Kaylee gave me the best haircut experience ever. I came in after an unfortunate attempt at cutting my own hair, and she was precise, focused, and dedicated to making sure my hair looked great. She was so thorough with the cut, wash, and style – clearly an experienced stylist with a lot of knowledge. Now I have a fabulous bob, and I'm so grateful she took the time to make it perfect, especially with my pin-straight hair that shows every mistake. If you need a new forever stylist, I highly recommend Kaylee!!

Please read before booking here so you avoid having my hair nightmare. I booked an appointment for a layered cut with Kyilah. She was super sweet as I showed her multiple photos of the cut and rightly so, she pointed out I would need highlighting to make the cut work with my current highlights. I mentioned it would take someone with considerable experience to match what I had. She assured me she could. I specifically mentioned to her how she would need to use heat to lift the color, since she had no intention of using heat. She brushed that idea off as unnecessary even though I mentioned it had always been necessary previously. Her "highlights" resulted in a 4 inch band of brassy terribleness across the back of my hair. No dimension, no creamy blondes. Not even a ponytail could hide what happened. The salon kindly agreed to have another stylist correct the situation. I was concerned about coming back to the salon, but was already $300 into this mess. Nikki assured me she could help. I still had my creamy, blonde highlights framing my face that Kyilah hadn't touched and a few throughout my hair. I also showed Nikki a photo for reference of exactly what I wanted. A few hours into the process, she begins putting toner on the blondes around my face. I was confused and asked what was happening. She said she needed to blend my hair. By blend I later found out she meant make the remaining highlights that I liked into a yellowish blonde. Definitely did not blend with the awful brassiness in my hair. I could not believe what had happened and tried to speak with one of the managers, but she couldn't be bothered. I finally spoke with Dylan who looked at my hair and gaslighted me by saying she didn't see any issue. The vibe was "it's your problem--good luck." If being gaslit and wasting money is your thing, from my experience, Local Honey East delivers. The good news is that I found a stylist at Vol. 2 Salon in 12 South who is incredible. She took one look at my hair and said--in the kindest way possible "your hair is a lot of different tones". But since she knows what she's doing, she actually fixed it.

I had Kathleen and she did a fantastic job! (5 stars) Very sweet girl, also. Will definitely be going back to her. I deducted two stars because I initially had my husband booked in at the same time and he ended up having to cancel. At no point before booking did the salon text, email, or even verbalize that cancellations are 50% of the total cost. I had already put my card down so I immediately started freaking out (luckily Devin was great/understandable and waived the fee for me). I told my husband and he was not happy that this is how the salon does business. I understand charging 50% for cancellations IF and only IF you set a disclaimer prior. This alone made me not want to go back, but Kathleen was great so I probably will. Also I was charged an extra $10, not sure where that came from.

My wife went in to get a cut. She showed the girls several photos and explained please. If you cannot do this cut just tell me and we can reschedule with someone else. The stylist told her. Yes I can absolutely do that. Your hair is like my hair. Know what to do!! She cut her hair way too short. The color was not what she wanted. There is very little blonde when she wanted blonde highlights !!! Going in to talk to manager tomorrow ! Hopefully this can be remedied. Paid $289!!!!! Just BE HONEST if you cannot do what people are asking for!!! Do these pics look similar to you???? Nope!!! 👎

Avoid this salon at all costs. Local Honey is hands down the worst salon experience I’ve ever had. I’ve been here multiple times with different stylists, and every single one was rude and full of attitude. At this point, it’s clear this is either how they’re trained or simply the type of people they hire, either way, it’s unacceptable. The pricing is a complete scam. I asked ahead of time what my service would cost, only to be charged more afterward because of “add-ons” I never requested. The stylist never asked me if I wanted them, they just did it and stuck me with the bill. That is dishonest and shady. On top of that, the actual service is mediocre at best, nowhere near worth the inflated price tag. Management doesn’t help either; they blindly defend staff instead of addressing clear issues with rudeness, miscommunication, and lack of professionalism. Do yourself a favor: steer clear of this place. If you value your time, money, and basic respect as a client, go literally anywhere else.

