Me and my wife were staying in a lodge down at Kiltarlity about 20 minutes away , but the storm had knocked the power out so we decided to find a hotel. This hotel was exactly what we needed . The staff were very friendly and our room was enormous with a lounge area aswell , great shower and very comfortable bed. The bar and lounge area was very nice and very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious.would definitely recommend this hotel.

Stayed in one of the garden cottages. Location is lovely, gardens and the architecture of the hotel are very picturesque. Staff are friendly and helpful and food was delicious. Downsides: The garden cottage is in serious need of some cosmetic attention. Painted lining paper on the walls in the sitting room was coming away, radiator was also hanging lopsided and the TV required a degree in engineering to get it to work. Stains on the carpet and soft furnishings, crack in the window pane, door did not have a door handle and was propped open by a fire extinguisher, light in the hall didn't work either. Upstairs the windows were painted shut - which seems dangerous should there be a fire. Additionally, the outside lights between the car park and the cottage never seemed to go on which made navigating the small slope from the hotel to the cottage in the dark with two elderly parents interesting to say the least. The cottage was clean, bathroom was nice. Have to say the chairs in the dining room could all do with reupholstering. Overall not bad, but for the money we paid for a two-night stay we didn't expect to find so many cosmetic issues.

A beautiful mansion in fantastic surroundings. The staff were professional, polite and friendly. It’s a pleasure to have crisp white linen on the table and food to complement. |Well appointed rooms with very large bathrooms all with superb views from each window.

Nice hotel with excellent service, but the restaurant was absolutely superb. Alex is a very talented chef, with a very delicate hand, producing very well balanced, elegant dishes with a subtle twist. For example adding a touch of stem ginger and lemon grass to our crab starter and a little star anise and beetroot gel to the chicken ballottine main. One to watch and highly recommended.

We spent 2 nights at the LNCHH while touring and found it the perfect place for a relaxing stay. The hotel is full of charm, so calm and spacious. The food provided by Alex in the evening (seriously good venison) and Dave at breakfast (Yummy fluffy pancakes) was second to none. The service by Jade, Daniel and Graham was exemplary, with nothing too much trouble. I wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you.

Excellent afternoon tea. A Massive selection fresh sandwiches and very lovely savoury delights. Catered for vegetarian in a very different way. Best non sausage roll ever with celeriac tartlet scoring 10. This was then followed with delicious cakes. We did have to box some of the very tasty fair to be enjoyed later. WONDERFUL surroundings, friendly attentive staff we 4 will return. Thank you for making a 50th for my friend so special.

We stayed here for one night and truly wished me hadn’t. We would’ve been much better off going to a cheaper property in town. This is NOT a luxury accommodation. The room wasn’t very clean, and although gigantic, was so empty it felt ominous and outdated. The updated bathroom was unclean and many details were overlooked. The carpet was filthy. I’m truly not sure who this property is geared towards… I would say it’s for an older crowd, but with no lift and basically no customer support, I couldn’t even say that. We didn’t get any help with our large bags, the rude front desk agent just watched my husband struggle up the stairs instead. The “bar tender” at first tried to put ice as well as the liquor in the shot glass she used to measure the drink until my husband asked her not to. When asked about room service, we were told they had to check with the chef, even though this is an advertised service. They never got back to us, and when we went down to ask again around an hour later (they didn’t even answer the phone when we tried calling from the room), we were informed the kitchen was now closed. We traveled for over 5 hours and were exhausted, and having no food upon arrival was really disappointing. No one gave us any recommendations for food in town either. The next issue came with the shower- if you’re wanting a hot shower after a long drive, don’t get your hopes up. The hot water stayed on for around 5 minutes before cutting out. My husbands shower was all cold even long after I had gotten out of mine. The bed was comfortable, but the sound of maybe the water heater (?) was so loud it was hard to sleep. Overall, extremely disappointed in this property and its lack of customer care. Go elsewhere.

**DO NOT BOOK THE COTTAGE** Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the very friendly staff who asked us about our trip and showed us some very great spots in Inverness. This was great. Then we were shown to the cottages. We were very disappointed by these. There are two of them and we were given cottage 2. It turns out they only market there cottage number 1 on booking and their website as this is the pretty and cosy one. We went to ask for an explanation and they said they could do nothing for us. Cottage 2 is not anything alike like cottage 1 apart from it looks pretty from the outside. We had 2 rooms which were spacious but that was it. The windows are very old and it was super hot in there. The living room is ridiculously small. They claim to have a kitchen in there but this is just ridiculous. The only great thing was the comfortable bathroom. We were therefore very disappointed to have been given this cottage instead of the nice cottage 1. Apart from that's the domain itself is beautiful and the breakfast in the morning was something I had never experienced before. Overal the staff was incredibly friendly as well. But I would not stay here again.
