. There were so many bugs outside on the patio, two even flew into my hair. I couldn't even enjoy a drink INSIDE the house without tons of bugs flying into it. The bathrooms are vintage and unclean. There was even a spider in the downstairs shower when I was using it. My "vacation" here was all about being attacked by bugs and killing bugs. I expected walking trails on the property due to the Living Waters description. I didn't see walking trails aside from those leading to the river (which I wouldn't swim in due to the murkiness) or to sitting areas including the La Casa De Joy deck (which wasn't in the best shape and even had random rusted nails out). The floating cabin that was highlighted in the property description by Living Waters had a potent musty smell (so much that we had to cover our noses when walking through it), and it was dirty, had cobwebs, and not maintained. Living Waters mentions a pond on property. I saw a very small pond with black water in front of the house. I didn't see fish in it. Living Waters also mentions an herb garden that is on property. I didn't see an herb garden. If there is an herb garden on property, it must be very small because it did not stand out enough for me to see it. The house isn't secluded as the Living Waters eco houses and tents are in close proximity to La Casa De Joy. When on the porch, we heard other people on the property speak since they're so close. Long story short, Living Waters on Lake Travis- La Casa De Joy is much different than I thought it would be. I wish we would've stayed elsewhere. We were counting down the days to going to here and I was ready to run for my life from this place. We got home with awful painful bite marks, itching, exhausted, stressed, feeling like we just went through a huge battle, and needing a REAL vacation.

Yelp
I am beyond thrilled that we spent our anniversary in LWOLT. The experience is truly like no other. We stayed in the Romantic Red Eco Cabin which includes a detached bathroom & wine deck next door. The cabin was a perfect size, filled with a large bed, a bin of snacks & water, and more kitchen offerings than I could have possibly expected. There was a mini fridge, microwave, toaster oven, pans, small array of basic seasonings, coffee, tea, etc. We took advantage of the nice weather to bbq and were pleased with the convenient location of the grills just outside our cabin. The bathroom boasts an extra large tub, perfect for lighting some candles and sipping some drinks while you drift into perfect relaxation. The wine deck is one of the best spots to just kick back and relax while you enjoy the outdoors, and if you're outside late enough, you'll catch a great view of the deer in the area. There are hammocks throughout the property and a nice open field where we were able to frisbee and enjoy the space. A place like this definitely had me weary of the bugs we would encounter but we were honestly only bugged by pesky little flys once we cooked some food. The trek down to the floating cabin is definitely one to be careful of but once you are down there, boy is it a sight. It is a breathtaking view that will keep you staring in awe for hours on end so grab a seat on the floating cabin and enjoy! Our cabin had a journal to check in and leave notes about your stay which is such a sweet offering so be sure to leave your mark on your next visit! Thank you to everyone at LWOLT for your efforts to run such a wonderful vacation spot. It was such a unique stay & we most definitely will be back!

