Stayed 4 nights and had the attention of hosts (very attentive and intentional) for first 2 days but then we were the only guests and things were different. It was fine but the food was not as fresh since the chef was not around. The room rates are very very high compared to all other lodging on our trip and the cost of food is double elsewhere at least. The chef cooks a great meal, but USD$60 pp for dinner (all courses), $8 glass of wine, etc is exceptionally high. Lunches were super handy and very delicious for our day trips but they were also USD$20 pp. And here I thought food in the USA was expensive! ||The mistake on our part was not asking for the price list at beginning of our stay. It is not posted anywhere that I could see. That all said, there are not a lot of alternatives in the entire area of the same caliber so this is the best.||Getting suitcases to the room is via wooden walkways (think: Tortel) with steps, so you have to carry them mostly unless you get #3 unit. And the parking is farther away hear road as well, though you can get your car up to the walkway, but its a narrow bumpy little lane.||Summer 2025/26 construction between hotel and Patagonia NP / Cochrane can be tricky. Advice: leave early in AM / come back well after 6 pm or plan for a Sunday (when the construction work is lesser hours). The hotel will only start serving breakfast at 8AM, so you can't leave super early. The construction looks longer term (entire summer?). ||Puerto Bertrand is close in the opposite direction, on a asphalt Ruta 7, so its quick to get there, but the selection of eateries is limited, but there is some mercados.
