this place is a gift and stationary store similar to a Paper Source so they have so many things I love looking through and purchasing. I am obsessed with cards and stationary so sometimes, I just walk in just to look around like a sort of high. My boyfriend will ask me "Wanna walk into Lockwood real quick?" EVERY time we walk past. I love it

Great little store packed with small tasteful gifts or ideas for various occasions.

Wonderful niche place to purchase various knick knacks, gifts, trivia items, candles, soap, etc. A wonderful variety store locally owned with locations in Beautiful Jackson Heights and scenic Astoria. Love that they carry Dr. Squatch soap as it's ingredients are wonderful for my skin. They also offer a rewards program with a points system to earn various rewards. My only thing is that they do have Dr. Squatch Heavy Grit soap but that is not a big deal.

Yesterday I called the store to ask if they had an item I knew I had seen in the store before. The person picked up and confirmed that they did have it in stock in the store. Walked into the store and was welcomed and greeted by Tasfia. I told her that I was the one who called in and she pointed to the shelf where the item was. She kindly offered her favorite scents and I took all her recommendations, I got incense matches in the scent - oriental blossom, rain and patchouli. Staff is friendly, attentive and superb customer service My friend gifted me one of these for my birthdays and when I use the bathroom I lit a match and use that short moments to enjoy the scent and incense smoke. I've been shopping here for as long as I have lived in Queens and love this store and all that they sell. I typically purchase a hair clip, socks, dish sponges, an econ friendly straw and a candle. A little hack post holiday season, I bought some cute and stunning ornaments 50% off. For anyone looking for NYC souvenirs, they have great ones that are all about Queens! I also come here to pick out the perfect gifts for my friend's children, love the book section. Glad to be within walking distance to this awesome and lovely store!

I can always find what I need for the kiddos in my life! And I keep coming back for more. However, I wish there was more variety for adults. A lot for adults seems branded with humor, or neighborhood names, or just branded in another way and I prefer a nice product with a bit more anonymity. Although a cookbook selection for adults could be great. A cookbook, a candle, and down the street for a bottle of wine would make a good gift. Card selection is great! The staff is always wonderful and helpful when I ask questions. They take safety protocols seriously in a covid world.

It's a small store. Quirky things at the front, hippie stuff in the middle, and things for toddlers at the back. They have a good selection of quirky socks, which I like. They also have a good selection of candles. There are crystal/mineral specimens, very fancy soaps, and witchcraft books in the middle. There are earrings and enamel pins too. (They also have a few celebrity candles, which I find strange, but is part of Lockwood's style.) They have vintage-style school posters which are very nice. The jewelry is a little overpriced, but the books are appropriately priced. I most definitely recommend the quirky socks. It's the best part of the store. The clerks are very nice and they have a modern cash register on a tablet. You can also purchase gift cards. Nice place.

Lovely place. I’ve bought so many items / gifts over there... Many items you can definitely buy cheaper somewhere else but if you’re looking for last minute gift idea, nice place to check out. But if you decide to buy something on sale you better check it carefully cause I bought my husband gift and there were two missing pieces. Thirty mins later I called the store and wanted to exchange (they still have one more set available with one missing piece). Since it was a final sale and I couldn’t return I decided to rather have one missing piece on my gift than two... It was a gift for Father’s Day. I was really expecting some understanding ... Unfortunately person on the phone (manager) was much more about making money, I guess, with no sensitivity to the simple fact how important was it to the customer :( I’m very disappointed cause I’ve been in these kind of business and exceptions are always possible ...

Lockwood is very lovely small shop on the quieter streets of Jackson Heights; a place that is perfect for finding gifts and perhaps the occasional splurge. It is a tad on the pricier side given the neighborhood. However, it is quite fun browsing and shopping locally in the community instead of browsing the internet and giving money to large corporations all time. There's tons of items ranging from NYC/Queens/Jackson Heights-themed products to candles, kitchen supplies, baby clothes, toys, greeting cards, games, and so much more. On my first visit, I was specifically looking for gifts and ended up with 2 coasters (Queens and NYC-themed) as well as a cat-themed dish towel that totaled to around $30, I was certainly a happy shopper. The staff at the front desk was helpful and kind. The shop also has a free rewards program which seemed neat. Look forward to visiting this shop more in the coming months!

