The 35 Best Restaurants in Barcelona

"Pretend you’re a Barcelonan and check out this local, informal, and affordable seafood bar that bears no resemblance to the tourist traps on Las Ramblas. Lluritu is quickly becoming a favorite in the neighborhood of Gràcia and looks more like a fish shop than a restaurant, with informal seating and a traditional tiled floor. Your best bet is to order a bit of everything to share. Musts include the grilled sardines, grilled squid, and, last but not least, the steamed clams. If in doubt, just order the seafood platter—a steal at only $35." - Isabelle Kliger, Gemma Askham

We came here as a walk in, luckily we were the first to arrive before opening as there is very limited seating. We sat at the counter area at the front of the restaurant. We ordered quite a large selection of dishes as you'll see in the images. The food was well cooked but not over cooked and the way it was cooked really emphasised the flavours of the seafood. The service was friendly and attentive, we really enjoyed this place and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Fresh fish, prawns and shells served tapas-style. No fuss, only fresh ingredients (raw, grilled or marinated) served with little to none garnish highlighting their own distinct flavour. The best scallops ever, pure excellence!

I’ve been here a couple of times now, in my opinion it’s the best seafood place in Gracia, or maybe all of Barcelona. Must try: scallops, calamari, monkfish. Everything is nicely flavoured, perfectly cooked, just delicious.

Food was amazing! So fresh and full of simple clean flavours. Waitress was full of life and very kind, she recommended a dish that we ended up loving!

Amazing seafood, attentive & knowledgable staff. Had grilled mussels; tomato tartar with smoked Ebro Delta eels; tuna carpaccio with oil, finishing salt, and ginger; bocadillo de sepia with a super-garlicky alioli. Can't wait to return!

Great seafood in very interesting, quite raw interior. We took zamburinas, prawns, mussels and pan tomate. Everything was very tasty. Dishes were served very quickly. We came about 21.45, so we didn't have to wait for table. But I strongly recommend to make a reservation.

Staff is great specially the man at the bar area. I always come here when visiting Barcelona and it’s so fresh and good! Unfortunately missed a booking and regret every day that I could not eat there again.

Google
Best seafood tapas in Barcelona! Every dish is well seasoned and cooked. Food are cooked with simple seasoning so it can bring the freshness of the seafood which I personally love it. The highlights are baby scallop, red prawn and tuna leaves! They are all full of flavour and I can’t emphasise more how good they are. The less impressive dish of the night will be the squid as it is not as rich in flavour as I would expect. I have been to different tapas restaurants in this Barcelona trip and I can say Lluritu offers the best seafood! One thing to improve is their service as the they kept missing some of our order despite we have remind them for more than once.

Yelp
Llurito was AWESOME - we loved our visit! We were so impressed how efficiently the kitchen worked to produce amazing plates. The food was so tasty and came out fresh and quickly since it was made to order. We loved the staff as they were so inviting and helped make GREAT suggestions for what to order. The ambiance is cozy and you really feel like you're at home and feasting with family. We LOVED the Zamburiñas (Scallops), Cuttlefish Sandwich, and Gambetes (Shrimp)! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Barcelona (we actually told a mother/daughter duo to go the next day at the pool!) and will for sure be back next time in Barcelona!!!

Yelp
A small, out of the way place, is a wonderful place to enjoy non-typical tapas. With clientele which includes tourists and locals alike, the restaurant serves the best food. Our server/owner/manager was trying to figure out our backgrounds, a we his- Ecuador, btw. We had a great meal and wonderful conversation. The glass enclosed kitchen was busy with the creativity of the cooks. This was a quaint scantily decorated place that begged us with open arms to partake in the days repast. The wine was too affordable not to select an exciting but excellent local wine. Would love to return.

Yelp
Another small hole-in-the-wall that serves great food. You'd think that a sea-side city such as Barcelona would be milling with great seafood options, but (at least on a quick search on Google), Lluritu seems to be one of the few restaurants that is dedicated specifically to seafood. Don't get me wrong - there are hundreds of paella, tapas, and pinxto shops littered along Las Ramblas, Gothic Quarter, Barceloneta that serve seafood. Lluritu does it different. Expect the best grilled shellfish in Barcelona; some of the freshest shellfish I've ever had. Everything is cooked on an open flame in a tiny kitchen. Minimum seasoning: olive oil and maybe a pinch of salt and pepper to bring out the flavor. Get a side of pa amb tomàquet to go with the seafood. Favorite dishes of mine were mussels, razor clams (oh god yes), regular clams, and scallops. Tables are reserved; bar seats (expect to stand) go quick after opening - check Google Maps for most updated hours. Prices are fair. Get a beer to wash it all down.

Yelp
Fantastic hole in the wall seafood joint. Tiny inside, but the food was super fresh and fantastic. THere were 6 of us, and we had many plates of many different items, and all were great.

Yelp
Fantastic fresh seafood served in a no-nonsense atmosphere, directly out of the small kitchen. Great service, great wine. Just simply what you dream of in Barcelona.

Yelp
Food was exceptional and affordable. Tiny hole in the wall gem. Our waitress Vanessa was full of smiles and passion for the food. Musa (the chef) makes simple, fresh seafood, never never powered by spices. The spices delicately enhance the just caught seafood.

Yelp
Best whole in the wall seafood restaurant. Everything we ordered was excellent. The sardines and the razor clams was awesome is an understatement. Waitstaff was friendly explaining the menu and provided recommendations. Price is very reasonable as well. Will be back to try other items on the menu

Yelp
Spicy clam was excellent as were other dishes. Worth a visit if you like seafood. Remember to make a reservation!

Yelp
Amazing seafood. A must to go to in Barcelona. Fresh, tender, and perfectly seasoned. Very casual spot, need reservations, but worth it.

Yelp
This is a great, casual place to get seafood and a drink. My friend took me here and we got a lot of things, all of them quite good. They have a few tables, but you may have to seat or stand at the bar if it's crowded.
