My husband and I chose Locanda dell' Artista for our very first stay in beautiful Tuscany, and it was such an otherworldly experience. A true inspiration for every artistic soul out there! This secluded boutique inn exceeds all expectations with its poetic charm, romantic atmosphere, and picturesque view of rolling hills. Everything about it is like a work of art - from the garden, and the preserved authenticity of the property, to the details of the interior. Baker and Cristian are the warmest hosts we've ever met, and their incredible staff took care of our comfort by making our stay truly memorable. We'll be definitely coming back!

We had a magical and unforgettable stay at this boutique hotel. All the details were taken care of, and the service from the staff was amazing. They helped us with reservations and directions, and made us feel very welcome. We stayed for 2 nights and it was way too short. The breakfast view on the terrace was stunning, it was incredibly fresh, tasty and simple. Loved it. Only two things to note that would make it even more amazing, having some light snacks or apertivo in the afternoon by the pool (fruits or snacks) and light music in the restaurant. The restaurant experience was nice, but was a bit too quiet, brightly lit and formal for my taste, we also didn't love the roast beef salad, but maybe it was an off night. Overall, this was an INCREDIBLE experience and perfect Tuscan memory.

I totally had a crush for this place. What drove us there was the Michelin starred restaurant, what made us fall in love was the atmosphere and the view. The owners turned the place into a haven of relaxation in the Tuscan hills. The property holds a gorgeous swimming pool with a view over the vineyards and olive trees. Inside the building, the decor is country chic, with personal touches from the owners, like the Disney’s Beauty & the Beast drawings in the ground floor toilets. Also quite enjoyable was the “honesty bar” they made at the guests’ disposal. The staff was very very friendly and efficient. We were welcomed with a complimentary glass of local wine and the small issue we had with our bathroom’s door got fixed by a carpenter the next day. And they also kindly booked a restaurant in a nearby village with a stunning sunset view. Everything was perfect. Especially the fact that there were no children to spoil the peace of the place. I was already missing this place the second we drove out the driveway.

What more can I say other than this is one of the BEST places my husband and I have ever stayed. We visited this past July, and owners Baker and Cristian, alongside their amazing staff, made the experience first class. The decor/ambiance oozes style, we even worked some of the bathroom finishes into our newly renovated home, we loved it that much. Perfect boutique size with a great pool and restaurant, and location is close to Certaldo and San Gimignano, so lots to see, eat, drink, and do. I have heard from people that this was a great place to stay and visit. I never realized that it would be this amazing. From the moment we walked up and was greeted by Baker and Cristin, we felt like family. When we were shown our room, I could not have been more delighted. Everything was so beautiful. Our view was the pool, the gorgeous fields of olive trees and grape vines. We could see the towers of San Gimignano which is amazing considering they are a thousand years old. The service that we have had is beyond belief. When we wanted to go to any village for a day trip, Baker, Sara, or Rosella would give us maps, recommendations and details of each village. After a long day of roaming we can come back, do a quick rinse in the outdoor shower and have a swim. I really cannot recommend this place highly enough and cannot wait to come back to see my new "family"

The views are breathtaking, the entire team here are absolutely incredible and the food here is amazing! The rooms were spacious and were equipped with capsule coffee machines. The property itself is so well maintained which adds to the peaceful atmosphere. This is a great place to relax and unwind. Their olive oil is great too. They really looked after us even during dinner. They made a different vegetarian dish for us every night. Bring your own car/rental car here. The drive here is also fantastic. Highly recommended for anyone that needs to escape for a few days or just needs to relax

Wow. Simply wow. If you want to add some stars to your Tuscany vacation, this is the place to launch your explorations from. Amazing rooms, excellent pool, stellar food, and phenomenal service, they have really got it all. This hotel in itself is a destination. It's only minutes from San Gimignano our family's favorite walled city in Tuscany. Good website too. We are proud to recommend Locanda Dell 'Artista.

This charming Inn sits atop a hillside with gorgeous panoramic views of the Tuscan hillside from every direction. From the moment you enter the property, Baker and Cristian welcome you as a long lost friend, offering assistance of directions, restaurant suggestions, any touring you might want in the area, while also respecting your privacy. My large room was beautifully decorated, my bed cloudlike, the updated bathroom was well appointed with terrific ammenities. Even the bathroom had gorgeous views! Twice I had al fresco dinners at the Michelin starred restaurant Al 43 overlooking that serene Tuscan hillside, with delicious meals and beautiful presentation. Wine choices from the sommelier were perfect, the wait staff attentive. My 2 night stay at Locanda was too short, and I hope to return to this lovely country inn, hosted by the absolutely perfect Baker and Cristian, very soon! Jeanette G.
