Interesting museum about the history of Ljubljana/Slovenia. There are interactive displays, “do touch” displays for children and adults alike. You can get 10% off if you can get your hands on one of those paper fans. The coffee shop on site wasn’t worth it, though.

Had a lovely time once again. It's a lovely museum with plenty to see. Could've had a larger collection, but as it is it seems perfect for a short visit of an hour or two.

Interactive museum with a permanent exhibition of the story of the city, worth the price. Around 40 min of traveling through time. We also visit the temporary exhibition about Slovenia in the Second World War.

The Ljubljana City Museum was a pleasure to visit. Having been to many city museums in my time I can say with confidence that this is a good one. This is even with a floor of the museum being closed for renovations during my visit. Ljubljana has a very long history and this museum does a wonderful job of laying that out for you to enjoy. This was a thoroughly enjoyable and educational experience. Also, I’ve been in even more art museums and the presentation of art in the first room on floor two is the best I’ve ever seen. I have never been more drawn into a room with art in it. Amazing place to visit!

One of the best city museums around. Really well thought out with lots of information in chronological order including the must sees which save time. Interactive activities for kids (and big kids). Great cafe downstairs so make sure you stop before or after your visit. Good temporary exhibition on as well. Ps. Not open Mondays. Good for a rainy day!

The history of the city, plus a special exhibit about Ljubljana during WWII. Seeing a 5,200 year old wheel and axel was interesting.

I love this museum! It might seem tiny but they are well planned. (Lockers, toilets, cafe). The permanent exhibtion offers compact history of the city with a lot of different media to enrich the experience. I especially like the music in the last room and the "tests" at the end. The temporary exhibition (from corset to jacket) is refreshing because it gives you a glimpse into history from a different perspective. Highly recommend!!

They have a permanent archeological and historical exhibition. The museum has a lot of interactive displays, including a replica of roman soldiers' equipment that you can try on, an old Yugoslavian car you can sit in. An archeological exhibition has a lot of digital displays with short information, games and quizes. Excelent for history enthusiasts and children. We also visited a temporary exhibition on WW2 and everyday life during that time. That one was quite interesting and interactive as well.
