Highly under rated, super sweet lady. Very communicative about the menu and imo better than taco temple. The avocado sauce is amazing on the el pastor. *update* I continue to eat here occasionally and still haven't been disappointed, everything is consistent

Google
We have been coming here for years and absolutely love every time that we come. The tacos are top notch but I especially love the papusas. I crave the papusas and eventually have to cave in and return at least once a month. The owner is such a sweet lady that has made the whole crew feel like our family. I especially love the growth of her parents learning English and running the truck along side her. This is my favorite food truck in asheville and there's nothing I haven't loved on the menu. The chicken is a great value and love the greasy bacon cheese burgers too.

Google
Got the mix pupusas and carne asada tacos. The tacos were good and the pupusas were probably the best I’ve ever had. The prices are great as well!

The tacos were fresh and delicious. I also had a refreshing strawberry smoothie. The wait wasn't long and the service was nice. Will definitely come back to try more.

Three of us ate very well for about 30 bucks. My wife and daughter said the bacon, egg and cheese were very good. The pupusas mixtas were some of the best I’ve had, with a generous serving of curtido. We also liked the papa relleno and the giant smoothie. I definitely recommend checking this place out.

The cheese pupusa 🫓 is where it’s at. Crispy and delish. Beef tacos 🌮 were not bad either although a little dry. Variety of salsas to choose from. Cold jarritos. Friendly service. Oh and tamales 🫔

Ordered a chicken and chorizo taco and both were good but not great. The chicken was grilled and seasoned well but the chorizo did not seem super authentic to me. On the plus side though the tacos were not greasy at all so felt a little healthier. Tortillas did not seem homemade either but they were still tasty. I would like to go back and try their pupusas as well as the breakfast tacos. They also have a nice picnic area around back.

Hands down THE BEST Mexican Food Truck I've been to in Asheville! If I could rate it 10/10 I would in a heart beat! The food was juicy and flavorful! I ordered a Cheese Papusa which came with a cabbage salad which was AMAZING! A Tamale Rojo which had big chunks of tender meat! 2 beef tacos, 1 chicken taco, and 1 carnitas taco, which me and my sign. Other devoured (we liked the chicken and carnitas the best). I was surprised because my boyfriend is picky and usually wouldn't have tried the cabbage salad but he loved it and put it with everything we ordered! The only thing that wasn't the best was the price, it came out to be 25.50 for 4 tacos,a papusa, and Tamale. But honestly the quality of the food was SO SUPERB, I don't care and I'll go over and over again! Another thing that I found pretty cool was the different variety of foods they had from authentic Mexican food to American food (things like bratwurst, hamburgers, fries) they even had different types of frozen lemondes! I've already talked about this place to everybody i know after eating here! And I 100% RECOMMEND!

Yelp
I had a half coal fired chicken which had good flavor but was a little dry. I got fries were crinkle style and beans for my sides and both were good. Had a hard time eating the chicken without a knife and they only had plastic spoons so they lent me a large carving knife.

Yelp
local favorite, always fresh and yum! Chill spot to hang without long to wait for my order. You can call ahead too!

Yelp
Clean, quick, freshly prepared in proper portions, tasty! She will whip up a veggie special if you ask! Under the radar and punches way above its weight.

Yelp
A sweet family run cart! Don't forget to stop here for breakfast, lunch or a quick dinner! Breakfast is delicious with English muffin sausage and egg add a kick of the home made avocado salsa! The pork Pupusas were a wonder too! Work mate had a bacon cheeseburger and was wowed! Will be stopping here more often! Call ahead for even quicker pick up!

Yelp
I have gone to the place for a number of years now for good reason. When they were parked at HD I made it point just to go there vs. the other box store. They are now just around the corner. The breakfast options are great and super easy. I usually go with ham egg and cheese or bacon egg and cheese on tortillas. The Bolillo is very good as well. You can get Hickory Nut Gap meats and the hot dogs, brats, and burgers are fantastic. The tacos are an amazing deal for authentic cilantro and onion tacos. We really like the chorizo or beef. Papusas.....you need to get them as well as the cabbage salad that accompanies them. I will get at least one from now on. Many imported beverages are available including my favorite, grapefruit Jarritos. Overall, the food is great. Much better than any fast food place and compares to many of the top food trucks in town. The folks working there are extremely friendly and appreciative. Place your order, hang out for a few minutes while it's prepared, and enjoy.