Nifty shop with lots of knickknacks, socks, mugs, plates, oven mitts, cards, toys, children's books, candles, soaps, unique chocolates, accessories for oneself or the kitchen or bathroom or your tool chest, giftable items, etc. I've befriended one of the ladies who works there and we exchange great conversation when the shop/register is not busy with sales. It's a great comfortable place to go when you need to get out but it's too hot/cold outside. They're usually open until 8pm so if you needed a gift or some other item quick, they'd be easy enough to get to after a regular work schedule if you live in or are visiting the area. All of the sales team that work there are super friendly and can assist you if you're looking for something in particular. It also smells lovely in there - probably due to the candles they house in store. Happy shops!

I bought a really cute pair of socks for my friend. It's a great small business runner by a nice lady she was so sweet. The store has so many nick-nacks to look at. Definitely recommend to go with a frnd to explore the small stuff to buy, like candles, stickers, socks, crystals, etc.

Lockwood is an adorable shop in Jackson Heights. They sell cute and pretty knick knacks: things that you don't need but want. They have candles, incense, jewelry, toys for infants and kids, and stationary. We were visiting friends and they introduced us to this place. It was wonderful! I loved the little custom tunes music boxes, the adorable cat cards, the solid wooden toys for babies. There were painted plastic clips with foxes and hedgehogs on it! It was so adorable! Best shop in the neighborhood for games and puzzles, also earrings! We enjoy stopping in and seeing the nice cards and gifts. The old Hallmark shop on 82nd Street was my old go to shop, but Lockwood is better! Keep up the good work, Lockwood.

Big fan of all of the Lockwood locations, but I live closest to this one. The biggest appeal for me is the ever-changing shelves. I can go in here every week and find 5-10 different things I hadn't seen before. I often stop in Lockwood in the months leading up to birthdays and Christmas for the best random-but-cool gift or stocking stuffer. The prices are pretty reasonable, and they always have cool local gear.

Lockwood is my new neighborhood addiction and I come here almost every week. If you're looking for apartment decorations and accents, various tchotchkes, festive ice cube trays, bottle openers, mini cactus, iPhone fans, mixer sets, T-shirts, drinking games and more novelty items, this is your jam. On the pricey side? Yes. But worth the investment. Not as extensive as say, Fish's Eddy as far as kitchen supplies but ample items that will do just fine in any home setting. And even for the creative workspace as well. This stuff isn't flimsy or poorly made. Each item lasts. I bought gold silly putty last week, a new crushed ice tray and cute little pins to wear so I stand out from the crowd. Plus I got an apron that I've been using each week.

Even though I've been to the original Lockwood once, I wanted to check out the new outpost in Jackson Heights since I'm always on the prowl for delightful Queens goodies. The shop is very adorable and has all sorts of items such as things for the kitchen, home goods, stuff for kiddies, jewelry, books, a few t-shirts, and so forth. Lockwood carries some offerings from Fishs Eddy which is a plus in my book since I love Fishs Eddy. I didn't leave empty-handed and took home a swell dishcloth with a Queens map screenprinted on it. It was around $20 which wasn't super cheap but it was just way awesome. Also awesome are the black bags with gold Lockwood logos that protect your purchases. Very snazzy, According to the nice woman ringing me up, there is some kind of frequent shopper program but I didn't ask for more about it since I don't live nearby. If you're in need for a cool gift for yourself or others, definitely swing by Lockwood if you're in Jackson Heights.

Let me think about it. Absolutely, a treasure is what I would sum up Lockwood. It is definitely a medley of awesome. Coloring books, a miniature wooden model of the F train for you or your child? Maybe you need a pair of chopsticks with support, towels with Queens insignia, baby onesies with icons of Jackson Heights...? Or just maybe some candles, fragrances, and fancy jewelry? What I can I say? I genuinely like this place. I was able to purchase some gifts for a baby shower and make away with some ironic socks. I mean where else can you get such great randomness to uplift you when in a creative funk? I was experiencing a writing block. This is just the place to get those juices flowing...you know what I mean?