It’s my First time here, Mal is absolute the best! I showed her the inspo color for my hair and she nails it! It’s even better than the inspo. I’ve got a lot of compliments. She is so professional and kind.🥰

Tonya has seriously changed my life for the better ever since she started styling my haircuts 3 years ago. She's super talented, compassionate, and funny. Long story short, she's everything you could wish for from your hairdresser!

Google
Liz is literally awesome! Love her to death. An exceptional artistic creator of hair designs to fit the customer in front of her. She helps me visualize my requests prior to the cut/styling. Her knowledge brings to my mind what to expect, and how my ideas will look in the completed trim/cut/style. Conversations while in her presence are totally fun. Don't ever let this woman get away from you! She's gold.

Yelp
I love my stylist Daniel D!! Not only is he impressively talented and can take any vision and make it a gorgeous reality, he is funny, kind, precise, and aims for you to feel your best when you leave your chair. It is relaxing and you never feel rushed. The salon is big and beautiful and clean. Daniel can do any kind of hair, men's or women's, and I never hesitate to recommend him to family and friends. He also cuts my daughter's hair and has cut my son's hair. He has done fun color, balayage, global, gloss, and short and long haircuts. You will not be sorry. He also gives you a cut you can maintain even if you are a low maintenance person like me- I always look good, thanks to his care. Visit Daniel at Local Honey - you won't be sorry! Check out his insta at fadedex300 for more lewks.

Yelp
Honestly...like mediocre haircut that I just want to grow out at this point. Not really what I asked for, felt nervous because I was faced away from the mirror the entire hair cut, and I was floored to find out a haircut was $200. Just a haircut! Am I missing something? I'm never going back

Yelp
I have been getting my hair cut at Local Honey by Michael Jay for the past six years. If you need a curly hair expert, he is it! I refuse to get my hair cut by anyone else. I also enjoy the vibe of the salon, and they always have great products in stock.

Yelp
I had gone to see Gray twice and was charged around $60 bucks for my haircuts. I went back the third time and when I went to pay I was completely flabbergasted when they told me I owed $160!!!! WHATTTTTTTTTTTT?!?!?!?!?! FOR A HAIRCUT?!?!?!?! Add tip and I was near $200 for an effing HAIR CUT ..... a hair cut I've had similarly done twice before but for some reason it's $100 more???? I received not a single notice that her rates had apparently increased. Not a call, an email, text, or when I walked in, it wasn't posted anywhere.... Nothing!!! This happened back in May and I'm honestly still so infuriated about it I had to share. Highly avoid this salon! They are clearly disorganized and don't care about their clients! This was a HUGE discrepancy and I wasn't offered anything when I expressed my displeasure.

Yelp
Local Honey is the best hair cutting experience I've had in Nashville. This is largely due to the quality of professionals they hire. I've been going to Celina Vito for years now and I've followed her to a couple different salons but at Local Honey she has the time and space to give a head-shot worthy cut. Other salons seem to want to do quantity of cuts but here they never rush. She's like a master mechanic you'd hire to work on your vintage Mustang, you don't want to trust just any one with your baby. Local Honey has the relaxed vibe an expert needs to do a great job, highly recommended.

Yelp
Fantastic experience. I had extensions and color by Christina and a cut by Jossy and I couldn't be more pleased. They corrected the WORST haircut of my life (see my other reviews for details on where NOT to go) and even though we spent literally the whole day together, it went by super quickly. I observed a variety of people, all genders and ethnicities getting their hair done in the 7 hours I spent there, they really have a stylist for everyone's needs, I would absolutely recommend Local Honey.