Yelp
I was looking for a place to have a bachelorette party/getaway when I came across a listing for the Eco-Cabins; I initially booked this through GlampingHub, so this review will be there as well :) After looking at the options I booked the Red Room Cabin and the Blue Loft for myself and four others. Todd (property manager, on-site massage therapist, and all around genuinely amazing and super-nice human being) contacted me immediately after booking. We got some details hashed out in terms of arrival time, options for the massages, and basically just scheduling things. Due to scheduling we were only able to stay for one night, but Todd worked with us to make it happen. We were interested in doing the Girls Weekend package, which includes an hour of massage, a wine tasting at Stone House Vineyard, and a private group yoga session, so he gave information about that as well. Surroundings: The drive to the location was calming in itself, passing hills and fields and animals. Upon arrival, I contacted Todd and he met us and showed us where to park. Parking is available right around the corner behind the property fence, with openings to walk right to the Eco-Cabins. This entire property is beautiful - it's a charming and peaceful environment with so many options for places to sit and breathe, relax, think, chat with friends, or just listen to nature. We were there for less than an hour before deciding we will definitely return in the future, and even started planning another weekend stay for later this year. There are some hammocks to lay on, a small swing, and a covered pavilion with some couch seating. There are also roaming dogs in the area that came onto the property a few times, which was so cute! Lake: With a short walk down the driveway, you hit water! The view is beautiful of course - especially at sunset and in the morning. The water was pretty high when we were there, so to get from the driveway area to the floating cabin we needed to wade through a few inches of water. Being super-smart and definitely feeling invincible at the time, I accidentally fell in - but it felt great! Thanks Mid-February Texas weather! :) I really wish I'd brought a swimsuit, but that'll just have to be a next-time thing. The lake cabin has a couple seats as well, and we sat there for a bit just looking out at the water and occasionally waving at people passing by on their boats. We saw kayaks stored near there as well, and I think they're available to rent, which would be great! Cabins: We booked Red Room and Blue Loft. Both were super cute! The Red Room has room for two to sleep, has a detached bathroom, and a private seating area up the stairs where you can just sit and breathe and observe for a while. We only used the fridge and some glasses, but I believe there were some things available if you wanted to cook something. The Blue Loft has a small kitchenette with basics available as well, and it has room for four to sleep. Outside the cabins there are seats and a small table. There's also space between the cabins to do a small campfire, with all the things needed - we didn't use this but we will next time. Massages: There is a massage room on site. We each had a one-hour massage session with Todd. It was my first massage ever, but I feel like his approach was perfect. He has a very client-drive mindset, and I feel like he listened to what my body/muscles/joints was telling him. He explained the process beforehand and made sure I was comfortable with everything, and gave tips on how to breathe through any discomfort. I felt amazing afterwards! He also told me after where he felt the tension and stress being carried. It was honestly incredible; there aren't enough words to describe it! Yoga: We did our yoga session on Sunday around 11am. It was amazing as well! The instructor (I'm so sorry I forgot her name!) was very knowledgeable about yoga and the body and connecting with breathing, which I really appreciated. The session was perfect - we were outdoors, there were wind chimes being struck, the lake in the background, great company and amazing instructor... just perfect. Wine Tasting: The vineyard is a short drive away (less than five minutes), and it was very nice as well. We tried I think 6 different wines, bought a cheese plate (not included in LWOLT package) and bought a bottle of wine (also not included) to take back with us. The sun started setting while we were here, and we took a few pictures :) Checkout: Easy breezy, we just took our trash out and put it in the trashcan, tried to leave everything how it was when we arrived, and said goodbye + see ya later to Todd. Overall - super impressed, glad we booked here for bachelorette weekend getaway, and wish I could go back again and stay for more time. TL;DR Bride + bridesmaids booked here and did the Girls Weekend Package (massage, wine tasting, yoga). Living Waters on Lake Travis is absolutely worth it; I highly recommend it, and we will all be returning!

Yelp
Coming from an apartment in town, living in one of the flattest cities in the U.S (Houston, that is) this place was refreshing! During our time, we stayed in the blue and red cabin, comfortably sleeping 5 people. There is a kitchenette with basic items, so you just bring the food! All you need is a bottle of wine or 2, your swimsuit, a camera, and an open mind....leave the stress at home, this place is wonderful. You're not going to want to go back to real life. Thank you so much Todd!

Austin A.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I stayed at the romantic red cabin early June and we absolutely love the peace and quiet we had. Travis accommodated for us and made our experience smooth by being easily accessible when needed. We even got the chance to canoe and explore the lake!! Great experience, couples will enjoy it here for a getaway

Yelp
My wife and I rented out the red cabin for one night. The only regret we have is that we didn't rent it out for 2 nights. Yes the room and the restroom are separated by 3 steps but that was not a big deal at all. Upon arrival we immediately fell I love with the room and the entire location. The room is extremely cozy and has everything you would need of you take your food to cook. The red cabin has a fridge, microwave, toaster oven and a single stove top. Right outside there are two charcoal pits and one propane pit. There is also a nice little selection of snacks in a basket and coffee with powdered creamer and different sugars available. Tea packets are also there. The bed is very comfortable with pillows and blankets. There are extra blankets behind the bed in wooden basket as well. Bathrobes and hangers are also provided. The oversized bathtub is perfect for sitting in, relaxing and having a couple beers or glasses of wine. Around the camp there are plenty of places to sit including chairs and hammocks. The most relaxing spot is the two chairs right next to the stream of water. The walk down to the lake is not far but very coming back up could be a struggle for elderly or those who are not in very good shape. The top deck above the restroom is great. You can see down on the rest of the area. My wife and I will definitely be coming back. It's great to know that such an amazing vacation getaway is only 1 1/2 hour from us.

Jose Q.

Yelp
First time visiting this facility and I guarantee you will not be my last the peace and quiet that's occasionally interrupted every now and again by passing boats and jet skis is minimal the peace however is phenomenal. Welcoming staff is par for the course, the facility is a little out of the way from everything "Austin", but that's why we're here. Wine & bbq is minutes away and I couldn't be happier!

Cheyne T.

