Lo Smeraldino

Had a great time at lo smeraldino which was recommended to my friend group by our hotel hosts. The seafood was fresh and the pasta was chefs kiss. Pizza was also decent and they gave complimentary bread. Tiramisu was light and fluffy and definitely the best dessert

This is a lovely restaurant with a view tucked away on the quieter part of the Amalfi Port which is very peaceful and picturesque. Very well priced pizza and house wine which we really enjoyed. We booked a table but you could have walked in, and the service was great. Would recommend this lovely place!

Excellent food and service! This restaurant was a recommendation from our hotel concierge in Amalfi. Food was fresh and flavorful. The scenery absolutely gorgeous! Immaculate vibes to start our trip.

We were on a tour trip final stop amalfi. This is a great location. We had a gorgeous view from the terrace. The food was amazing. if we had time to come back we would. We ate a lot of seafood, very fresh and pasta of the day. Delicious. A very welcoming and friendly service. Very generous with wine amount. This was very important.😆

We enjoyed an exquisite meal in this delightful restaurant, with the sea splashing close to our table. The lobster linguine was delicious. Considering our time was very restricted the service, food and ambiance was excellent. We loved Amalfi and enjoyed this meal. Thank you very much.

for food: 8/10 the best mussels i’ve ever had. In fact I came back 2 times for them. the clam pasta - perfection. clams were so fresh and tasty. We also ordered fried shrimp - calamar plate and grilled fish plate. definitely not bad but not as good as pasta and mussels. so %100 you should try the mussels. recommend ✨

Incredible location,best possible view of Amalfi from the terrace and little bit calmer than the craziness of the main part of town around the port.It does have tourist trap vibes but everything in Amalfi does.Suprisingly though the food is very good,seafood is presented in the dining room and is very fresh. Only downside is the staff that looked genuinly bothered to be there.I had to wave down the waiter every single time i wanted something,also the prices are bit pumped up but that comes with the location.

While walking along the waterfront, my wife and I decided to stop in to this oceanfront retaurant. The restaurant has a large indoor section and a large covered patio section with great views. We walked in right after opening, so we had our pick of seats. Their menu is online from the bar code given by the waiter. It is very well done and easy to use in multiple languages. My wife had rigatoni with Bolagnese sauce while I had the Sicilian pasta - both were great. The serving size was also enough to make for a great meal. The bathrooms are just outside of the restaurant - a bit unusual but OK. There is limited parking out front and another nice waterfont lot nearby. Thanks.

The servers are not transparent on the prices of the fish. Please make sure of the weight of the fish/lobster before you buy to avoid surprises.

Good service. Nice seafood choices. Incredible view on the porch outside. Nice ambience. Food was good but not enough for 5 stars in my opinion. Recommend this spot.

Excellent Bolognese and the eggplant Parmesan was the best I've had yet. Great service and the views were spectacular

Have never tried a Seafood Pizza before. Was a tasty experience. Was here in October, not crowded.

You would think that you are paying for quality food & service while dining here. When we were served our water and wine, a bag was thrown on our table. We opened it up and it was stale bread. We were waiting for oil and plates to dip in. We had to catch the waiter. I didn't think we should be eating dry stale bread. The woman at the front said it was made fresh in the morning. Either way it was stale to us. Looks like the waiter was walking around, not knowing what to do. Luckily the sea bass was delicious & served with a small portion of unknown vegetables. My son had steak which was very good considering you don't usually get tender beef in Europe. We ordered french fries and that was also very nice. We had to chase someone down for ketchup. Everything was à la cart. I had the local white wine and waiter poured a little to sample but it was never poured. It was just left there for me to pour myself. That's OK but I would think for a restaurant like this at least once the waiter would fill your glass with wine. Not the type of service that I would expect. Food was pretty good but nothing spectacular.

The worst meal and service we had at this place. An expensive fish we ordered was never cleaned of its scales, that's just gross, what restaurant does that??? Not even a cheap drive- through! Stale bread, you gotta ask for condiments multiple times and still don't get them. When we mentioned the unscaled fish, the woman at the counter said " Oh yeah?" , that was that. Our waiter looked like he was there against his will and visibly complained about his job. So, if you don't want pay a lot of money for bad food and bad service stay away from this place. The area had lots of great restaurants, we had great meals and service at all the other restaurant we went to.

