Came for vintage. Got a lesson in fashion snobbery The selection in this store is actually quite decent — especially if you’re into black pieces, like I am. There’s a clear curatorial eye behind the collection, and I was hoping to enjoy the experience. However, the atmosphere quickly turned sour due to the staff’s attitude. From the moment I walked in, I was met with a level of condescension that was hard to ignore. The glances were judgmental, the energy cold and elitist — as if my presence somehow disturbed their carefully curated sense of fashion superiority. It was less “fashion-forward” and more “fashion gatekeeping.” Ironically, as someone who works in the fashion industry myself as a stylist I’ve never encountered this kind of performative arrogance, even in far more exclusive settings. The vibe was clear: “You don’t belong here.” And that’s exactly the kind of energy that kills creativity and community in fashion. A store can sell vintage, but there’s nothing chic about snobbery.

The best vintage clothing shop I've been to so far. Incredibly well curated selection, but without the more inflated prices that more curated second-hand clothing shops tend to have. They know what they're doing. The pieces are in excellent condition and are clearly labelled as to which years and collections they're from. They have a decent sized stock of the more expected avant-garde designers such as Yohji, CdG, Rick, Undercover, etc, but also stock stuff you don't see in other places around Paris like CCP, M.A+, Layer-0 etc. The staff are very friendly, offer to help without being pushy at all, offered tea and gave me a very nice tote bag for what I bought. It's very much a shop for people with a genuine love for avant-garde and "darker" high/artisinal fashion ran by people who are the same about it. Good music in the store, too.

The hardest shop in Paris ; Especially if you’re a professional grailed low baller like I am

TLDR: Must visit in Paris! Amazing collection of clothes (lots of comme des garcons, yohji yamamoto, ann demeulemeester, rick owens..etc) and kind/helpful owners, I visited L'OBSCUR twice during my trip to Paris and loved loved the store! It's organized extremely well - Japanese designer on one side and European designers on the other. The collection is amazing and filled with beautiful and high quality clothes. Every piece comes with a hand written note about the designer, quality, collection year..etc. The owners, Sasha and Quentin, are so helpful, genuine, and make you feel welcome in their store. It's clear how much thought they put into their shop and how passionate they feel about what they do. I also got to meet Link, Sasha's sweet pomeranian who is just the cutest! Definitely visit L'OBSCUR and remember to handle the pieces gently <3

Truly the best vintage store in Paris! The owners are sweet and knowledgeable. Tasteful curation ranging from famous designers to more underground brands. Incredibly fair prices, and every piece is in excellent condition.

Visited 3 times during my trip to Paris, the curation here is some of the best I have seen! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Also there is a cute doge 10/10 will come back again 👍

One of the coolest shops I’ve been to in Paris. If you’re into dark fashion and brands like Alexander McQueen, Comme des Garçons and Vivienne Westwood, you’ll love it. Very nice and helpful staff - can’t wait to come back.
