The road to the resort is really narrow and only fits 1 vehicle even tho it's 2-way. The rooms are old but so far everything in our rooms worked well so it was still good. I loved the area where the resort is located tho. It has a nice atmosphere & breakfast was good. Their staff were really great too and very easy to talk to. We also did their firefly watching and watched the monkey feeding.

Overall super pleasant experience from the Check-in experience till Check out. The staff were very hands on, friendly and remembered all their guests names which added a little extra. The room was large enough to accommodate all of us. ||The hotel assisted on providing transportation, organizing trips and evening entertainment. ||The food selection is vast catering to both western and Filipino likes. ||Overall an A+ experience

One of the best places we have stayed at, the premium room is one of the best and most spacious by far, lovely large bathroom and amazing bath tub outside on the deck. The food was top notch and we had several main courses while we stayed, great breakfasts and good coffee and a wonderful staff that greeted us with a big smile everytime. I highly recommend staying here and do get the better room if you can.

You can enjoy the firefly tour at this resort for 500 pesos per person. It’s less crowded and more peaceful compared to the one near the bridge. The first tour starts at 6:30 PM. The restaurant also offers delicious pasta at a reasonable price. The tour is open to everyone, not just resort guests. You can make a reservation at the reception desk or through the resort’s website.

Pros : The staff here were absolutely amazing, some of the kindest people we’ve ever met at any accommodation. Their respect and attention to guests are on another level and they impressively remember everyone’s name! The food at the restaurant was fantastic and the Earth Hour dinner was unexpectedly beautiful. We had so much fun! Unfortunately, it rained almost every day, so we couldn’t fully enjoy the pool and the activities, but the resort itself is stunning. We did manage to see the fireflies at least which is a must. You could easily spend a week here without getting bored. Breakfast was a buffet with a wide variety of options, though I would have preferred fewer main dishes and more choices like granola and oats. The Wi-Fi compared to other accommodations we had before was pretty decent. Cons: Here’s what I didn’t like about this place: The hot water kept coming and going, so one moment you’re enjoying a warm shower and the next it’s freezing cold. Although the room had stunning river views, it felt a bit outdated. Everything was made of wood, including the bed, which wasn’t comfortable and made a lot of noise. The shower was quite small and when it rained, the long walk to the reception meant you could easily get soaked, although they did provide free umbrellas. On our last day (Sunday), we couldn’t enjoy the resort at all because the house in front of our room blasted loud music from early morning until 9pm, driving us crazy. We had to leave and eat elsewhere to escape the noise. Despite informing reception, they said they couldn’t do anything until 10pm, and we weren’t the only ones complaining. Also expect to be waking up every day at 5am by the roosters so if you are a light sleeper, take this into consideration, but this is practically everywhere in the Philippines.

Fantastic atmosphere, fantastic restaurant and fantastic service. This lodge lies along a beautiful river with bungalows offering peaceful and relaxing views on it. Treat yourself with a river view bungalow, they have a nice little balcony overviewing the river. Most of all, the service is perfect with a friendly and professional staff

Had a 2 night stay here during our time in Bohol. It 100% met all of our needs. We did the firefly tour the first night and used it to explore the Chocolate Hills and other nearby attractions. The rooms were nice, great pool, and excellent food. My only complaint was the execution of the firefly tour. It was cool to see, but I could have done without the all the clapping our guides were doing to make the fireflies glow more brightly and excessive selfie taking of our group. Would probably opt for organizing a smaller boat next time, but overall a great stay.

Google
Pros - -The staff work so hard and accommodating they wear many hats. They run tours and then maintenance around property. They also bring your bags for you. Remember to tip! -Food was good! Really enjoyed the traditional dishes. I personally never order western food as it’s never wow while traveling and I’m travelling I want traditional. So try to the BBQ Pork and the Kangkong Fried Spinach , fresh coconuts. Great Coffee. - Tours that were amazing , pump boat tour up to the stream and fire fly was worth it. Cons- beds are rock hard Could hire more staff for Front of house serving -they could do more with the weekend BBQ I’d gladly pay extra to have grilled whole fish or stuffed calamari. -house across the water 😂 he sings kareeokee all day and night on weekends 🍻 We did the motor bike rental which was great price $500 Piso and insisted on having a full tank returned but gave it to us with no gas. NO GAS, When we mentioned this the front reception she shrugged it off and said sorry but insincere and then proceeded to ask us again if we filled it up. Kinda not in a warm tone. Like she was robotic and annoyed we even mentioned that they gave us a scooter with no gas. It’s the little things that bring a place to 5 stars.

Yelp
Highly recommended! It was a great spot to make plans to travel to Bohol, Philippines catch the direct flight from LAX to Incheon International Airport to Bohol-Panglao and catch a driver to a 15 miles to destination.

