Locarno Park

Nice alternative to Jericho beach. It is still pretty crowded but it's better than Jericho. I'm not sure if all the concession stands in this area are like this, but the prices were actually pretty low. 2 giant pieces of fish n chips for under $20. You get the same views you'd get at Jericho at Locarno, so I would recommend coming here if Jericho is busy.

Wonderful sandy beach, lots of shade in the park area, great spots to claim for a full-on day-long family picnic. The concession is convenient, with bathrooms and out door showers. And there’s another bathroom nearby - toward Jericho. Enjoy!!

Nice beach to relax and enjoy the water. The water is not the clearest with lots of seaweed on shore. The water also doesn't smell the best probably due to the many ships around. It is still relaxing and pleasant to chill

I really like this beach because it has a large area that is sandy. There are tree logs laying down on the sand and people take those first. The sea tide is very low. You can walk about 30 meters in and the water is still knee high which is awesome in case you have little kids. However once you get closer to the water the sand disappear and it becomes mud and it has a slimy feeling 😐. The are nice bathrooms close by and a concession where you can buy snacks 😋 if you arrive early you can find free parking but you will have to walk s few block. Otherwise there is paid parking next to the beach but in the afternoon is often full.

Great sand, water seems decent so far this summer, not as crowded as Jericho, Kits, or English Bay. Food is decent and not super over priced.

Beautiful place, not too busy, sandy beach and soft ocean floor. Good for swimming and the view is amazing.

It was amazing! The weather was great, lots of sunshine and the water was warm enough. There is a washroom at this beach which is hugely convenient. The downtown is visible from the beach and it looks breathtaking. The beach was a bit muddy and you can go a long way into the water in the mud. I would say please visit during low tide, you can walk a long way into the water. Otherwise the water comes very close to the slopy beach

This place is one of awesome places to BBQ in Vancouver! There were enough tables even if we went on Saturday and there were many ppl. I loved the vibes here looking at the ocean and having good food with summer breeze. Very fortunately I met a beautiful rainbow.
