"What to Wear in PDX This is a cool clothing store in the Pearl featuring gear and fashion from a variety of mainstream and boutique brands. The Lizard collections coalesce into a catalog of functional apparel with style and sustainability at the heart of their designs. While the Lounge has a great selection of brands, the real draw for me is the Nau gear. From natural and recycled materials in the fabrics, to the cut and fit of clothes designed for people who move, Nau is an essential part of my packing routine. Their designers once told me they want their clothes to be comfortable—whether the wearer is reaching for a hand hold in a 5-9 pitch or reaching for the top shelf tequila behind the bar. The Nau down shirt was the first of what's become a ubiquitous piece of all-season gear. The Lounge is also known for its own style of events, supporting local, social and environmental causes with food, drink, music, and mingling. Nau also donates a small percentage of each sale to select nonprofits fighting the good fight at the local and global levels. The Lizard Lounge is not just about retail. It's about wearing your way into a better world and so Portland in the process."

Great clothes. The women's selection is more varied than the men's which is mostly just raw denim jeans and Americana shirts, but both are worth a look. They usually have something interesting in the sales too. The prices are up there, but everything they sell is top quality so it's not unreasonable. It's got a cool ambiance and the location is neat. I like that the employees are hands off with customers unless you ask for them.

I was really excited to get into this store when I started working in the Pearl district a block away. When we first came in, my Husband fell in love with the Toad & Co brand and we've bough a dozen shirts for him here as a result. The men's clothing sizes seemed to be pretty typical, and my Husband, who has an athletic build with wide shoulders, can buy his normal size. The jacket we bought he had to size up, but I consider that a normal possibility when buying jackets. The largest mens jeans we can ever find is a 34. A very "tight" 34, as my Husband said. The women's clothing, however, is a different story. I'm a size 10-12, and 5'8 so I'm used to stores like this not having much of a selection for me. But JEEZ----all I could buy here was a button up tunic-style shirt because everything else is so small!! If you have hips, a moderate bust, or lack a thigh-gap, good luck. I should have expected this given how their female associates look. I tried on FIVE of their jeans, even up to a size 30 (their largest size), and nothing fit. The jacket size I normally buy wouldn't zip over my chest here, and the majority of their button ups didn't button over my bust (36D). It was really disappointing to be able to buy so much for my Husband, but nothing for myself because the brands they carry fun so small for women.

This is easily the best place in Portland to shop for jeans, especially raw denim. I knew that. What I didn't know is Josh, the short dude in the blue castro hat, is the best jean fit finder person partner anyone could ever ask for. He brought me pair after pair to try on, giving me advice and talking me out of making bad decisions like fitting for the thigh instead of the waist. At one point, he brought me a pair of jeans that weighed like 5 lbs and told me I'd never lose a denim fight in them. I ended up buying a pair of Raleigh's that look amazing. They also collect more compliments than having a baby or dog. All in all, it was a totally great evening and well worth the time spent. Can't wait to come back. If you go, ask for Josh. Dude will light you up with the deadpan jokes.

I had the pleasure of snagging a pair of Imperial shearers in the Portland, OR location about a month ago.I was super impressed with the staff, products and service I received so it was a no brainier when I planned my trip to Portland, OR that I needed make sure I stopped in here for a few more quality goods. I popped in the store some time in the early afternoon and was greeted and taken care of by Derek. However, this time around I wasn't looking for denim, I wanted to scoop up some serious flannel work shirts for the cold winter that's coming in the near months back in the bean. They didn't have my size in a few of the shirts, but Derek was able to locate my size in the Portland, OR store and they offer free shipping which is always a big plus.Big ups to Kira and the Self Edge crew.As a denim junkie its great to see a place that shares such a passion for denim as its customers. Pretty cool clothing store with a wide variety of men's and women's clothing. Most of the clothing is a bit overpriced, and there arent many options for shorter men. Fortunately there is a clearance sections, which can have great deals at times. There are also smaller gift items like candles.

The Lounge is a phenomenal store. The selection is amazing, the merchandising is a dream, the staff are fabulous, and the manager, Meghan, is a total gem. If my wallet were a little more padded, I would be dressed head-to-toe from this shop. Definitely a must-stop shop!

The clothes were nice, the service was good, but those prices. I want to support local, independent, and socially conscious businesses. But alas, like many other millennials who visit this place and who this place targets, have student loan debt. I hope the idea of places like this doesn't die out.