Yelp
Okay, so I still go here and though it is insanely pricey (and I do mean ridiculously pricey) I will never go to anyone else if I can help it. Nash does a phenomenal job on my cut and color every single time. She pays so much attention to detail, and takes her time to make my cut absolutely perfect. She has a great personality, which really takes the edge off from all of the anxiety I get when visiting a salon. Everyone there is always friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this place 100 times over.

Yelp
This time I tried to at least make an appointment for my mom with the person she loves there. The stylist was feeling sick today which can't be helped of course- but the scheduling system there is so difficult- they then canceled mom's appointment and tried to book her for an entirely different time in the day with another stylist. On thanksgiving eve. The stylists are amazing but the appointment process is so difficult it's not worth it for her or me anymore. There are so many great salons that are so much easier to get in and respect our time the same as their own.

Yelp
I have been going to local honey for many years. It started when my previous hair dresser changed salons. Unfortunately she retired for hairstyling so I just went with who was available at local honey. What brings me to this review was my experience this week. I booked the first appointment of the day on Tuesday but unfortunately I was out of town and I was taking a late plane. That plane got cancelled after local honey was closed. So I had no way of notifying them. Also, they used to send a text reminder with a way to notify that you aren't able to attend you could notify that way, but there is no longer that option on the text reminder I received. The very minute they opened I called and explained to them what was happening (mind you, I have never once missed an appointment or been more than 5 minutes late) and they said they were going to have to charge me the full amount because I didn't give any warning. I was just kind of stunned because that was over $200, I have been a long standing and loyal customer, and this was so far out of my control. I asked if there was anything that they could do and they did call me back saying they would charge me only $50. That was much more reasonable so I was relieved. Then the receipt came and it was $119. I think that I am just disappointed with their communication and my time being a loyal customer of theirs is through.

Yelp
I booked online for a balayage, the prices were not online so my bad for not asking. My problem is not with the quality of my hair. I feel taken advantage of by this salon. Booking for a 360 dollar service does not mean a trim or style included. My hair is very thick so I ask for them to take some weight out. I was not advised of the charges or communicated with on policy at all. When I went up to the desk to check out I was told it would be 420 dollars. I thought that was my balayage and the product I bought. I told her to add a 50 dollar tip. When I checked my bank account later they had charged me 557 dollars. Not one person warned me about their "service charge" they take 12% for products from salon that were used. When I checked the website it says there is a service charge but does not disclose the percentage. The communication at this salon is very poor. When I called to dispute this charge the salon couldn't refund me for the service charge and they directed me to my stylists (Joe Charlton) instagram direct message. When I messaged back and forth with Joe I was told that there was nothing they could do about the charges and directed me to the assistant manager who directed me to Joe. When I ask for my tip back since non of the charges could me disputed I was just ghosted. P.s while in Joes chair it was completely silent, which I thought was fine, maybe they don't wanna talk but the environment was not a welcoming environment or culture and was awkward the whole time.

Yelp
Thank you Tonya for my new cut! First cut since moving to Nashville and glad I picked a good place to go. The folks were very kind and it was super clean/stylish. I'm used to going to Great Clips and SuperCuts for cheap, so to me it seemed expensive, haha. BUT I got a quality cut and I don't go very often, so it was worth it! I didn't know what I wanted done and Tonya helped give some guidance. Very grateful!

Yelp
Celina Vito is my go to hair stylist at Local Honey! Friendly, professional and talented, she gives me a great look and incorporates my requests into her methods.

Yelp
Grace Dawson was an amazing stylist who gave me a youthful look to my typically drab middle aged hair. She knew what highlight/lowlight color would bring it to life and also how to make it have body, which is almost never with my thin hair texture. I felt pampered and beautiful. Give LH a try and ask for Grace if you want one of the best!

Yelp
Grace Dawson was my stylist. She did a great job listening to what I wanted and cut my hair perfectly. The store is nice and inviting and everyone I encountered was extremely friendly and helpful.

