Ljmonade Hostel

I unfortunately cannot recommend the hostel. Before making a reservation, I specifically asked for what I was looking for but the reality was way different to what I got told it would be. There was no community or surfer vibes at all, so I wouldn’t come here as a solo traveler. Also, there only is one bathroom (toilet & shower together) on the upper floor and one at reception which sometimes led to a bit of a queue. On my first day, there was no bread available and on the schedule it said free pancake breakfast on the 2nd day which was also not provided. On top of that (not the hostels fault) the person in the bed next to me snorred horribly. After asking for a refund to leave early as the conditions were absolutely not what I got told they would be, I unfortunately got told that this is not possible. The only positive things are the location in Cascais, a very clean kitchen and André from reception who was at least a little supportive.

Amazing! felt very safe here. Rooms very comfortable, and all staff very welcoming. Stayed in a private room, and there was one bathroom (one shower and one toilet) for 3 private rooms. We did have to wait a while sometimes to use the bathroom, but there were other bathrooms around the hostel we could use. Overall, amazing hostel, would stay again!

Fab little hostel. Great location away from the main town but easy walk to the centre, train station, marina and beaches. Clean, shared kitchen and communal area. Great atmosphere.

I stayed here twice ....both times in shared rooms. Both times felt bad vibes of spirits. The last time was the worst ever and another guest shouted out in fear. Experience not to be repeated.

I liked it in total: The hostel is good located and there is a lot of possiblities to connect with other ppl- just the dorms under the roof are super hot and they don‘t have AC!

comfortable, clean. free pancake breakfast on sundays which helped people socialize fan was not effective at cooling down so the rooms were very hot and stuffy at times.

Interesting hostel, with double private room that I used.|On a quiet road and at walking distance from the center.|Shared kitchen, but I didn't use it.|Comfortable rooms and friendly staff, I arrived a day later and I received a full reimbursement, not so common these days. For sure I will go again.

Perfect spot for our stay in cascais. Lovely location out of the busy town, we had a private room which was great value for our trip!
