Local Pho

Ordered the rare beef pho. Overall, the broth is pretty good! Deep and flavorful, nothing exceptional. The "rare beef" was pretty low quality, and relatively short on the amount given especially at the price point. The sides (1 slice of jalapeno, 1 wilted leaf, bean sprouts, 2 tiny slivers of lime) were rather underwhelming in the quantity too. This is a fine stop for anyone craving Pho but probably subpar for a city like Seattle, and not worthy of going out of your way to try this place.

Service was slow and the amount of protein in the Pho and rolls was minimal. Actual flavors were fine, but the wait was too long and value for the food wasn't there. Won't be back.

I had the combo pho, spring rolls and coconut juice. The pho broth is very light in spices, however I think they’re going for a traditional northern style. The meat is plenty enough, cooked in some broth because it had more star anise flavor. The noodles are from dry, not soft but this one breaks apart too easily. The spring rolls are massive however it contains shrimps only. It would have better if they had some slice pork with it because there wasn’t enough shrimp. The roll doesn’t have any herbs like mint. The peanut sauce is okay, but they provide enough so be sure to ask for more. The atmosphere is quaint. The place is clean but disorganized with stuff everywhere. I was there at 7pm on a Wednesday, they had one cook and one waiter and it was a busy night. Amazingly the waiter managed to keep everyone satisfied. He prioritized guests that are sitting and leaving newly arrived guests waiting. The value for the money and service are what keeps everyone coming back.

I came in on a cold day with my family for some lunch after walking around pike place. The broth was delicious, and the pho rare beef was perfectly sliced. The chili oil was also very delectable, although not spicy. My partner enjoyed the banh mi, and my dad had the vermicelli. The egg rolls were perfectly cooked, with a crunchy exterior and simple yet savory sweet chili sauce. If parking weren't so difficult, I'd return. Thank you for having us! Also, very affordable.

We stopped by this place to try it out while we were visiting in town.. We had the combo pho and pork vermicelli with one egg roll. The pho broth tasted okay. Noodles and meats were good in the broth. The vegetables tasted pretty fresh. The vermicelli noodles didn't taste right, because they were a different kind of noodles instead of vermicelli and were pretty soggy. The pork tasted okay and the egg roll was pretty small for the price. I had a strawberry bubble tea with lychee jelly. It tasted okay too.. You can come try at your own risk.

The establishment is easy to locate. There is not a lot of parking, but if staying downtown is walkable distance. The place is small but welcoming. The service is outstanding, they’re really attentive. The food came fast and it was lovely, get the combo pho and the spring rolls, you won’t be disappointed. Overall, if you’re visiting Seattle I would recommend coming. 10/10 would come back.

I for the first time tried Pho and I loved it.. this place is really amazing and have few vegetarian options included as well. Great in taste and served hot. The owner is friendly. Service is fast and it’s worth the price.

Meh, I was craving pho and found this place and wasn't impressed. I ordered the combo pho and while it came with a lot of meat, the brisket was very tough. The broth is also very bland, and the soup was served lukewarm. The tendon pieces were nice and tender though. Service is non-existent, it's basically 1 guy running FOH and 1 guy in the back. Might be an okay takeout place, but I wouldn't recommend coming in person. Prices are good though!

The portion is big. The grilled pork VERMICELLI was good. The Pho broth did not taste like traditional bone soup; it tasted more like instant seasoning. Still, it was okay. The server is not very friendly . Maybe because he's the only one here besides the cook.

I've always wanted to try this restaurant. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy eating here. I had their rare steak pho. The broth was a bit bland. The noodles weren't cooked too well. The service was decent. The server just took our order and went to work. It took a bit of time for the pho to come out. I didn't enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant. They weren't playing music, but they were watching videos on their phone. The place isn't that decorated and it didn't smell too well. I wouldn't come back here again.

We went here today for lunch and I had the rare beef pho and my mom had chicken with the beef broth. The broth was flavorful and different but not in a bad way. My beef was tender with no fatty or chewy parts. The accompaniments were fresh. Both bowls were a fair price of $13.50. Overall, no complaints.

The meat literally so beautifully cooked. The banh mi had a good crunch, the veggies are well marinated. I got it to go and it still tasted good after half an hour time. The guy who took the order was also friendly and nice! The shop is small but feels homey. As a Vietnamese immigrant, I would recommend:)

I've been a regular at Local Pho for about 10 years. Recently, I ordered food online to be ready the next day (7/23/25), and paid as normal on the website. When we went to pick up the order, the restaurant was closed. We got no food for our team lunch, and scrambled to quickly find something else. I've reached out to Menufy, who handles online orders and they could not get ahold of Local Pho to get a refund. I reached directly to Local Pho directly with no response. Maybe they're closed down? I haven't been able to check in person. We will have to dispute the credit card charge, but I'm certainly not going back there until I get a refund.

