Ljubljana Resort Hotel & Camp

Good location to visit Ljubljana by bike (20min straight ride). Friendly staff and nice camp spits and toilets and showers are functional but not cleaned regulatory to keep it clean during high season. The swimming pool is not included to the camping and costs with guest discount €9,- after 15:00. Nice place to visit with pool cocktail bar and a live DJ. Overall we enjoyed our 2 days stay!

Avoid Zone A – Noisy and misleading Stayed at Ljubljana Resort Hotel & Camp and had a terrible experience in Zone A. Trains pass right next to the pitches, from 5:00 AM to 11:30 PM – it felt like camping on a train platform. Totally impossible to relax or sleep. Also, the swimming pool is not free – you have to pay extra, which is misleading for a “resort” campsite. ✅ Only good point: the sanitary blocks are clean and modern. ❌ If you’re looking for peace and quiet, look elsewhere. Definitely not coming back.

We enjoyed our stay here - the pitches were spacious and the new restroom facilities were clean! The campground could be improved with stronger WiFi (it barely reached our pitch), and if it were a bit cheaper, both for the pitch and restaurant. I think the fact that it’s the only game in town for camping near Ljubljana means they can charge prices about the same as in the Dolomites. The location is excellent though, right next to a bus stop which gets you straight into the old town with regular service

We were the only ones camping with a tent there and to be said this "camp"is definitely not a camping side. No grass on the ground just mud and sometimes dandelions, one banch intact and one broken. Very friendly stuff who had to put us to a place for caravans. One small play ground well from 90ties. Very old,dangerous rusty swings. I guess playground which would be ok during Tito times but definitely not for 21st century. Paid 37 euro for all that.

Excellent place to stay. I camp there with my tent. Beautiful, clean and comfortable. Toilets were clean, as the most important feature. However, the drinks from the reception is a little on the high side

* WARNING: BED BUGS – ROOM 107. EXTREMELY POOR MANAGEMENT. DO NOT STAY HERE * I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights with my partner and my mum, paying almost €1000 in total — and I left the property covered in bed bug bites, traumatized, and furious at the hotel’s inaction. On the first night, we were assigned Room 107. My partner noticed small, flat insects on the wall — very clearly resembling bed bugs. We didn’t panic, but as a precaution, se slept on the single mattress in the room, while he avoided the main bed. The next morning, we went straight to reception to report it. Their response? “It happens, we’re surrounded by nature.” They also said they would disinfect the room — even though we had explicitly requested either a room change or at least a mattress replacement. Trusting that they would handle it, we stayed in Room 107 for a second night. The next morning, my partner woke up with his entire right side covered in bed bug bites. When we went back to reception, they admitted nothing had been done, and they hadn’t even informed us. After insisting again, they finally moved us to Room 104 for the third and last night. But even then, it took more repeated complaints before they changed us from the original room — and that only happened on the last night (June 21) - but honestly the damage had been done. This is unacceptable on every level. No urgency, no proper pest control, no real concern. Just a vague “sorry, we feel bad.” We spent our days itching, anxious and angry, knowing that a proper response could have prevented all of this. Bed bugs are not a “nature issue” — they require immediate extermination. We had to disinfect all our clothing multiple times, and now we’re left with bites and really discomfort. I have photo evidence of the insects and my partner’s bites, and I am requesting a full refund and reserving the right to pursue legal action for the damage caused. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone — not until they take accountability and sanitize their rooms with the seriousness this issue demands.

We arrived with a camper without booking. The only option given was to park at the parking lot without water and electricity BUT still having to pay the full cover for a water and electricity included pitch. (Parking next to the waste containers) The porch to the river side is closed and you have to walk to the rather creepy river spot through a small path with dirt, dogpoo and trash ... Swimming pool closed / not free for guests. Luckily the host at the reception was helpfull and friendly.

This camping was great, overall very clean and green! Only one less good thing was was the garbage collection, could be more regulary emptied. It looked like a mess. But still gonna give 5 stars, to compensate the 3,5 rating. Free showers and electricity is just great! Also very helpful staff! See you next time!