Yelp
Big fan of Celina Vito over at Local Honey in East Nashville. She has been cutting my hair for years now and her level of care and attention to detail are hard to beat. Not a big review guy but when someone is this good at their job, they deserve a good review.

Yelp
Chardonnay is AMAZING!!! She's extremely professional and listens to everything you have to say to ensure a great cut and colour. I had such a great time at Local Honey! I will definitely be booking with Chardonnay again very soon.

Yelp
Kayleigh Upchurch has done my hair for the past two years, and I leave feeling confident every time. She's up to date on the latest trends, and always knows what I'm asking for. Over the past year, Kayleigh has helped me experiment with a few different hair colors. She's given me blonde, bronde, and brunette hair, and I've been thrilled with the result every time. She's so approachable and lovely to chat with, which makes the appointments go by quickly. 100/10 would recommend getting your hair done by Kayleigh!

Yelp
TLDR; Nearly $500 for a full highlight and haircut - screenshots of website pricing and a copy of my receipt. ______________________ First off, let me say that Shauna is a great person and I hate to leave a bad review. She is very easy to talk to and did a great job on my hair. However, I don't think a full highlight on dark blonde, shoulder length hair (no color corrections or double-processing -- just a full highlight with a haircut) is worth nearly $500. I was expecting $250-300 max, which is still pricey but reasonable for the area and the quality of stylist. I think if you are going to charge someone DOUBLE what your website states, you should at least give them a ballpark pricing estimate during the consultation. I have never in my life paid so much, otherwise I would've asked more questions and specifically asked how much it would cost. So I do take ownership for that. But I will not come back here and would not recommend Local Honey to anyone unless they were looking to drop half a grand and sit in a chair for nearly 6 hours.

Nancy C.

Yelp
Grace Dawson is amazing!! Highly recommend this place for all your hair needs and highly recommend Grace to do your hair! She listens to what you want and makes it happen, I've never left dissatisfied!!!

Yelp
I highly recommend Celina Vito! She's amazing, I've been going to her for a couple years now. Little do people know, I am NOT easy on the eyes, just absolutely hideous. A plague upon the sight of humanity at the very least. Those lacking in fortitude used to shriek in horror as I seemingly just crawled out of the sewers of Smyrna. How revolting! But thanks to Celina's upper echelon barbering skills, this ugly mug beams with the vibrant rays of a luscious GOD. She saved my life! Do yourself a favor and get some hairs cut by the G.O.A.T. okurrrr

Lori D.

Yelp
Good luck getting anyone involved in management to call you back if you have any issues. My issues: The hairstylist told me that i would have to remove the dark brown hair dye that she got on my skin at home with Dawn dish soap because they didn't have anything to remove with with there. I'm still trying to get the color off of my skin. When the stylist was done with her 5 hour process of fixing my hair - no one told me it would take that long. I would have been fine knowing that if there were some communication about it - I looked exactly the same as I did when I walked in 5 hours earlier but with bangs and a trim. I started to tear up in front of the stylist and told her that "I've been here since 8am, I thought I'd look different." She responded with, "Well, I've been here since 8am, too." That really hurt my feelings and embarrassed me. I told the stylist how displeased I was but respectfully. They gave me a discount and applied a coupon for $20 off for first time service. I cried at checkout. I paid $300 including tip and left with my tail between my legs. I had to accept that I was leaving looking the same as I did after 5 hours but with bangs. Im most upset that the stylist was so rude to me after I felt that we got along just fine the whole time. That being said, after a phone call/message and email sent - Local Honey has yet to call me back. At this point, it's just the principal of the entire issue. Poor customer service. I'll never go there again - not that they care. P.S. if you have any dark coloring added to your hair, better stock up on Dawn dishsoap!

Yelp
I had an appointment with Mayci and it was AMAZING. I explained what I wanted and made me feel she really understood. She then did a great consiltation and made me feel really included and took my concerns while also explaining what she's gonna do and how it will make my hair look. I also have curly hair and she was amazing with describing how it might look when dried. The atmosphere was truly amazing and i loved just sitting there listening to everyone!