Dreadful. Vietnamese iced coffee was made with soured milk. Spring rolls not rolled well at all. They fell apart and the peanut sauce was awful. My chicken bun--I left 3/4 in the bowl.

Everything closes early in Seattle. This place was open later which is why we walked over here. I had the pho and was really not impressed with the pho beef broth. It was lacking flavor and prob comparing to other phos that I had it wasn't good. They had fresh basil and sprouts to go with my pho but the broth made it blah. We also order some Banh Mi sandwiches. Was missing the heat - there was no jalapeños in it to give it some heat and we also ordered some grilled pork over rice which the kids didn't enjoy either. Looks more touristy place and to be honest the customers were non-Asian so I saw other folks ordered the spring rolls which looked fine. Just saying from a person who loves to eat Vietnamese food.

They ran out of bread at 6:30 on a Friday. To make up for it they served the Pho without beansprouts, cilantros or basil.

Local Pho - This used to be my go-to lunch spot, but today was my last visit. I was served a cold bowl of beef pho with no condiments, and the service was just as bad. The place wasn't even busy. In 40 years of eating pho, I've never had it served cold -- unacceptable.

No onions in the pho accept green onions . Lastly the cleanliness 3/10 I was handed my straw already open and hand on the mouth part. The place could use a good cleaning. Bathrooms: broken door handles, you'll get the code but the door knobs are broken.

As I was feeling under the weather, thought of having some pho. This was the only place opened till 9 pm and I am glad I did try it. I ordered Chicken Pho with Beef Broth. The broth was flavorful and chicken was soft and tender. I will definitely go back again! The service was quick too! The quantity was great as well!! I came out as a happy kid

Don't come here if you want authentic Vietnamese food. It's owned by Chinese people I believe. The grilled pork tasted nothing like regular vietnamese grilled pork, it tastes like a mix of teriyaki pork and bbq pork (char siu). It's dry and chewy, I was so disappointed, never have I ever had bad grilled pork.

Came as they were closing (we didnt know they close at 9pm) and they insisted that it was ok to dine in. I ordered a bowl of pho to share with my friend with some fresh rolls. The broth hit the spot, I would love to come back here and try some of their other dishes. The staff was so kind and didn't make us feel rushed or feel any type of way about arriving late, very casual and relaxed, I would come here again.

Seattle pho is something I have missed ever since I moved away, especially when I am feeling under the weather. On a recent trip to visit friends, I found myself a bit under the weather and knew exactly what I wanted for dinner. I took the recommendations of others who said this place had the best veggie pho, and I was not led astray! This was seriously the best veggie pho I've ever had! It was fresh and flavorful, and the tofu was cooked just right. I liked that there was an option for a larger broth, as the broth is really my jam when it comes to pho. I even found the noodles better than others I've had, and I can only explain that as the right ratio of broth to noodles. All in all, this is a great spot, and I would definitely get more pho from them when I am back in Seattle!

As a pretty regular customer at local pho, im honestly not quite sure what keeps bringing me back here. Its solid food, but not the best pho I've ever had. Perhaps it's just the rainy Seattle weather which makes local pho such a great place to have dinner. This time I came to local pho, I ordered the rare beef + meatball pho with extra vegetables. Thw vegetables were gave the soup a nice crunch, as not too overcooked and had a good diversity of texture. The meatballs were not particularly flavorful, but they were a solid addition to the dish. Especially when paired with the hoisin sauce, which made up for the meatballs lack of flavor. The rare beef was pretty good as well, and was a solid addition to the bowl of pho when dipped in the hoisin sauce. Noodles were good too, with hoisin sauce. I'm sure you're seeing a pattern here: the star of the dish was the hoisin sauce. Everything was good enough to allow the rich sauce to shine, but mediocre on its own. Nonetheless, I quite enjoy coming here, as the food is solid, service is fast, and the food is fairly cheap. Would reccomend, just don't get your hopes too high!

Loved it! Seemed very popular for a 7:30 on a Tuesday, too. Started with Spring rolls with delicious peanut sauce. A fellow Yelp review recommended the chicken pho with beef broth and it had such a dynamic flavor! My husband had the chicken pho with vegetable broth and that was delicious, too. Nice employees and a relaxing place for a quicker, cozy dinner.