I should have left 3 or 4 times. Starting when we were being seated. The couple before us complained about the table they were being given so we were quickly diverted to there table. Then the menu won't download. Then a rude waiter comes and asks if we are ready. I said the menu won't load do you have a paper menu. So he leaves abruptly and another server comes over a few minutes later. After some waiting the menu downloads and he stands there asking if we are ready. So I rush to order. Bread in a bag. No olive oil or butter. Food was horrible. But here is the kicker. My wife's food tasted like dirty ocean water on super aldente pasta. She ate 3 bites and left the rest. The waiter and manager both said sorry but no offer of a discount. But wait here is the best part. THEY CHARGE A 2 euro per Person Cover Charge. And they never mention it. STAY AWAY.

Best service in all of Amalfi! Enjoyed the pizza, fries and Peroni on my first night. Had great fish selections and ended up trying the Amberjack Steak, not huge portions but very well made.

I found this restaurant at the request of the hotel staff at the hotel I was staying at so I decided to give this a try. This was hands-down the BEST restaurant experience I had in Amalfi. The views are breath-taking, especially at sunset. The service was incredibly friendly and very excellent. I got the Scialiatelli with seafood (mussels and clams) and oh my goodness ... I don't think you are going to find many places on this planet that serve seafood pasta this well!! The abundance of mussels and clams was incredible. My friend also got the lobster pasta which was pretty good, but not nearly as good as any of the dishes that had mussels or clams in them. They have an incredible wine selection and most of the list will make your head spin even though I drink a lot of red wine personally. Thankfully, my waiter told me about the different Italian red wines based off my palate. I will absolutely come back here again in the future!

Truly exceptional!!! Our first visit to the Amalfi Coast was Christmas 2019 when we discovered this gem of a restaurant on our last day in town. The wait staff was friendly, inviting, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations based on our interests. My wife really loved her fried calamari and Moscato (she said the best ever); we even bought a bottle to bring back to the hotel. For me, one of the absolute best seafood dishes I've EVER eaten was the Gulf Seafood soup. Do yourself a favor and save room from for this dish, and make sure you let the bread soak up all of the flavor. For us this is a destination restaurant. It's 2022 and we're back again, this week on the coast we'll dine here at least 4 times.

Came for lunch and would definitely come back again! Got the following: Caprese salad: 3 stars, not like what we expected, but the bufala was good Sciavatella with seafood: 4.5 stars - pasta was done perfectly, great flavor, very fresh Pizza with seafood: 4 stars, very fresh, crust was done well and had flavor Friendly staff!

Great service and food! We had a bottle of moscato, bass on a crust of salt, and the fruta di mare which were all exceptional. The owner is very nice and comes to the table with a friendly smile. He also owns a shop in town, where you can find kitchen ware but Amalfi style with bright colors and lemons. Can't beat it! Almost forgot! The tiramisu is just delicious, which left us wanting seconds.

My husband, 3 year old daughter and I came during lunchtime. We were seated right away but the wait staff took a while to hand us the menus and then I had to wave at them a few times to take our order. (-1 Star) But once our order was taken, our food came out right away. I ordered the seafood pasta and my husband had pasta with meatball sauce. I loved the taste of fresh seafood and the homemade pasta. My husband liked his pasta as well and only complained about too much sauce (I think he just wanted to complain about something). Price wise, I thought the prices are reasonable considering their location. They have pizzas ranging from 7 to 10 euros. My husband and I had lunch at a restaurant in front of the Pantheon in Rome and paid more. Overall, 4 stars. We really enjoyed our lunch after spending some time at the beach, which is right next to the restaurant.

Not sure if it's just the culture of Italy but the service here in particular was SLOW. The location is lovely, we sat outside on the patio on the water. Definitely caters more to an older crowd and It felt like our table was being ignored since we are in our late twenties. I had the roasted eggplant and spaghetti with local seafood. The eggplant, although nicely cooked, arrived cold. The spaghetti was kinda meh but I'm also spoiled with fresh seafood so I found it somewhat run of the mill. My friends did enjoy their meals though. The fried cod looked crispy and delicious and my friend's Calzone was HUGE. If you arrive here hungry, you will get HANGRY waiting for your food.

We had the mixed seafood that had clams and muscles I had the lamb and we had a pizza! Fantastic service delicious fresh food!