Yelp
Living waters was the venue for my sisters wedding. It was the most amazing experience. This property is truly magical. We had about 30 swedes fly in for the wedding and they were in awe of the beauty. You can tell there is love poured into the land, Todd truly puts his all into it and it shows! It's absolutely an incredible wonderful place to visit or host an event of any kind! Do yourself a favor and get away for a while to living waters. It is absolutely worth it!

Kayla R.

Yelp
All I have to say is...WOW! I was looking for a getaway close to Austin for my fiance's 25th birthday, and Todd's property was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! My fiance, friends and I who stayed here were blown away! We stayed in The Loft tiny house and had such a great experience that we can't wait to keep coming back and try all the different houses on the property. The location is beautiful, secluded, tranquil and perfect since it's on the water. It's also pet-friendly, so we will definitely bring our doggie next time. We were able to hop right into our kayaks and even sat next to the waterfall for a fun reading spot on the property. The stars at night are extremely visible too since you're further away from the bright city lights, which was an amazing thing to see. The amenities are substantial as well: a firepit for s'mores, a charcoal and gas grill (which we used every night), hammocks all around, a full kitchen equipped with a stove, dishes, sink, and decent size refrigerator, and a bathroom stocked with all the necessities. Communication was great - Todd was very quick to respond and very accommodating. The check-in process was simple and check-out was straightforward. Parking is easy and right outside of the complex, and trash is just out back. Overall, if you're looking for a unique, fun, hidden-gem, Living Waters on Lake Travis is your place! Thank you to Todd for such an unforgettable weekend - can't wait to come back!

Monica S.

Yelp
Words simply can't express the magic at this place. It is peaceful, serene, and filled with joy. Todd is a wonderful host, and he embodies the same serene peace that is felt in the home. We loved it so much that we extended our stay for another night! We will definitely be back. Don't forget to schedule a massage with Todd for ultimate relaxation. Todd-thank you so much for your hospitality!

Natalia G.

Yelp
We stayed there for Christmas and it was perfect. Todd allowed us to bring our dogs along for an extra fee. We rented the whole place- all 4 cabins and the main house The main house has a full kitchen and has everything you will need even if you are an experienced chef. The only suggestion would be to prepare some welcome instructions on where to locate the heaters. We thought there were none in the cabins and almost froze at night- finally found them on the 3rd day after speaking to Todd! He was very responsive and helpful when making the reservation and later.

Brittany R.

Yelp
Honestly one of the worst experiences I've ever had from a customer service standpoint. I booked a stay at this establishment but unfortunately had to cancel due to weather in my area and could no longer go. When I called to attempt to have the reservation canceled, Todd, the property manager and masseuse initially told me I could get a full refund but later called back and said I wasn't within the 60 day refund policy and all but refused to listen to me, at one point insinuating that what I was saying wasn't truthful. The amount they offered to refund is completely laughable. I spent nearly nearly $600 on a 3 night stay, and they offered me less half for a refund for something that was completely and totally out of my control. Through my interactions with Todd, and the fact that the owner would not return my calls proved that Living Waters on Lake Travis only cares about their own bottom line. I'm here to tell anyone who will listen that this place is trash!

Lisa C.

Yelp
To call this place peaceful, relaxing, or refreshing does not do it justice. Maybe Renewing would be a good word. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The facilities here are wonderful. The communication with management was flawless. I booked via Home Away and it was a great experience. This remote facility will exactly suit people who want to feel like they are miles from the rat-race. Our stay was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed The Cottage Upstairs. The Cottage is comfortable and inviting. Other facilities are available, including EcoCabins. Check them out on Facebook or Home Away tor the details. Our favorite amenity was the boat house. It is no longer floating because of water levels on Lake Travis, but it is just on the water and gave us a quiet and relaxing place to just sit and vegitate. We also made use of the terraced seating and enjoyed reading up there or just chatting. I highly recommend this spot for your vacation where you just want to be away from it all.

Alison B.

Yelp
Grab some of your favorite people and take a trip here. Visit the winery. Take the yoga class and sign up for the massage! It is an incredible experience and Todd is very responsive and helpful. This was a getaway like no other. We will be back!

Vrushali S.

Yelp
Our stay was just fabulous. We were here for our anniversary weekend. The place is ecofriendly, quiet, and so close to nature. We even saw deer and owl in the area Todd was a great host. We stayed in the blue cabin, but we got a tour of the empty cabins and the main house. All the cabins were unique and super clean. The main house is a must see place. The cabin on lake is spectacular with a beautiful view. I cannot wait to come back again.