I've been here 4-5 years ago and revisited this place and decided to try the seafood pho , was very good when you add the other condiments and hot sauce . A nice local place with large servings service was super fast we got our food out in 10 minutes

However, they are reliable, ingredients always taste fresh. Their bah mi is also tasty. Why didn't I give it higher? I ordered extra noodles paying $2.5, yet I feel like I just have the normal portion. Anyways, I would come back.

My friend and I wanted pho on a cool evening in Seattle. There was enough seating inside and some seating outside. It's classic downtown seattle so be aware of your surroundings. Street parking. We were greeted upon arrival and sat at a four top table. The menu is simple which made it easy to decide. We opted for the veggie and tofu pho and the combo pho. All the add in ingredients (basil, sprouts, jalapeños) were fresh. There is only one size pho which I wish there were two options. I do agree the price is a little high but such is life now. Everything was good, nothing special but I do want to come back and check out other items on the menu. They were very busy and service was good despite the business.

hubby and I were craving some fun after hearing about how good Seattle's is. This one was closest to our hotel so we decided to walk there. The lady was so nice she seated us immediately. We got waters and hot tea. The restaurant had a few other people in it and it was really clean. Tea was nice it was almost like a buckwheat. we both got pho he got the combo and I got something with like well done beef and meatballs. Everything was so fresh and so tasty especially on a cold night. We literally got back home earlier today and we were talking about how much we were craving this place. Next time we come back to Seattle, we will definitely be sure to eat here again.

Every time I come here I get the sesame beef banh mi with a side of pho broth and it never disappoints. Granted I find myself paying a bit more for banh mi than I would in places outside of Seattle, the price can only be expected given its location right in downtown.

Five star for the hospitality. The waitress(probably the owner) made me feel like home. She offered us the corn tea and explained what it is to us. Combo pho: 4/5 comes with big portion, the broth the meat were tender but the noodle was a bit over cooked. I'd definitely come back again!!

Great, friendly service! Food comes out very timely. I ordered the Combo Pho which is a Pho Dac Biet (all of the cuts of meat, including meatballs). The only thing missing was tripe. I felt the broth lacked depth of flavor although the aroma was fragrant. I asked for some fish sauce and usually I do not add hoisin or sriracha to my pho broth but I went for it this time to give it a boost. The beansprouts and Thai basil were fresh! The noodles were slightly overdone (becomes a bit gummy). But overall the portion was colossal and well worth the $14.99 price per bowl. There's plenty of seating for small groups 2-6. Bathroom provided in the back for customers. Quaint, delightful Vietnamese restaurant in Belltown.

So glad a tried this place! It's a small family business with a nice little patio to eat on. I just grabbed take out - but it was packed up nicely to go with the broth and condiments on the side so it was perfectly fresh when I got home to eat. The flavor of the broth was great and the meat was very flavorful as well. Noodles were perfectly cooked. Also it was a huge portion! Everyone was very friendly & service was great definitely be back!

Looking for lunch, I tried Local Pho. I opted for the shrimp salad, which is $18. For that price point I'd be looking for something that's fresh, unique, and tasty. What I got was 2 out of 3. While this salad was fresh and tasty, I think there could be something missing to make this a stand out. Maybe more of the dressing? Maybe tossing the salad in the dressing before serving (I ordered to go). But there needs to be just a little something more to make this pop at this price point. I'd opt for phô next time rather than a salad that I can have anywhere for less.

Ambiance was not super nice but it was decently clean and the owner lady was super nice and attentive. My friend and I both ordered seafood pho and a side of egg rolls. Egg roll was not really good so I wouldn't recommend it. However, seafood pho had so much fresh seafoods in it and the broth was awesome. Visiting from LA, I did not have much expectation about the food quality from Pho restaurants in Seattle but it was a very nice pleasant surprise. Will definitely visit this restaurant again if I visit Seattle again in the future.

owner has professional mind. she is always worried about their customer. I ate pho and rice, they were so great. If I visit Seattle, I defintely visit again.

Must try. I loved it. First, 5-stars just for being ready to serve on time. I arrived at 9:58 AM and they were ready. I ordered a Combo Pho and had it in front of me within minutes; steaming hot, just the way Pho should be. I'm a big eater and I usually finish everything in my bowl, down to the last drop; but the portion was large enough I could not finish the whole broth. The barley tea was a nice touch at the end where I could rinse my pallet and further enjoy the feeling in my stomach and my body for the fine meal I just had. Thank you!

What happened to this place? I used to be great, now a C minus. Weak broth overcompensated by the star anise, unbalanced, one-dimentional. Joltingly bad music: Friends themesong seguing into Jessie's Girl. Styrofoam to-go containers. Spring rolls good.

