😊: Great location, beautiful interiors, cozy room with everything, what you need, the host, Filippo is very friendly, nice and helpful. Perfect place for a stay (and a "slow travel") in beautiful Ferrara..

😊: The owner is very-very nice, speaks English really well, and is happy to help with everything. The room is good, not very big, but cosy. Very clean..

We were upgraded to a delightful apartment in an adjoining building, which was marvelously well equipped and comfortable. (In a bit of an Italian time-warp, but perfectly functional and very clean -- we loved it!) Delicious, ample breakfast in the charming hotel breakfast room. Obviously a well run operation. Perfect location within steps of nearly everything you'll want to do in Ferrara. Highly recommended.

The perfect location in Ferrara, within the center of this small, historic city. We were greeted by Filipo, whose family runs the place. Instead of just giving us our key and leaving us to our own devices, he sat with us in the courtyard, told us about the sights, the MyFe card and good places to eat. Then he took our bags up to our apartment. He’d upgraded us to their best suite. We were very comfortable and would recommend the Locanda to anyone. I wish we’d stayed here and taken the train into Bologna when we wanted to see that city!

My husband and I visited Ferrara for 3 nights in September. Filippo greeted us when we arrived and provided us with a map, marking on it places he recommended and thought we would enjoy. He also marked suggested restaurants in the area. Our room was large, with a little kitchenette for us to use, if we wished. The room and the bed were both comfortable. Breakfast was bread, homemade jams, something sweet, sliced meats and cheeses, coffee (including specialty coffees) or tea. We took full advantage of the included bikes and found they were a great way to see the city. Filippo also marked a suggested route for getting around on the bikes. The city is flat and very bike-friendly. The location of this B&B was super - very central but the room was still quiet. All in all, Ferrara was a great stop on our Italian vacation and this B&B suited us perfectly.

This B&B is not a place where you just get a comfy bed and a tasty breakfast, you get a friendly host, a knowledgeable guide and a piece of Ferrara's rich history to go with it too! Filippo made sure we felt like home and had a great stay, and talking with him over breakfast made it feel more like staying with a friend than in a hotel. The house is filled with art, antique furniture and interesting objects so if you are looking for modern and sleek look elsewhere but if you appreciate staying in a historic environment that still have all modern amenities this is the place for you. We would love to come back to Borgonuovo and Ferrara, we truly had an enchanting stay!

The hotel is in the heart of the town, in the best imaginable area in Ferrara. This is a small, family-run hotel with a very welcoming and warm atmosphere. The host is very helpful, with a personal approach towards each of his guests. Filippo is really focused on comfort and the satisfaction of the hotel-stayers, I was very pleased that I spent two days at Locanda Borgonuovo.

We stayed at the Locanda Borgonuovo for a week from September 11th – 18th 2019. It was an entirely positive and charming experience, the perfect introduction to Ferarra. The location is ideal, the house is a long-standing family home full of character, and the rooms (we stayed in one of the apartments) cater for all one’s needs. The delicious breakfast was an excellent start to the day and the owner, Filippo, a very helpful and interesting host. One could not ask for more.||||Diana and Peter. London
