Locanda del Benaco

Salo is such a lovely town and by far the nicest we went to around Lake Garda. Unlike some other towns, the main coastal road does not go through the middle of it, so it is more peaceful and clean and the wide pedestrianised promenade is just lovely with pretty views across the bay.||The hotel sits right on the promenade with the good restaurant having seating inside and outside on the promenade and is also close to where ferrys can take you to other towns around Lake Garda.||We had a suite with Balcony and Lake view – a duplex room with a good sized living area, a balcony and then the upstairs ensuite bedroom – when you lay down in bed you have great view across the bay which is particularly nice to wake up to. Our bedrooms entry and living area was on the third floor and the bedroom on the fourth floor with an internal staircase (of course) so there was no noise from the restaurant and it had good views from the balcony.||Cristina provided an excellent buffet breakfast that you could eat outside with a lovely view across the bay. Though on the pedestrianised promenade, it was deserted, very peaceful and so delightful for our 8am breakfast.||We really enjoyed staying here and the hotel team were so very welcoming and helpful despite our lack of Italian.

Lovely restaurant with delicious food and a warm atmosphere. The staff, however, seemed a bit overwhelmed, and unfortunately no one mentioned that the signature dessert contained alcohol, even though I had clearly said at the beginning that I am pregnant. I couldn’t enjoy it and simply passed it to my husband. Overall still a good experience, but a little more attentiveness to guests would make it perfect.

We loved staying and dining here while in Salò. The food, rooms, and hospitality met our every need, exceeded our expectations and we were made to feel like family. We look forward to visiting again someday.

Everything was perfect!👌 Excellent service, incredible view in the lake with quiet atmosphere. The food was from another planet. We just loved everything and we are not easy to please 😇

Loved the restaurant! Very specious terras in an the pedestian only road! Perfect view at the bay of Salo! We lunched here and loved it. Price is also very good for the quality 👌🏻

Restaurant is great, working till late, we had drinks and other day dinner. Food is great. Service is super. Will be back soon to have lamb chops and octopus ❤️

I simply love it here. Very nice, clean and spacious room, lovely hosts, incredible good food. Breakfast delicious, dinner delicous. The view!!!! First row lake side. Best thing: well behaved pets allowed. Best choice ever made.

An believable dinner and what a view it offers of the bay. Definitely.Any fish dinner would be an absolutely satisfying experience.

Located on Lake Garda, this is a jewel of a place. Rooms are uniquely decorated and the views is fantastic. The owner operators are so friendly and kind and look after your every need. We have wonderful breakfast spread everyday with all kinds of local fresh ingredients. Dinner was also heavenly. It's a great place to stay and we highly recommended it!

This is not only a great place to eat, but a great place to stay in Salò, Italy ~ located on Lake Garda. The owner takes great care of you, treats you better than family and provides excellent service. The breakfast layout was fantastic! Dinner was even more incredible. Definitely an experience in itself. Not only had great service, but excellent recommendations. It's a warm and wonderful place to go to. Would highly recommend this to friends, family and anyone who loves to find a jewel when traveling. Want to get back soon. Highly recommend La Laconia del Benaco.