Location/Parking: Located across the street from Regrade Park (dog park) in Belltown. Parking can be found along 3rd Ave. and other surrounding streets. Ambiance/Decor: Quiet ambiance/ with modern furnishings. Service: Service was good. Staffers were friendly and attentive. Our pho bowls came out fast. Pho Of Choice: We ended up getting the combo pho ($, which came with tendon, rare steak, and thinly sliced meatballs. Sure wish they included tripe. I thought the bowl of pho was decent, but thought the soup base was sweet. Portion size was good, but could be a little more generous with their meat. Pho For Thought: Wouldn't mind coming back if I was in the area.

Bowl of chicken Pho is a basic meal and is pretty good here. Freshness is not something you can fake. Good service as well.

Perfect bowl of pho for a typical day here in Seattle. Overcast, cold and damp brushed away briefly by a hot bowl of the pho combo. The traditional side of fresh bean sprouts, Thai basil and lime accompanied by my mix of housing and chili sauces. Yummy for my tummy! Convenient to our hotel around the corner as well. While I was hoping for beef stew, the combo was quite a good alternative.

We stumbled upon this Pho place while walking in Belltown trying to land a place for lunch. I ordered vermicelli tofu + one egg roll. My friends ordered beef pho and pork ba minh. Everyone loved the food! I especially loved my tofu vermicelli. It was so flavored and not boring at all like how normally tofu is. I am pleasantly surprised and I will be back again. Spring rolls were good too!

Great neighborhood feeling Pho spot. Staff was nice and helpful. Food came out very quickly. I had the Rare Beef Pho. Beef and accompaniment all tasted very fresh. But obviously the broth was the star. Nice and warming with good depth of flavor. Fairly large portion size too. Highly recommend and would go back.

Awesome spot! Took my pho virgin and they will forever be my bar standard for good Pho. The only hiccup is they looked at me as if I had 6 eyes when I walked in. I went all in as soon as I sat down. I had the rare & well done beef Pho and Spring Roll. I believe people really eat with their eyes first, everything was beautiful. The Spring Roll were so fresh with mint and cilantro - the peanut dipping sauce contemplated it very well. The Pho was amazing, I am typically a Ramen guy but this might be my new think. The Rice noodles were delicious, the beef was perfect and I love the fact they gave fresh herbs, beansprouts and jalapeño for additional flavor. Overall Great stick to your ribs food!

This was some pretty good pho. No small/large size to pick from, just one size, but good portion. Their broth has a rather unique flavor to it - with a more aromatic taste vs. other places which may provide a more rich taste. Definitely worth a try if you're in the Belltown area. Also ordered a pork banh mi sandwich for a whopping $7.99, but it was tasty and they stuffed it with much more meat than you would normally find in typical banh mi sandwiches, so I'll give them a pass on that :P

Belated review several months later: Was here on a work trip with a colleague, and we were intending to go to the Korean restaurant next door but it was closed. We love Vietnamese food too, so we ended up walking into this place. Ended up getting some fried prawns, spring rolls, and a couple of bowls of pho. The appetizers were phenomenal - I was a huge fan of the fried prawns especially. Spring rolls were fresh and filling, and the pho was decent as well. They did their best to space everyone out so that people weren't next to each other, which we appreciated. Overall, it was a great dinner on a cold night!

This was a last minute reservation on a Friday evening and I was pleasantly surprised! Their outdoor seating is pretty limited but their food is delicious I was surprised they were not packed! Lots of flavor and the staff was super sweet, helpful, and accommodating! I requested extra bean sprouts and she happily gave me a heaping amount! Our waitress was wearing a mask and covid conscious!

This is a cute little family owned business. Super friendly staff. Food was ready in less than 5 minutes. Served boiling hot. Large portions. Broth is delicious. Tofu and vegetable pho had a plethora of different veggies. The fried tofu was perfect. Definitely recommend!

Their pho is good. Their portions are good. Their prices are pretty good even with inflation and it being in Belltown. I'm sure meat prices are really high nowadays. But have you tried their garlic chicken wings?!? ITS AMAZING!! Highly recommend their garlic chicken wings. You won't regret it

GOT FOOD POISONING. DO NOT GO HERE. My coworker and I both got chicken dishes (him Banh mi and me chicken and rice). I spent 5 hours throwing up that night, come into work and realize he did too. I call to inform them and the hostess goes "well what do you want me to do about it?" Go in for a refund and the OWNER says no!! $30 refund she denied. She asked us for a hospital bill. When we couldn't provide one, she said no refund and shrugged her shoulders. Didn't hesitate, think twice, or apologize for us getting sick.
