A lovely warm and welcoming hotel. Our room was cozy and pretty. The American receptionist was very helpful and immediately put us at our ease after a long journey. The staff were attentive but not intrusive which we appreciated. Located perfectly in the lovely village of Luss. Our evening meal was delicious, especially the smoked salmon. Breakfast was tasty and hearty. I inquired about decaffeinated coffee and a generous pot appeared without further ado. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here.

Friendly service and generous portions but mixed reviews on the food. My baked sole was delicious but my partner’s steak was terrible. He asked for rare but arrived medium plus the chips were too salty to be eaten. The cheese board was too simple and the apple pie was soggy and not good at all. The kids meals were good though.

Attended family wedding in beautiful Luss. The hotel really did a great job in making sure the event went well despite the inclement weather ! Kitty was super efficient at keeping momentum behind the day. The function room was excellent and fit for purpose with the terrace being excellent when the sun did come out. The food was excellent and plentiful for the wedding meal and breakfast. On the development side, the hotel doesnt have a large bar area which when the restaurant was full with separate guests for meals meant the library was pretty full however this didnt detract from the experience.

This was a comfortable hotel with plenty of parking. The grounds are pretty, friendly staff and your normal Scottish food. The room was comfortable. From the front of the hotel, walk straight down the road to explore the village. It is a very easy walk. When you get to the end you will see the loch. If you turn right before you reach the loch the road will bring you to an old church called Luss Parish Church. The church has very old headstones and a Viking hog back stone dating from 1263. We were able to go inside the church and were given cookies from some local women. There is a donation box for money inside the church. Walk all four sides of the church. The locals were very friendly. If I remember correctly, there were two gift shops in the village.

Great dog friendly pub and food. Book for a meal if you can, it does get full. We came here for a couple of drinks on our first night in the village and were welcomed with our border collie to sit inside in the comfy library or in the large beer garden (with umbrellas and heaters if required). We booked for evening meal for the following night. The food is awesome and fairly priced for the quality. Service and staff exemplary. Well done to all staff here. Thoroughly recommend.

A truly awful experience. The only thing we could pick off the menu was burgers. Choice was niche and limited for the average restaurant goer. Would have had the fish and chips but we had it the day before. |The service by this young woman with dark hair was spectacularly disingenuous. She managed to serve us last despite requesting things like food or the bill before other tables she was serving. The burgers were out of a packet with frozen chips and were dry and tasteless. We paid £50 for two soft drinks and the burger and chips. Utter rip off. It ruined a lovely trip to Loch Lomond. Needless to say, we won’t be returning anytime this millennia.

Amazing function suite and Kitty and her team are incredible! Attended a week long event at the function suite at Loch Lomond Arms and had a fantastic time. The venue itself is lovely and in a brilliant location, the food was amazing but it's really the staff that made the event great. Everyone was so professional, super friendly and always happy to help. Kitty and her team really went over and above to make sure everyone had a great time. Would highly recommend for any events. Big thanks to all the team at Loch Lomond Arms :)

The Loch Lomond Arms Hotel was our third stop on our tour of Scotland and boy was this a great place to stay. We don't often stay in a pub/hotel, but this was areally great experience.||Staff - Friendly, professional and nothing was too much always eager to help. From Reception at check-in to the Bar and Restaurant. everyone was ready with a quick chat about where we were going or been and some excellent tips.||Room - We had the Colquhoun Room, which was very spacious and decked in tartan décor. The bed was comfortable and we had a couple of great nights sleep. There were views over the park and beer garden. The queen's Tree was across the road from our room. Even though it was on the road there was very little traffic noise. While we were there the room was kept clean and tidy each day. The bathroom was good although not very big, but comfortable. Plenty of extras available there as well. There was also a great old fire place in the room and one could imagine sitting around this on a winters night with a wee dram, pure bliss.||The tartan theme through the hotel, along with the pictures and wall ornaments really gives you that Scottish Highland feel.||Food - Breakfast was again excellent. Great choice of pastries and cold meats, with fruit and yoghurts. There was also a great selection of hot dishes, with the full Scottish delicious and filling. One thing we were starting to find out about Scotland was they don't scrimp on the servings.||We also ate in the Restaurant/Bar in the evenings. There was is good selection on the menu with a number of god wines to compliment the food. We both had the venison pie which was simply gorgeous according to my wife, who does not normally go for this type of meat. Served in a quaint metal dish, which reminded me of my what my Great-Grandmother used to use. Not only great food ,but memories as well.||Location - Situated on what used to be the old main road just outside the village of Luss. We found the Loch Lomond arms ideal to explore the village, loch and countryside around the village. It's about a ten minute walk from the hotel to the Luss Pier and beaches. There is a great beer garden with views out to the hills around and ample parking. Although it did get quite busy on Saturday afternoon, bit lots of friendly people and we even met someone from near our old home.||This should be your go to place if you plan a few days around Loch Lomond. Great Staff, food and beers. Ideal to explore the historic village of Luss, which lived up to its billing as the loveliest village in Scotland

Yelp
We stopped in on a rainy afternoon for some lunch in October of last year. We checked in and then were seated by the fireplace and brought menus. We opted for a burger for Morgan, and a steak and haggis pie for me, with sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Service was polite, and pretty quick. The only minor complaint we had was when Morgan ordered a whisky that he could clearly see on their bar, they had no clue what he was asking for. The food was phenomenal. The burger was really tasty and cooked well, and the steak and haggis pie...I could eat that every day of my life, it was that good. If you're in the area and looking for a good spot to enjoy some really tasty food, I highly recommend the Loch Lomond Arms. If we find ourselves back in Scotland, I will absolutely eat here again.

