Yelp
First time in Fairhope visiting family. Met them in the alley at Locals for a casual, quick meal and drinks. First of all, what a pretty alleyway! Such a beautiful area to have a meal. Ambiance was top-notch. Here's what we ate:
VEGGIE BURGER
I chose the "Ashley" version, which had Fenugreek cheese, mushrooms, sauteed peppers, and peppercorn mustard on focaccia. It was pretty good, although not as amazing as the description sounded. It was a big burger; the patty was nice and flavorful. I would order it again.
PORK BURGER
This was my husband's choice. He did a "Build Your Own" with sauteed onion and mushroom, red pepper aioli, garlic bleu cheese. He didn't really like it all that much despite the tasty ingredients. This surprises me as it's hard not to love a burger.
ARRANCINI
Three words: fried risotto balls. Pretty much all you need to know. They were TASTY. You get risotto (good), red pepper sauce (good), FRIED (gooooooooood) ... I loved them very much, what can I say?
FRIES
Now these were delicious! I love me a good hand cut french fry.
Overall, this was a nice dining experience. The food was good, the atmosphere was beautiful - we would definitely come back to try something else non-burger-y.
