Ah, the Marina Hotel - the culinary lighthouse of Loch Sport! 😄 Let me tell you about this waterfront wonder where the portions are as generous as the local gossip. Picture this: you're sitting there, gazing out at the glistening waters of the lake, while wrestling with a schnitzel the size of a small continent. Being the only public eatery in town, it's basically the United Nations of Loch Sport - where locals and tourists alike gather to debate life's greatest mysteries, like whether fish are actually biting today. The menu is a choose-your-own-adventure of comfort food, with daily specials that keep things interesting (because even in a small town, you can't eat the same parma every day!). And let me tell you, they keep the place cleaner than a neat freak's kitchen on inspection day. I particularly love how they've managed to be both a proper pub and a family-friendly establishment - quite a feat when you think about it. It's like that friend who can hang out with both your grandma and your rowdy mates without missing a beat. Look, it might not be Gordon Ramsay's latest venture, but it's got something better - authentic local charm and reliable good times. And in a town where dining options are about as numerous as palm trees in Antarctica, the Marina Hotel doesn't just meet expectations - it serves them up with a side of genuine hospitality. Would I recommend it? Well, unless you're expecting a three-hat fine dining experience (in which case, mate, you took a wrong turn about 300 kilometers ago), you're in for a treat. Just remember to bring your appetite - those portion sizes don't mess around!

The local pub is situated right on the lake with a fabulous view. The seafood platter was recommended as a great lunch at the hotel so we went with that. A pub style menu, the staff were super friendly and attentive. We were there in late November so not many people around and not much atmosphere but a great quiet spot for a bevie and a lunch. We wanted the view so we went during the day. Pub prices $34 for a seafood platter and the seafood was local caught at lakes entrance. thanks for having us.

I had a fantastic experience here! The T-bone steak was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful. The staff were warm and attentive, adding to the great atmosphere. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality. And the view? Absolutely stunning! I highly recommend this spot, especially for the meat lovers—you won’t be disappointed!

Oh my goodness...best fish and chips I have ever had. So good, we came back the next night for more. The staff are so friendly, the food was outstanding. I cannot rate their fish highly enough - thick slabs of local fish in a crunchy and light batter. Spectacular (and I never thought I would use that word to describe food!)

We had a fantastic Mother's Day lunch at Lakeview Bar and Bistro. The food was delicious, the staff were all very friendly, the kids played in the sand and we enjoyed the spectacular views.

Love this little place and the view. Staff are super friendly and welcoming having a laugh from the second you meet them. The place is a nice and neat venue with bistro and sports bar (if you’re lucky you’ll meet the local friendly chap in Bully (legend) Bistro has a wonderful view of the lake with outdoor and indoor sitting. Staff were great being attentive and friendly with good country hospitality. We had the oysters, frutti de mare, steak and salmon. All were delicious and such a good compliment with the wine selection. All were sizeable and cooked well. We came back the following night for a wine and watching the sun go down in this great little place whilst in loch sport. Thanks to the team there especially the Canadian / Dutch lad behind the bar and the ladies in the restaurant!

$35 for this satay chicken that was not only disappointing in size, but burned to a crisp on one side of the wafer thin piece of chicken, and barely cooked on the other side, satay sauce just tasted like lemongrass, rice was overcooked. Got the feeling it was microwaved as well as it was extremely hot and the chicken was rubbery. Went in the bin.

Yelp
Same owners for years. Dependable family pub-style food. Basically only public eatery in Loch Sport (which = only restaurant for 30km). Nice location over looking lakes, beach, pier & marina.