Dawn H.

Yelp
This salon is so uppity. I felt like I needed to go in with already styled hair. The desk was snippy. The stylist was snotty and to reschedule was torture. Perhaps Andy didn't want me back. I am older, fat and uncool??? Anyway, save your money and your 25% tip for somwhere else.

Yelp
I found Local Honey on Instagram prior to a vacation to Nashville, and booked an appointment with Leah Billingsby for a 70s-style shag with curtain bangs. I have curly/wavy hair and have had bangs twice in the past, and had never been able to get them to lay the way I wanted without a lot of styling, which isn't something I had the energy for. Leah is a cutting specialist who does low-maintenance cuts and styles. I sat in her chair half expecting her to tell me that the style I wanted wasn't achievable for my hair type, but after reviewing pictures of my bangs in the past, she was able to identify what the problem was and I walked away with the hair of my dreams. She asked for my input every step of the way, but I usually just said "you're the expert, I trust you" and she proved to be very worthy of that trust. One of my other complaints about my hair was that my curl pattern doesn't start until halfway down the hair shaft, even when my hair is short. She had the idea to razor cut my hair, removing a lot of bulk and creating shorter layers on the top, which now curl without any styling on my part! The salon also has a nice, clean bathroom with perfect lighting for post-cut selfies, and is conveniently located next to a great coffee shop.

Yelp
Very great business they also are a sponsor for my daughters drama club which is very much appreciated they are a great company and will take care of you!

Yelp
This was a disappointing experience. New customer. Found this place on a Facebook group. Called and made an appointment. The woman was very friendly. Haircut was a lot better when I got home and had some time to play with it. I didn't love the cut or color when I left the salon. That wasn't my biggest problem with this place. The problem is that when I checked out, the bill was astronomical. I didn't anticipate it being that high-my fault for not asking the prices in advance. Now I know better. No one told me about the new client $20 off your haircut (which I would have jumped at due to the price,) nor did anyone explain when I called, about their being a 12% fee for products and their green initiative, which can tack on another 60$ to your bill. There also wasn't a percentage listed on the receipt, but rather a section that said 'service fee' which prompted me to email the salon. The response that was given to me when I emailed about adding the new client special onto my bill as well as inquiring about the service charge wasn't received well. I was pleasant in my email to them or so I thought, but the email back was pretty rude telling me the explanation of their service fee was listed on their website. I explained that I booked directly so it would have been nice had someone told me over the phone in advance since I never visited the website. I felt that wasn't good customer service. With regards to the new client discount, they wouldn't apply it to my bill, but said they would on my next visit even after explaining to them that I'm from out of town. I only even found the 20$ new client special after I scoured their website to find information on the 12% service fee. This left a bad taste in my mouth after all this. I felt it was unprofessional and that they don't really value new clients. Hopefully they will handle new clients more delicately in the future and be more transparent with their business practices.

Yelp
I have been to many of the top salons in Nashville, but no one comes close to Brandon Bumbalough. He is a master at color and makes each experience so fun. I've never laughed so much and gotten so many compliments about my hair. Ladies, he does not disappoint! I'm obsessed.

Adam H.

Yelp
Celina Vito is a gem! She does great men's haircuts. I'm not sure if she still does women's cuts? She is efficient but not in a hurry-which is perfect. She is a great conversationalist too! She really knows how to get what you are looking for and has a ton of experience and great intuition. She knows the cuts. She knows the styles. She has the skill to execute them. What's more she knows how to advise you on what might or might not work for you. Super professional!

Jo H.