Yelp
Not only was the food delicious but they were really friendly! Spots like these are hard to come by. I most definitely recommend trying it out!

Yelp
My family adores the Local Buggy. This Oakley gem is serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner 6 days a week. A mixture of breakfast shakes, juices, tacos, burgers, and dogs will have everyone in you party happy. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the service which is beyond friendly.

Yelp
This taco truck is the way it should be. Authentic food that is delicious at great prices. This is on the side street off of Fairview neat the Tavern. Try the papusa, I'd never eaten one before and they are divine. I crave them now. Get you $2.50 tacos with onions and cilantro the traditional way and I recommend trying their cabbage salad that comes with it too. There are also other great options ranging from hotdogs to green smoothies. It's all here. Great for lunch and has picnic tables for out door seating. No frills, no lines, no hassle, just good food quick and easy.

Yelp
This place is fantastic. I haven't had a fresh papusa in so long. Their tongue burrito with cilantro sauce was great and their mango smoothie had REAL mango. Their portions are great. The large Horchata my friend ordered was indeed very very large and tasty. Can't say enough good things about this place. Will definitely be making it on my list of go to places. There was also no line (unlike WD)

Yelp
I am so impressed with this place. They tell me they use local organic ingredients and this place serves the real deal. I've had beef, chicken and chorizo tacos and both verde and roja tamales. Mango smoothie was fabulous. Next time, torta and/or pupusas. The location (Old Fairview Rd) is a bit hard to find, but worth the effort. This local business deserves all the support they can get.

Yelp
It would be a shame to miss this local gem!!! Everything is made in house, local, organic and 1,000% delicious. The selection is varied but not to where they spread themselves thin. The owner I believe, I did not catch her name, is super sweet. If you appreciate fantastic food and supporting locally owned business, this is your spot. This food truck has been kickin, making tasty food in the area, for over 13 years. My new favorite is breakfast- Home made croissant with bacon egg & cheese and one of their freshly whipped up fruit smoothies to go with. There are picnic tables right next to the food truck to enjoy your meal there!

Lori G.

Yelp
This is a great food truck! The homemade tamales are to die for. The tacos are fresh and delicious. They have a varied menu and the ingredients are fresh. It is on Old Fairview Road across from the Fairview Tavern. Don't miss this place when in the area.

Yelp
Everything is good on this menu. They will even accept call ahead orders. We've gone for breakfast and lunch, we have not been let down. Can't wait to try for dinner!!

Yelp
My family loves this place. They have great breakfast sandwiches with super yummy bacon. The biscuits are always fresh. The coffee is good and the service is always attentive and pleasant. Can't beat the prices!

Yelp
Little Gym of a spot in Oakley. People are friendly always smiling and happy to see you. Food is excellent and a lot of what they use is local and organic, rices very reasonable for what you get. They just added dinner and the new item is Pollo A La Brasa.. a all natural hormone free chicken dish that they marinate 24 hrs in Peruvian spices and cook over charcoal on a hand made over. Hrs.are Mon. thru Sat. 7AM to 9Pm closed Sun. You can call ahead at 828-606-2254 and they take credit and debit cards!! Oakley in general and East Asheville as a whole are lucky to have them here. Please go by and try the food you won't be disappointed and it will help us keep them around. They used to be in the parking lot of Home Depot but were forced to move so many of you probably ate with them there and wondered where they went. Can't say enoug good about this place go ck it out for yourselves!

Yelp
Good burger at a great price. Local meats (hickory nut gap farms) with a couple of really sweet ladies working the grill. The cheeseburger came with two slices of cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and mayo and a side of fries for $6 and change. The quality is better than fast food but more akin to a greasy spoon diner. Great orange smoothie and breakfast served all day!