A must if you're buying a gift. Excellent customer service and fantastic, diverse selection of product. Had to buy a birthday gift for a dinosaur-loving three-year-old. The store associate recommended the hatching dinosaur in an egg as well as a dino book. My little friend loved his egg and it ended up being his favorite birthday present! It's a nice, peerless business in the neighborhood.

Splendid little shop with accessories, stationary, home goods and decor, toys/games, and children's wear. We stumbled into the store unexpectedly a few weeks ago and found a 1000pc puzzle of sketched cat species (doesn't sound so cute when described like that but it was!) for a friend's birthday. So many fun items and witty posters, along with tastefully designed stationary, pretty kitchenware, a variety candles, and when I was there--Christmas ornaments and cards too. I wanted to spend an hour here looking thru all the different items. A selection of price points to satisfy a variety of customers, though generally a bit on the pricier side, but good to pay a little more to support small businesses and independent artisans.

They have really cute and good quality items for the house hold. Very nice and cozy place to see around.

Such a cute shop. Perfect for low stakes retail therapy. Can you get similar items for cheaper on amazon or Etsy? Of course. But then you'd have to wait at least two days to enjoy your purchase and you wouldn't be supporting a local business. This is my first stop whenever I want to buy a small gift for someone or when I want to browse shiny things that smell good after a hard day at work. My favorite purchase from here is a pair of plastic dryer balls shaped like puffer fish. I named them Mo and Harley and they still aid in drying my laundry over two years later. Did I need Mo and Harley? No. Do they make my life better? For sure. That's Lockwood. Very glad they're in the hood.

This is great place to buy a children's birthday gift, adult gifts, or a gift for just about anyone! If you need a last minute and card then this is your place. The children's section is unique with lots of cute games, puzzles, toys, and gifts for helping kids use their brain in a fun way. I love all of the unique cards as well. People don't send cards as much nowadays but if you get the urge then this is your place! This place has so many great local items too! So for your next birthday, why not impress the person by getting them something from Lockwood!

Good for a quick gift or Jackson Heights\Queens themed items; however, very expensive.

"Do you have Lockwood Loyalty?" Why yes, yes I do! Probably because I'm always here. Rummaging through the bajillion candle assortments, salivating over the jade tableware, poking around the artsy-fartsy holiday cards, eye-ing the Knock Knock pads, flipping through the super cute jewelry, you get the picture. And also that I'm being hyperbolic here. In all seriousness, I am a fan. I had been to the Lockwood in Astoria several times so I was pretty happy it was coming to Jackson Heights. The price points (and quality) of the products are higher than this outpost's counterparts, but this is an undeniable trait of gentrification. The staff are super friendly, and of course the things sold are amazing. I've gotten gifts, things for the house, and jewelry here. They have sales and specials all the time, like their 30 for 30 sale for the month of December, where each day a select item is 30% off. Their marketing via social media is on point. They also have a cute section for baby stuff, in case any of you are in need of shi shi gifts for newborns and toddlers.

Definitely my favorite retailer in Jackson Heights. Great selection of unique gifts, cards and home accessories.

Everytime I come here I end up spending a lot of money. Not because of high prices but because my wife loves this spot. So as you say, money well spent. Get your gifts here and you wont be dissapointed. Come check them out

A store for every liking. This place has basically everything, from candles to socks. The prices range vary. Sales people are always friendly.

Such a lovely store with loads of Queens pride! (though I'm a displaced Brooklynite who was lured to this great borough of low rent and affordable apartments...so I haven't mustered up the energy to actually purchase said Queens pride items) I have yet to make a purchase here, but I've visited a couple of times and just loved browsing all of their items. They have a wide assortment of candles, baby gifts, household items, handmade jewelry and cards - everything! It's definitely worth a look if you live in the area or are moving here!

Everything is so cute. Now don't go there for sales or bargains but for fun cute things that you can get as presents. I for one want to go back for a Jackson Heights tote and maybe a mug. Great selection of cards and cute home stuff like candles and decor.