Lori S.

Yelp
Wonderful place. Todd is awesome! He was easy to work during the reservation process- very responsive by phone and email. During our stay he made us feel very welcome, he was a great host! He was available if we needed anything, but gave us lots of space to enjoy our stay. You can tell immediately after meeting Todd that he is just a kind, gentle, fun person. He has a peaceful way about him that makes you feel at ease and very comfortable! The yoga was great. No one in our group regularly does yoga. The instructor made us feel 100 percent comfortable! She did not care that we did not know what we were doing and taught us something new! Everyone LOVED their massage, we kept talking about it and trying to figure out when we could come get another one! Todd gave the massages. It was the best message I have ever had! It was completely tailored to my needs. Not only was it the best massage from skills standpoint, but best from a "bedside manner/ being comfortable" standpoint as well. If you don't get a massage during your stay here, you are missing out! The floating cabin is a nice touch! It was fun to float around and play in the water during the day, but get up early and go watch the sun rise and watch all the fish jump! Overall- the experience was great. Everyone made you feel so comfortable! The experience is tailored to the guests. I would recommend it to someone that is 100 percent natural to someone that has never done yoga. Thanks Todd!!! You have a gift for what you do.

Yelp
This place is truly magical! My family and I were there for my sister in laws wedding, and words cannot describe how truly beautiful this place is. From the well kept grounds, the unique cabins, and the best manager in the world- Todd, this was truly a unique experience. The water in the shower and running through the property has a calming quality that is amazing. Todd makes you feel like family from the time you arrive, accommodating and welcoming. I cannot wait to return.

Yelp
We had a great time at Living Waters for just a quick one night get away from Austin. The view of the river is amazing, I can't imagine how fun it would be during the summer!

The main house at Living Waters is absolutely beautiful! The views of the lake and beautiful backyard are so nice. You can sit on the back porch and watch butterflies, hummingbirds and cardinals dance around. There are deer in the yard in early morning. The property manager, Todd, is extremely kind and hospitable. He made our stay easy and relaxing!

Yelp
It's been a few YEARS since I hopped on Yelp to write a review. It's not because I haven't been to some amazing places. Maybe it's because I'm blessed to have reeeeaaally good taste, therefore, I'm accustomed to great places with fantastic service. (Okay. It's also possible I drag my feet sometimes, too.) But I work really hard, travel both stateside & abroad, and try my best to spend my time in a meaningful atmosphere. I realize that peace doesn't just "happen." You must pursue peace. My experience at Living Waters has inspired me to take some time to let another human know that there's a very special place that they can go to recharge, unwind, and reclaim whatever it is that drove them here to Yelp... looking for such places. I have a small company which holds quartely teambuilding retreats. We've held them in New Mexico, Chicago, but mostly near Austin to make it easy on our teammates. Our retreats consist of lots of delicious food (our clients cooked us an authentic Columbian breakfast in the beautiful fully-equipped kitchen!) and various exercises that help us get more connected with each other. Because we rented the whole property, the discoveries were endless. We had Austin's beloved teambuilder pro, Dr. Bob Beare come teach a session in the yoga area, which was great, because he got us moving & sweating! We also spent time on the pier off the floating cabin with our feet in the water talking the night away. Others brought an adult beverage onto the comfy back porch & relaxed in the hot tub. Some took a nap in their eco-cabin or watched a movie. Although I never used the glorious bathtub (with an adjacent dual-sided fireplace) in the main house, I did look through the telescope atop the winding staircase in "the viewing tower." The bottom line? Every single person left Living Waters with something new and better than they came with. If you're thinking wedding, reunion, retreat, or TREAT TO YOURSELF... this is it. After our company event was over, and everyone went home, I did something. Shhhh... I stayed in the blue eco-cabin for another night!! HAAAA!! I sure 'nuff did!! This is when I was especially blown away by the incredible staff, especially Rosie and Todd. Of course, I had misplaced a pot - A COOKING POT - in the bale house from the italian dinner we had the previous night. Rosie kindly and patiently allowed me to look for it, chatting with me about things that made it clear that she is a true jewel. Then you have Todd. Todd was the first person from Living Waters I met many weeks prior to our stay, because I wanted to take a peek at the property before booking. Besides dealing with my goofy schedule and e-mails from the get-go, he also extended a number of "This-isn't-part-of-the-package-but-we'll-do-it-anyways" to my stay. A) Todd let me have a late checkout. Twice. B) He took pictures of a skink we found in the garden. It's a real thing. Google it: skink. C) Somehow a key was lost and he gifted us with understanding and some more understanding. WHO DOES THIS?! WHO HAS ALL THIS?! On three: One...two... LIVING WATERS ON LAKE TRAVIS!! It goes without saying I will be back, with and without my work buddies. I had my eyes on those kayaks you can rent. That will be on my "to do" list.