Yelp
Insult to injury. I was referred to this company by a well known stylist in Atlanta so I thought they were for sure good. I called to make an appointment and was asked for an experienced stylist. My first experience was interesting to say the least. The cut was ok but the color was so bad. My roots looked like I was on fire. The stylist agreed to redo the base. The second time was a little better but still not good. She invited me to come back as a guest for a minimal fee as she was "learning the line". Well that minima fee added up to $295. After which time my roots were beet red and my hair which was very curly was sticking straight out. I wanted the recommended two weeks for a redo to try to get my fire roots fixed but decided to make an appt at the other location. I made an appt for what I believed was Friday. I received a call at 6:30 saying that I was late for my service. I explained to the women that I made the appt for Friday. She said " no, it's for today and we have nothing available. I was disappointed but didn't expect her to create an appt. Well what I didn't expect either was that I was charged $95 as a no show, even though I spoke to her and explained my experience. My advice, check out your stylist before hand. I'm sure there must be one or two people here who are good but don't take any recommendations. Seems like they recommend to their newest stylists and don't care whether they're a fit or not. Beware!!! Do your research. I drive all the way to Atlanta to get my hair done now. I would have been a loyal customer even after the color debacle. I would have been willing to try someone else but definitely not after I was robbed and treated so nonchalantly. I have managed Forbes rated spas and high end salons and never have I treated my guest this way. Unbelievable!!!

Grace Y.

Yelp
I cannot recommend Brandon at Local Honey East enough! I love getting my hair done by him because 1) he always does such an amazing job and 2) he is so great at communicating! I always feel like we are on the same page and he knows what I want and will explain to me what I need to do and what to expect in the future. I always can trust him to do what's best for me!

Lilly M.

Yelp
Do these look like $120 bangs to you? That's all I have to say. And yes, "bangs and face framing layers" were all I got done, blowout and styling were not included. Also the stylist told me I was in desperate need of hair oil for my ends and I asked "do you have any recommendations for which type of oil or brand to get?" and she literally just said "hmmm i don't know"
google avatar

Andrew T.

Yelp
Well. The lady did a great job on my hair. Only after being an hour and half late to get to me. Then also was super blind sided on the cost when I got to the counter. 200$ + tip for a mens cut is insane. There was no reference of cost when booking my appointment online and not told any prices. I guess that's my bad for not asking. Either way for being that late and then charging that much is crazy. I'll give a 2 star because the lady did do a good job and was awesome. But Jesus. Expensive asf! With no reached of transparency on prices. Shocking

Yelp
Great space, talented stylists, hip and cool place to get your look tuned up. My stylist was Paul and he did a great job and listened to what I wanted. Looking around the room, it seemed everyone had a great stylist and good results.

Yelp
Honestly I would give this place a zero star if I could. I really don't ever write bad reviews and this place needed one. For starters, they called me for my first appointment and told me she was running 30 min late (that's fine.) I came in and it was another 45 min until she actually saw me. Then I showed pictures of what I wanted my hair to look like (natural dirty blonde with contrast) and left paying $140 for a partial color and it looked like nothing had been done. Still had roots and there was literally no change. Came in again. For a "color fix" and a cut that was $70 for a cut. Then I told her I wanted very few layers only in the front of my face and a blunt cut in the back and my hair was chopped in random places. She was great and tried to do my roots (same girl, don't want to name her) and did it 2x with bleach.. in one setting and STILL it didn't look right nor good what so ever and completely damaged my hair. Then, called them and mind you wasted again another day of my time.. to try and fix my now damaged, over processed orange head of hair. They sent me to another lady who was super nice and I am appreciative for but she too didn't pull the brown through or get rid of the brassy/ orange hair. Overall I feel really bad about writing this review but I have never been so disappointed. Hairs hair.. it'll grow back and after awhile I can pay another $200 dollars to another salon to fix and do it right. Plus side, very cool in side. Love the tea and coffee while you wait. The color director was VERY sweet as was the front desk lady with the cute short haircut. But I'm just so unhappy and frankly wouldn't have gone to this place if someone paid me.

