We had dinner here about 4 years ago and loved it, and as soon as we planned this trip we knew we wanted to have dinner here based on that experience. Unfortunately we spent over $100 and left underwhelmed with this meal. We ordered a cup of clam chowder, cup of lobster stew, fried seafood platter and lobster claws, along with a burger for our 4 year old. The clam chowder was very good, but the "lobster stew" was watery, the consistency of broth, and didn't appear to have any seasoning in it, and had 2 pieces of lobster meat about 3" long in it. Pretty paltry for $15. The scallops and fried clams were good, but the breading isn't seasoned and fell off when cutting into the scallops and haddock. The coleslaw side was oddly seasoned, very heavy on black pepper and other spices, so we couldn't eat it (and we love black pepper). The fries were ok, we had way more than we could eat. The lobster claws were very salty, and each time I cracked a claw a lot of water poured out, which I've never experienced before. The burger was good, but with no kids menu option the burger was overwhelming for a child and over half of it was thrown away, which was a shame to waste food and pay a premium. We understand the Covid-19 precautions, but there were no refills on waters, and no one came around to ask if we needed anything until it was time to order dessert, and at that point it wasn't requested because we would be leaving soon. The blueberry pie slice was OK, but seemed to be pie filling straight from a can with a strangely bitter crust, and no lemon or anything to cut the cloying sweetness. Maybe our expectations were too high based on our last experience, or maybe it was an off night, but we don't expect to return based on this meal. They are following Covid 19 protocols in terms of masks, social distancing, etc.
