I seriously thought I had reviewed this place already, but since I haven't, it seems about time that I did.
I can't find enough good things to say about Brave Barbershop. It's in a very accessable part of town, has parallel parking right in front on the street, and also has a lot right next to the building with free parking as well. And worst case scenario, if the street and lot are both full, there's a side street a block north where you can park as well.
For a person like me, Brave is like stepping into a fully safe and care free "geek-zone". Immediately upon entering, you'll notice Star Wars nostalgia everywhere, lots of personal flare at each barber's stations, and lots of old Hollywood Throwback pictures as well. Not only that, but they have a TV and a a 3-in-1 video game system that plays NES, Genesis, and Super NES games. So if you've got some extra time and want to have a little fun, show up early to get down on some Mario. And where else are you gonna go where you here Slayer, Minus The Bear, Eminem, and Rush all in a row on the stereo?
Anyways, down to business. Personally, I'd be willing to bet every single barber here is amazing at their craft, but I'm a very picky person and go back to what I know and like. That being said, AJ is the only person I'll ever let cut my hair. Even if I'm on tour for 2 or 3 months and badly need a trim, I'll wait til I get home to let her do it. Not only does she do a great job, but she's great to talk to in the 30-45 minutes I'm in the chair, as well as everyone else that's in there as well.
They have a wide range of hair products, and beard products, which is great for a guy like me. In fact, one of their beard products is made by one of their barbers in the shop, and is much better than a lot of other products I've used.
I would absolutely, highly recommend Brave to anyone in need of a trim, color, or any other hair needs. Thanks to AJ, Josh, Hunter, Andi, and everyone else at Brave, you guys make it exciting to come and get a hair cut.