Yelp
Stayed in Luss for four nights. After having dinner here the first night we decided to dine here the other nights as well. Staff is friendly and helpful. There's plenty of tables - but be sure to make a reservation, on weekend it's full. Menu has some really good options on it. And then there are daily specials. Inside it's a nice pub/restaurant. Very comfy and cosy. Our English Bulldog was welcome as well. Then they got a nice selection of drinks at the bar with lots of different and also local whisky. We very much enjoyed the Loch Lomond brand. Here's what we had: Pot of Mussels - very nice and very fresh Cheese plate - nice selection of scottish cheeses Haggis with sides - the BEST haggis I've had so far; fantastic 1/2 dozen Oysters - amazingly great oyster; really a must-order homemade terrine - very enjoyable, but not the best starter on the menu Sunday Roast set menu (once with ham, once with lamb) - quite good, but the meat a bit dry Haggis balls - my favorite starter, could eat these all day every day Cured salmon - sadly not that great Steak Pie - a good choice; hot, crispy and creamy Burger and fries - a very nice, fresh burger; good quality meat Fish'n'Chips - very nicely done, fresh and crispy...and stays crispy to the end All in all they got a really good menu. What's standing out seafood-wise are the amazing oysters and wonderful mussels. Meat-wise it's definitely the delicious Haggis - as a starter or main. Equally great. Surely a place to come back to one day. We enjoyed it.

Yelp
Very disappointed for price. Hidden service charge. Did not expect Mc Donalds chips for the expensive prices. You need to do better and not rip people off. Not fair. Sorry but won't be back.

Yelp
Stopped in for a drink and to look at having dinner. I asked for a glass of the driest white wine they had. The bartender told me they were all dry and suggested an Italian wine. I got that walked into the other room sat down, took a sip. It was super syrupy sweet. I went back to the bar and talked to the manager. I told him I couldn't drink it was really sweet I'd ask for something dry. He told me his wine buyer said it was a dry wine - oh so sorry, then walked to the side of the bar and dumped it out. I assumed I'd be offered something else as it was clearly misrepresented. This was not the case and after going back and forth with the manager for 5 minutes where he informed me it was dry and e couldn't do anything about it. I kept asking him to taste it and he refused, then finally politely told me to basically f-off. At this point I didn't have the wine, I didn't have a refund and I wasn't offered anything new. I'll be contesting the charge. The waiter had basically offered me something as a replacement before the manager showed up, and seemed a bit embarrassed by the whole thing. They certainly have a lot to learn about basic customer service!

Yelp
5 STARS ALL AROUND! My husband and I came here for dinner with another couple and had an amazing experience! First off, the ambiance is so warm, cozy, and homey! We sat right next to a fireplace and the room that we were in looked like we were in an awesome home library or something. It was great. Secondly, the patrons and the staff were all so nice and sweet! All staff members and patrons had a very genuinely sweet personality and that made the experience so much better. Our server was excellent. She was so on top of everything. I started off with the special soup of the day. It was a delicious pureed potato lentil soup. For my entree, I had "The Loch Lomond Arms Fish & Chips" (ale battered North Sea haddock with hand-cut thrice-cooked chips, tartare sauce, and peas). Everything was excellent! The fish was super fresh and the fish & chips were delicious and crispy without being greasy! The chips were also excellent--the right amount of crispiness without being oily. The peas were great too! My husband is allergic to onions and garlic and his entree accidentally came out with onions and garlic, but our server was on top of it, took it back, and they re-made it super quickly! Everyone loved their food. For dessert, I had the "Camstraddan Rhubarb & Custard Tart" with Rhubarb Sauce, which was super interesting and delicious. It wasn't too rich and it was a very interesting dessert to try. I enjoyed it very much! My husband tried the "Baked Vanilla Cheesecake" with blueberry compote. I tried a bite of his and this was also excellent! The prices were a little up there, but still very reasonable for what you get. Overall, wonderful ambiance, friendly staff and patrons, delicious food, & fair prices. I would definitely recommend!

Yelp
A nice pub/hotel with plenty of space inside and good food which we did see coming out of the kitchen. Service was quick but unusually, for Scotland, a little abrupt. Prices, again for Scotland, a little higher. However, a nice stop off for a pint or two while visiting Loch Lomond.

Yelp
We didn't try food here and I must say it looked very good. We popped in after climbing a nearby hill. We decided we wanted a coffee before the drive back to Glasgow. It was valentines afternoon and reasonably busy. We asked at the bar if they had seats and informed that a room called 'the library' had spare seats and that 'James' would assist us with our order. We went through and James was rather unhelpful and wouldn't take our order and told us to order coffee at the bar, so back we went to the bar and ordered 2 flat whites. We went back to our seats and waited and waited and waited. My partner went through and seen our coffees sitting at the bar. No one bothered to tell us they were ready or bring them through. So by this point the coffees were now luke warm. Very disappointing and they have likely lost out on repeat business from us and as avid walkers we are in the area regularly . Management need to remind the staff of the importance of all customers and not just the ones they think will be spending money on the day. Short sighted business plan. I am giving it one star on the service and Luke warm coffee. Shame as the place looked great in stunning surroundings.

Yelp
On a recent trip to Scotland I had the pleasure of enjoying a meal at the Loch Lomond Arms Hotel. The restaurant decor is absolutely fabulous - I'm not sure how they combined warmth, modernity and taxidermy, but they did and I adore it. I got a real kick out of our waiter (a giant young man) who was attentive and sweet. The food was very plentiful, hardy and tasty. I liked that the chef found original ways to include traditional Scottish fare in the menu (haggis bonbons anyone?) as well as local produce. I would love to come here again.

Yelp
Stopped in here on a road trip with my wife up the west coast of Scotland. The hotel restaurant is nice and the staff were friendly. The food was good but quite expensive for what you get; you'll find the same prices everywhere in this small town though.