Yelp
My daughter and her new husband chose Living Waters as the place they were going to start their marriage. The home, the cabins, and the grounds are so welcoming and soulful! You instantly feel a calming and loving energy from all the beautiful art, nature, and the design of this venue! Todd, the property manager, From the beginning was always very accommodating and willing to help my daughter and her fiancé create the wedding experience they dreamed of having. He opened the property to them several times for them to come out and do their planning and he spent several hours walking them through the property and answering any questions they had.He was unable to be on the property for the whole weekend, but made sure that he had a very capable assistant, Louie, who was a great help and always available. We had 80 guests, many from Sweden, never having visited Central Texas in the middle of summer, and all share that they were very comfortable. The wedding party continued late into the night and many of them were able to utilize the lake swimming and enjoying the boathouse. It was one of the most loving and beautiful experiences that I've had in my lifetime and a large part of it was due to the property and the help of Todd. We plan to have reunions in the future and Living Waters will be our destination.

Yelp
A place of pure magic! My husband and I were fortunate enough to locate Living Waters in a search of wedding venues, and were enchanted immediately when we walked through the gate. We had family and friends who came in from all over Texas and the Midwest. Every last person that attended was touched by the beauty and serenity of this property. Aside from the radiant energy provided here, we were also gifted with the presence of the manager, Todd, who is one of the most gentle and precious souls we have ever had the pleasure of meeting, and now calling friend. We were so positively impacted by his presence that we practically forced him to be a guest at our wedding. Each and every guest who met him made a point to let us know just how wonderful he is. Now, two days later, sitting with my new husband on the back porch of the hay bale home, we are overcome with happiness at how outstandingly perfect our big day was, thanks specifically to Living Waters, Todd, and our fantastic family and friends.

Yelp
If you're looking for a quiet getaway then you should definitely give this place a go. The owner was very hospitable and very responsive about every question from the moment we booked the property. He even let us bring our dog last minute for a small fee. Most importantly he values your privacy.(Never had to see him in person for those that want the privacy) The property itself was gorgeous with little decorations and trinkets. We stayed in the eco blue cabin that gave us a feel for the tiny homes that are beginning to pick up popularity. The cabin was very cozy with nearly everything provided such as plates, cups, towels, etc. It even had a tv with a DVD player and a selection of classics to choose from. There are a few things to do onsite such as rental kayaks and a small bonfire pit. There is a vinyard that is a 5 minute drive away and if you drive out around 20 minutes you can find some bars. There are a few BBQ places around for some good ole Texas BBQ and that is always a plus. Overall, I would say I had a superb experience. So come check it out for yourself. You won't regret it.

Yelp
One word- Todd. He's the property manager and on site massage therapist and has a gift for intuitively knowing how to serve guests in meaningful ways that speak to them. This is not something that can be learned to the expert level he has shown me in the short time I spent here. I work with 5 star hotels in my profession and he is beyond the pale- he is so good at what he does. He took care of my massage and helped me with my tight areas and was generous with him time and care for me. About the facilities- they are wonderfully peaceful and quiet - so many places to sit and enjoy the solitude (I was only person on premise). I came here to get away to do some vision casting for 2017 and it was perfect to really focus. I had everything I needed- just brought some snacks and wine. They give you a heads up to bring groceries if you need to bc they are 30 away from nearest market. It's a great place and will come back for a girls weekend where we can each get our own cabin...!

Yelp
We had our wedding here and the space was perfect. Todd was amazing and very flexible with all the curveballs we sent his way. I would highly recommend this as a wedding venue. We were just looking for a place that had space for guests to stay and we could party outside. We didn't pick this place for the yoga or anything like that we just liked the grounds so I wouldn't let that turn you away if that's of concern. The dock space is awesome. The covered area was a great space for a dance floor. The kitchen is huge and great for prepping food. They had plenty of plates, kitchen equipment, and glassware which was surprising. There were a ton of great spots for the ceremony also. Our dog was very important to us and was our ring bearer. They made an exception for our dog to stay. We rented the whole venue for 3 days and had our wedding for about 50 people and it was very very reasonably priced. I can't say enough positive things about the grounds and the people who run and maintain it. Definitely 5 stars.