Opened less than 4 months ago, this Lockwood location (they have another in Astoria), is a great little local goods shop and more. I walked in on a 30% of sale, so you know I had to snag some unique housewares (a serving dish with the smooth lyrics immortalized by the great Lionel Richie, "Easy like Sunday Morning" -- yeah, I know, amaze!), and a slew of fun pins for my flair collection (think Office Space, the movie), oh and even a cute greeting card that I have in mind to gift my sister in law who is obsessed with this thing I can't quite publicize in case she's reading this review (hey girl!) lol. You should definitely get their free, loyalty card for points and eventual perks, too. They have jewelry, housewares, knick knacks, and children's toys and clothes. It's definitely a fun little place to shop and a great addition to Jackson Heights.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS STORE!!! I basically go in this store and I come out with either a purchase or an item to be added to my wish list! I get sucked in here bc everything is sooooo cute! They curate the merchandise so well, keeping it fresh and new quite often. So, it's a store worth visiting as often as possible. I sort of think that due to its popularity, Jackson Heights needs more business like these...maybe for clothing? Love this store!

I have to admit, this place is pretty awesome. They have locally branded stuff, meaning you can get bags, plaques and stuff with "Jackson Heights" or "Queens" on it. They have a great selection of socks that people seem to love now a days that have stuff in curse words all over it. Enamel pins, cool kids toys, weird trinkets and tools you can't really find anywhere else. Every time I enter this store, there is always something that I see that I never knew I needed prior to seeing it. Got myself some cat butt magnets for my fridge, very good last minute gifts for people and the staff is very friendly. They have all kinds of cool things for wine drinkers, which seems to be popular now because of where the neighborhood is going. Its really hard to open a niche shop in the heights now with all the selection going on, but this shop seems to carry just the "right stuff" to keep me coming back often just to see the new things they have. I usually come here also to get a "Grab bag" gift for parties, as they have highly unusual stuff that you wont find elsewhere. Come check them out, you might find something you like!

This store first caught my eye a month or two ago, which seems to be around when it opened. It got my attention because I'd never seen anything of its like in Jackson Heights before. The owner has expanded from a nearby location in Astoria and the store itself is your standard yuppie/yuccie/hipster-catering establishment, which seems a little out of place among the vibe of immigrant families and more low-key mom-and-pop's everywhere in this neighborhood. Although I do think the store is lovely and wish it success, it is something of a bittersweet prescient of what may become of beautiful, and vibrant Jackson Heights as rents in Astoria continue to rise and that neighborhood begins to spill eastward. But that is a discussion for another day. Lockwood is definitely among friends on 37th, the more "upscale" of JH's shopping streets, near places like Arunee Thai, Lemon Farm grocery, and of course Starbucks. Lockwood's offerings include home decor, candles, greeting cards and gift wrap, children's toys, a few kitchen items and books, jewelry, and other accessories. I even saw some coffee in there today. Many items have a neighborhood focus, such as mugs, necklaces, or fitted caps emblazoned with "Queens" and "Jackson Heights"--great for those of us who are as crazy proud of the 'hood as I am. I'm especially a fan of their wide selection of quality soy candles of various different brands. They carry Paddywax, Illume and at least 4 or 5 other artisinal candle brands--although not yet my favorite of all time, Votivo, which I have half a mind to ask the owner if she'll buy for me! ;) The interior of the store is clean, trendy, and appealingly merchandised. Prices here are a little high for the area, but are completely in line with what other retailers will charge for similar products. Some cheery hipster music is usually playing, and the staff here has been friendly and helpful each time I've visited. They have a free points rewards program you can join if you think you're likely to become a regular shopper. Aside from Inner Peace, Jackson Heights really didn't have a gift shop like this. So overall I think Lockwood is a welcome addition, arriving just in time for the holiday season. It is definitely worth a look if you live in the area and want to buy a quality gift without schlepping all the way to Manhattan.

This place is so cute!!! I can be in there forever just looking at all their cute & unique products. They keep it nice and clean. It's definitely one of Jackson Heights' hidden little treasures.

The merchandise looks nice, but I find it too pricey. The mugs and cards are over -priced for most people on a budget, but I like looking at the bags and such. It is good for gift ideas or birthday presents. Good luck, Lockwood, K