Yelp
Loboc River Resort is THE place to stay in Bohol! My boyfriend and I stayed at Loboc River Resort for four days and loved the space, amenities and friendly staff! In fact, once we booked our stay, Loboc River Resort was the only lodging facility that actually e-mailed me back, asking for details on an airport transfer. And as soon as we got to the resort, we were welcomed with a cold towel and an iced ginger tea, which was refreshing, having traveled by a two-hour ferry and 45 minute tricycle ride. The first night we stayed in a Forest View Room. I loved the bungalow we were in, as you literally walk along bridges to get to your bungalow with a front porch that looks out. There was a king size bed (uncommon in the Philippines for lodging), air conditioning, dental kit, soaps, shampoo/conditioner, slippers, cable TV, etc... The staff also carried our bags to the bungalow. It was a spacious room, and if you're looking for a more affordable room at the resort, then the Forest View Room is a great option. For the rest of our visit, we stayed in a River Suite, which was so amazing! It felt like an apartment with a very spacious living room, balcony that overlooks the Loboc River, kitchen with a fridge and complimentary bottled waters and beverages for purchase, and our room had a king size bed, cable TV and robes! Our bathroom was also a good size with a large shower, complimentary toiletries and slippers. There are complimentary activities around the resort such as the pool, visiting Monkey Island to watch the monkeys during feeding time, see the water buffalo, feed the chickens, walk across the suspension bridge, etc... The resort also can arrange a Bohol tour for you, with a driver that takes you around the island, seeing the major attractions, like the chocolate hills, tarsier sanctuary, etc..., which is what we did. Since the resort is not walking distance to town and is in a secluded area (hence its appeal!), they have a restaurant that is open most of the day. At the resort you also get a complimentary breakfast, with your choice of a Filipino or western breakfast. We came here for lunch and dinner, too, and they had great Filipino options, which is what I recommend getting here! We loved the lomi, especially on rainy days, pork adobo was tasty, tinola soup is a must while in Bohol, etc... I also recommend getting a pina colada here, as it's made with fresh coconut and lots of rum! The mango shakes are also made with fresh mango. Take advantage of all the fresh and local ingredients here! Staff was super friendly and after spending a few days here, you end up getting to know them. They also remember your name as soon as you enter the resort. When they found out we were taking the ferry back to get to Cebu for a flight out of the airport, they constantly checked with the ferry office to make sure they were running on time, so we didn't miss our flight. Sad to have left Loboc River Resort, but would definitely stay here again when I'm back in Bohol. This was by far the best place I stayed at while in the Philippines. Thank you, Loboc River Resort!

Yelp
The big two Loboc river hotels are, of course, this one and Fox and Fire Flies. I toured around the F and F and it's a bit smaller than Loboc River Resort. I personally enjoyed staying here because one can be right next to the nice and quiet river. The food is amazing, the staff are nice, the internet needs a little help, but one can get it at the lobby or restaurant. Moreover, one can really appreciate nature here. They provide popular activities such as rides to the fireflies, long board paddle, and kayaking. One can even jump in the river right off their dock. Last, they're close to a bridge that is similar to the twin bridges, which charges $1 for entrance. With their bridge, it's completely free!!! Last, the Philippines is know for having the best mangoes in the world. Try their mango shake!

Yelp
Who needs the beach when the river is so beautiful? This resort is a little out of the way, but that's part of its charm. This is the kind of place that travellers whisper about in hostels, not wanting to spill the secret to the unworthy who have suitcases rather than packs. I'm not so precious - and the lovely people who manage the resort deserve to be run off their feet with guests even in the low season. The bungalows are in the traditional style and are a little on the sparse side, but totally acceptable for the cost. There are suited should you want to splurge and you should totally upgrade to a river view room - you can thank me when you're sitting on your private balcony with one of the best views on Bohol. The pool is probably the best bit. It's huge and sparkling clean. Th infinity edge looking out to the river is a nice touch - the optical illusion of the blue of the pool melting in to the green of the river is a visual treat. There's a lovely open air restaurant /common room but the food isn't great, which is a shame. What is AMAZING however is the fresh coconut shakes served in a young coconut that has been recently lopped off the tree. I enjoyed these in large numbers and highly recommend that you do too.

Yelp
Our first two days were spent at a 3-star hotel in Alona Beach. After one day, we decided to leave the chaos and crowds of underwhelming Alona for the quiet of Loboc. Spent next four days in a Forest View room at LRR. So glad we did. Big room. Great restaurant with yummy food. Staff were helpful and they have a tricycle that can take you into Loboc or pick you up for P50 one way. If you are looking for peace and quiet, and a relaxing vacay, this is the place!