Yelp
Allie Campbell is by far one of the most amazing souls and has the talent to match. She used to do my hair in dallas and I am so happy I no longer have to fly back to get my hair done perfectly. She took me from box dye black to a beautiful blonde color (took awhile and my hair was still healthy too) she explained to me each step and I made me feel absolutely beautiful. I will NEVER let another person touch my hair other than her!!! I'd follow her all over the world if I had to. The photos is my starting, the middle is my during (I had stripped and bleach it and she had to fix that LOL) to her GORGEOUS result!!!

Yelp
I wish I could review the services of this business but I can't because they just cancelled on me for the second time at the last minute. And the first time I was cancelled on was for my wedding hair! Jossy cancelled on me (after telling me she got a better job for the day) a few days before I got married, meaning I had to do my hair myself. I then rescheduled a cut with Tori for today and I get a call *40 minutes* before my appointment to say she is not available. You really could not give more notice?? Book at your own risk. Unbelievably rude business.

Yelp
I have been a client in the East Nashville location, and recommended Local Honey to my sister in law when she needed a place to get color done after moving here from out of state. She made an appointment online for a single process color and partial highlight- no cut, and was under the impression that would be around $200. I believe it said "from $185" online for these services. That does indicate there is potential to be more than that, but one would imagine it would be in that ballpark. Although she booked a partial highlight, her stylist said it would likely take a full highlight to achieve the look she wanted. These were painted on without foils and were very subtle. So subtle, in fact, she had a hard time telling much of a difference in the way her hair looked after her services than when she arrived. When she checked out, her total was over $300. $360, with tip. $360. For color. Only. This is double what she expected to pay, based on her online booking. It is far beyond anything I ever paid at Local Honey, and is indeed far beyond anything I have ever paid for cut, color, and highlights combined at any salon in my 15+ years in Nashville. The lack of transparency in pricing, the assumption that a client would be fine paying double what she expected to pay, with no indication that would be the case... it's just not what I ever would have hoped or recommended for my sister. She has reached out to the salon over email and not received any response. I did the same, over email and Facebook. No response to either of us. Nothing. I would hope the salon would be invested in making this right, and perhaps in instituting some more transparency around pricing expectations for services- particularly for new clients. While she had plenty of great things to say about the kindness and talent of her stylist, the end result is that her hair looks much the same as it did when she walked into the salon, and she has paid nearly $400- unfathomable pricing for a simple color and highlight. To potential clients- make sure you know exactly what you are paying and what services you will receive for that price. There is also an additional $35 fee added to your appointment for use of their products- yes, the products used in your appointment, not anything extra. I'm sad to say I will be unable to recommend Local Honey to other friends and family, if this is what can be expected.

Yelp
I can NOT SAY ENOUGH about this Salon and stylist Kaleigh Upchurch!!!! I was looking for a new stylist after mine left for a new career and a friend suggested Local Honey. I was given an appointment with Kayleigh and she did wonders with my Grey hair and I LOVED the color she picked out! AND it was ready to go! NO color left around the crown and sloppy mess on my skin. I was so pleased with the style. Just beside myself with her professionalism and am actually making it a point to see her on my trips back to Nashville even though I have moved out of State ( already have an appointment booked!! )!! She is a jewel!

Yelp
Kaitlynn (Smith) gives the BEST wash/blow dry I've ever had! I'm so grateful to her for making me look my best, and being such a lovely human who I enjoy spending time with!

