I love the concept. This is a bastion of innovation. A rotating door residency of upcoming chefs honing their craft. One can't knock that. One has to respect that. This is a Marseille institution, after all. But does it mean all the dishes will be a hit? Probably not. Like our cuttlefish - courageously mixed with mole madre and oily sambal - could've been more spicy, but it was tapered back to locals taste. The lamb can be argued to be charred to oblivion and fatty - but I effing loved it anyway. Service was smart, playful, and informative. We absolutely loved the eclectic option of non alcoholic wines. I shall always appreciate what this place stands for. And for that, all is forgiven in its small faults and shortcomings. Like getting asked for cigarettes or seeing a local drug deal as one sits outside. No matter. Come and enjoy the sick food and honest vibe.
