"An outlier when it comes to boutique hotels in Singapore, which tend towards tacky decor, Lloyd’s Inn is a 34-room establishment that sports a minimalist and pared-down aesthetic. The raw concrete finishes of the deck and roof terrace juxtapose nicely with the surrounding lawns, trees and shrubs."

Stayed in the Reading Room.||The room is cosy. Ample for 2 persons. The bed is comfortable; however, it could be improved if different types of pillows - soft and firm - were provided.||I love the open-concept, 'outdoor' bathroom. In our highly urbanised environment, it is very rare to listen to bird chirping and rooster crowing when we take a shower. The downside is that the air conditioner has to work very hard due to the incomplete separation between the indoor and outdoor areas. It also means bugs can potentially fly in. Fortunately, it does not seem to be a big issue during our stay.||There is a pantry open 24 hours. Ice, coffee, tea, and Milo (hot chocolate) are freely available to guests. A microwave oven is available. Guests can purchase soft drinks from a vending machine.||The 0.5m deep pools are suitable for dipping only. ||The hotel does not serve breakfast. They provide vouchers that guests can redeem at 2 nearby cafes/coffee shops, about a 5-10 minute walk away. There are many eateries near the hotel, so food shouldn't be a big inconvenience for guests.||The hotel does not have a parking facility. However, public parking is available along the road and at a nearby residence.||Overall, I have enjoyed my stay at Lloyd's Inn, and I will consider this property again if I need a short break in the future.

A quiet corner in the city!! Beautiful hotel, simple and well-kept. Spacious room with everything you need for a short stay. The idea of the partially outdoor bathroom brilliant! The pool corner, although not deep, freshens up from the day around the city. Decent and helpful staff Annie accommodating our stay smoothly. The metro is very convenient and just in a few minutes walk you can reach Orchard and ClarkeQuay. Definitely a great choice.. I would definitely stay again.

This is one of my favourite hotels in Singapore. A green oasis of peace and quiet, smack in the middle of Singapore. A down the hill you’ll find Killiney Road with several delightful restaurants set in historical buildings and at the end of that street you stroll into Orchard Road, between Somerset and Doby Ghaut. Staff is very friendly and helpful in general but I would like to mention Annie especially. With her positive attitude, local knowledge and cheerful attitude she was able to resolve any problem and very much made my stay truly unforgettable. I would very much recommend this hotel for couples and those looking for a relaxing, romantic, and charming urban retreat.

A great place to stay if you ever need a staycay or a vacay away from noise. Rooms were clean and looked beautiful. Service staff were friendly and detail-oriented. Overall, a great place to stay. The only downside is - the location is a little bit out of the way into a quiet neighbourhood where you'd have to walk a decent amount from the nearest mrt station (Somerset). Check it out!

A Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommend! I had an amazing experience at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, everything was perfect. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the entire staff is incredibly friendly and professional. The rooms are spotless, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable. I slept like a dream! The amenities are top-notch, and every little detail is well thought out to make your stay enjoyable. A special mention to Charmaine, who was absolutely wonderful—kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Her hospitality truly made a difference! If you’re looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay, don’t hesitate to book this hotel. Everything was perfect, and I would definitely come back!

Staying at Lloyd’s in was fantastic. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I’d like to thank, Hafiz for checking me in at 1am and then helping after departure when I left one of my suitcases in the room! Oops! ||Housekeeper Juliet always had a smile on her face and was very approachable too. And thanks Sha for allowing me to use the shower at the hotel prior to flying.||The facilities are lovely and the breakfast spot if nice too, I went to the German style option for a pretzel and coffee everyday before heading off to explore. ||Thanks team! Hope to see you soon - Jodie

The room is so clean and tidy. There are tap water to refill your bottle, even microwave to heat up your meal. They really thoughtful about customer experience so we can really enjoy our rest. The ambiance was so peaceful and nature theme like in bali. I really like the lobby's fragrance so niceeee. Sha also really helpful and kind. Will back to stay in lloyd's for sure.

Yelp
Sorry, Lloyd's, you have potential but your rules for room bookings are quite odd and earned you a single star. I don't see how it's possible to run an establishment with the idea that, as a patron booking a room, you're taking a gamble regarding which type bed you may get based on availability. I specifically booked room with two separate beds as we were two friends traveling together, not sleeping together. That aside, the room was clean - 7 on the cleanliness scale. Simple layout with the shower and toilet in an outdoor area which I thought was cool. Our last day, however, with the humidity being through the roof, we had a bunch of tiny mosquitos and flies in the shower area. The wifi started out working well, at least for the first night. After that, it would come up as unsecured network & would not work. New year, new you, Lloyd?

Yelp
One night weeknight stay in March, 2017 at this small, modern style, boutique hotel. Located in a residential district about 10 minutes walk, somewhat uphill, from Orchard Road Somerset MRT station area.Hotel is poorly marked and not that easy to discern at night. Pleasant grounds. Very strong fragrance in lobby area. Friendly staff. Got a "Business" room in hopes of a usable surface for a laptop (check out website room types since other room types may not have a suitable work surface.) Somewhat confusing layout navigating from lobby to room, possibly reflective of hotel being built along a slope. "Business" room I got was ok sized with a loft configuration. Stairs to bed area were ok in width and angle, which can be a problem with some lofts, though no night light so somewhat of an issue if you wanted to go downstairs at night. Atypically the toilet and shower were outside and mostly visible from the room, so possibly not that great if you want toilet or shower privacy. The toilet area had some frosted glass, but was mostly visible from the work desk. Chair at desk positioned close enough to glass wall to shower/toilet area that I kept bumping into the wall. Sink and small counter area in room itself. Towels and amenities were ok. Loft stairway positioned as as to be a head bump hazard and was marked as such. Bed was on a platform that made it somewhat a hassle to get in and out. Upstairs TV turned on with remote, but wouldn't turn off. I finally switched off its power. Lighting was adequate throughout, both ambient and task. Lighting controls were standard though without pilot, so their location wasn't visible in darkness. No night light anywhere in the room. Couldn't get the hotel wifi to work with my Chromebook, though no problem with two different Android phones I brought along. I reported to Management, but we were unable to resolve the issue. The Chromebook reported a security issue, though the Android phones did not. Water in Singapore is safe to drink, but bottled water was also provided. A small vending machine selection was available. Breakfast, as mentioned on the website but not made clear that I saw before booking or in the confirmation, is about 10 minutes walk away on a quiet street. There are two restaurant choices. The Singapore traditional choice restaurant opens at 6AM; the other more standard Western style restaurant opens at 8AM. At the Singapore traditional restaurant you order at the counter and they bring the food, so not a buffet. Other restaurants are in the same area, including some hawker style. Noise from other rooms, hallway, and from in room sources such as air con wasn't significant. Pool is described as a "dipping pool," so not all that big. Lift and stairs joins the two floors. Pickup area outside hotel is unsheltered, but there's a street light so ok for taxi, but less ok if raining. Summary is that I'd probably not stay here again because of the bathroom visibility, wifi issue, and the remote breakfast.

Yelp
Lloyd's Inn is easily accessible to a couple metro options, an easy walk to great spots, yet also tucked away and quiet. We arrived early expecting to leave our bags and yet they let us check in early as we just had to wait a few minutes while they finished up our room. The room was cozy and nicely appointed. We had a garden room and were concerned about the outdoor shower in the heat but surprisingly it was still refreshing and felt great! The breakfast we chose was the traditional at a small shop right on the way to the metro- such a simple yet delicious start to the day! don't skip that! great experience and highly recommend