Yelp
Imagine spending thousands of dollars at a business only to be treated poorly when you have had a problem with your hair being done by one of their stylists. Thanks for ruining my hair, turning it into a platinum/orange/yellow blonde fried mess that feels like cotton candy. I got to pay $400 for that privilege. Not only that, they charged my card 10 times and I had to call my credit card company to sort out that mess. When I called to complain about my hair I was told a manager would call me within 48hrs. No one ever called. 5 days later I called and got Sarah on the phone. She was utterly rude to me and her tone with me was uncalled for. Guess what Sarah? I wasn't yelling at you. There was so much noise in the background I couldn't hear you well and wasn't sure if you could hear me but to take that tone with me and make a bunch of demands out of me instead of just saying can you come by so we can take a look and see your hair which would have been perfectly fine and acceptable to me is beyond unreal. You're welcome. So glad I could spend thousands of dollars in a business that absolutely does not care about the fact that one of their stylists ruined my hair, they couldn't be bothered to call me back at all and when I did call again their manager was rude AF to me. Oh and I'm from NY and never have I spent $400 on hair color. The most I have ever spent is $225. This place is a ripoff. I literally could have gone to Sally Beauty Supply and done a better job myself and have. Also, this is coming from someone whose best friends OWN SALONS in NYC. Never again.

Yelp
Will never return. I wrote down the wrong time for my hair appt and, as a result, was 15 minutes late. They never called me or text to ask if I was on my way. I was then told that means I am a no show and owe them $42.50 for not arriving. They don't ever wash my hair because it's curly and don't dry or style it so y haircuts are only about 30 minutes anyway so they and sufficient time for my cut. This is not customer center ed practice.

Yelp
Tori has given me the greatest hair of my life. Appointments are easy to make online and I enjoy them immensely every time!

Yelp
Burned the top layer of hair off around my crown to about 2 inches long. My bleach and tone for my very blonde hair turned out yellow so my roots were gold and the rest of my hair remained platinum. At the time, online, it said the service was starting at $130. I assumed it would probably end up around 200. They took my credit card to book the appointment, but at no time what the actual price might be. When I went to check out and they said $400 I was shocked. I went to my car and cried. I called back to make sure I didn't get accidentally charged for the wrong stylist and they said no. I asked why they didn't mention such a big price discrepancy when they took my credit card to hold the appointment. They asked if I would like a manager to call me and I said I guess so and no one ever called. Obviously I got way more depressed when I looked at my mirror at home and saw the yellow roots and burned off hair. It's two years later, and it's finally down to my ears. The rest of my hair is really long though so it's very obvious. Sadly, I've heard many storieslike this so I felt like I finally had to leave a reviewnow that I have healed a little bit from the traumatizing experience.

Yelp
I just moved to Nashville a few months ago mid pandemic. I have very difficult hair - it's super thick and coarse/wavy and my like 60% grey. Needless to say, I was very panicked about finding a stylist and colorist. Local Honey delivered on both. Andy, my stylist, nailed it from my first appointment. He asked all the right questions that let me know he truly understands how to handle my texture. My cuts have been amazing with him and I love that he diffuses me (most stylists just want to blow out my hair which isn't the best since I wear my hair natural with my wave). Amelia is also amazing with my color. She's so patient with my hair as we worked to find my goldwell formula (I come from wella territory). Shes so knowledgeable about color that it made me instantly feel at ease. I don't want to have difficult hair lol. But glad I found a team that can handle it and allow it to thrive !

Yelp
Allison Campbell is amazing! HIGHLY recommend her. My hair was so dry and I had a lot of breakage (but of course I wanted to still be blonde). We went through an in-depth consultation and came up with an action plan.. my hair is the brightest blonde and healthiest it's been in years! Not to mention she's so fun and such a sweet heart. Ya'll go book her, you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Allie is absolutely amazing! I always trust her to make me the Dallas Blonde of my dreams with her incredible balayage technique and perfect cuts! She listens to exactly how I want my hair and does even better than imagined! So grateful to have found her and sad I have to share her with Nashville now!

Yelp
Really not a fan of this salon. I had my hair colored here, and she did not listen to what I wanted at all. I asked for purple and I came out pink and blonde. And I had to come back a second day for her to fix it, and it still was not anything special. For $500, not the experience I was looking for. I honestly feel like I could've done the same thing at home. This place wasn't very welcoming and felt elitist
