The idea is great! Eating clean, healthy food with clearly listed ingredients. In theory... When I asked for a specific ingredient list (pepper or garlic/onion), I never received confirmation either way, despite my explaining that I cannot eat them. Perhaps it was the first week of the server, they did not know what to ask/inform, which is the main reason we came here due to major restrictions in our elimination diets with my friends. It is a small place, take out and tint cafe style. Dine in is a good idea but eating in the middle of this chaos where you can order in one foot away is very weird. It might be easier if I asked the ingredients myself then having to rely on the server for The three foot walk to the chef and the register staff. Food was good, as expected. But... The plates are plastic, melamine or some other toxic stuff... Not non toxic porcelain or glass... Take out containers also ooze micro plastic... So, the idea is good (can be easily replicated at home with an oven though) but not the rest, which makes this place a bad idea for the ones who are truly looking to eat clean in a safe, non toxic way. NYC is truly lacking the healthy eateries like the west coast who embraced the lifestyle, not on paper only. Oh, also the server needs more training not to say right after cleaning the plates how will you pay? Ask how was everything , would you like dessert etc. then offer the bill and payment, in an empty place that was not close to the closing time.. that was very rude.