Hard pasta and horrible service. Waiter was too busy flirting with other women and forgot to bring our wine and the says he's going to take it off the bill but really doesn't.

Typical Italian food that's a few euros more than other restaurants in town. That's probably because they have an ocean front view, which you're paying for. Other than that, food tastes about the same as other places.

Great place! It was right by our hotel and we were starving so they lucked out. But I should say we were the ones that lucked out. Great house bread and pizza bread that they brought us. The cheese plate was the best we've had in a week and all over Italy. House wine was delicious and so was the seafood pasta. I'd say pass on the house seafood dish. Small portion and it was a little fishy.

Yes this restaurant is truly wonderful. My cousin TOny and I and our friend Alfonso had one of the Best Meals we had on our entire 10 day trip to the AMalfi Coast. We had a absoutely wonderful lunch sitting at a table outside next to the water with one of the most Spectacular Views you could ever wish to have. We had a couple great waiters take care of us. We ordered a bottle of Ferrari "Perle" 2007 sparling wine from Trentino. The waiters wheeled a cart to our table to show us the fabulous Seafood they had on hand. The seafood was Super Fresh; Coda di Rospo, Scarfano Fish, Live Langostines and Lobster and alls sorts of Treasures from the nearby Sea. We had a spectacular Lunch. They brought us a complimentary Antipasto Misti of Polpo (Octopus) Polpette di Alici (Anchvy Meatballs) and ... We ordered Grilled Calamari, we had Spaghetti with Langsotines, and Lobster. The food was Excellent and absolutely First Rate Service. The waiter brought us a complemntary Limoncello to top off our perfect lunch, one I'll never forget sharing it with my Cousin Tony and Friend Alfonso. This place is Fantastic an I highly reccomend it if you're in AMalfi and want a great Seafood Meal with superb service and a Beautiful view of Amalfi and the Tyrrenean Sea. Love it.

After 9 months I have returned and once again the food, and quality is wonderful at this restaurant. We had the seafood appetizer, and seafood skewers. Both were phenomenal. The party I was with had mussels, clams, and oysters. They were also very fresh. The portions are more generous then some of the other restaurants, and service is much more attentive.

This must be a very popular restaurant in Amalfi as we waited 45 minutes for a table. We ordered a bottle of Montepulciano (very good) and our appetizer and dinner. Many different servers and much confusion. Not well organized. It is a large place in a beautiful location on the harbor. Food is ok. This is a no return for us.

Ok food but really really bad service! We will not be trying this again. The waiter made us feel like he was doing us a favor and walks off while you're still talking- even in short sentences or bullet points! Worst service so far in Italy!

This was our favorite place to eat in Amalfi and we went over and over for lunch and dinner! Great views and amazing food. Their marinated seafood was so delicious - I did not know sardines could taste so good! Great pizza and lemoncello too.

Our original plan was to eat at the restaurant just up the road. We sat down but received no service and they were exceptionally rude. We walked all walked out. We walked a short distance to this place and had an incredible experience. Food was outstanding a some of the best Sea Bass we have ever eaten. Staff was exceptionally friendly and prompt. Great view of the marina. Finished off with some great deserts and complimentary Lemon Cello - had the perfect night.

After we received our food we had no contact from the staff until we completely finished our meal and flagged them down. There were only 4 other tables in the place. No inquiry into our meal or offers for another glass of wine..... Our plates were cleared and no dessert was offered and we sat for another 11 minutes before flagging them down for a check.

Best restaurant in Amalfi! We have been here twice and will return for the third night tonight. amazing octopus salad, fabulous lamb, and phenomenal pizza!

Our guide insisted this was the greatest place. We unfortunately did not agree, although I will admit we are picky. The chicken my mother ordered was fine, but my bucatini pasta was overcooked and swimming in a tomato sauce that tasted like bottled American sauce, and my husband's seafood skewered was not fresh tasting, mushy, not good. The broccoli was good. Ocean front view was great.

Good and not as expensive as some other places nearby that are COMPLETE tourist traps, *cough* l'Abside *cough*

House wine was the best I've had yet in Italy, and very reasonably priced. Octopus wasn't the best I've had here. The grilled fish (which was suggested by the guy) was great. Suggested by a random local we asked. The pasta of the namesake was fantastic.
