Yelp
Another small hole-in-the-wall that serves great food. You'd think that a sea-side city such as Barcelona would be milling with great seafood options, but (at least on a quick search on Google), Lluritu seems to be one of the few restaurants that is dedicated specifically to seafood. Don't get me wrong - there are hundreds of paella, tapas, and pinxto shops littered along Las Ramblas, Gothic Quarter, Barceloneta that serve seafood. Lluritu does it different.
Expect the best grilled shellfish in Barcelona; some of the freshest shellfish I've ever had. Everything is cooked on an open flame in a tiny kitchen. Minimum seasoning: olive oil and maybe a pinch of salt and pepper to bring out the flavor. Get a side of pa amb tomàquet to go with the seafood. Favorite dishes of mine were mussels, razor clams (oh god yes), regular clams, and scallops.
Tables are reserved; bar seats (expect to stand) go quick after opening - check Google Maps for most updated hours. Prices are fair. Get a beer to wash it all down.
